nevermind… the petition we signed didn’t work. despite over 200,00 signatures for an appeal, it didn’t work. he died in the chair as a death sentence. he was the ONLY person sentenced to death out of all people involved in the crime…

Yeah saw that happen yesterday…

Literally why I can never support the death penalty, all they do is misuse it (if there even is a proper use for it)
Like from the Salem witch trials to lynching and giving that little boy the electric chair to this… if history says anything it’s that people can’t be trusted with something with as much power as the death penalty

It’s not even that he didn’t do the crime, he did, though he was 18 and forced to, his actions still led to the death of two people. But he didn’t have the lead role in the crime, and yet no other people were sentenced to death… And you can tell how much he’s changed from then, how much of a better person he’s become. I mean, he spent three minutes apologizing to the victims family and his family and everyone he harmed when he was about to be killed

Well, actually, I’m not sure the reasons for denying the stay were explained any more :(( I agree with you on the death penalty, a lot of things clearly establish that the only reason it’s still there is that the USA refuse to let go of their “tradition”.
