Can users be able to change their username color? I can see how it would be an issue to change everyoneās color, so maybe make it a reward for patrons, user of the month, rper of the month and other similar things?
@ShanniiWrites does discorse allow this?

have less biased mods
None of the mods here are biased, if you can give evidence of a time you think a mod was biased then I suggest going to Deluge about it.
wdym biased?

Whenever you have a problem with something you are always said to talk to Deluge about it , but what if you have a problem with him? What do you do then?
@ShanniiWrites or any of the other @AdminTeam if you donāt wanna go to Shannii straight away.
I do just feel like pointing out the fact whenever we get āimprovementsā like these and we ask you to follow through, PM us, send screenshots or whatever, you never do. You say so much anonymously and I only post it just incase your complaints are genuine and hold water but most of the time they donāt.
If you really think the mods and staff here are so bad then why not show us what is bad instead of using empty words?
How are we supposed to improve if you donāt actually tell us what the problem is and how we can work on it?
In my entire time of asking anonymous people to PM me with their issues I have had one person come to me directly and yes, the issue got resolved. We canāt fix a problem if we donāt know what it is.
Sorry you feel that way but please can you give me some actual examples with evidence of times a mod was biased.
Thereās always been an answer to this.
Trying to find examples of hypocrisy in the staff is a losing battle, they may exist but they arenāt surface level like this.
Mainly for legal reasons. I donāt want the Forums or anyone else to get in trouble for talking about inappropriate things with minors.
As someone who was directly affected by my complaints about Jeremy being handled by Jeremy himself on the Episode Forums, one of the first rules I ever put into place was a rule saying thereās always someone else you can complain to.
Except me. If you have a problem with me, maybe donāt use the forums I pay for?
But thatās why I donāt get directly involved in discipline except in extreme circumstances. So I donāt p*** anyone off and they donāt have a problem with me.
Seriously, though. The Forums are privately owned. I pay hundreds of dollars per month to run them. That means I get the final say in what rules are put in place.
Have your parents ever said āmy house, my rulesā to you? Same thing.
If you wanna complain about the rules or free speech or something, I suggest finding another platform. Youāre not gonna come to my property and act entitled about how I run my property.
On the other hand, if you have suggestions to improve, Iād be happy to hear them! I try my best to adapt the Forums to what the users want and need as much as I can and your advice and suggestions are sincerely considered. Just donāt expect me to change my mind on hate speech rules or something

I know you say āpm us to try to resolve your problem!ā but will you actually though? Because based on some previous responses to these improvements, Iām not too sure. I know itās cowardly to hide behind a mask of anonymity, but Iād rather that tbh.
Part of the issue with anonymously sending us stuff is that we get lots of comments that are trolling comments, and itās hard for us to do anything without evidence or even knowing enough about the issue. We can ask for clarification, and we can trust people more when theyāre not anonymous. We really do want to resolve issues on the forums
YES I HAVE SAID THIS SO MANY TIMES
Reasons why it doesnāt work to deal with things anonymously:
- You never send any evidence of your claims
- You never follow up on anything after we ask you to
- This is an improvement form not a ācomplain about the staff and other users formā (with that said if you do think there is an issue in the staff but you donāt target anyone directly then sure send it and I donāt mean things like āmods bad reeeā I mean things like āthis is an issue that can be improved byā¦ā)
- There is a gigantic lack of context
- It can come across as trolling
Reasons why it works to deal with things non-anonymously:
- You can talk to someone directly who can take the necessary steps to solve the problem
- It seems more serious rather than trolling
- We can discuss things with you in private with full confidentiality rather than hanging out your dirty laundry in public
- We get the context we need
- You get to back up your claims
Me and Passie donāt post every improvement we get, wanna know why?
Because some of them just say stuff like:
āFire [INSERT STAFF MEMBER]ā
ā[INSERT STAFF MEMBER] is really unprofessional and I have screenshot evidenceā (evidence which never gets sent btw despite me saying many times that we need it)
āThe staff are all attention seekersā
āStop complaining and do your jobā
āOh hey remember this issue we had ages ago which has actually been solved, letās bring that up againā
āYouāre all biasedā
None of these are improvements, this is an improvement form.
I mean come on guys really? we volunteer our time to help you all and I know we arenāt perfect but you really arenāt helping, Iāve said it before and Iāll say it again, if we donāt see the issue we canāt solve it.
We are here to try and make the forums better for all of you so frankly the implication that we wouldnāt try and solve your problem if you came to us is insulting.
Just PM us we are here to be PMed, if you have an issue with any of the staff then go to the heads, if you have an issue with that specific head then go to Shannii or a different head. Deluge is the head of discipline so he is your best bet but if you have a problem with him please donāt act like you have nobody else to go to. If you have a problem with all the heads including Shannii and you donāt wanna come to any of us then I donāt know what to tell you other than you should consider the role you actually play in the community because if you donāt wanna help solve the problem then you are part of the problem.
