“My past, well that’s a lot, but to keep it simple, I’m just a girl who shouldn’t even be here." He listened to her talk and felt bad for what she was saying but at the same time, he completely understood. “I’ve been raised as much by my grandparents as by my mom, but they’re always working and my mom’s usually off traveling,” What she was saying was basically what he had gone through also. Aside from the grandparent’s thing because his grandfather lives so far away and he really only went there when his parents needed to send him away because he was too much for them. Either way, he understood being left with someone when your parents were off having a good time because it was usually the nanny they hired for him. “Jezebel it’s almost like you are telling me a biography of my own life. How did I not know all of this about you?” He wondered aloud. They have been going to school for a while now and with how the school works he was surprised he didn’t know how much they had in common. "Screwed up family life and no clue what to do with my life beyond this year.” Mikel laughed and nodded to this. "Hit it right on the needle, " He has been through enough in his life that he was ready to start over after this year. Move far away and do things he enjoys instead of doing things for the sake of others. “Yeah, no matter what I decide to do next year will let someone down. Either myself or my father.” He sighed a bit before pulling out his camera again.
"Unfortunate, sorry you’ve had to go through all that though, but I think I read somewhere that stories with happy endings are stories that haven’t been finished yet, so that’s something to think about.” He stood up and walked a bit before putting the lens up to his eye and smiled as he did so. “Don’t move.” He told her and took a few snapshots. As he walked back to her he scrolled through them and even though they were just taken and very raw images. No filter, no brightening, or anything to enhance the colors he still loved it. “Check this out…You know every time I take a picture of you, it becomes my favorite.” He handed the camera over to her a little hesitantly but with a toothy grin. “In my opinion, some things are more beautiful when they’ve been broken.”
