Reina Katherine Monroe

Reina was struggling with wearing her contacts that day. Like always, she was constantly rubbing her uncomfortable eyes because of them, but she wasn’t wearing her glasses, and she had to be able to see Sadie while she was on the runway. Though, between her constant eye rubbing, and the sprinklers, she lost one contact, which made it only more difficult for her. That’s how she ended up stumbling and running into Daniel from behind. She didn’t even know it was him until he turned around and started to speak. “I’m sorry…” She managed to squeak out before he began to yell to the crowd. Alright, with the deal with her glasses, she knew she was probably being overly insecure and over dramatic about hiding it, but she had been hurt too much and as a kid, that was the first thing she was picked on for. She just didn’t want anything to add to the chance of being the person laughed at again. Though, then he whispered to her, mentioning what would ruin her life. “What did I ever do to you?” She looked to her phone when everyone revived the same text, and then people began to look her way. With her ex boyfriend, there was a reason she would do anything with him but actual sex. Her hands, mouth, tongue, anything, anywhere to please him, but she couldn’t let him do anything more than kiss her lips and neck. When she finally was going to do more in a moment of weakness, he found out what she was hiding, and told her entire student body at her old school. Who wanted to date or be friends with, or even be associated with, the girl who wasn’t fully a girl. Not accepted with the girls, or the guys, only Sadie. Junior year was hell for Reina. She wouldn’t have made it through another year in that place. Coming to Cerulean high was the only thing to help her through, because nobody knew. She could stay in the background and nobody would look at her like a freak anymore, but that was gone with Daniel’s text. She looked up from her phone to see Daniel walking away. She just wanted to run, distance herself from everyone there, but first she called out to him using the small sliver of courage she had while he was still in earshot. “Maybe if you weren’t such an egotistical a**, Daniel, you’d think about what it’s like to have everyone bully you and think of you as a freak, because of nothing you can control.” With that, she turned to walk away from the crowd to go home. It didn’t matter if Sadie was with her, and that she had to talk to her about what Daniel wrote about her and the family’s money, to get away.
