“I just didn’t want your camera getting broken.” She said quietly when he asked her not to touch his stuff. Jezebel couldn’t bring herself to look at Mikel as he spoke. He could go find any gorgeous girl at that party and kiss her, sleep with her, anything. Jezebel would feel like she deserved it. No matter how drawn she was to Jordan, she still didn’t have a right to do that to Mikel. “We didn’t.” Was all she said. They hadn’t done anything more than what Mikel had seen, but Jezebel couldn’t necessarily deny the thought that if Mikel hadn’t shown up when he had, that it couldn’t have become more. That was the worst part, it easily could have been even worse of what she had done. “He didn’t.” Jezebel answered. She looked at him, clear tears in her eyes. Whether it was the guilt, her own mixed up feelings, or his words, she didn’t know. She honestly didn’t have any idea what to say, so she stayed quiet in response to most of what he said. “I care about you Mikel. I really do. That’s why I’m here, now.” If she didn’t care about Mikel, everything would have been so much easier, but she cared about him and she cared about Jordan. That made things complicated. “I never lied to you… but you still deserve better…” she said under her breath.
