We all have lyrics in a song that relates to you the most. Which lyrics in a song relates to you personally the most? And why?
for me I will have to say :
“I paced around for hours on empty
I jumped at the slightest of sounds
And I couldn’t stand the person inside me
I turned all the mirrors around” - Control by Hasley
Honesty I dont know why it relates to me so much but it just does!
“When your dreams all fail
And the ones we hail
Are the worst of all
And the blood’s run stale”
Demons ~ Imagine Dragons
When I couldn’t participate in a competitive exam two years ago for which I had practiced day and night for the last 2 years because I got sick from dengue fever, I almost succumbed back to depression. The song’s lyric kind of helped me saying that not all opportunities are worth running for. When God closes one door, he is surely planning something else for you and is willing to open some other door which leads to roads higher than before
And I’ve been a hero Helpless I’m in h3ll And I’ve cried Up and down in these hallways Blamed myself
Bad luck, I don’t wanna be home at midnight Sun’s up, I don’t really wanna fight the daylight I don’t care if you moved on I’m not laying in bed with a fcked up head I’m not laying in bed with a fcked up-
“You’re the sunflower, I think your love would be too much.”
Because I’m a very loyal person, and I’ve been told often that when I love people, sometimes I love way too much, get clingy, and want to spend as much time as I can with those special people in my life. This applies to all the relationships in my life, not only romantic.
And from the same song, this lyric: "Every time [you’re] leaving on me, You don’t make it easy, no… Wish I could be there for you, Give me a reason to… go… Every time [you’re] walking out, I can hear you telling me to turn around, Fighting for [your] trust and I won’t back down, Even if we have to risk it all right now… You know I’m scared of the unknown… I don’t wanna be alone. But [you] always come and go, and it’s out of my control."
I just changed the ‘I’ to ‘you’ in some parts. But this perfectly describes something that I’ve been going through this year.
“I’m young, but I’m wise enough to know
That you don’t fall in love overnight”
Song lyrics from a song of my favorite singer, Brandy Norwood. These lyrics relate to me because even though I’m young, I know certain things that more commonly, some older people would know-- like falling in love. Ahem I’m looking at you, Episode romance stories…
“You take things so hard and then you fall apart”
“They call you cry baby, cry baby, but you don’t fckng care
Cry baby, cry baby, so you laugh through your tears”
-Cry Baby, Melanie
We’ll get out of this
We’ll get out of this too
I’m not proud of this
But I’m not proud of the truth
And if you run from me
Then I’ll use my trick on you
The truth is that I’m screwed
There’re a bunch of lyrics that I relate to, I can’t really say which ones I relate to most I mean, I also write my own songs so I probably relate to those lyrics the most?
