His mind was racing, as per usual, though this time for another reason. Daniel was trying to figure out all the ways this could go as she uttered the words “I think he’s handling himself quite alright”. Sure Daniel could just disagree with the statement and leave, find another excuse to make her stay and make his escape, or any of the other million plans forming in his mind. But something wouldn’t let him. It was as if his heart and mind weren’t speaking the same language anymore, and rather, it was simply whichever one was fighting harder that had control. What in the name of ‘inside out’ characters were happening in his head? Why weren’t they stopping him? Hell, he didn’t know - what he did was that after a few seconds, Daniel put his hand out, “Well then just try to keep up, Wood,” he stated, before leading her out the exit of the club - sending a text to Mikel about his disappearance as he did so.

Daniel couldn’t be reckless now. Sure, he had started the process already by bringing the girl with him. Though his mind still couldn’t fully understand why the hell he was doing what he was doing, he did know that he needed to make sure nothing happened past a friendly interaction. And no, he didn’t mean the far too friendly interaction they had earlier. So, as they finally reached the outskirts of the exit, leading back to the hotel where they could finally hear each other again, he let out a cheeky grin. “I wasn’t kidding when I said I had a plan to rob this casino blind,” Dan added, leading the girl to the lobby where the casino was. All around them the two saw high rollers gambling, spinning the slots, having their poker face for a long-winded game. Daniel immediately walked towards the cash box, showing the woman his fake ID and paying for far too many chips and sane person would think a teenage boy would have and handing half of it to the girl. “So Val,” He questioned, looking back over at her. Attempting not to have his eyes wander to her lips for the second time this evening, “How good is your poker face?” Sure, poker wasn’t the game Daniel was planning on sweeping clean tonight. Nor blackjack. No, Daniel’s hand was in electronic games. But that didn’t mean they couldn’t lose some before they won.
