Why Have There Been So Many HTTP Error 500's?

So, erm, yeah…
This is happening at least 2 times every day?
The forums have been down a lot.
It’s kinda annoying, hehe.

I googled the error code, essentially according to the internet error 500 is an internal thing, maybe a malfunction?

I’m not a professional this is just a guess from what i’ve gathered online
