What is astrology?
Astrology is the study of the influence that cosmic objects, like the sun, moon, and planets, have on human lives. The position of these cosmic objects at the time of someone’s birth is said to shape their personality and affect their romantic relationships.

Sun signs
Sun signs are what people are generally referring to when they ask for someone’s star sign. It refers to where the sun was at the time of one’s birth and represents their identity.

Sun sign dates
Aries: March 21-April 19
Taurus: April 20-May 20
Gemini: May 21-June 20
Cancer: June 21-July 22
Leo: July 23-August 22
Virgo: August 23 - September 22
Libra: September 23 - October 22
Scorpio - October 23 - November 21
Sagittarius - November 22 - December 21
Capricorn - December 22 - January 19
Aquarius - January 20 - February 18
Pisces - February 19 - March 20

Moon signs:
Similar to the sun sign, but moon signs focus on the location of the moon at the time of your birth. These focus on the soul behind your identity and is the driving force behind your emotional reactions.

Rising signs:
Your rising sign is the sign that was on the Eastern horizon at the time of your birth. It dictates your social personality.

Elements:
Each element in the astrological zodiac falls under one of the four elements: air, earth, fire, and water. Here are the signs by element:
Air signs: Gemini, Libra, Aquarius
Earth signs: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn
Fire signs: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
Water signs: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces

Ruling planets
The ruling planet of your sign is the planet whose energies have the most influence on you. Here are the ruling planets by sign:

My sun sign is Virgo, I don’t know about the others. But I know that sometimes I’m really a typical Virgo and sometimes I’m not :joy:
My Mum is really nothing like her signs, so I’m not sure if I really believe in the positions of the cosmic objects having an influence on your personality

My sun sign is Aquarius and moon sign is Virgo. I fit my moon sign perfectly but I’m not that stubborn and sociable as Aquarius is :eyes:
