Suddenly the sound of music was replaced by a blasting fire alarm that filled the entire house. Before anyone got the chance to leave, sprinklers were set off, successfully hitting every student with droplets of water.

Though the alarm eventually stopped, it brought the party to an unexpected and unofficial close after everyone ran home either in fear of there potentially being a fire or just the sprinklers.

Monday 8:00 am, 9th September, Cerulean High

The first day back to school was heavily announced by ‘Welcome Back!’ posters and younger students avid to talk to seniors and know everything about the Blue Royalty game. The student guilty of the fire alarm had still not been identified, nor had anyone tried to find them, as everyone’s attention was on the first list of Blue Bloods.

The sprinklers suddenly came on and she gasped in anger. “What the f- what b*stard let this happen.” She looked at Tala to see what reaction she had to this. She stormed outside while everyone around her was bumping into each other, trying to get out. She even forgot to give her jacket back to Tala and she decided to do it when they came back to school.

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

It was a regular school day, except it was the first day. Kara looked in her closet while whispering to herself. “You know what, I’m just gonna wear whatever.” Her regular morning routine was done so she went to eat breakfast. Her mom was the only one around since her dad was at work. “Why are you wearing that outfit…nevermind.” Her mom said, kind of surprised that Kara didn’t fully dress up for the first day of school. “Mom, just leave it alone please. I already took your advice before the party. I know what I’m doing.” She stood back with her hands up to show that she’s going to leave it alone now, but that didn’t happen.“Apparently not After that stealing session you had.” Kara rolled her eyes and ate the last of her waffle. After being driven to school, she got out of the car. “Same old, same old.” Her locker had been revamped before she left so now it had a mirror inside of it. The bright red lipstick in her purse was calling her name so she opened the locker and started putting some on. Then she went inside of her empty class and sat down early.

Friday

The atmosphere of the party changed in an instant. What was once screaming the lyrics to the music playing, became screaming in (over)reaction at the alarm and sprinklers invading the room. Calen looked around, seeing people filter out of the house by the second, and it wasn’t long before there were only a few left. He hurried after them, not wanting to be ‘that’ guy who was the last one in the residence. When the alarm stopped, Calen was surprised at how it had only taken a fire alarm to demolish a senior party. Lucky for him, the party had stopped just before he could drink too much to drive home. So, he got in his car and drove home.

As soon as he arrived home he received a text message, promptly sent by Blue Royalty, informing him of his points score. Calen tilted his head, aware that he probably could have done better. But, he continuously reminded himself of the fact that it was only the beginning. He had time, and he was certainly going to use it.

Monday

Calen had spent the entire weekend thinking about only Blue Royalty, debating whether or not he had made it on there. Surely he had? He had to. And then the dreaded day had finally arrived where the list was announced. He spent the first half of the morning probably like most other senior students. Staring and refreshing his phone continuously… waiting… and waiting… and–

Finally, his screen was filled with the 5 faces of the first Blue Bloods. Calen could see instantly that he was not on that list, and to that he cursed in his head. The silence that had infiltrated his room was broken by the sound of a laugh from the other room, and then footsteps approaching his. He then heard a voice that could only be matched with his sister, Leilani’s. “Try not to cry, Calen,” His sister said, mockingly, before finally appearing at the door with her phone projecting the list he had just seen. “I don’t plan on doing so.” Calen replied, bluntly, before closing the door on her.

Though his mind was on that list, Calen had to focus on the fact that it was his first day at Cerulean High. The party was his first obstacle, and he had passed it with no problems, meeting three or four people. But this next hurdle was a big one, as he was going to be faced with the rest of the senior students, as well as the entire school. He wasn’t too concerned about it though… well, that was the image he perceived. Due to being a new student, Calen was not familiar with the written or unwritten dress codes at the school, and so he went with something fairly ordinary that wouldn’t make him stand out even more so than he already will.

He decided to use his parent’s car again, as a way to remind people of his wealth, and perhaps attract people on the top of the social ladder. When Calen arrived at the school, he was impressed with how big and prestigious it looked - it seemed like the perfect place for something like Blue Royalty. He navigated his way to the lockers and checked the sheet of paper in his hands to find the one that now belonged to him.

what I want. I need information on your best friend, Candice Clarke. I’ll send you a text in the next few days with what I need in particular, and if you don’t comply, this information will likely be in Perez Hilton and page 6 before you can say ‘I’m sorry’. It’s been a pleasure speaking with you, Valerie
He left the room. Valerie stayed standing there and his words echoed in her head
Obviously she wasn’t going to cross her best friend, you can say a lot of thing about Valerie but she’d never betray the people she loves. Ever.
She wasn’t thrilled with the idea of this going public but it also wasn’t that bad, I’m not a homewrecker, I don’t do a full background check on everyone I sleep with, it was partly his fault too. she thought to herself, and it was true. It really wasn’t completely her fault, and if that damn new kid didn’t come it wouldn’t have even bacons an issue.
Next day
The party ended in a very weird way, but school was on the chapter and the next morning came by quite fast.
Valerie got up and organized herself for school, she wasn’t in the mood for seeing Daniel nor Callen around the school but it’s not a big enough school for her to actually be able to avoid seeing them.
She headed to the school and tried taking her mind off things and focusing on having a great time and staying on top.

She closed the door behind her shut and pressed her back against the wall hearing a soft thud. Safiya took a deep breath, not enjoying the reminder of what was going on outside sent by the muffled music playing in the background, in
out
She wasn’t going to let her anxiety ruin her fun. She was just going to go back, and continue. People shouldn’t bother you! The voice in her head said frantically. The best thing for her to do would probably be to take a minute in there, but she didn’t know any better than to just push herself a little more. It wasn’t terrifying, it wasn’t that bad at that point in her life.
She put her hand on the door knob, turning it ever so slightly- I can’t.
Safiya sat down on the floor, snuggled into her jacket, sitting with her knees up to her chin. She slid her phone out of her pocket, little box glowing artificial light that tinted her face blue when she pressed the home button. She swiped and clicked a game icon with an awkward look. She felt bad for taking up the bathroom, so it took longer for her to forget why she was in there. But after a little bit of chilling down, she was comfortable with the muffled music, and had the courage to walk back out.

W-ooo She went, focusing on the party as a whole, She looked around and spotted Elodie chatting and Saf smiled shyly. Everyone seemed busy except those in the pool. “Hey guys!” She saluted to a group of familiar faces at the edge of the pool. She looked for a big space to get in, walking by the side of the pool until she found this little space where she just managed to jump in without splashing anybody too hard. Fiya unzipped her jacket and pulled down the sleeves, tossing it on the cement and then she jumped in fast, hitting the water a little bit hard. It was cold, but she didn’t act fazed and opened her arms out gracefully, swimming a short distance to tap somebody on the shoulder with a happy smile. She didn’t bring swimwear underneath her outfit but the water is the only place where she wanted to be. But she did not just soak herself to be alone.

She didn’t care about getting in trouble at home. BUT JUST THEN- The universe saved her ass. and everyone heard a big blaring sound. They were first alarmed, turning heads searched for where it came from but then the ceiling sprinklers started spinning and showering everyone. They were all shook, feeling icky and some people, offended by the rotating water gun above them. Safiya’s jaw dropped. They all followed eachother out of the pool, the party was over.

She picked up her jacket and wrapped it around her as quickly as possible. And with her belongings she jogged out to her car, when the roof was no longer overhead, the warmth off the water stopped and she felt the sudden cold. Goosebumps formed on her skin and she put more pep in her step, diligently working to GET TO HER D*MN CAR. she laid her jacket inside out on the driver’s seat in a manageable way. And placed her tush on the seat like a lady to not bunch it up. The door closed, and she shivered, putting the key in and turning the heat on in the meantime before her brother made it. And she sat there… for a while. She looked like a wet dog. A sad, socially anxious, wet dog. Looking out at the house, offering light beneath the empty sky. You could still hear chatter. Some of it comprehensible, sometimes unexpected. Things you can tell that Safiya could have gone on without knowing in her face where her eyebrows catapulted into space. She gripped the wheel and leaned her head in, “It’d only be a little longer”, she told herself, tightening her jaw at the end of word.

The Next Dae

Safiya woke up to the sound of her alarm in the morning and got up to go through her usual routine. She loved that feeling, routine. It is something that she has been taught to adore. She got up wearing a big baggy yellow t shirt and grey pajama shorts, one of those kinds that don’t really have a classification because you can use them for anything if you put your mind to it. Plain Neutral and Afforable. She went down for breakfast, reaching up into her cabinet for a cereal bowl like a stubborn little midget. Cornflakes at the table, looking at Mamoud.

He never showed up to her car, which she was still pretty upset about honestly, he scared her to death! Her big brother, nowhere to be found! He did send a text, but it he didn’t see that it didn’t send. He gave all of his f*cks to her. She got home in quiet tears, and when she saw him she was just grateful that he was fine, she forgave him with puppy dog eyes. He apologized, and they made up like they do. And everything was back to normal between them, but with her PARENTS?!?! shortys were shrucked.

Her dad yelled for the longest time. It was…fine though, she slid on her backpack in the morning and hopped in the car to drive to school! She was overthinking this day alot, she always gets first day jitters, wondering who she’ll meet, if her teachers are good, and the list goes on. She showed up to the entrance and it was early morning. The sun was rising and the school still wasn’t open so all the kids waited outside, Mamoud didn’t want to talk to anyone but she did so he let her go on my merry way up to this girl standing all by herself, her name was Valerie. Fiya held her first period books in hand already because she wanted to be and over achiever so she looked a little bit nerdy coming up to her. “Hi!” She said to her sweetly.

Valerie looked around the school, another day, another year at Cerulean high…
But this one was different, it was the last one. Senior year.
Not that she had any crazy fantasies of what’s going to happen when she graduates and becomes an adult, ‘a free person’ And all… but she did want to be over with high school, even though it did have it’s fun parts.
Valerie got her first period books ready and leaned her back against the lockers looking at the passing people, inspecting them, when a girl came over to her
Hi! the girl said sweetly, Valerie looked at her and smiled lightly “Hey” she replied “love the color” she said lightly gesturing at the girls shirt

Today was one of those days when hearing the loud sound of her alarm didn’t instantly ruin her whole mood. In fact, it didn’t wake her up because she was already awake and didn’t get any sleep at all. Maybe it was because it was the first day of senior year or maybe she was just feeling energised for no particular reason… Or something else she didn’t like talking about. She knew right away it was that but decided not to think much about it. It was always nice having a good day.
It was also a good thing she wasn’t tired - a million thoughts were running through her mind. How will this year start? How will it end? How cute can she make herself look for this first day? Was she… on the list? The list. She pushed the covers off of her body as she quickly sat up, grabbing her phone from the little table next to her enormous bed. Both her heart and mind were racing at that moment until the page loaded and she saw her face. No way… With the biggest grin on, she let her back hit the bed again, covering her face with her hands. She actually made it and it only made her more confident.

Quickly getting ready for the day; curling her hair and putting on a flowy, white dress, she left her room stopping in front of Dorian’s room. Did she feel bad because she was on the list and he wasn’t? She did but she was too happy to actually show it. “I’m waiting downstairs… And you suck,” she almost yelled as she knocked on his door, giggling to herself. He would know she was just joking and didn’t really want to rub it in his face, they were really close but it felt good to say that at that moment.

Walking away from his door and heading downstairs to the kitchen, she posted a selfie on her Insta story from just minutes ago, sharing her excitement with… the world. She wasn’t hungry, she’s never hungry in the morning but she had to eat.

Dorian DeLoughrey

Dorian on the other hand didn’t need an alarm, he would always wake up early, even if he partied the night before. He liked to be productive and when there is no school he would wake up just so he could train. Adjusting his eyes to the bright light, he sat up resting his elbows on his knees as he looked to the other, darker side of the room. As much as he likes mornings he hates waking up to such a bright light; turns out he wasn’t bothered pulling the blinds down the night before.
This time the first thing that was on his mind was the list. He knew what he did so he wasn’t that optimistic about it, just not this time but he also didn’t think he would see Elodie on that list. But he was wrong, she was there. And to make things worse he heard a knock on his door, followed by her voice.
Rolling his eyes as he laid back down, putting his arm over his eyes and dropping his phone down on the bed, he took a deep breath in. He loved her but she could be too much sometimes. And she just had to have everything she wanted.

Getting up grumpily, he stopped in front of his closet scanning everything he had in it. He was the sporty type so you would see him wearing something like that but it was too hot for hoodies so he went with something simple. A black T-shirt with jeans. Picking up his bag and car keys, he locked the room behind him heading downstairs to join Elodie.

Elodie DeLoughrey

Closing the door of Dorian’s car, she leaned against it and crossed her arms, looking around. It was always fun looking at new students trying to figure their way around the school, it was huge after all. But it was also her first day of her last year and she wanted to take that in, just for a second.

“Don’t let the fame get to your head now,” she heard Dorian say as he started walking towards the entrance, laughing lightly. Catching up to him as they both walked in, she spoke up a bit too enthusiastically. “I’m gonna go to class, ok?” Without waiting for him to answer, she turned around tightly holding her bag with a wide grin she had since the morning. And she was gonna go to class but after she walks around the hallways, alone, without him by her side. She was on the list, it was important for her to make people notice her on this day. Even the new students, every unfamiliar face she would smile at.

“Happy…,” entering the classroom and noticing Kara right away, she quickly walked up to her, sitting down on the table in a classy way. “Begging of our last year.” Giggling, she placed her hands over her knee, gently bitting down on her lower lip. She hadn’t felt this good in a really long time and it was probably very noticeable. “Can I sit here with you?”

“love the color” She gestured at Safiya’s shirt. Safiya followed her eyes, looking down and back up like she was a kitten and Valerie’s face was her laser. “Thanks!” She smiled simply, showing her dimples. “I like your shirt too” She looked down real quick to notice her shirt and then back up. “What’s your name?” She asked politely, holding her hands together in front of her, they hadn’t met before so she didn’t want to seem creepy. Also, she needed a confirmation.

Delilah Rose Hawthorne

Friday

When she took a seat at the bar, Delilah ordered a Lemon Drop Martini and sat as she had when she first arrived. For now, Delilah had done all she needed to do, and she was now ready for the first day back to school. So when numerous people sat and attempted to talk to her, Delilah smiled but then continuously cut them off, bored of whatever they were saying.

After approacher number 4 finally left, Delilah was surprised to suddenly hear an alarm go off. Before she could look around for who just did it, the sprinklers that were set off distracted her. Though a lot of people were running around stressed, Delilah just rolled her eyes at whoever just ruined the party for them all. Despite not knowing who it was, she already hated them. Delilah took time to finish her drink, before slowly weaving through the disturbed and overdramatic crowd, pulling out her phone to call her driver.

But Delilah stopped in her tracks when she saw someone stood at the exit, “Daniel Parker,” She stated. “Waiting for someone?” She asked with one brow raised, already knowing the answer.

Monday

Fuelled with the extra confidence from getting on the Blue Bloods, Delilah was more than ready for the first day back at school. She used her phone to look at the rest of the Blue Bloods list, call her driver and then check her camera roll for the pictures Friday night’s events. Delilah looked at the found picture with a satisfied smile as she knew exactly what she was going to do. Once again, Delilah chose something simple (right) yet effortlessly eye-catching. Then she went to the front of the house to, again, wait for her painfully slow driver.

She arrived in style, of course, instructing the driver to drop her off right at the entrance so that everyone could see Delilah Hawthorne had her own personal driver. She walked with a purpose down the corridor, everyone watching her as if she was on a runway, and Delilah relished it, walking with extra sass to keep eyes on her before she finally found who she was looking for.

“Candice!” Delilah exclaimed with a smile. “How are you doing? I haven’t seen you since you got completely wasted on Friday!”

Kara scrolled through her phone mindlessly as she waited for anyone to come in. Possibly Elodie, but they usually came in at different times. She felt like she forgot something, but she didn't know what. Just then, she heard the door open up Her eyes landed on Elodie entering the room. She noticed how fresh faced and happy she looked as she sat down elegantly next to her. "Of course you can sit here Eli." Kara said while punching her arm playfully. "but, what's going on? You look like you just won a million bucks."

FRIDAY:

Throwing Dominic an attempted smile - well, the best she could muster in the awkward situation - she turned back to Maverick, waiting for his response. A true grin reached her lips when she found him handing over the keys without much questioning. “I freaking love you right now,” she yelled over the music, pulling the man in for anther hug before pulling away seconds later. “Feel free to ask Jerry to take you home, he’ll be parked outside all night because apparently my mom thinks he has nothing better to do than wait for me all night,” she told the man, mentioning the name of her childhood driver - which ironically she had a better relationship with than her own family. Though, Maverick had met the sweet man various times as well.

With that, Candice took the keys and easily found the cycle parked near pavement - allowing her to make a quick getaway from a party she didn’t necessarily want to remember… not that she likely would anyways. An escape to her favorite getaway.

MONDAY

A soft sigh escaped her lips as she stood in front of her house a five in the morning - her uber dropping her off only a second earlier. To say the very least - Candice Clarke was about to be screamed at. There was no doubt about it. Taking a deep breath, Candice muttered “f*ck it” and walked towards the door - ringing the doorbell. It only took a second for the maid to open the door - who almost immediately begin saying prayers in swhaili as she ushered the girl in - asking questions about where she had been for the last two days… which were warranted. Had Candice disappeared off the face of the earth for the last two days? yes Did she tell anyone where she was? Not technically… no… though she did drop off Maverick’s bike at his house as to not arise suspicion.

Candice sat on the couch, watching the time slowly as her maid, Cynthia, went to notify her mother and step-father.

“CANDICE ISABELLE CLARKE - WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN? Do you know that we were worried out of out minds? And what the hell did you do? You sent us a f*cking postcard from Mexico saying that ‘you’re okay and you’ll be back on Monday.’”

Candice bit her lip slightly, watching as her mother argued with her stepfather - who, though usually a chill guy, also seemed upset at her. This was surprising since usually, her mother couldn’t care less about what Candice was up to. Though she knew the true reason for her mother’s anger, the fact that she hadn’t achieved “Blue Royalty” for the first round. But her mother was truly doing a great job at hiding it in front of her stepfather.

~2 hours later~

Candice had finally convinced her mother to allow her to get ready for school - a promise that she’d explain her actions later. Or in other words, Candice would utilize the time to figure out an excuse for her disappearance that didn’t include the real reason. Yep… she couldn’t tell her mother the truth about why she had disappeared and she had no intention to do so either. Though, her mother did take a moment to complement Candice on her tan… so there was that.

Changing into a new outfit Candice had stashed in her closet, the girl entered her driver’s car to finally locate her lost phone and have a pleasant conversation with Jerry. Suffice to say - her phone had blown up with hundreds of notifications that CC ignored for the time being as she reached school - hoping to avoid any additional questioning there. After all, a girl only needed so many interrogations in a day. Though, it seemed she had spoken too soon as she found Delilah Hawthorne approaching her.

“Hey!” Candice exclaimed her usual smile upon her features despite the fact that every instinct in her body was telling her to just keep walking. There was something about conversations with Delilah that never really sat right with Candice - complements not really… feeling like complements and various other things. Though, she had become distracted when the girl continued to talk.

“I’m great! I just needed that after hangover chill out sesh.” Candice stated, “that and some coffee and I’m back to normal. Though I can’t say I really remember talking to you during the party - then again, everything’s a little fuzzy. Care to refresh my memory?” Candice questioned - which was partly the truth. She couldn’t remember arriving at the event - though, she could clearly remember leaving it with set intentions.

Plopping down on the chair next to Kara she placed her bag on the table, crossing her arms over it right before Kara lightly punched her. “Hey,” giggling, she nudged her back with her leg, taking her phone out of the bag. They were the only students in the classroom so far so she could talk about anything she wanted and not fear someone would judge her. “Wait, you didn’t see?” Whispering as she unlocked her phone to find the list, still having a cheeky smile on. Was she gonna brag about it this entire day? Probably. “Look,” turning to face her completely, she shoved her phone in Kara’s hands, waiting for her reaction. “I’m on the list!” She quietly exclaimed, leaning back in the chair looking proud of her ‘accomplishment’. All she needed to do was keep it up but you never know what else you might do and there certainly were some things she would never do.

“Also, there is something about you and…,” she added with a slightly confused expression on her face. There was a post on the blog about the party and a few people were mentioned, including Kara. She didn’t see her that night, she was too focused on doing her tasks that she completely ignored people around her. Well, most of them. “Shoes?” Chuckling, she crossed her arms and raised her brow suggestion for her to explain what that was about. “What happened at the party?”

Mikel hates to admit it but he was excited for school. He liked the routine of it and seeing people all day long opposed to his summer spent mainly alone. He hung out with friends a few times but his parents were always busy with some work thing and even though his dad tried many times to get him to go to work with him Mikel always said no which in turn caused a fight and then him and his father wouldn’t talk for two days. This happened multiple times. It is not his dream to take over the family business but he knows that his dad expect nothing less of him. Mikel wished he had gone to Paris to stay with his grandfather the whole summer and get away. He liked it there better. His grandfather got him and wasn’t a hard -ss like his dad was. He understood that Mikey wanted different things even if it meant the family business wouldn’t be in family anymore. It’s not like Mikel has any siblings either that could take it over. He was an only child. Being alone was never good for his head but he was trying to break his ‘party boy’ ways a bit this summer. Though he stopped drinking he still went out and did other things. It was the drinking that really messed with his head and caused him to hit lows again. The other things just usually heightened his emotions a bit more and if he was happy that was a good thing.

He rolled out of bed and immediately turned on some music which started blaring through his room. His room was a dark green on the walls, almost black with white trim which wasn’t his idea but the rest he did. There were records on one walls and his Polaroids on another, all black and white of course. He had his old stereo which had cassette tapes sitting a top it. All of his furniture and things in his room was mostly in old thrift shops or things people were giving away which infuriated his mom who was all about things matching and being of high end brands. He made his way to the shower and stood in there for what seemed like an ungodly amount of time. He was doing okay recently and it was just him thinking this. His therapist had told his parents the same thing and then his mom threw him a party. Though she couldn’t tell everyone what the party was for of course, then her friends would their her kid is a f-ck up, instead she said that Mikel had won some sort of photography contest. When people asked him to see his picture Mikel proceeded to show them one from a party of his friends butt. That usually ended the conversation.

He got himself dressed in a black t-shirt that was most likely dirty and a pair of jeans in which he rolled up slightly on purpose to his the fact that they were actually too short for him since how tall he is. He put on a necklace that once belonged to his great grandfather and his glasses and then grabbed his camera and bag before he left. He walked through the kitchen and the only thing that could be heard was his music still from his room which he hadn’t turned off. Never does. Silence isn’t his buddy. He grabbed a granola bar from the cabinet and walked out to the garage to his car. It was an 1989 Jeep Wrangler which was something his parents bought for him that he actually liked. They got it for him when he got back from his little vacation a few years ago. There was a pile of cassettes in the center council so he looked through them quickly before grabbing one out that had hashtags written in sharpie on it. Some of the cassettes were old one and originals while others he burned himself with newer songs.

As the song started to play he put the car in gear and started to drive. The older Jeep was a stick shift. When he got to school he rolled his eyes at all the expensive cars he saw in the lot already. All the privileged people in one place showing off daddy’s money. He got out and locked the door to his Jeep even though the windows were off and someone could easily get in and take it for a joyride. He held his camera in his hand as he walked into the school and looked around. Senior year. He was ready to leave this place and never look back. He saw Mamoud as he walked through the halls and was a little happy to see one of his friends. “Hey, how was your night?” He asked him with a smile as he got closer to him. The end of the night was interesting since the fire alarms went off and that basically sent everyone home.

Her eyes scanned Candice’s outfit, basic jeans and a jacket - completely boring. At least Delilah had successfully managed to make basic look good. Though from looking at her, Delilah could see that Candice had grown tense from her approach - though she wasn’t bothered, she knew it was only the start of the tension that will start to grow after Delilah continued to talk, but for now, she just smiled while Candice explained how she recovered after the night and everything else Delilah didn’t care about.

A deceitful smile grew on Delilah’s face when Candice asked her to refresh her memory. “Well, it’s actually really funny you asked that, Candice,” She replied, laughing as if it actually were funny. Her next actions were done in a casual and lighthearted way, despite the cruel intent. Delilah pulled out her phone again, opening it to her camera roll. Holding at an angle so Candice could only just see it, a video began to play.

The volume of the video was not tailored to the quietness of the corridor, as Delilah didn’t really care who heard as it wasn’t her problem, and she wanted to see the fear in Candice’s eyes of everyone hearing and seeing it. What her phone presented was a completely drunk and half-dressed Candice outside of the Rockefeller Residence. When the video ended, she finally faced the phone in the direction of her and played it again so she could see it properly. “Does this… refresh your memory, at all?” Delilah asked, innocently, still with a seemingly-kind smile on her face.

“Well, it’s actually really funny you asked that, Candice”

CC shifted her head to the side in slight confusion as the girl muttered those words. Though her confusion shifted to shock, and almost instantly to worry, when she saw what was on Delilah’s phone. Within the video on the girl’s device, Candice found herself standing in her underwear - mumbling drunk nonsense.

“What the hell, Delilah, put that away” Candice whispered harshly as the girl attempted tp play it again. Though, Candice couldn’t exactly say she remembered the occurrence - the first part of the night still blocked out of her head. As Candice pushed Delilah’s phone down - in hopes that no one around them would see or hear it - she took a second to smile at those walking near them before turning back to the girl. “Okay, Delilah, you’ve had a laugh. Now can you delete it?” Candice questioned - crossing her arms over her chest as she whispered the words.

Candice had given her the exact reaction she had expected, and the reaction she wanted, and Delilah couldn’t help expressing how funny she found it. During the second time of it being played, Candice shoved the phone downwards to protect the video from being seen by the passing students that had already started to turn their heads in their direction. Delilah let the phone stay down, meaning she was allowing the video to stay out of sight from everyone else… for now.

“Yeah, of course, I’ll totally delete it,” Delilah said, then her tone switched to a more serious one. “Right after I post it for everyone to see.” She watched for a moment as the distress increased on her face, the face of a friend she had known for years. Though most people, including Candice, would wonder how she could be doing this to someone she had been friends since the beginning of her childhood, Delilah only saw this as something she wanted and had to do and didn’t care about how Candice, or anyone else, for that matter, felt. After pausing for a beat, Delilah broke the seriousness in her face.

“Oh, my God, I’m totally kidding! You should have seen the look on your face, Candice,” Delilah exclaimed, a clap accompanying her laugh, potentially in an attempt to stall. But then she finally got to the point, continuing with a humorous smile grew on her face. “This video will never see the light of day, as long as I never see your face on the list of Blue Bloods.” She proposed. Although Delilah wasn’t really giving Candice a choice in the matter, she still added on an “Okay?” with a satisfied smile to conclude her assertion.

Skimming over the Blue Royalty list in the morning, Daniel wasn’t surprised to see any of the names on that list. Though - there also was a clear understanding that this wasn’t meant to get excited over - that was fruitless and allowed for mistakes. After all, the higher you are - the harder you fall. Closing his cell phone, Daniel made his way to the closest garage - not to be confused with the only garage his parents owned. Hell - it probably held the most worthless cars of the collection his father had started but who could blame the man. Grabbing a pair of keys without looking, Daniel found himself to be driving a black Ferrari today and took the car to his first destination - one he had been driving to for practically every morning for the past two years, not counting when he simply had his driver get the girl when he didn’t “technically” have his license.

Jumping out of the driver’s seat, the man leaned against the side car as he awaited Jezebel’s entrance - after all, he had sent her a text moments earlier that he had arrived. “RISE AND SHINE” he screamed as the girl finally came out of the house. “Little known fact - Kylie Jenner stole that line from me,” he continued with a smile on his features as she approached him. “So we have two options today - either I drive and you can listen to me sing the whole way to school - which I know you hate - orrrr…” he continued holding the keys up momentarily to get her response.

Fear encompassed her being: Candice could feel her heart rate speeding up, and her muscles tightening in discomfort. Though people would probably try to tell her there wasn’t necessarily anything bad in the video - Candice knew they were wrong. Sure she had posted bikini photos various times and done photo shoots for her mother in less than what she was wearing in the video - the problem was only partly her outfit. It was her actions. Her drunken composure. As Candice’s mother would say, perception is everything and with that one video - Delilah Hawthrone could tear the perception of ‘Candice Clarke’ down. Not to mention, it would hurt Candice’s chances of getting into any reputable art schools - which, although Candice knew her mother didn’t care about - having lined up her life of ‘modeling’ since youth - Candice wanted… no needed: for her own sanity.

The girl released a breath she didn’t even know she was holding when Delila uttered her next words. “Oh, my God, I’m totally kidding!” though, Candice knew better to trust those words fully, after all, it was too good to be true - and she was right with the continuance of *“This video will never see the light of day, as long as I never see your face on the list of Blue Bloods”.

Blue Bloods? That was what all of this was about? A competition Candice literally didn’t care about and Delilah was utilizing one moment of weakness against her. Though, they do say this competition reveals people’s true colors and for years, Candice Clarke didn’t want to believe that Delilah was no longer that little girl that she used to be best friends with. However, this moment proved it. Delilah Hawthorne was no friend of Candice’s and she had made it clear she didn’t want to be - a fact that stung more than she’d like to admit.

Candice hesitated for a moment. Saying okay - not that she had a choice at the moment -meant that she would destroy everything her mother wanted for her - despite not wanting it herself. “I…Okay,” Candice muttered, her hands over her chest as she watched Delilah smile. “Now if you don’t mind,” Candice whispered - walking away from the girl and towards her locker. At this moment, Candice Clarke was screwed any which path she took. If she followed Delilah’s words - she’d disappoint her mother… and her mother would take away any privileges her father had towards her - a threat the women made when Candice had attempted to convince her that she didn’t want to do Blue Royalty. And if she negated Delilah’s words, she was screwing over the only future she could see herself being happy in. Sh**t

When Candice reluctantly agreed to stay off the list, Delilah finally put her phone in her pocket. Sure, Candice could easily take her phone and think it was all over, and that would be the case if she hadn’t already saved the video on a USB that had been hidden away in her house for insurance. Delilah hadn’t thought in great detail about how this would affect Candice, but she knew how beneficially it would affect herself, and so that was the thing that motivated her to do this. And it was also the fact that it was just fun for her to mess with someone.

To no surprise, Candice wanted to end the conversation as soon as she had agreed, and so Delilah watched Candice walk away with a smug smile on her face. When Candice was at quite the distance, she extended her arm to the sky and her hand waved down. “Okay, good talk, CC!” Delilah yelled down the corridor to the back of her, successfully turning the heads of almost everyone around them, allowing everyone to believe that the pair of them were still great friends.

After she had completed her personal task for the day, Delilah walked back down the corridor, this time with no specific motive. That’s when she saw someone she recognised alone near the lockers, and Delilah smiled hoping someone in particular - Kara Melbourne - would see her talking to him. “Congrats on the DeLoughrey name making it onto Blue Bloods!” Delilah exclaimed to Dorian DeLoughrey, with somewhat of a malice intent knowing full-well that the other sibling actually made it on there.
