There was a small pause from Dorian when Delilah took his hand. It may have been less than a second, easily missable, but she noticed it. And she chose to disclose that she’d noticed it. “What, not something that even the Dorian DeLoughrey didn’t plan for?” She asked with the same subtle eyebrow raise he gave and a small smile, knowing that he must choreograph every conversation with cheerleaders, or pretty much any girl, because how else would he be able to sleep with them?

The back row had been dedicated to the Cerulean High students. Though she would usually protest about this, on this particular day and in this particular mood Delilah was alright to comply this time. As they were about to sit down, Dorian said something that made her stop and turn back to him. Sure, Delilah Hawthorne received compliments, perhaps too many than what she deserved. But all of them were dismissed by her as they all had some form of intent behind them, which was something she could detect a mile off. Though it wasn’t something she got when he complimented her. “Thank you…” Delilah said while looking straight ahead with furrowed brows, away from him.

Dorian continued, with a proposal that she stayed here while he left to walk around. This time a second intention was detected immediately, to which she smiled to herself. “Yeah, that works for me,” Delilah agreed with a shrug, taking a seat before looking back up at him, rather ambiguous as to whether or not she actually wanted to stay here. If this was his attempt to ask her to join, he would certainly be walking alone. As well as that, Delilah was still expecting a call from the county jail, and she knew an explanation would be asked for if they were alone when it came.
