Announcing the Queer Writer’s Contest

The Queer title I didn’t know had bad beginnings :no_mouth: But I thought it was weird that of all things they chose Queer, why not Pride? :thinking:

People who have experience in certain topics (i.e.bisexuality) who can read someone else’s story and make sure their topic is being portrayed correctly

I don’t see the problem with straight people entering, we aren’t stupid. We can touch on this subject as well. Is that what’s happening? And why the word Queer?

But I don’t agree with some of the people on the thread saying qu**r isn’t a slur. It might have not been originally but it’s used against homosexuals a lot and have been for many years. It’s a slur.

They say they only said we can’t write about LGBT tribulations, then say that means we shouldn’t enter as if that’s the only thing we could write about…
