“Because that’s rude?” He rolled his eyes to the girl’s comment. “It’s a party, you don’t knock. Unless you are a noob.” He said with a little laugh while he eyes the different bottles on the shelf behind the marble bar. “Nice house.” Mikel shrugged at her compliment. It was too big, he hated it. It always was too clean, too put together. Everything except his own room at least and that made his mom upset. Anytime they were having people over she always made him go clean up his room, open the windows to let in light, and usually take down anything that would make people think he wasn’t a preppy boy. He hated when she would make him do this though, it’s not like they were going to go up to his room so why would it even matter.
He settled on a blue-tinted bottle and twisted off the cap, dropping it on the ground and taking a drink. He put his other hand on the collar of his shirt, his fingers feeling the stitching of it. He saw Ruby go to clean up his mess which caused him to scoff and mutter some unknown words to himself under his own breath. He rolled his eyes and walked over to the window, through a crowd of people. He didn’t care if he was interrupting their conversation and as he did so he heard a guy call him an ^sshole which made Mikel smile.
His phone vibrated in his pocket. He looked down at the pocket as he felt the sensation and was going to ignore it but he felt it was something he might need to check so he pulled it out and held it up, eye level, and very close to his face. He squinted his eyes as he read a message from Jez. He was slightly happy that she texted him but at the same time, it p^ssed him off and made his blood boil. He turned around to face no one in particular and held up his phone. “How cute, my little cheating cutie girlfriend texted me!” He said aloud and showed the phone to the closet person who had a puzzled look on their face. He took a large drink before setting the glass down on the side table next to the couch and started to reply.
Yuu Knoo Whare I am.
He sent the message back to her and looked at the screen for a few seconds before clenching his teeth and throwing the phone at the wall. He laughed as he did so. He didn’t know what else to do but laugh. The irony. Everyone in his life cheats in some way or another. His parents cheating on each other. His biological mom cheating the system and getting rid of him. Mikel always told himself he wouldn’t do such a thing but the roles just get reversed snd he believed he deserved it at this point. “Who wants to do shots?” He yelled and smiled as he quickly went back to the bar and a group of people started to surround him.
