Akielah nodded as her cousin spoke. “Precisely. I’m 14 years old today, and I’m so much more capable than most of your class, and the idiots in my school. You would think being at the best private school in New York, they’d actually be better than the average.” Akielah sighed. “Its not like he can even have his go to comfort food, because the only pizza he eats is from her family’s restaurant. I don’t care what, but there’s gotta be something that will make him feel better, preferably by the time I get back home.” Akielah looked down at the cake in front of her, knowing she had it all over her face which only made her seem more like a kid, as Valerie pointed out how she kind of still is a kid. “Doesn’t mean I want to be treated like a baby. Soon enough, soon enough. For now I guess checking out what people use some very insecure cafe wifi for will have to suffice for birthday entertainment.”
