Ouioui
What’s university like, like do you get to play with the unis?

Yes

HAHA yessir
But at the time I got those I was doing a 100 baby challenge but I’m almost done that, hence the family oriented
(But also I do love families haha)

What’s that one about?
I know the game just got updated cause of it (or something) but I know literally nothing about it haha

Oooh
I got that in sims 3 and at first I was like meh but it got better with time

I never build LMAO that’s too difficult for meh

100 baby challenge is fun. I really enjoyed like playing my 100 baby challenge, and the moment you finish is honestly pretty bittersweet :joy:

It’s basically inspired by British countryside. It gives you quite an old fashioned but beautiful cottage style world (like you feel your sims traveled back in time at least 20 years), hence the clash with the rest of the game as that’s very modern. But it’s also adds a lot of farming (like cows, lamas, chickens and big crops) and activities (canning, picnicking and cross-stitching). Idk, for some reason that just gave me vibes that I wanted to play with multiple generations households and slowly expand on their farm.

Horses in sims 3 were so much fun :joy: For me pets are sort of an essential as I love animals, but I won’t lie maybe other packs do give you more new gameplay as the pets in sims 4 are not playable. Your sims can interact with them, but they basically are just moving objects in sims 4 (which has its charm tho)

Fair enough, it takes effort to learn how to build well in the sims and that might not be something everyone enjoys :eyes: I used to hate building cause it too me way too much time :joy:

It’s fine! No need to check it right now

Yeah, there are two unis to play with. From teen years you can start going for them. By gaining skills and studying hard, even by having a part-time job. Doing well at these things can help get scholarships to pay for uni. Then you can apply, smarter applicants can get into high distinction majors.
Uni costs too - each paper and living accommodations, so scholarships help. You can choose to each dorm, flat, or live at home, which saves money.
Then when you’re at uni, your sim must pass 12 papers/classes to pass. But you can only complete 4 each semester (week). Each paper classes (2-3 a week) with homework after class, as well as finishing the semester with either a mid-term, exam, or presentation.
There are also clubs you can join on campus and extra classes you can randomly choose to sit.

I think that’s all (thinking)

What’s the job?

I adore it so much, started it on sims 3 and once I got sims 4 I was like we know the first thing we doing here
I’m not going to stop playing that file though I’ve invested too many children

Oooh that’s cute, I was thinking it was just like living in cottages and swimming in lakes haha but it sounds like it’s a sort of like pioneer times
That sounds interesting but I’m almost worried of how much I’d use that, though who’s to say until I get it haha

I LOVED THE HORSES OMG
Appaloosa Plains was my life and love and omg I need to get back into sims 3 again god I miss it
Yeah I hate that, I’ve noticed that in other gameplays and I was like,,, shouldn’t I be God???

bro I downloaded this house from the gallery that had a bunch of stuff from packs and cc I didn’t have and fixing it made me want to shoot someone my god I am not an architect

okok I got up finally haha and it’s the kid stuff pack is anyone surprised HAHA

Oh this is literally schoool then LMAO
Sounds really interesting though, this one moves up my list

Retail, clothing store for the youths more specifically

Same, I still play regularly with my families (basically gave the last generation of 100 babies all a family and play them rotationally). Kinda like an extreme legacy challenge.

Yeah, but honestly I have that personally with quite a few of the expansions (except for seasons), they all really require you to actively choose to use them.

Yeah, 80% of my time in the sims 3 was I’m Appaloosa Plains. I also got back into the sims 3 recently, but honestly the poor graphics compared to the sims 4 is holding me back slightly from actually enjoying it. I mean, I love the sims 3 gameplay so much more than sims 4, but aesthetically sims 4 is so much better.

That’s a mood. If you ever want to learn to get better at building or want me to build a house for your sims, feel free to send me a DM :eyes:

Ahhh, one I don’t own. I don’t know, I like the idea but I feel like the back doesn’t have any real features CC can’t bring me

Yeah, I would definitely recommend for it to be near to the top. (wink)

Nice. Congrats, babe

I’ve played the sims ever since sims 2. In sims 2 I was mainly addicted to the universities, I loved that expansion so much. While sims 4 university brought back some of that excitement, I have to say that it’s not my favourite pack this time around. So this is basically a more critical review of the expansion. In the sims 4 it took me a while to even take a sim to university as I gave up the first time I tried cause the application process is a bit complicated and time consuming. But when I tried again a few months later after a wait of a few sims days, I saw its charm. The dorms are pretty cute and somewhat realistic. It’s also rad your sims don’t have to cook themselves if they live in a dorm, that means more time to study (or organise a keg party of course :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:). It is a proper challenge if you do 4 courses at the same time and want your sim to have a social life as well (just like real life :upside_down_face:). The sims 2 university felt a bit more laid back and fun. I guess that’s partially because compared to the total life span of sims, it takes quite a bit of time to complete university in the sims 4 with relatively little benefits for completion. Like it takes at least 21 sim days while the total life span on normal is 93 days total (so it basically requires to play on long span and even then I feel like if I don’t do 4 courses my sim is a student most of their lives). In sims 2 it felt much more integrated and like your sim actually achieved something useful upon graduation (might be just me being too nostalgic and misremembering).
It does have a lot of nice features though, the professor career is pretty cool and I actually like the roommate system. Basically regardless of the neighbourhood your sim can choose to have roommates, and it’s pretty fun cause they don’t always act properly and can create a lot of drama. Also, it’s rad there are 2 different universities in the same world so you can use that in gameplay.
All in all I would give the pack a 8 out of 10

yess the dream
moved the adult kids in with each other mostly so would love to play them sometimes, see what they be up to aha

Oooh that’s true actually, I never thought of it like that

I hardly even remember sims 3 graphics, but gameplay, omg, sims 3 was undefeated in that sector
like I miss so many things about sims 3 gameplay that they neglected to put in sims 4—like that feature where parents can go away for the weekend and teends can throw a party?? The way I used that everytime it popped up
Also also teens learning to drive ALSO just CARS in general
and I loved the bus to school thing like I know it was glitchy but I just loved seeing that rather than them just disappearing
Also idk if I’m just doing it wrong in sims 4 but I really loved the sims 3 being able to plan a party in advance, I hate that it just starts as soon as you press it
ALSO HORSES :sob::sob::Sobb:

OMG BUILD ME ALL THE HOUSES IMMA DM YOU RIGHT NEOW

I literally only got it cause I bought the bundle, and it included a stuff pack—I’m not someone who cares much about stuff packs at all because I no build haha but the kids one seemed best suited for 100 baby
For CC, are you maxis or alpha?

THANK

Yeah, it’s so much fun to see what they end up doing after you have moved them out of the house… Even in the 100 baby challenge I get so invested in all the kids, and honestly, I preferred playing it a bit slower. Like 6 kids a generation max. It just felt weird to me the oldest kid would get older than the mom otherwise :joy:

That’s one of my main issues with the sims 4 tbh

Sims 2 is very close tho in my opinion :eyes: That had some amazing gameplay as well…

Ooh, yeah, we need a generations expansion and it should definitely include that!

Yeah, I have a mod in my game tho that brings both those things to the sims 4 :eyes:

As Dutch person who isn’t used to school buses but most kids walking or cycling to school instead, I don’t really mind it. But yeah, I just miss in general some attention for small fun details in the sims 4.

Yeah, I think through the calendar you should be able to plan ahead. But I often accidentally mess that up as well, was much clearer in the sims 3…

Anytime!

Fair enough, haha, not the biggest fan of any stuff pack except tiny living myself. But it definitely does seem fitting

Maxis with a touch of alpha. For cas 99% is maxis, with the exception of makeup, with too much alpha it feels like the sims don’t belong in the world. Same for build/buy cc, I want it to fit in with the actual maxis stuff.

You’ve never played Sims 1?

Well, I’ve played it a couple of times at a friend’s place and it’s pretty rad, but never owned it myself. Probably because the sims 2 was out when I started playing the game and that felt like a game with way more possibilities than the sims 1, so I never really had an interest in getting it.

Oooooh… right okay. I still maintain that Sims 1 had the best neighbourhoods and save functions.

Interesting, what about the neighbourhoods made them so good in your opinion

The fact that there were 8 for starters. Yeah, they were all the same, with only the first couple having starting families like the Goths and Newbies. I miss the newbies sooo much. HAHAHA. Anyway, from what I can remember of Sims 2, it was good as well. I just liked having so much space to do with it what I liked, as well as having the individual saves for each household.

I’ve been playing so much sims lately
And I bought 2 expansions to game packs and 2 stuff packs on impulse last week even tho I’m broke

I mean get to work and get together are lowkey basic essentials to me

But university one is definitely a good one I agree on that

City living too I love it a lot and it adds to the game too in like events and stuff which in nice

Island living is nice too and adds mermaids too which is nice if you like fantasy expansions (and if you do the vampires one and the realm of magic are also nice)

Get famous isn’t my favorite out of the ones I have tbh but the aspect of like sims having different fame levels and good or bad reputation can be interesting sometimes

Cats and dogs is always fun because what’s better than having a pet
Plus owning a vet clinic is also nice if you do that
It’s like a playable job like the get to work ones but a little different because you own the place

Snowy escape I honestly have no idea about and I’ve never heard from anyone that they have it so idk

Eco lifestyle and cottage living I heard a lot of good things about both of them but I have neither yet
They do sound nice especially cottage living

OMG! That’s sooo true. It does add a lot to the game, even if you don’t use apartments much and use the other lots more.
