What's a good way to start a presentation? 👀✨

Oh! I never greet them XD

That would be a good start though!

Didn’t know that it was a thing. I must have lived under a rock

Edit: Or I’m just rude lol

No, you’re not rude lmao! You just didn’t realize it.

I wonder what people are thinking when someone just starts a presentation without greeting them :skull:

Heh, but it could come off as rude :open_mouth:

I don’t know, hopefully they don’t notice. I don’t think my classmates payed much attention to the presentations lol XD

But if it’s something more formal, work related or so it wouldn’t be the best start

It may come off to rude as then, but Ik you aren’t intentionally trying to be rude, so :woman_shrugging:t4:

True! They’re definitely going to think your rude :skull:

Aww I was too late. I was gonna say to start with: Hey Vsauce, Micheal here.

Props if anyone gets that reference :smirk: :sparkles:

Imho, the best way is to greet the people who will be looking at your presentation. You can’t go wrong when it comes to manners. :man_shrugging:

Always introduce yourself unless you’ve been told not to. I did presentations constantly in high school and unless we were told not to introduce ourselves, we always started by saying our names. The exception being if the hook of your presentation is before you introduce yourself.

Cater how you start the presentation to what you’re presenting.

In school we only did presentations in front of our own class, the people we know so there was no need for introducing ourselves but if that’s not the case then do that!
I’d always start my presentations with today we’ll be talking about…

“Yo, dudes, what’s up?”

or actually taking it seriously, but that’s absolutely crazy
