Plopping another popcorn into his mouth, Daniel simply watched Jezebel Sloane with intrigue - seeing how she was responding to the big reveal. “So what were you saying before? Nothing I can do could make you feel any worse than you already do? So… How’d I do?” Daniel questioned, the room quiet as it was only the two of them left. His staff had sensed the hostility and left the four (now two) alone a few minutes earlier. Daniel raised his eyebrow as she spoke, lying about how she just wanted a friend. Though that part of him inside that had been eating up at him for the past few months only got stronger, Daniel simply pushed it right back down - where it continued to fester in private. “Boo hoo, Jezebel. Life sucks. You’ll get over it,” Daniel muttered, looking at his dog. “Scout, come,” Daniel stated - though the dog disregarded his words and stayed with Jezebel. “Arse,” The man muttered, looking back up at Jezebel. “… and how could I? Really Jez? Let’s be honest - you don’t know me anymore. And I certainly never knew you. Not from the moment you decided to be friends with me.” Daniel stated, looking at her for a second before getting up from his seat. “Do you want me to show you the door out. Or have you been here enough times to know where you’re headed? The car’s still outside running waiting for you. I told my driver you wouldn’t be long.” Daniel stated before holding his hand up.
“Actually one sec,” Dan mumbled - disappearing for a few moments before returning with a box full of things that were Jezebels’, or that Jezebel had gotten him over the years - all the way down to their 5th-grade friendship bracelets and photos of the two of them together. Daniel truly wanted nothing to remind himself of her anymore. “Take this with you,” Dan smiled, placing the box on the table before opening the door open. “Feel free to grab the popcorn too on your way out. After all… what an exciting little day we’ve had. See you… well… never again.”
