Day 2 Because the first one was so long I needed to split
Jess has avoided Dorian for most of the day… actually, she had done pretty well to avoid almost everyone who hated her. Though that was mostly because she spent the day locked in her tent reading a book while the teachers ushed the kids out to go find different plants and learn about them. Yeah, she wasn’t feeling that. So instead, she stayed in her tent - only coming out around 2 am as she usually did and walking around the woods until 5 when the sun came back up and she had wandered back to the falls for the second time - enjoying the water with the sun - her mind reminiscing all the memories she had made there. She still hadn’t read the letter… for some reason she couldn’t. Perhaps because of the promise she made little Dorian that they’d read them to each other. Maybe it was because she didn’t want to open that can of worms. But she came back around 8 when people were starting to split off into groups, joining in on the team building - which usually involved messing with Riker which was always fun. Though around 9, Jess made her way to the campfire - mostly because b*tch was hungry and wanted some smores. But little did she know a game was underway. Taking a seat next to Riker and Mady, Jess took a pre-emptive shot as she listened around - laughing and avoiding all eye contact with the DeLoughreys. Especially with Elodie’s answer to the first question about why they weren’t friends… Jessica hadn’t said anything as Elodie revealed what had happened when she was 13. Dorian hadn’t known that… technically no one had known that. Didn’t matter if it was true or not. To Elo’s knowledge, it was - and that’s something Jess would stand by - though taking a shot after Elo had answered it.
Though things lightened up at Andy’s dare as he took his shirt off, Jessica whistling almost immediately as he did that and put her hand up in a sign to wait - running back to her tent to grab the envelope of fifty one dollar bills her past self had left her for a strip club. Didn’t know it would be useful this quickly. Returning, Jess grabbed about twenty of the dollars and threw them towards Andy and Ketziah, whistling again before taking her seat. “You’d get more if you took the pants off,” she joked.
Though her own dare wasn’t any better - Theo locking eyes with her as he answered his own question of why he believed Anna broke up with him. And then, turning towards her and asking her to tell everyone the real reason Anna broke up with him. A soft sigh left her lips as she put her hand out to the Vodka bottle Riker had next to his leg when he had started drinking earlier. Putting the bottle up as a sign of cheers, Jess turned it over and took a long chug. Honestly - if they were in some sort of pandemic or something - this sharing of bottles would probably give them all some sort of virus. But good thing they weren’t. Soon she placed the bottle down - not meeting Theo’s eyes - as she turned towards Kara. The text she received about her voice mail… let’s just say curiosity overtook her as she asked Kara, one of her friends that… rightfully hated her guts, what happened to a voicemail she had left Dorian. Her eyes widening and understanding overtaking her body as she realized what had happened. So Dorian hadn’t heard the voice mail… well… it didn’t matter now. Though… then why did her heart hurt ever-so-slightly hearing that? Maybe part of her had hoped Dori had heard the voicemail. So as the game continued, Jordan serenading Mikel, Jess smiled towards Maddy before laying her head on her lap. “Hey love, how’s it going?” she asked. She had realized the girl was back yesterday and the two talked briefly. “Psst do you have any smores?” she smiled.
