Aline Ribeiro
“I said what I said.” She rolled her eyes, laughing. “Damn so fvck the teachers but at the same time they’re right? Mixed signals, Gio.” She raised her eyebrows at him, a laughing smile playing on her lips. “Well okay but I’m still gonna be late to things so fvck my teachers and fvck you too I guess.” She snorted, but grabbed hold of his arm, leaning in to give him a hug from the side. “Just kidding, love youuu.”
“The languager” As Gio moved his hand in that flourishing gesture as if he were introducing her or something, she did a curtsy, holding her large imaginary skirts and dipping downwards with a giggle. “Yes thanks, that is my new name,” she said, smiling. “Basically a celebrity.” Aline glanced at him with a grin. “Totally a celebrity. Makes sense as you definitely can’t spell celebrity without Aline so.”
“I’ll try my best.” She nodded, a faint smile appearing in on her lips. “Okay okay.” That was pretty much all she could ask for, as he didn’t even know what the situation was. This would hurt things between her and Lui for a bit, but he’d get over it and see that she did the best thing for their relationship. Not telling Gio would be worse, as it could ruin things between them completely. Obviously, the majority of her loyalty still went to Lui, but since he was being epically stupid and Gio deserved the truth, she was on his side in this situation. “I trust you, probably won’t be mad. Depends what you do.” Her face twisted, and she shook her head. “I mean… I don’t know exactly what to expect so maybe I’m gonna get in a fight, who knows.” Aline shrugged casually, meaning the words. “But it’d be for your honour for sure so you can’t be mad.”
“Sounds great let’s go.” She nodded and followed him to his car, slipping into the passenger seat. And then they were off, towards the cafe. Her fingers drummed anxiously against her thigh. She didn’t regret the decision, per se, but it did make her feel nervous to be approaching the cafe.
