"That’s what I’ve tried telling myself for as long as I can remember Jordan, but I don’t think I can believe it anymore.”

Jordan’s heart was breaking at her words. He himself had never had a good relationship with his father. Up until the day he died; Jordan didn’t really have an immediate family. The closest… hell the only thing he had was Yara Keller and her mother. But Jezebel - he didn’t want that for her. He never did. Perhaps defending her was reflecting his own hope that she’d have a better family life than he did. But in an ironic way; part of why they were close was that they could bond over their similarity in family issues. Despite this… Jordan didn’t want to be the reason that she hated her mother more. He couldn’t do that… to her. His intentions with the money didn’t matter; he took the money.

So as he listened to her words; Jordan stayed silent. Absolute in his mind what he would do… perhaps… he felt it wavering as she spoke. “I wasn’t ever good enough for you… she was right Jezebel…” Jordan sighed as she said the first part of that statement. He loved her… but if you love something, let it go. “Hey… look at me…” Jordan sighed, walking towards her and leaning his head on her forehead. “You’re wanted. I want you. Dan wants you. Hell; anyone whose life you walk into want’s you because despite what you say, Jezebel. you are light in the darkness. Your mom has no right to say that because you are one of the most amazing girls I have ever met,” he sighed; closing his eyes in the feeling of being in her presence. He listened as she continued - telling him she couldn’t hate him. “You’re right… I should have…” he sighed, “… but I didn’t.” he mumbled, moving away from her. “You deserve better than me Jezebel… you always have,” he stated - looking at her one last time in the eye; before turning around and doing something he never thought he’d do again. Walk away from her. Perhaps it was almost harder this time…
