The day wasn’t easy, to say the least.
Looking back, if Kai didn’t interfere in her… quarrel, with Lily Ann, she’d probably find herself in a prison cell calling someone to bail her out.
And even so, she didn’t regret it, not even a tiny bit. She hated that woman with every fibre of her being, she deserved a lot worse than she got, but screw it. It’s irrelevant now.
Quite a while has passed since the funeral, but Valerie still didn’t go home, the day was sh!tty enough she couldn’t deal with her parents now as well. So she wandered around, most of her time she spent sitting by the lake, looking at the calm blue water with her AirPods in her ear playing full volume of the songs she loved.
To say the lease, Valerie was tired. Whether it was the tiring day in general or the fact that she didn’t get much sleep at night, either way, she was definitely lacking energy, so after a while she decided to get up and go get some coffee at the closest Starbucks.
Walking in, she went over to order, the place wasn’t too crowded but it wasn’t exactly empty either. Looking at the things they had she asked herself whether she wanted to get a blueberry muffin or not, as she remembered she hasn’t eaten pretty much anything in the last 24 hours, but she wasn’t feeling like it to so she just ordered a double espresso, a little something to wake her up.
As she took her coffee and turned around walking towards the seats to find a free spot, a certain person cought her attention as they seemed to be hiding. She looked closer and god knows it was pretty much the one person she didn’t want to see that day, Daniel Parker once again.
She was mad at him, but at the same time she wasn’t, her own mind was just too complicated for her to even understand in the first place.
She rolled her eyes subtly with a sigh and went over to him, god knows why. ”Is hiding at a Starbucks wearing sweatpants your go to activity after being an ass at funerals?” she asked raising a brow
”Do you even realize how much of a d!ck move that was? I mean go on, but at the funeral? Seriously?” she added trying to keep herself from getting any more mad or annoyed than she already was in the first place. By now she somewhat managed to calm herself down, she didn’t want to get mad again but it also wasn’t hard to get her to it.
