Slamming the bathroom stall door behind her and throwing her bag down on the ground, she took the paper out of her pocket and sat down on the toilet lid. At this point she could feel tears rolling down her cheeks as she looked at the scrunched up paper, not wanting to read what’s on it. Even if she wanted it to be like that, this wasn’t one of those things you could ignore hoping it would just go away.
Ignoring her phone buzzing, notifying her she received a message, she rested her elbows on her knees slowly opening the paper, feeling her vision getting blurrier by every second. But that was him, it was her father, it was his picture he never uses so there was no way someone could have it and photoshop this whole thing. It was real.
Resting her forehead in the palm of her hands, she completely let herself cry as quietly as possible, dropping the paper down on the floor. She didn’t want anyone to hear her, she didn’t want anyone asking her what’s wrong because what was she supposed to say? She couldn’t lie and she couldn’t say it was nothing, it obviously wasn’t nothing but how good would it actually be to have someone there with her. She felt hopeless but she couldn’t tell anyone about, especially not Dorian even she needed him the most now.
For 10 minutes she was inside that stall just crying on her own until she heard her name, recognising that voice immediately. Straightening up and wiping the tears off her cheeks, she just listened confused with what was happening. It took her a while to react to it as she was obviously not alright, but she did. Picking up her bag and throwing the paper in it, making sure she doesn’t lose it, she got out heading straight to the sink to wash her hands and look at herself in the mirror. And she looked awful. Taking a tissue, she tried to wipe the mascara that was smeared all over her cheeks and calm herself down. This was not the best moment for Daniel to do whatever he was planning, she didn’t want to face anyone right now but knowing him she couldn’t just ignore that. Even if her eyes were puffy, she left the bathroom making sure to keep her head down and go to the football field as quickly as possible, ignoring everyone around her.
“What the-” Arriving, the first thing she could see was a helicopter. In the middle of the football field. Crossing her arms, for a moment she forgot about her little problem as she looked between the helicopter and Daniel in confusion. “Are you insane?” She yelled across the field, still standing in front of the door shocked but not surprised.
