Tala chuckled as Kara patted her own shoulder, “I try, I try.” she said. Tala stood up straight again, grabbing her leather jacket with her other hand as she let the other hang and relax. She looked at the bag. Though Kara already told her what it was that’s inside it, she was still eager to see it for herself. “Can I put my jacket on your bag? My arm’s getting sore; this jacket’s been with me ever since I came in. Oh, and do you want to grab something we can eat?”

“Interesting. Do you have any hobbies that you do around the school? Any friend groups?” Kara asked. Finally, they were starting to know each other. That’s what Tala wants—to get to know each person in Cerulean High as much as she can. From what she noticed of Kara’s personality, of the “her” she warned her about, to the liberated people around her, her interest was so piqued that she wants to know what more was there.

“I don’t have any hobbies to do in school, but if there are some kind of clubs, I’ll definitely join one.” Tala answered, excitement filling her voice as they tackled hobbies. “As for friend groups… I’m not really fond of them. I prefer a small number.”

If I join the festivities.” She quickly interrupted, before he continued, still persisting with the uncertainty of whether or not she would be of attendance, despite his threat. Although she knew Daniel was equipped with the secrets of every Cerulean High student,e locked away inside a folder in his brain, Delilah couldn’t help but feel as though that rule didn’t apply to her. She found it impossible that he could have anything on her, and she wouldn’t be afraid to test that theory, either. But perhaps that theory could be tested in a later date.

Delilah assumed when he looked down at his watch, it was to book the said-driver. However, she began to think otherwise as he continued to use it for way longer than it took to book a driver, and Delilah would know how long it took from the numerous occasions she did it. “Anything mind-blowing?” Delilah asked him nonchalantly with a brow raised, which really translated to ‘was it really more interesting than talking to me?’. Because she knew, of course, it couldn’t possibly be.

She knew what Daniel was doing as soon as he started talking, and, once again, she rolled her eyes at him, knowing it was definitely more effective- and certainly more true- when it came from Delilah. “And yet… I am certain I wouldn’t have to ask you to add in another plan,” Delilah replied back instantly, convinced that what she was saying were true.

Kara looked over at her bag that was in the chair. “Yeah, sure.” I have to stop being so weird, she probably won’t even know. She pushed the chair closer to them.

“You don’t have any hobbies in school? School would definitely be way more boring.” Kara said, even though she barely had any hobbies herself.

“As for friend groups… I’m not really fond of them. I prefer a small number.”

“Yeah, I prefer small friend groups too.” She definitely preferred big friend groups, but she didn’t want to make herself look weird since she had a small one for now.

“Oh, and do you want to grab something we can eat?” She realized that she had only eaten a few saltine crackers and bitter cranberry juice. " Yeah, let’s go." She grabbed the bag and carried Tala’s jacket with her. They ended up by the food table. Let’s see, what should I get. She thought while looking at the small foods.

“Yeah, sure.” Kara answered to her offer. Tala smiled widely, walking over to Kara’s bag. Pausing for a second, she looked up at the girl, opening the bag and quickly slipping her jacket there. “I hope it’s okay if I did that. I can’t afford to lose it.” she chuckled.

Standing back up, Tala smiled as Kara said, “You don’t have any hobbies in school? School would definitely be way more boring.” Tala laughed. “Yeah, I prefer small friend groups too.”

“Oh, really? Well, we finally have something to agree on with each other.” Tala said, looking over at the food table.

“Yeah, let’s go.” Kara said as response to Tala invited her to eat. Tala nodded, walking with Kara towards the food table. Tala was quick to get herself another meaty snack. I swear this is the last one, Dad, she thought as she took a bite of it. It wasn’t often that she gets to eat meats, and eating two of them wouldn’t really hurt; anyway, she’s quick to return to her diet.

“So what are your hobbies?” Tala asked as she faced Kara, who was still picking her own food.

Calen James Hunter

Calen was glad to have dropped in the fact that his father was in big movies, it seemed to have stuck with Dorian, which exactly was the effect he wanted it to have. Perhaps Dorian was like Calen, in the way that he also wanted to make friends with those who have or are connected to excellent social status. That would mean their friendship would be beneficial to both of them. “Your sister is in the senior year too?” He asked when he brought up a sibling – though it sounded more like an observation than a query.

If he wanted to think about people’s motivation for Blue Royalty, Calen could guess that having a sibling competing for it at the same time would give Dorian somewhat of motivation. Even if he wasn’t interested in Blue Royalty in the slightest, surely any siblings would make it their own competition between each other. So now Calen could make a guess of his motivation, he figured he should probably take Dorian seriously as a competitor.

From Dorian’s reaction, clearly Calen’s flattering had worked perfectly, which could be a sign he was on Dorian’s good side for now. He waited eagerly on Dorian’s reply concerning tryouts, and when it came, it brought him great joy. Calen got all the information needed, that the sport was soccer, and the tryouts were at the end of the month. He had absolutely no clue about anything to do with soccer, but Dorian was unknowingly giving him this time to learn everything about it. “Yeah, I love soccer. I’ll definitely be at the tryouts.” Calen replied, laughing slightly at Dorian’s switch in tone from nonchalant to serious when talking about the sport.

Dorian asked him if he knew anyone else, and that question made Calen realise he had already forgotten most of the names of the people he had met over the course of the night. “I know Mikel, yeah, pretty well,” He responded, assuming Dorian knew who he was. “And I’ve met a few people tonight, too. Natalia?” He added, mentioning the only name he was sure about.

Rolling his eyes at her adamant ‘if’s’ he didn’t press the matter. They both knew she would be there and it wasn’t worth his effort to get an ‘of course I’ll go’ out of her for the simple reason that it would never happen. This was Delilah Hawthorne - a girl who always liked to keep up her walls and Daniel couldn’t blame her for that. Though, he was also Daniel Parker - meaning knew exactly how to find the back door to these ‘walls of secrets’ with two clicks of his keyboard.

“Anything mind-blowing?”

He laughed slightly at the question, “Quite a few things actually - though, they’re a little above your clearance level.” he stated as he looked back up to her. Daniel Parker, after all, wasn’t feared for no reason. Sure he was a goofy dork when he wanted to be - but he also wasn’t one to be messed with - and one of those reasons was the constant flow of information going through his various devices. Within only the past hour he hadn’t checked his phone, he had gained intel on, at the very least, 15 students in his near vicinity, 5 high-security officials around the world, and even some dirt on the Prince of Greece… people really needed to stop sending nude snap chats to each other. Oh how easily it was hacked. Not to mention, “Snapchat” itself kept records despite their “send it and it disappears” motto.

“And yet… I am certain I wouldn’t have to ask you to add in another plan”

Daniel couldn’t help his growing smile at the words. Sure, Daniel could easily walk away from the conversation to prove the girl wrong, though, he simply didn’t want to. He was intrigued by the proposition she had offered. “But how certain are you?” he simply questioned. “So, tell me a little more about this after-party, Delilah.”

Before going to the table

She saw Tala slip her jacket in the bag. “I hope it’s okay if I did that. I can’t afford to lose it.”
“Yeah, it’s fine. Just don’t be mad if I steal it.” There was a short pause and then she slapped her shoulder. “Aww, I’m just messing with you.”

“Oh, really? Well, we finally have something to agree on with each other.”
“We…sure do…” Kara said while thinking about how she wanted a bigger friend group.

After going to the table
“So what are your hobbies?” Kara didn’t know what to say. She wasnt in any school programs -which she realized she criticised Tala for - and she didn’t have any extraordinary hobbies." My brain Is kinda foggy but I do want to be an event planner one day." She said while picking at her nails. “So, How do you feel about your tasks?” She asked.

“Yeah, it’s fine. Just don’t be mad if I steal it.” Tala’s forehead creased for a slight matter of seconds, taken aback at what she heard Kara said. She laughed, thinking it was only a jest. Kara slapped her shoulder, “Aww, I’m just messing with you.”

Kara seemed to be hesitating when Tala mentioned that they did have something to agree on, so she wondered what that meant. Nonetheless, Tala only ignored it and smiled at the girl.

When Tala and Kara reached the food table, she asked her about her hobbies as she ate. “My brain is kinda foggy but I do want to be an event planner one day.” Kara said, picking at her nails. “So, how do you feel about your tasks?”

Tala dusted off her hands as she finished up her food. She looked at the plate of foods once more, but restrained herself to pickone again. If there should be one thing she should eat, it should be vegetables. Tala shifted her eyes again at Kara, her hands on her waist. "My tasks are… well, they’re fine. " she answered with her shoulders lifted. “How about you? Have finished yours?”

Maverick nodded along as he listened to Dominic’s response. He was then surprised by suddenly having a girl jump on his back. Luckily he had something to brace himself against as his injured leg threatened to give out beneath him from the sudden force. Right away Maverick saw that it was Candice. He turned to look at her with a slight smile. He knew that her and Dominic were once a thing, so the fact that he had been talking to Dominic when she came over wasn’t the most ideal situation. He listened as she tried to be polite to Dominic then asked about his motorcycle. He chuckled slightly at her request followed by the puppy dog eyes that Maverick was helpless against. Maverick took a slight glance to the drink in his hand, knowing that despite having just a mere couple of sips, he was not suited to drive at all. He was hardly in a decent enough mental state to drive to the party in the first place, yet that didn’t keep him from driving there anyway. Maverick pulled the keys out of his pocket and passed her the keys. “Only cause its you Candice, no questions asked.” Maverick had gotten the motorcycle when he turned eighteen during their Junior year, but even in that time it became clear that it was his preferred transportation method. The only times he hadn’t driven it, was in the time he physically couldn’t with his leg, and when he’s had to drive his sisters somewhere, so he wouldn’t let just anyone borrow the keys. Candice, with her puppy dog eyes, was the one that he would let take the keys.

A wave of annoyance passed through Delilah when Daniel told her it was above her clearance level. But instead of expressing that, she merely laughed. The things she could do with even a fraction of the information he knew would be unimaginable, but Delilah knew that he would never tell her anything. But still, part of her thought that if she were to get very close to him she could get the information out of him. Or, at least, find or have access to parts of it. Despite both scenarios being highly unlikely, she was still choosing to go down that path as Delilah knew it could be beneficial to at least attempt.

He asked her to expand on her proposition, and a satisfied smile grew on her face as Daniel failed to attempt hiding the intrigue that Delilah had hoped he would feel. “I’ll put it this way, I’m going to be leaving after this to a currently parental-free house…” She explained, knowing her parents were out of the house. Delilah spun around, making eye contact with the people around her that had been looking her direction. “…And I probably won’t be alone. But I thought you could be the first to know before I found anyone else.” Delilah continued, knowing that it would take only few words and a smile for any guy to follow her around for the night.

“I’ll be by the exit when the party’s over,” Delilah told him, and then she walked away, to give him the time to make the decision he had almost certainly already made. When she was out of his sight, Delilah wandered back to the bar and took a seat.

Out of everything he could’ve said, he had to bring her up. That was not the conversation he wanted to have. “Yes, she is…” he mumbled with a sigh, running his hand through his hair. At that moment he probably sounded annoyed or even mad because he kept a serious expression on, but that was not the case. Being protective, just at the mentioning of her, was the only way he knew about. Especially in front of someone they both didn’t know. "We are twins so it’s easy to recognise her.” Or maybe he was? They both wanted to win this and she always had to get everything she puts her mind on so it won’t be easy for him. There was never a competition between them, he would always put her happiness over his but this time that won’t happen. It’s gonna be a fair game. “She is serious about this so watch out,” he quietly added through a chuckle, bringing the glass up to his lips.

From his point fo view, Calen did seem interested in joining the team which brought Dorian joy. He always loved seeing someone being optimistic about it, he takes notice of that, and sometimes that could help that person when the decisions should be made. “Great. Good luck then.” He enthusiastically replied with a playfully smile on. “It would be nice to have a new student on the team,” and difficult. Not knowing what kind of person someone really is could mess up the peace they had but he would personally risk it.

“Yeah, I know him,” he nodded once Calen mentioned Mikel. They were closer friends even if they didn’t have much in common and looked at things differently but because of that he didn’t really know other people Mikel was hanging out with. “And finally you met the most important person,” saying it in a joking way, he pointed at himself, laughing lightly.

”but its hard to say when I just met you.” “Well I suppose we will have to keep getting to know each other then.” He said to her with a raised brow and a friendly smile. Mikel had a lot of friends, very few people he didn’t like and he was open to getting to know everyone. I nodded to her saying things about being an anti-hero and maybe she had a point there. I didn’t feel very special by any means though so I think I would just be a bystander. “Yeah sure. I’m cool with it, as long as you let me see the picture. Since you aren’t a serial killer or planning to fall asleep with a picture of me.” He laughed a bit at her comments about what he had said. “Right, okay just no posing. I don’t like fakey posed stuff.” He moved to turn the camera on and adjust the settings to the fit the lighting they were in. “Just natural is better.” He added and brought it up to his face to capture a few images. He would show her them, he always did but he did get annoyed when some people were asking to retake them or had too many demands.

Calen was surprised and felt as though his theory was proven by Dorian’s reaction to his question. It had been only a simple question, the only reason he could find for the reaction would be that they were in competition with each other over Blue Royalty. Further helping his point was Dorian stating how she was serious. Did that mean he was, or at least felt that he had to be? There was no way someone could watch their sibling be serious over a competition as important as Blue Royalty, and not try to match their determination over it.

“I’ll certainly make sure to watch out for her, then,” Calen replied, hiding his suspicions. “Thanks for the warning,” He joked. Though he wanted to continue asking about it, Dorian seemed somewhat annoyed by the mention of his sister, and Calen wanted to stay on his good side, so it would probably be a conversation for another time.

He was ecstatic to see Dorian’s enthusiasm and excitement over Calen’s interest. That had been easy - almost too easy - to get Dorian to think Calen was a soccer-fanatic like he obviously was. “Thank you, I might need that luck,” Calen joked, though he was partially serious, knowing that he would need the luck to be able to miraculously become an expert player. But, for now, Calen didn’t have to worry about it, because he had already achieved what he wanted to during the night - he had acquainted himself with - or even befriended - the captain of the soccer team, giving him a promising start to senior year.

A smile and a nod were given in response to Dorian telling him he knew Mikel. But it also crossed his mind to wonder how close he and Mikel were - so much so that Mikel told him things about his and Calen’s friendship. But, he supposed Dorian would have asked him about it if he knew anything. “Well, I could also say the same thing applies to you,” Calen replied, pointing at himself.

“Well, it was a pleasure meeting you, Dorian,” Calen announced, though the fact it was so was because Dorian was clearly high on the social ladder. After Dorian’s response, Calen left the bar and him, to stand against a wall out of sight from everyone else.

“I’ll put it this way, I’m going to be leaving after this to a currently parental-free house…And I probably won’t be alone. But I thought you could be the first to know before I found anyone else.”

If Daniel Parker was drinking something, he would have likely spit it out immediately - and he knew the shock on his face was, in a way, exactly what Delilah was looking for. “I…I’ll keep that in mind,” he stated, attempting to keep his cool. Though, it wasn’t the first time the two of them had messed around - Delilah was always more blunt about it than he was. Whereas he, at least, attempted to keep it under wraps, she had a policy of no sh!ts given.

He watched as the girl walked away, shaking his head knowing that she already understood his answer to the question. Though, for now, Daniel was more intrigued by the information his watch presented - finding himself once again skimming the missed information. Oh how he hated to be without his phone, though, the tiny device would do for now. As he scrolled onto the next piece, his eyes widened to see pictures of two people in… well… to say the very least, a compromising position.

Moving his head up, Daniel scanned the room before locating his target: Valerie Wood. Walking towards the girl, who at the moment seemed distracted by her own cell phone, Daniel looped his arm with hers, walking her towards a quiet area - despite her ‘What the f.ck Daniel’.

Once they reached a quiet room - a surprisingly difficult task during a party, though Daniel had achieved it - he smiled at the girl. “So, Valerie, What’s this I hear about you screwing Warren Hunter? Never thought of you as a homewrecker… but they say looks can be deceiving” he stated, awaiting to see the shock on her face, usually soon followed with a “Please don’t tell anyone, I’ll do anything,” - And Daniel did love racking up favors from his fellow classmates.

Valerie was standing at the bar with her drink, she scrolled through messages on her phone when she felt an arm cross with hers, she jumped slightly spilling her drink and looked at it and saw Daniel “What the f-ck Daniel” she said with a small sigh as he started walking with her towards god knows where “you shared the sh-t out of me” she added
He walked her to a more quiet and secluded area, but she wasn’t asking any questions as for now.
They got to a room and he let her go, she turned to face him crossing her arms. He had a smug smile on his face what already got her suspicious
So, Valerie, What’s this I hear about you screwing Warren Hunter? Never thought of you as a homewrecker… but they say looks can be deceiving
Her eyes widened in shock and she paused for a second, if she had a drink she’d spit it. “What-“ she mumbled “how the f-ck do you even know about that” she asked with a p^ssed look on her face
“And for your info I’m not a homewrecker and this is none of your business”

Daniel smiled, watching her as the shock morphed her features in that of worry - as he predicted from the start. Though, he was glad she skipped the "I don’t know what you’re talking about" act, as that never bode well with Daniel. After all, if you get caught doing something - own it, and he had found Valerie Wood in her own personal hell.

“how the f-ck do you even know about that”

He moved his head to the side, looking down on his watch to send her proof of her discretions - sent to him by yet another individual who owed him a favor. “Valerie, as you know, I work in information. People ask me to get them something, and they pay with things like the pictures I just sent to your phone - which I have to say, you and Mr. Hunter look picture perfect in.” he explained - the pictures comprising of the two of them in both compromising and uncompromising positions.

“… But.. you’re asking the wrong questions. The question you should be asking isn’t how I got the information, it’s what you can do for me to keep my mouth shut about it… and I hate to break it to you - though it may not technically be my business, I’ve made it so.”

“Well, at least it seems like you don’t have to do anything crazy or stupid, like the things I’ve done tonight.”

Tala chuckled at Kara’s response, her interest slightly piqued about what tasks the others have on their hands. To be honest, her tasks weren’t that hard for her to do, but they were still something she probably couldn’t do tonight anyway. She was beginning to feel defeated by the night. Ugh, what time is it?

“Let’s say that I’m smooth sailing right now.” Kara said, her eyebrow raised. Her eyes shifted to the plate Tala held. “Dang, girl. You must be hungry. Have you eaten at all today?” Kara laughed. Tala did not really mean to eat all of the meaty food on the plate she got. Realizing she probably did look like a pig right now, she placed the plate back on the table.

“I had my breakfast and lunch on the right time,” Tala said, “I just rarely get to eat things like these. They’re actually a no-no for me.”

Suddenly, she felt coldness. Quickly, she hugged herself and rubbed her arms for warmth. This outfit’s not the besr, after all… she thought, immediatelt regret that she just had to aear something such as this. What time is it? She looked at Kara’s bag, and pointed at it. “Hey, can I?” she asked.

A laugh escaped Daniel’s lips as he tapped the wall, “That’s the thing, Valerie, me releasing this information means absolutely nothing to me. Which is why I won’t hesitate to do so. But - it does affect every aspect of your life… especially since I also hear we have a new transfer that goes by the name of Calen Hunter,” Daniel explained - leaning against the wall.

“Since this conversation is starting to bore me - I’ll tell you what I want. I need information on your best friend, Candice Clarke. I’ll send you a text in the next few days with what I need in particular, and if you don’t comply, this information will likely be in Perez Hilton and page 6 before you can say ‘I’m sorry’. It’s been a pleasure speaking with you, Valerie.”

After saying the last words, Daniel exited the room - leaving the girl to think about his offer. Which, if he did say himself, was a good one.
