Maybe if she had been less upset by the man’s presence, she would have seen through the lie. But she was slightly tipsy - even if the man had thrown her drink away - and she just missed it. She didn’t really know what to think at that. She was on birth control so it wasn’t a big big deal but still. Though an involuntary sigh of relief left her lips when he continued with the fact that they hadn’t slept together. She wasn’t sure if she was happy about that or not - but she did feel relief.
Though the next statement… that may have been a mistake. It was a spur of the moment response. She hadn’t expect to tell him she still loved him. Hell she didn’t even know… or she thought she didn’t know. Maybe her heart knew and her head had been telling her heart to shut the fck up. Either way, she said it and realized the mistake almost instantly when he uttered “You what?”

“That’s not what…” Jess started - but before she could say anything, he had stepped forward and done something she never expected.
She felt his lips on hers and for a second, melted into it. She couldn’t help how her body reacted against him. The feeling hadn’t dissipated from when she was 15, the butterflies in her stomach. The idea that it felt right to be with him. But then the realization of what just happened set in sooner than she would have liked. She was kissing Dorian DeLoughrey – her sisters’ ex-boyfriend and she couldn’t… couldn’t hurt her sister like that again. She couldn’t sleep with someone who had slept with her sister, so she pushed him away and slapped him almost immediately – the stinging on her hand aching as she looked at him with hurt eyes. “What the f*ck Dorian,” Jess mumbled, the confusion clear in her voice. “I can’t… I can’t do that. We can’t do that. You dated Anna, I’m…” Jess started but she couldn’t finish the sentence. So, she didn’t. Instead – Jessica started simply walking away. The intent to leave and never come back, avoid Dorian at all costs, but her ears heard another sentiment from the man. “I didn’t… it wasn’t real… I just… I wanted to hurt you but it was a mistake”
Jessica froze for a second – hearing the words. Part of her wanted to keep walking away. To not turn back and face the man but she couldn’t exactly help what she did next. Turning around, Jessica walked back towards Dorian with an air of purpose, pulling his lips against hers the moment she reached him almost as if she’d fall apart without it. Without his touch. In that moment, she finally felt… whole – even momentarily. As she found the intoxicating feeling of his lips on hers again, Jessica found herself in a bubble that she wasn’t willing to pop. And intoxicating only begin to explain how she felt. Wrapping her legs against his waist as she pulled him closer – if it was even possible to do so without removing each other’s clothes - moaning against his mouth as her hands wrapped around his shoulders. Her mind went back to the dream she had a few nights ago – but she brought herself out of it, coming back into the moment as her lips moved from his lips to his collarbone. “Dori,” she whimpered – her hands finally moving under his shirt – pulling it off and throwing it to the side.
Usually, she’d make a joke right about now. Maybe something about the birth control incident. But some part of her didn’t want to break the bubble the two of them had found themselves in. One where the past didn’t matter, everything that happened between them was irrelevant. All that did was the two of them in the moment. So, she stayed quiet… well mostly. The moans kept escaping her mouth and soon the two of them were both shirtless. “Dorian,” she whispered into his ear, “I want you,”
With those words, Jess jumped off of his waist – staring at him with lust-filled eyes as she unbuttoned her pants and pulled them off – rendering her completely naked. She let his eyes trail down her body for a moment before turning around and walking into the warm water – filled with the sound of the waterfall. Once she was far enough, where she could still stand in the water – Jess submerged her head before bobbing back up and looking at him. “So… are you going to join me or just watch?” She grinned, running her hands through her hair as waited to see what he would do.
