Just note that the Sim’s 3 has some problems with windows 10. So you will have to work on the properties section of the game.

Cool! You should get Origin access it discounts the other packs by 10% plus it has some of the packs for free in the origin vault games.

Yeah I use origin! I have the free Christmas one as well. I mainly get packs when they are on sail

Yeah, they have a subscription that lowers the price everyday. I use the basic plan which gives access to some of the sims games and other games that EA makes.
