It had already been weeks since her father’s awakening and… forgetting thing. What do people normally do when their father forgets them? Because, you know, everything about this was very normal. She very quickly realised that staying at home was not an option, after the police were threatened to be called on the ‘intruder’ on the first day. Suddenly Annie was ambiguously couch-hopping for weeks. Emphasis on ambiguous, because who needed to know the reason why? Only her.
That was until she was contacted by Paige about their recent revelations - because why else would she be talking to her - that Annie had dismissed since the thing. She told them that Anna, apparently the mother in this situation, wanted to see them. Normally, it would be fvck no, she didn’t care, she was fine how she was, no interest in extension of family trees. Though in the current circumstances, it maybe didn’t seem such a bad thing to have a parent actually want her, even if it’s just for surface-level conversation sh!t. But a weekend in London with just Paige? Yeah, that’s not happening.
So, Annie boarded with Ricky onto the private jet that Paige’s family owned. Which… was that her family too? Was that how this thing worked? Well family or not, Annie did not appreciate the sight she saw when she entered the section she had been directed to sit in. “I really don’t want to watch you fvcking for the next 10 hours so, keep it in your pants?” Though Annie’s disgust soon turned to surprise as Paige’s move of her head unveiled the person sat underneath. Unveiling, also, the link to the person who was stood behind her. “Oh sh!t… you’re–”
“You know there’s actually really high crime rates in England?” Annie quickly started, before giving time to reply, she started pushing Ricky away before he had the chance to walk into the area his… opponent was in. Towards the plane door, yeah, through there and straight out. “Yeah. Some bad bad people down under. You don’t want to go, I don’t think, actually. I think you’re good here, thanks anyway,” Annie had her eyes on the door - and so she had a direct view of them… fvcking closing. Annie sighed and lowered her arms, and grimaced at knowing what the plane had just shut in. “Okay, then. Viewer discretion advised, I guess,” Annie told an impatient Ricky walking ahead of her to see what she had tried to stop. “I didn’t plan this,” She quickly called at the last minute. Did it do anything to diffuse the reaction? Um, no.
While Ricky argued with clearly no luck to the flight attendant, Annie re-entered the section in which Paige and Raph sat. “So…” She started, with no attempt to distract from the awkwardness that was to come. “Maybe it is a good idea to be sat on hi- you know, so he’s block- out of view for, you see what I’m saying here?” She told the pair sat opposite her, before Ricky returned, as expected. “Did it go well, then?” Annie asked him, trying to hide a smile. It wasn’t funny. No, it definitely was not funny, very serious stuff.
“So flights to England… like an hour right? Like, an hour, two?” Annie asked, hopefully, breaking the painful silence that had entered as Ricky did. Maybe if she said it out loud it would come true. Though she was quickly corrected, and all were made blatantly aware of how long they were in this far too small space. “Ten? Ten. Okay, yeah, ten, cooool,” She said, looking around to avoid the sight in front of her.
