WOW. It’s the most stupid thing ever! Honestly, I just gave up and started leaving cooked meals lying about everywhere and letting him take them when he wants them.
My tip: finish the cooking aspiration for one of your sims and then leave cooked meals everywhere. Sims with the cooking aspiration complete make food that never spoils!

They recently sent out an update for the cooking and toddler glitch. Do you two have anything playing while you play the Sims 4? I would check your task managers and check to see if you have any programs working in the background. Then check to the start-up tab and see if there is any high volume programs playing. Disable them and your game should hopfully improve. Also make sure all drivers are updated.
