”That’s really sweet of you”
He raised his eyebrows at the words, looking at Valerie with his head turning ever so slightly as if to display a slight essence of bewilderment. “Now don’t you go telling people. I don’t need you ruining my amazing reputation,” he stated with a laugh, nodding at the next statement of Jessica not needing anyone. She wasn’t wrong. Jessica was one of the most independent people he knew – but perhaps it was a two-way thing. Daniel needed Jessica too in a way… plus it would ease his own worry to be able to watch over her. A difficult feat as of recently as she lived in a different country – though the two talked every day if not visiting each other every few weeks. Though her questioning about what he did brought him out of his train of thought. Grabbing the bottle, Daniel took a large drink before putting it back down. “Let’s just say… she got into some trouble. And I got her out… but I also made sure that the person who got her into trouble wouldn’t be doing so again for a while,” Daniel stated quietly, leaning his head against the wall.
In this position, his eyes closed and leaning against the cold wall, Dan listened to her talk about Brian’s obsession. “What a creep,” Daniel mumbled, laughing as she talked about how he had called her ‘Belle’ more than once. “Wait,” Dan stated, looking back at her with one eye open. “You do know he’s dating that girl Bella Duran now right. Do you think it’s only so he can scream ‘Belle’ in bed without it seeming weird?”
As said conversation moved over to the famed Mario argument, he nodded. “Please do, I need that argument to live rent-free in my head,” Daniel laughed, moving his head back up to look at her – rolling his eyes as she burst out into a fit of laughter at his rise to fame in Canada. “I’ll have you know; they love me over there,” Dan stated, playfully kicking her from his side of the elevator.
”Very Certified genius of you”
“I try. Only three people at this school know of its existence – and when you wake up tomorrow, I’m hoping it’ll come back to two,” Dan smiled humorously as they moved onto the next topic of his impression. “I’ve been practicing, you never know when you will casually need a valley girl impression – it did make you laugh didn’t it? I’d say that’s a win in my book,” Daniel revealed, as he listed to her rumor about having a threesome with the headmaster and his wife. “Oh that mole definitely, without a doubt, needs its own bed with how big it is,” Daniel continued, “and I don’t even think the headmaster’s wife sleeps with him… actually I know she doesn’t. She’s been sleeping with Professor Grundy in the Art department for the last three years… don’t ask how I know that,” Daniel mumbled, shivering as he remembered the day he walked into the headmaster’s office and instead found the headmaster’s wife f*cking Professor Grundy WHILE the headmaster watched. Suffice to say, it was great leverage, but it left emotional and mental scarring. “ so… how can anyone think you would if even his wife wouldn’t? Though I’ll give it to you. You win,” Dan muttered, handing the girl the bottle back.
”Okay, hmmm, worst date?”
He listened to her response and frowned, shaking his head that any man would ever treat a woman like that. “Sounds like a jackass,” Daniel signed, scratching his head. “Remember Emily Makenzie I told you about earlier?” Dan questioned, “Remember when I said she was delusional and made herself think that we were dating? Well… she drugged me two weeks afterwards… before I hooked her up with that other guy, and I woke up naked in her room with rose petals all over the floor and the bed and she forced me to have a date with her in her room with her dolls… yes… we had a tea party with dolls… while I was butt naked. That was the date,” Daniel stated, shaking his head as he massaged his head. “That was probably the worst one… there was also that time where my date pretended to drop something and then started giving me a bl*wjob… the only problem was that the table was see-through and she wouldn’t listen…” Dan stated, taking the bottle and doing a long drink.
“Alright… this isn’t really a question for both of us. But are you okay?” Dan asked, “I heard you were crying earlier…” he stated. “Don’t ask how I know that but… was it Dom? I’ll beat the idiot up.” Dan muttered, still mad at the man for what he had done months earlier.
