Luckily someone held Andy back and stopped the fight Dorian started. He didn’t mind getting punched once or twice, but right now he had better things to do, someone to find. The moment Jessica left he wanted to go after her, explain why he did what he did, why he lied… even if he didn’t know what exactly to say. I didn’t know what to do? No, that was a lame excuse but what else was he supposed to say. That was the truth after all.
After so many years he found himself going down the path that lead to the waterfall. He has been here with his family over the years but he never went back to that place. He wanted to, whenever he could find a chance to get away for bit, when his family wouldn’t notice him missing but it felt wrong. And as he reached the place he immediately spotted Jessica, down on the ground. Just like he thought he would find her. Looking up at the sky, Dorian stayed quiet for a moment, not thinking about anything. He tried to come up with the right words to say but nothing came to him, there was nothing he could say to make it right when he lied about it.
“I didn’t know what to do…” Dorian finally spoke up, slowly looking back at her but staying where he was. ”I thought you didn’t remember that because you obviously never reached out and then you showed up again… And. I still don’t know what to do,” he added, just staring at her, waiting for her to get up or just say something. There was another moment of silence when his mind was filled with thoughts. He finally started talking about something he wanted to for a long time so now there were so many other things he wanted to mention, explain, know… but he wasn’t looking for a fight. Not this time.
That’s was when she finally got up and looked at him with clear hurt in her eyes, when he just let her say everything she wanted to.
”I don’t need you coming after me because it’s obvious you don’t care.”
Looking up from the bottle she was holding, he slightly furrowed his brows, finally giving her some kind of reaction after so many words. “I don’t? Like I didn’t just a few nights ago when you were wasted? Or let me guess… you don’t remember that, just like you don’t remember kissing me back at that party? So stop with the “you lied, I never lied to you” act because you obviously did,” taking a step towards her, he took the bottle from her and threw it to the side, letting it break. “Maybe the guy you knew isn’t me but if I didn’t care I wouldn’t be here, wasting my time.”
