As the girl hugged him, Andy’s mind went on thinking, about the past, the unknown future… and honestly , he was kind of scared of what could be about to come. Andy had never been one to be afraid of the upcoming unknown, but this… this was a whole new territory he knew nothing about, pretty much everything was in the dark. Was he going to be a good father? A good husband? How long did he even have to be a husband? what about his career? What about his friends?
But frankly, Andy wasn’t as scared of losing Jessica as he was before. The two have been through so much together and overcame everything with a Mcnugget sharebox for each one in their hand while doing everything. They’ve overcomed distance, fights, divorce… dammit, even death. And even through all this, they still managed to be there with and for each other with a celebratory ring pop for every occasion. At this point, Jess wasn’t just his best friend anymore, this is some ride of die thing going on here. It wasn’t a friendship, it was family.
She then suggested a deal, first drink she can have they’re having together ”Is that even a question?” he raised his brow ”I’ll scrap your wasted ass off the floor if I need to” he laughed
“You know Andy; I love you,”
”Right back at you awesome ex wife” he smirked, and honestly, it made him feel good.
”Not as fancy, but I can guarantee this ring tastes better than ziah’s” he joked, tho it wasn’t actually wrong, don’t try to eat jewellery at home kids.
“Hey…!I didn’t say this before but 1. I’m really proud of you Andy… and god I’m so happy for you, …and 2. I think I have a right to say this since I went to the afterlife and back. But Andy McAllister. Your dad would be so proud of you right now. Trust me… he told me when I visited,”
Andy looked at her as she told him how proud and happy she was for him, and her words brought a light smile to his face. ”My dad…?” he asked, partially confused. Could she really have talked to his dad? Did Andy even believe in the afterlife? What if we all die and just stop existing, and talking to his dad was just a hallucination or a dream she had. But… it was still him, even if it was a dream. ”I- thanks nugget” he told her with a soft smile
