He raised an eyebrow. “There was evidence?” He had only came over to see why he didn’t protect Isabella in the first place. But this?! This was something even he wasn’t expecting. He watched the two for a moment before stepping forward a little. “What exactly happened that night Isabella went missing?!” He was practically demanding for the answer at this point.

In the hall | w/Isla and Gurgen

Isla mentioned she wanted to see the evidence, and being so surprised and shocked, he forgot she was talking about Isabella “Do you mean the kiss?” He then thought about it and realized what she really meant and said “Oh you mean Isabella. Sorry I was on the phone about getting some photos from another client off the internet and that was still on my mind. But yeah, I have the videos on my drive so i could just show you on my laptop.”
The man that stood in the hall with them, who Rowan assumed was disturbed by Isla’s knocking and shouting decided to check what was going on, spoke up. “What exactly happened that night Isabella went missing?” to which Rowan asked Isla “Who is this clown?” It was different with Isla. Rowan didn’t mind sharing information about Isabella with Isla, although he didn’t like her. However, this random guy neither knew Rowan nor has been anywhere near Isabella in the decade he’s worked for her. Rowan faced him “I don’t trust you with the evidence. Are you here with Isla or on your own? Because if she can’t vouch for you, I’m afraid I don’t want to show you anything.”

She pondered on his suggestion. A ‘black Russian’ sounded like a bitter drink. Humming just slightly as she nodded, “I will give it a try.” she murmured to herself before thinking it over a moment more. It was something new, something she hasn’t had before. "“I think I will give it a try. Is it a sweet drink? Or…” she trailed off. She hoped her excitement hadn’t shown. But being the sloppy drunk she was, there was no hiding her grin.

He was a little taken back. This was something he felt he was in titled to know. He’d known her his whole life, he was practically family to her. “I am here on my own behalf. I grew up with Isabella.” He struggled to get his phone out of his pocket and pulled up the email that Jorge had sent him before handing it off to Rowan. “I’m here to get answers about these. Jorge, Isabella’s brother, sent me these.” He felt himself feeling anxious now that he was faced with Rowan, and his medication didn’t seem to be helping his fluster.

Beck waited for the guy she suspected was Ravi’s husband to address her, but she couldn’t really see him since his friend’s back was turned away from her. Eventually, the guy turned, looking confused. She was already starting to feel embarrassed for interrupting their conversation., but knowing whether that was Ravi’s husband was more important.

"Are you sure you mean me? I’m just a nobody.”

The man’s jawline looked like he could cut something with it, and his eyes were icy blue. He certainly didn’t look like a nobody. In fact, he looked like he could star as a superhero. She put on a charming smile, taken aback by how attractive he was. “Sorry, no, I meant the guy next to you or…” She said, pointing across the table to the guy sitting next to him at the bar. She still wasn’t completely sure if it was him because there were voices everywhere and she had only stole a small glance at them while they were talking. “I was saying one of you guys sounded familiar because…well…my friend Ravi was going through a similar situation where she’s unhappy in her marriage. She met her husband in India and I heard you say something about that.” Beck internally cringed. what am i doing right now. what of thats not actually her husband. Why did i have to mention she’s unhappy in her marriage… She tried to think of the least awkward way to explain this. “I’m sorry.” She finally sputtered out. Even through her awkwardness, excitement rose in her chest at this possible coincidence.

She smiles at him. “Well that’s good that your mom was awesome that is always nice to have i’m sure. And I know it is not your fault about my parents, but the good news is it made me grow up faster and become more independent, so it has its perks and now I control my own money and how I want to save or spend it.” She took a drink finishing it. “Do you have any secret talents?”

Jorge pulled up to the hotel. He sighed as they didn’t make any progress. He looked to Davit. “Just call me when you want to pick it up tomorrow.” He said remembering why Davit even came into town. He was still so sad that Isabella was missing and hurt.

Cole smiled as they talked. He loved getting to know Savannah. “Well, that’s good that you get to do what you want with your money now.” He finished his drink as well. She then asked if he had any secret talents. “Well… I play guitar and can fix cars.” He shrugged his shoulders like neither was a big deal. For Cole not much was the same since his mom passed. He had kinda given up on a lot of things he loved. However, maybe if Cole could find the perfect someone… Well, maybe then he could get back to those things he loved to do before his mom passed away. He smiled at her. “What do you like to do for fun?” He asked trying to lighten the mood some.

Tommy was shocked and taken back by what all Dave said. He couldn’t believe Dave was acting like such an arrogant @$$. What on earth gave him the right to suggest that Helen and Tommy share a room. Sure, they had confessed they had feelings for each other and shared a passionate kiss, but that didn’t mean they wanted to sleep in the same bed. He respected Helen too much to take advantage of this situation. Sure, he would love to share a bed with her. However, he wouldn’t do that unless it’s what she wanted. He wanted to speak so bad. However, he knew in this moment Helen needed to process. His head was a mess right now. How did all this drama and bull$h!t come about in the first place. Dave always seemed to be an entitled prick, but this took the cake by far. All he ever tried to do was manage Dave’s career and be his friend. For Dave to say all those things. It felt like a slap in the face.

Tommy sighed a little louder than he meant too. He then looked over to Helen. “Are you okay Helen?” He finally asked. He wanted to say so much more. The things Dave suggested just wasn’t right. He was furious with Dave, but Dave ran away like a little b!t*h before he could say anything to him. “If you want some space… I can go,” He said to Helen as his phone went off and he looked and saw it was Rayla, but he couldn’t make out what she said. He figured she was at the bar where he left her, and she was drunk. However, that wasn’t important right this moment. In this moment all he cared about was comforting Helen and making sure Helen was okay. Tommy was sure that the bartender would watch over Rayla till he could get there. Tommy slipped his phone back in his pocket. He looked over to Helen again holding his breath for a response from her.

“I am here on my own behalf” Said the strange man. Rowan looked at Isla.“Do you guys know each other?” Then he turned to the man. “Because I still don’t trust you. It’s so interesting that you only started asking questions about Isabella’s dissapearance the very night it became public news. Anybody could claim they knew Isabella to get information about her. I’ve been working with Isabella for 10 years, and in the last decade you were neighter mentioned to me or seen by me, so if you want my proof, I need your proof. Show me some irrefutable proof you knew Isabella and I’ll consider showing you information.” He turned to Isla again. Even though he didn’t like her and he didn’t like Isabella when she was around her, he knew she meant well. She had every right to be suspicious of Rowan, and he wanted to help her and was starting to like her. "Isla, if you want I’ll show you the videos and the photos. It’s messed up though … " He gave the side eye to the man as he was saying the next part. " and some of Jorge’s old friends are involved." As if trying to insinuate this guy might be Jorge’s old friend trying to get to his hands on the evidence to destroy it, either for Jorge’s sake, his own sake, or both. Rowan wanted to believe this man was just a reporter, but name dropping Jorge doesn’t sit well with him, because he can never know how involved and friendly he was with Jorge. Was he also one of the guys that sexually harrased his sister? Rowan was considering asking for his name to find any correlation with known crimes of Jorge or his friends to maybe connect him to Jorge and see if he was more than a childhood friend, but that would take a few hours behind a screen, for sure. But then he remebered he has their phone numbers in his phone. He hoped she would remeber to ask for his name to see if the list of numbers has his name on it or not.

He could tell he wasn’t getting anywhere with his phone, so he placed it back in his pocket as he sucked in air through gritted teeth. It was obvious why he hadn’t known since he was out of the country…

“and some of Jorge’s old friends are involved.”

“Jorge’s old friends?” The thought crept about his mind. ‘What did his old crew do to be involved?’ his thoughts continue to race as he recalled some of the terrible things they did as kids. But those days were way pass them. They had all grown up or so he thought.

“I haven’t heard anything about her kidnapping due to be out of the country. I was in Germany for the past couple of months. Needed a get away from…stuff.” . He wasn’t wanting to disclose the real reason, even if it did make him seem suspicious. But this was the best he could. He held his hands up helplessly as he continued. “I just need to know any kind of -details- I mean if the is any kind of evidence…” . The anger he felt earlier had been replaced by worry? Concern? Sorrow? He wasn’t quite sure but he didn’t like how it had made him feel so vulnerable and exposed. For being an actor, he couldn’t hide his real feelings unless he was in front of the camera or using. And he desperately wanted his medicine but he fought the urge. Doing everything in his power to stay focus on finding the answers.

He nodded. “I will call first thing morning.” He offered a warm smile to help comfort him. “you try to get some sleep as well. She’ll need you at your fullest mindset.”

After closing and waving Jorge off, did he managed to go in and secure himself a room at a semi decent price. It didn’t take him long to reach the room, check for possible hidden cameras, and check the lock to make sure the room was safe for himself for the night. Only then did he find himself crashing into the comfort of the bed as if he was a busy housewife who had been on the go since before the early bird could sing their songs.

It didn’t take long for sleep to take him, leaving his room light on as he dreamt away his day.

Blake stood in front of the desk that was in his room, his mind wandering and his hair slightly damp from the sauna. He looked down at the picture on his table that was taken of him crouched down next to a black German Shepherd and smiling. He brought that picture on to the trip for sentimental value. It was his favorite picture that was taken by a close friend.

Flashback

5aab7050ff11de75e24d91f406be1920

“This is my dog shaggy” His friend Zache said with a smile on his face. Blake looked down at the dog who was so enthusiastic to the point where it was endearing. “Let me guess, you named his after Scooby Doo?” Blake asked, slightly teasing him. “course I did. What other shaggy is there?” His voice was gruff and low which often intimidated people. He pet the dog which prompted Blake to do the same thing. Soon they were out in Zache’s backyard because he was touring his new house. He was both a stunt man for actors and a wrestler which made him able to afford his home, even though it was still pretty small and quaint.

After some time of talking about the house and yard, Zache turned to him.“You want to take a picture with him?” He asked. “Yeah of course.” Blake said with a goofy smile. They both laughed at his exaggerated expression. He knelt down and did a pose while hugging Shaggy, while his friend took the picture.

5aab7050ff11de75e24d91f406be1920

Blake’s mind went back to the present time when he stopped looking at his picture. He had left the sauna to answer a phone call. It was about the news article involving him, Marco and Lucy but when he tried to get back in the sauna he couldn’t. So now he was in his room, thinking about everything and nothing. He figured Marco had disappeared somewhere which disappointed him. He hoped that he wasn’t angry or anything but deep down he knew that he might be.

Blake was thinking he would stay in his room for now and started relaxing in his bed, still wearing his robe. He turned the tv on and closed his eyes, hoping to hear from Marco soon.

Isla wondered who Gurgen was to Isabella because he seemed to know her and have a good relationship with her. As she looked at him she still felt suspicious but he seemed to be forthcoming and wanted the evidence just like her. Maybe he was in the same position as her. “How do you know Isabella?” Isla asked. Her tone was slightly more normal and not angry. “Do you know any of his other friends?” In the back of her mind, she had a plan. She turned to Rowan again. “If you have evidence for what Jorge did then why haven’t you gone to the police? I’m actually going to California right after this to find Jorge and talk to him. Maybe that would be a good time to do so…” Her tone was more forward as she looked at Rowan with a threatening glare.

The stranger said something again. “I haven’t heard anything about her kidnapping due to being out of the country. I was in Germany for the past couple of months. Needed a get away from … Stuff.” Which made Rowan roll his eyes. “Listen kid, I don’t care about your life story. I asked you who you are and you keep telling me all the other information instead.” The man said again. “I just need to know any kind of details. I mena if there is any kind of evidence…” Which made Rowan angry. I won’t share any of it with you. Why should I? You won’t even share your name and you want me to share sensitive information with you? And when ‘explaining’ who you are, you kept it so vague … You’ve given me nothing, and I’ll do you the same curtesy." When Isabella said “How do you know Isabella?” Rowan got a headache. He already asked him this and he answered hat he was Issa’s friend. Was she not listening to the conversation? She asked him something else while Rowan was trying to ascertain if the guy in front of him was just a psycho fan who after reading the news about Issa’s dissapearance decided to pretend to be Issa’s friend, or if he’s Jorge’s friend and very dangerous. The key factor might be his age, but his name will make Rowan know for sure. Then Isla tured to Rowan to say something so he paid attention to her words. "If you have evidence of what jorge did then why haven’t you gone to the police? Rowan arched his eyebrows, confused. "What makes you think I didn’t tell it to the police? He asked her. Then he got even more confused. “Anyways … Didn’t I tell you already that I gave it to the police as my alibi?” She then said “Im actually going to California right after this to find Jorge and talk to him. Maybe that would be a good time to do so…” That sentence and that idea washed Rowan’s face out with fear. He knew what Jorge was capable of, and he knew if he knew about the evidence he would do whatever it takes to get rid of that evidence. This way there will be no stopping him. “Listen I don’t know if that’s a good idea. I certainly see Jorge in a new light after this and … Knowing what he was capable of doing in the videos … I’m afraid to confront somebody capable of that.”

His eyes drew over to the child before him when he realized they were asking him a question. This child seemed to be after the same information he was after…why… he couldn’t think of a reason, nor did he entertain the thought much. “Isa and I are childhood friends. he paused as he recalled a few fond memories of them.
“Sorry, I don’t think I’ve introduced myself. I’m Gurgen. Gurgen Blackwell. Isa and I both started our acting career together.” his gaze fell to the floor as he recalled their first time acting. He couldn’t recall the script they played out, but he recalled seeing her in the spotlight. She had a glow at that moment that outshone everyone else there. She was meant to act.

Coming back to reality, he looked back up to the stranger before him. Somehow the child he was talking to wasn’t a child anymore. It felt like his mind was clear from the influence of his medicine, he was thinking clearer.

“Do you know any of his other friends?”

He paused for a moment to ponder. “His other friends? Was she referring to Jorge? Isas brother? " He wasn’t entirely sure how to answer such a complicated question. Indeed he knew of Jorge’s friends, after all he was part of the same friend group. But they had cut ties when Gurgen had become a customer. Gurgen had become highly addicted to the supply they sold to the point they couldn’t keep up with the demands of other clients and Gurgen. Choices were made and action was taken that day.

He let out a sigh full of regret. “I once knew of Jorge’s friends, can’t say I know them now.” He had done many things with that group that he would regret one day, but was this the day he would start regretting? Probably not fully. And he knew this himself.

“You’ve given me nothing, and I’ll do you the same courtesy.” He looked over at Rowan, confused. He had indeed given him the information he had asked for…. didn’t he?

He was deep in thought as the other two talked. He snapped back into the conversation when he heard the stranger say “going back to California”

He glanced at her. His brother should already be there with Jorge…He wanted to say something but felt it was irrelevant, and chose not to reveal this matter. ”It mattered not, I’m already suspicious in their books.” He thought to himself. He continued to listen as they chatted amongst themselves. Trying to put the pieces together. Evidence? Video? Jorge? Wait… Jorge? Jorge was somehow involved in his sister’s kidnapping? That’s impossible! Jorge was overly protective of his sister. Wait… he recalled what the woman had said not even long ago. ‘Evidence of what Jorge did…’ This was clearly a lot bigger than what he thought he knew.

Isla looked Gurgen up and down. He was a childhood friend of Isabella. She felt a small spark of jealousy plain clothes…boring she thought to herself. He must have been someone that Isabella had never talked about to her or maybe she just didn’t remember. The thought that Isabella had a childhood friend who she didn’t know bothered her a little but now wasn’t the time to dwell on it. An idea about Jorge was forming in her mind.

“Listen I don’t know if that’s a good idea. I certainly see Jorge in a new light after this and … Knowing what he was capable of doing in the videos … I’m afraid to confront somebody capable of that.”

“Look…I’m going to California to talk to Jorge whether you want me to or not.” She was starting not to care about seeing the evidence for his crime, she just wanted to get to California already. Talking to both Rowan and…Gurgen? Was giving her a headache. She didn’t bother to introduce herself to Gurgen either. “Right now, I don’t care about the evidence for his crime. I can see that later.”

She then started walking down the hallway thinking of what she was going to do when she finally saw Jorge. Threatening him about knowing his crime to get some information about what happened to Isabella seemed like a good idea, but she didn’t mention this to Rowan or Gurgen. Instead, she walked down the hallway, not bothering to stop and disappeared around the corner.

Jorge waited for Davit to get into the hotel room. Then he drove off. Thinking about Isabella. He went home to decompress from the day he had. It was so surreal to see Davit again. He finally arrived home and went inside and crashed into the couch and fell asleep.

Lucy had left Blake and Marco in the spa. Then she had went back to Steven. Her and Steven had spent some time together. Then Lucy read an article that talked about her and Blake. She wanted answers. So, she decided to march up to Blake’s room. Along the way she thought about a lot of things. Her kids, her husband, her parents, Levi, and much more. So much was running through her head in this moment that she almost forgot what she was doing and where she was going. She reached the door of Blake’s room, and she knocked. She was nervous and unsure what she would say. However, all she knew was that she needed answers amd to figure out things. She waited for him to open the door.

Martha walked down the hallway after doing the routine check ups of some of the rooms. Even though it was technically a camping trip it was still essential to have maids, especially with so many guests. She walked down and stopped at the celebrity Blake Palamo’s room. She wasn’t going to check his room since he wasn’t one of the guests who requested a maid, but she saw someone standing there and knocking on his door. Curiosity or nosiness always got the best of her so she went up to the person and smiled, knowing exactly who she was. “You must be Blake’s girlfriend.” Martha had seen the news article and heard about the love triangle situation but figured he was truly with her. She knew nothing about her being married. Martha knocked on the door, hoping to get the two lovebirds together. “Blake, your girlfriend’s here!” Martha was known for being a nosy person, so she didn’t think much of her actions. “He’ll be out honey.”

Helen sat on the edge of the bed, completely frozen, her mind racing even as her body felt heavy with disbelief. The weight of Dave’s words hung in the air, crushing her with an intensity she couldn’t quite comprehend. “Goodbye Helen, I’ll see you in California.” The finality in his voice echoed in her ears, mingling with the residual sting of his confession.

The anger that had fueled her argument melted away, replaced by a hollow ache in her chest. How could he assume their relationship? How could he walk away so easily, leaving her behind to wrestle with the chaos of it all, tears in his eyes?

She felt like a puppet with all the strings cut, left floundering on a stage she didn’t want to be on. The reality of their fake relationship—its flimsy foundation built on lies and pretense—sank in deeper, and she realized how little ever held them together. Perhaps it had all been just a performance, an act to please the outside world, masking the truth that they had both wanted something more, something real.

Helen barely registered Tommy sigh beside her, his presence a warm contrast to the chilly space that Dave’s absence had created. “Are you okay Helen?” he asked, his voice a soft, sweet, comforting lull that cleared some of the fog clouding her mind. It was an innocent question meant to elicit a simple response, but in that moment, she felt layers of emotions spill out of her like water from an overturned vase.

“No,” she whispered, choking on the word as if it were a bitter pill lodged in her throat. “No… I’m not okay.” The truth tumbled out, raw and unfiltered, a release valve for all the pent-up frustration, anger, and confusion she had suppressed in following the role she was forced to play. “I don’t even know what just happened.” She felt a warm rush of anger flare up again, this time directed at herself. How could she have played along so willingly, allowing a charade to cloud her feelings? But as she sat there, wrapped in her uncertainty, she knew she had to move through it, had to face the tangled threads of emotion that weaved between her and the world around her.

“If you want some space… I can go,” Helen watched Tommy as he spoke, his voice gentle yet hesitant, as if he was tiptoeing around her raw emotions. The offer for space lingered in the air, heavy and loaded with implication. She could feel his uncertainty mirrored in her own heart—the dance of wanting connection and fearing vulnerability was a complicated rhythm she was still trying to master.

She shook her head slowly, her emotions still in a tumble but craving the comfort of someone who understood—even if just a little. “No,— ” it was tumbling out before her ego had time to check the script. “Please don’t go,” she pleaded softly, the words slipping out again before she could second-guess herself. Helen needed someone to anchor her right now, and the thought of being alone felt like a plunge into cold water when she was already trembling at the edges… even as her cheeks heated… maybe it was a bad idea…

Tommy paused, brow furrowing as his phone buzzed again. He glanced down, confusion flickering across his features before he tucked the device back into his pocket. The moment felt suspended between them, a fleeting interruption that momentarily pulled him away from her. She watched him carefully, noticing how he seemed to wrestle with conflicting thoughts, wanting to offer her comfort but distracted by whatever had just captured his attention. “Is everything okay?” she asked, her voice a whisper, curious and slightly concerned. Helen felt an urge to reach out, to close the gap that had suddenly formed between them, but she held back. Instead, she watched as he processed whatever information was running through his mind. She hoped he would come back to her, that he wouldn’t let that distraction pull him too far away.

“It’s okay if you need to check it,” she said, trying to remain calm, though she could feel her heart racing in the silence. “Really, I don’t want to hold you back from something important.” She wondered if this was the universe giving her an out. She hoped it wasn’t.

“No, no, it’s okay,” Danny reassured him, his voice gentle. “I mean it. It’s important to talk about these things.” Danny thought back to his own parents and the sacrifices they’d made for him. The countless hours spent driving him to practices, the late-night homework sessions, the way they had pushed him to strive for his dreams, never letting anything discourage him. He appreciated everything they had done, but there was always an undercurrent of pressure—a fear of disappointing them, of not living up to their expectations. Regardless, he’d been lucky.

“I might not have understood what you went through at first, but I get it a little bit better now,” he admitted, shifting his posture to show he was fully engaged in their conversation. It felt liberating to share those thoughts, to build a bridge of understanding. For what seemed like the first time, Danny felt that he could step away from the expectations placed upon him, if only in small moments like this—to really listen and connect with someone.

“That sounds magical.” There was something about Kavi’s passion for storytelling that resonated deep within him, and he found himself leaning in, captivated. “Magical, huh?” Danny echoed. “I’ll have to write a ballad just for us. Something deep and soulful that captures the adventures of a … filmmaker and a pop star.”[/color] He leaned in slightly, lowering his voice as if sharing a secret. Tone sobering slightly. “I want to write something authentic, you know? And if you’re willing to trust me with your vision, I can promise to return the favor with my voice.”

“I don’t know if fireworks in a treehouse is a good idea but I’ll see what I can arrange on such short notice.” Danny’s eyes widened in flabbergastness, “you’re right, you’re right!” he laughed, “whatever’s next best!”

His eye’s widened in awe as Kavi nearly made it in. Danny hesitantly chuckled, shaking his head in mock disappointment at his own throw. “Looks like we’re off to a stellar start.” He couldn’t keep the teasing lightness from his voice, and Kavi’s ‘not’ laughter was infectious. The way Kavi barely stifled his own laughter, his shoulders shaking slightly, made Danny’s heart flutter with a mix of amusement and something more tender. “Okay, okay, practice shots aside,” Danny said, making a serious face that utterly clashed with the amusement dancing in his eyes. “Let me show you how it’s done.” He picked up another beanbag, squaring his shoulders and pretending to focus with exaggerated intensity, but there was a playful grin threatening to break through.

With a determined huff, Danny took his shot, releasing the beanbag with a flourish. It soared through the air and hit the board, a satisfying thunk filling the space. Danny spun around, hands on his hips triumphantly. “Almost in! A breeze could knock it in!” he squealed, exaggerating.
