”What do you mean? Is she like trapped in the marriage? Does he hurt her? Hurt him?"
Annabel sighed.
It was a lot more complicated than that, she herself didn’t understand the reasoning but either way, it wasn’t her place to tell. She knew all those things, she probably knew what was going on in that house more than half the family, but it didn’t matter. It’s not like she could do anything about it, who was she? Just a maid, what power did she have?
She was just about to answer, but got lost in thought and pulled back to reality by a movement on her hand, same hand that was rested on Gio’s arm. Was he… awake?

Bright lights,
beep
beep
beep
Beep beep beep… Where am I?
Gio slowly opened his eyes, halfway through, his head still hurt and he was half asleep from all the medication,
”Annie?” he managed to say, quietly as he noticed Annabel sitting next to him ”Where- am I?” He asked, his voice partially breaking
Annabel looked at him in shock ”G!!” she exclaimed partially squeaking, ”You’re awake” she said and turned to with a grin ”He’s awake” she said again, almost crying.
Gio turned his head slowly, was this a hospital? ”My head-” he muttered

It looked like Annabel was about to respond to her, until her eyes suddenly cut to the hand that she’d rested on his arm. She was acting like she’d felt some sort of movement, but Aline had missed it if it had happened. She was about to ask her if she’d felt him move, but then she caught his eyes fluttering from the corner of her eye. Her head turned and she watched his eyes open, a relieved gasp escaping her lips.

"Annie? Where- am I?” He croaked, his head facing Annabel. Him speaking solidified the idea that he really was okay in her mind. Andddd she was crying again, the tears running freely down her cheeks. "G!! You’re awake,” Annabel said, turning to Aline with a grin. ”He’s awake.” She nodded, laughing through a sob. “He’s awake, Dios mío, he’s awake.”

"My head-” These had been the most stressful days of her life, and it felt like finally, maybe, it was all downhill from here. “Gio,” she breathed, rubbing his arm. “You scared me.” She swiped at her eyes, giving him a watery smile. “Are you okay, how’re you feeling? Do you want me to get something for you? Oh-” Her mom, she should let her know that he was awake—and a nurse, Annabel said they should get a nurse when he wakes up. Her gaze flicked to Annabel. “A nurse- we need to get a nurse, right?”

Gio still wasn’t sure how he got there, but from what he could figure with his aching head, he was in a hospital bed, and he had no memory of how he got there.
"He’s awake, Dios mío, he’s awake. Gio, You scared me…”
Too much talking made his head hurt more, he still wasn’t just as focused and back to his best, but this girl there, seemed to be very excited he was awake, but he couldn’t seem to recognize her. She talked a lot, he quite lost his focus of what she was saying, but she rubbed his arm which startled him a bit, as much as one can be startled when he can barely even speak a complete sentence without it hurting his brain
”Do you want me to get something for you?” and something about a nurse
”I- no…” he mumbled ”but who are you-“ he asked

Tuesday 11:00 am, 7th April, Minaret Falls Campground

The coach finally came to an abrupt stop, and the students filtered out of the small door onto the campground, illuminated by the sunlight. After few moments were dedicated to hauling everyone’s extensive luggage, way too much for the few days they were there for, their conversations were interupted by the teachers calling out everyone’s names in order of the groups for the trip.

When the assigned groups had all got together and settled, a way-too-excited camp leader began to hand out sheets of paper containing the first group activity. But, before the contents could be read, the sound of different text tones going off at the same time filled the site.

As the limo pulled into Minaret Falls, Jessica’s anxiety was at an all-time low. Perhaps it was the four glasses of champagne Daniel and she had shared, but she felt better about being stuck in a small space with people who likely hated her for the next three days. Well… that was until the limo stopped and the driver uttered - “we’re here”. Then all of what she felt washed back. Sh*t. She had drowned another glass after her call with Kai - who seemingly did have her phone… only for her to realize he was sitting next to Dorian. Which… in itself was awkward. So, as Daniel opened the door and stood out - seemingly annoyed that there was already spotty connection where they were - Jess didn’t really say anything. Only followed him out as the bus begin emptying - supposedly separating into groups.

Though before figuring out where she had been placed - mentally hoping it wasn’t with Dorian who she avoided when he exited the bus and… damn… she really could not look at him the same since that dream. Avoiding his gaze as he walked further away - likely towards his own group - Jessica only walked towards the bus when the blonde, male DeLoughrey was far enough away. Making her way towards her morning date with a smile. “Thank you for saving my phone, Mr. Kingsly. What can I do to properly thank you? Or was the unsolicited sex tips for your brother payment enough?” Jess asked the man as she approached him.

It had been a while since Sadie had seen everyone’s faces. She had spent weeks applying for scholarships and going in for interviews, in an attempt to reduce education costs in the future. As she knew, realistically, the lottery ticket money would never be able to pay for all they need. Due to the prolonged absence, she had been apprehensive about coming back. No, she knew that probably no one had noticed her not being there, she was more so nervous about how much things would have changed and how out of the loop she would be.

Aside from her worries, Sadie had missed everyone. Despite making the most effort to do so, she hadn’t been able to talk to everyone in the senior class, and it made her feel guilty. She had decided to dedicate this camping trip to meeting even more new people, as if she hadn’t been trying to do that since first joining Cerulean High already. Perhaps she would even be of help to them, as Sadie was no stranger to camping, going on them almost every year as opposed to the luxurious holidays her classmates would go on.

When arriving on the coach, Sadie had made a conscious effort to smile at everyone she walked past to get to her seat, and tried to interact as much as possible with the people around her. For a while, the coach was relatively quiet, with just the constant sound of murmuring. However, after a while there was a sudden uproar, and everyone’s attention was on one thing. The crowd of people blocked her view, but from the sounds, it was easy to infer what had happened.

The coach came to a stop shortly after that, tension still lingering amongst the crowd as Sadie exited the coach with them, going to take her bag as she looked in shock at the sizes of the ones around hers.

She was glad to hear about there being groups, as it would make it easier for her to interact and get to know specific people. When her name was called, she made her way over to Group 2 happy to see the familiar faces of Dorian DeLoughrey and Valerie Wood. But, soon enough, the person at the center of the conflict on the coach joined the group, and her attention immediately switched to him.

“Hey… Are you okay?” Sadie asked, not really too sure what the appropriate thing was to say in a situation like this one. “I don’t know much, if anything at all, about… the situation but–” She sighed as she realised she had probably chosen the wrong way to go about this. “I don’t know, I just wanted to… check?” She added, ending the last part as more of an uncertain question than a statement.

This bloody connection thing was going to be the death of him. The moment they entered the campgrounds, it was apparent that the wifi connection was not this place’s strong suit. He swore - if there weren’t blue royalty points on the line - Daniel Parker wouldn’t bloody be here. The last thing he had heard before the connection went out was that Jordan and Mikel had gotten into a fight - which Jordan had supposedly started. In retrospect, Daniel had a plan… but for that plan to take effect, he had to still spend the full day at this… dirty… bug-infested location. Disgusting.

He nodded when Jess mentioned getting her phone and watched her walk away towards Kai Azure. He watched the two interact for a second. There was something about the man that… Dan just wasn’t a fan of it. But this was Jess. He knew her. She’d date him for a few days, and then the two would break up. He had no qualms about that. So he didn’t really have to worry about the man… not yet at least.

With a sigh, Dan walked over to where groups were gathering - scanning the plebian paper list to find his group - which he surprisingly didn’t hate. His sister, Delilah, Theo, Ruby - people he didn’t necessarily hate. So perhaps this wouldn’t be awful. Walking over to his group with his hands in his pocket, Dan spotted a girl he hadn’t seen in a week. Well… he’d seen her face plastered on news articles. But he hadn’t really… seen her. Rocking blonde locks, she looked different… though he couldn’t tell if that was a good thing or a bad thing as of yet.

“Morning blondie,” Dan muttered as he walked towards Delilah Hawthorne. “So how’s the new family?” he questioned with a soft smile.

Elodie May DeLoughrey

The whole time, Elodie had her aiprods in and was lost in the changing scenes as the bust kept going through the wooded area. Occasionally she’d look at her phone to reply to Riker with a goofy smile on but she was just enjoying her alone time, daydreaming. And it would’ve stayed like that if she didn’t notice students in front of her standing and looking back. That’s when she stood up and saw something she could never imagine happening. From what she could see and guess, Jordan punched Mikel? Jordan? She was frozen for a couple of seconds, she couldn’t believe she was seeing that but as soon as she wanted to walk over to them a teacher pushed her out of the way, making her sit down again. For the rest of the ride that’s what she would’ve been doing, she’d just be worried but her “plans” changed when she noticed someone taking a seat next to her.

TO BE EDITED

When they arrived, Elodie was one of the last people to exit the coach, one of the last people to get her stuff. If things were different she’d hurry to get out and see the nature around them, but she was still a bit sad because of what happened and she just wanted to find Jordan and see what happened, see if he was okay. And to hear they were all getting sorted into groups and she was in a group with him made her happy. She didn’t have to worry about him because she could get to be with him. But she wasn’t happy just because of him, she got to be with her brother and other people she liked so there shouldn’t be any kind of problem.

She made her way to the group with the intention to talk to Jordan but when she got close she noticed Sadie was talking to him so she stopped in her tracks, frowning slightly. Sadie was a nice girl so she didn’t really mind it and just didn’t want to interrupt so she walked over to her brother who was eyeing someone, but she couldn’t tell who, and she simply stayed quiet.

After spending weeks in opulent locations and brushing shoulders with distinguished socialites, it was needless to say that camping wasn’t exactly on Delilah’s bucket list. In fact, voluntarily spending time outside and sleeping on the ground was the last thing she wanted to do. She delayed getting off the coach, in a useless attempt to sit and wait for the coach to leave with her still on it. Her efforts were for nothing as the coach driver stood to check that all had left, and Delilah finally stood and got off, the only thing stopping her from calling for her driver to come and pick her up was that this was a chance to earn points.

Delilah had to laugh at the annoyance from everyone when they saw that most of the space for luggage had been taken up by the masses that were Delilah’s things. But it was completely necessary, of course, the only way she would be able to do camping is if it were to be the glamping-style. She picked up one of her lighter bags and successfully convinced one of the camping instructors to take the rest of the load.

Someone behind her had approached her, addressing her by her new hair colour. Delilah turned around to see Daniel Parker for the first time in a while, asking about her family. You’d have to be a little more specific, she wanted to say but instead smiled. “The new family is amazing,” Delilah replied, proudly. Lily-Ann had made her change her hair. Dictated the way she dressed. Tried to make her sleep with someone. “Yeah, Lily-Ann is really great. Perfect, even. Now I can see where I got that trait from. Hope you didn’t miss me too much.” Then she laughed, “Who am I kidding? Of course, you did.”

As Jordan sat in the seat alone, Riker sitting next to him for a few moments - not saying anything. The man was always good like that - Riker likely already knew that there was a million and three thoughts running through his mind and didn’t add on to it. Jordan knew he had made a mistake. He wasn’t that guy. The one who starts fights. Sure what Mikel had said was foul, but it shouldn’t have hurt Jordan that much. So even as Jordan sat alone, Riker leaving for a few moments - his eyes moved towards his fist - blood spilling from his knuckles. What the hell was he doing?

It was this very thought that stayed prevalent in his mind as he made his way outside - being one of the last people to leave - mostly because he was unwilling to run into Jezebel or Mikel. The regret still clear as he took a seat near where his group was meeting up. His eyes frozen on his hand as his mind thought back to his father. Was he turning into the man? His father had always had anger issues and Jordan praised himself on being nothing like the man. But maybe he had only been lying to himself. Hidden beneath the surface of his carefree exterior, maybe his father had rubbed off on him more than he liked - and that idea, that very thought scared the hell out of him.

Though - his mind was brought out of his stream of thought when he heard someone speaking. “Hey… are you okay?” blinking a few times, Jordan brought his eyes to meet hers, sending her a sad smile. “As good as I can be… maybe… I don’t know… I’m sorry you had to see that in there… that’s not… usually me,” Jordan whispered, the soft smile still on his lips as she told him she wanted to check. “No… I appreciate it… I’m sorry, I should introduce myself - I’m Jordan, the idiot who got into a fight on a bus,” Jordan muttered with a soft smile - putting his hand out to shake hers before realizing there was still blood on it. “Ahh… sh*t… I’m sorry,” Jordan whispered, grabbing a shirt out of his bag and wrapping it around his hand - realizing he probably looked like a complete mess.

Disappointed didn’t even begin to describe how Riker felt towards his friend. For two years he had known Jordan and not once had the man ever made an indication to do anything like that. Jordan wasn’t a fighter - if anything he was a mediator. Getting Riker out of trouble multiple times. If there was one thing that Riker Taylor was positive of - it’s that Jezebel Sloane was not someone Jordan needed to be getting entangled with. A sigh left his lips as the bus continued driving, the two sitting silently next to one another until Riker couldn’t do it anymore. He needed a breather, and so did Jordan so instead of staying, Riker brought a smile to his lips as he walked slowly to the front of the bus where Elo was sitting - a girl who always knew how to bring a smile to his lips. Taking a seat in the aisle, he grinned surprising the girl. Though he was slightly surprised to realize that the girl sitting next to him was Yara Keller. He’d seen her recently, but it did always bring back the old memories he had of her. All the good memories that was.

Though shaking himself out of it - he spent the rest of the trip talking to the two girls. Well until he got yelled at by a teacher for sitting in the aisle and was sent back to purgatory. Meaning he helped Jordan wrap up the wound as much as he could until they reached the destination. Though, that didn’t stop him from approaching Elo the minute they had gotten out. A smile met his lips as he snuck behind her and placed his hand on her eyes from behind. “Three guesses or I’ll tickle you to death,” he whispered jokingly - knowing that he was nowhere near his group. What could he say - Elo shouldn’t have told him that she was ticklish.

He smiled as the girl made her guess - which really wasn’t hard, but couldn’t help but notice his friend Dorian standing beside her. Though for some reason, the man seemed to be staring off in the distance and Riker couldn’t exactly tell where. “Yo, Dorian. What’s caught your attention. Don’t think you’ve stared this intently at something since someone started speaking fluent Itallian to you and you had no idea what they were saying but you were still trying to figure out what it was”.

Emily had been sitting next to her best friend, Hailey, for the past few hours - the two of them sharing their AirPods as Hailey blasted some Selena Gomez. Though despite this, Emily’s mind was wandering somewhere else. Her eyes had shifted over to a man sitting a few feet in front of her. Dorian DeLoughrey. It was odd - for the past few weeks, Dorian had been ignoring her and she had absolutely no idea what she had done. Things had been going really well… or so she thought. They were having sex almost on a daily basis at one point and she really thought he was feeling something for her. And then, out of nowhere, he told her he needed a break. And she had heard rumors that he slept with Elizabeth and Dani from the squad too. What. The. F*ck. But it was fine. Because this camping trip would give her the opportunity to win him back. She had almost convinced herself that the reason he broke it off was because he was catching feelings and some alone time together would just about do it and they’d finally be together.

Emily Dalton and Dorian DeLoughrey. They would truly be the it couple. A fight and a few hours of driving later, they had all made it to the campsight - though much to her dismay - she heard her name in a different group than Dorian. How the hell was she supposed to get him to fall for her if they couldn’t spend the trip together… no… this wouldn’t freaking do at all. Especially not with Sadie, that traitorous wh0re, being in the same group as him. No all it took was a little begging after everyone had left the busses for Coach Donnelly to switch her. She made up some story about making up with Sadie during the trip to strengthen their team bond before nationals, especially since she was demoted from captain and Sadie took her spot. Though, that wasn’t the real reason.

A bubbly smile met her lips again as she walked over to her new group, running and jumping on Dorian’s back as she reached him, a laugh leaving her lips as she wrapped her arms around his shoulder. “Hello handsome, guess who’s in your group,” Emily laughed - ignoring the fact that he was talking to another man when she got there. She let her lips brush against his ear as she lowered her voice. “And… we can have a little more fun too if you’re still into that, I’ve always wanted to try sex in the woods,” she smiled.

Daniel leaned against a tree, smiling as he watched the camping instructors bringing Delilah’s various bags over from the coach to where she apparently would be sleeping for the night. “You do know we’re only here for three nights right? But… don’t let me stop you,” Daniel stated, watching as bag after bag gathered around her feet. Many of the students had already gotten in their groups or started working on their tents - and maybe Daniel would have joined them. But he was never to do the dirty work. Much like Delilah Hawthrone, Daniel had his own plans for how he’d be… sleeping on the ground.

Though his smile faltered slightly when she continued talking, explaining how things were great with Lily-Ann, something he truthfully doubted. Delilah was many things, master manipulator and liar being one of them. But she would always have a harder time lying to Daniel. She was good, but that would only take someone that far. “Really?” Dan stated, his eyebrow raised at her words. There was something different about the girl and it wasn’t just the color of her hair. “From what I know about Lily-Ann, she’s far from perfect. You should know that much by the eulogy speech I did,” he added. “But I did miss you, Delilah, I will say that much. No one can… spice things up around here as you can. I imagine you’ll do the same during this camping trip… though I can’t really imagine you camping. Then again… I can’t really imagine you as a blonde and here we are with that,” he added.

Jezebel Mallory Sloane

Four words. Four words from Riker that got under Jezebel’s skin. “Are you happy now?” Though he simply whispered the words to her, she felt like he thought that this was just what she hoped would happen. Her eyes cut over to him for just a moment as she quietly responded with. “You think I wanted this?” She couldn’t deny that there was that part of her that wanted them to fight for her, but no part of her meant it in a literal sense. She needed to know they cared. That they would stand up for her, and show her that she meant something to them. But actually getting into a fight, that was something she never wanted. She didn’t know everything going on regarding the two, but there was a level of disappointment there. She’d never known Jordan to be the one to hit someone, so he must have been provoked in some way. Neither could be innocent with the situation. She really cared about both of them and she didn’t want to see either of them hurt. At that point, teachers came to defuse the situation which included separating the two. Jezebel watched as Mikel walked to a different seat further ahead, then looked back towards Jordan for just a moment before Riker moved to sit next to him. In the time that Riker had moved to sit somewhere towards the front of the bus for a while, Jezebel had thought about sitting down by Jordan to talk to him, but in the end went against it. She just didn’t know what to say. The rest of that ride for Jezebel was spent alone in her seat, trying to wrap her mind around everything. Things had just started getting better for her, but then that happened. She was a mess. Everything that happened was, at least in part, because of her. When it was time to get off the bus, Jezebel got off as soon as she could, hoping that some fresh air would let her breathe and try to clear her head. As soon as everyone had gotten off the buss, and everyone’s bags were accounted for, they were assigned a quiz, not just by the teachers, but by Blue Royalty. The one positive of the situation being that Daniel was in her group. At least she would have her her brother there to help her keep her sanity.

He answered sadly, and Sadie started to feel guilty as at was obvious he wasn’t okay, and maybe her asking had made it worse by reminding him that her and everyone else had seen. She started to also feel regret, as she started to think that maybe she should have left him alone, that’s probably what he would have preferred. “No… don’t apologise, you don’t need to,” She said, trying not to cringe at herself not knowing what to say, trying to find the end of the conversation, as she thought it would be doing him a favour. “It’s okay, I’m sorry.”

As she was about to back away, he continued, introducing himself as Jordan. She had heard of him, seen his social media, though so had almost 30 million people, but Sadie certainly didn’t know enough about him to try to guess what the incident on the coach was about. “I’m Sadie,” She replied, simply, going to shake his hand before he pulled it away, only then realising the blood he was now trying to cover up with his shirt, and Sadie started to rack her brain for some way she could help.

“There’s a bathroom,” Sadie started out of nowhere, as soon as her mind went to there. Then after a moment, she continued. “I’ve been here a few times in the past, so… I could show you where the bathroom is. If you wanted to…” She gestured to his hand that had now been completely shielded by the fabric material. “… If you wanted to clean it, or something.”

Daniel’s eyes, much like everyone else’s, fell on Delilah’s belongings. “Only the essentials, Daniel,” She replied as if it were an obvious fact. Then she signalled to the groups, including theirs that they had not joined, trying, and painfully failing, to put up a tent. Delilah certainly had never been one to sleep in a bag, and she wasn’t willing to start now - especially if there were no Blue Royalty points available for it. “Don’t knock it, Parker, I’m sure you’ll be wishing you packed a little more after having to spend a night in that crappy polyester disaster.”

As soon as she began to talk about Lily-Ann, Delilah could see Daniel’s expression changing, which only made her look appear more convincingly enthusiastic about the lies she was telling. “Well, maybe Lily-Ann just didn’t like Candice and does me, and I certainly can’t blame her for that,” She replied, the last statement coming out through a small laugh. The mention of Candice being so nonchalant had caught the attention of a few people around them, who were still numb to the sudden death, stopping them in their tracks. “And may she rest in peace,” Delilah added, her hand on her heart, though not sounding completely sincere, but was enough to set the mourners back in motion.

“I missed you too, Daniel,” She started, for a moment sounding like she actually meant it. “I could have used a fake ID when we took a visit to Japan. But, it seemed the blonde helped the rules be bent a little. So, yes, blondes do have it better.”

Dorian DeLoughrey

Dorian should’ve known, from the beginning, that this trip wouldn’t be the most pleasant one. He was with Malachi, who he didn’t really have anything against until later, Mikel was with Jordan and Valerie was just in front of him. What a perfect group. Of course, Dorian wasn’t happy but he didn’t want to ruin his whole day because of that. Soon they’ll arrive and he’d be just with his friends, that’s what he was hoping for. He even wanted to have a nice conversation with Malachi but that soon changed when his phone rang. And he answered. And Dorian saw who it was.
It would be a lie to say he wasn’t p!ssed off because he was still… confused. Nothing made sense so this made it worse. A sarcastic and maybe a bit too loud chuckle escaped his lips as he shook his head and just turned his back to Malachi, like a dramatic teenage girl would do. A dramatic child that didn’t get what it wanted. After kissing someone and begging them to stay in bed with you, you go on a date with someone else right after? Well, Dorian shouldn’t care, should he? He… hated Jessica.

After a fight that didn’t really bother him since he was lost in his thoughts, a ride that was way too long, Dorian was one of the first students to exit the coach. He basically jumped up when they arrived and rushed to get out. He was first to grab his bags, before throwing them to the side as the teachers started calling their names and sorting them into groups. Remember how he thought he’d be with his friends? Yeah, he was wrong. Valerie and Malachi. Two people he was dying to be in a group with. Jordan was okay, he didn’t have a problem with him but luckily Elodie and Sadie were there to make it just a bit better. Speaking of Malachi… Dorian soon looked around, trying to find him but that wasn’t the smartest idea. Certain someone has finally made her appearance and he couldn’t look away. Maybe he was just disappointed after what happened, he didn’t even know but his eyes were glued on the two before he heard a voice right next to him and quickly looked away to see Riker and Elodie.

“A nice as$,” was the only thing he managed to say with a fake cheeky smile, before he felt someone jumping on his back, wrapping arms around his shoulders. “Oh, fck me,” hearing who it was, tho he could’ve guessed before that, Dorian mouthed and subtly rolled his eyes. Having Emily near him, after telling her he wanted to end whatever that thing between them was, was the last thing he needed. It didn’t help with his sh!tty mood when he tried to act as normal as possible. But two can play the game.

“Why don’t you get down so we can talk about that?” He also lowered his voice and slightly turned his head towards her, forcing a smirk on his lips. If things were different he’d ditch this group thing and find a cute little place just for the two of them, but they weren’t. “I already found a good spot but we’ll have to wait,” a lie as he tried to keep the smirk on, ignoring his friend and sister that were right next to him. “I was hoping we’d be in the same group. It’s been a while… sorry,” another lie but this time with an apologetic smile.

Elodie May DeLoughrey

“You good-“ Elodie wanted to talk to her brother who didn’t even look at her or anyone else that got close to him, he didn’t even blink, but she was soon interrupted when she felt hands covering her eyes. A soft smile appeared on her lips when she heard Riker’s voice, immediately placing her hands over his. “Ohh, no you won’t… Riker,” laughing lightly, she turned to face him with a smile that turned into a grin now, carefully moving her hands to his chest. But she quickly moved them and took a small step back, shifting her gaze down to the ground the moment he started talking to her brother. The two of them have been on a couple of… dates? If she could call them that and she always felt good with him. But she was still careful around him and didn’t give as much as she could, and maybe wanted to.

Dorian’s words made her look up at him again and shake her head. She knew him well enough to know that wasn’t what he was looking at but the comment still made her just a little bit uncomfortable. That was not a conversation she wanted to be a part of and she didn’t want to see what happened next. Soon, before he could say anything else, Emily who she knew because of Dorian jumped on his back and started whispering to him. “Well… not what I signed up for,” Elodie joked as she turned to face Riker again, crossing her arms and smiling softly. “Uhm… I don’t think this is your group, mister,” giggling, she looked up to meet his eyes and gently poke his stomach, but stayed quiet after with a shy smile.

The rest of the ride sucked. His jaw hurt and was swollen and he was too close to the front of the coat, where the chaperones were sitting to use his goodies to get rid of the pain. As soon as it came to a halting stop he hurried off, not looking at anyone but his feet as he walked. He clutched his backpack tightly in the grip of his hand. This camping trip was going to blow if he didn’t find something to let off his steam. He was on edge, annoyed with everyone at this point thanks to Jordans fist. Now, did Mikel egg him on? 100% yes but he didnt think it would get to the point of physical force. Mikel wanted to play the victim card so much but that wasn’t him. He didnt need anyones pity for getting punched because in all honestly he knew he deserved it. Maybe not to the extent that he had a bruised jaw and dried blood on his hands and chin but he deserved something with the way he had been acting as of recently. He didnt even listen fully to who was in his group until he did hear the name of one of his good friends get called and a smirk grew on Mikels broken face.

“Andy!” He whispered as he walked over closer to him, putting his backpack on while he did so. “What do you say we skip this little group activity and enjoy what I have packed away in here.” He said, referring to his backpack and the treats he had brought along. He didn’t even really care if it was just him going alone at this point to whatever place he found and made camp for himself but he felt maybe being alone in the wild and all his thoughts weren’t the best idea so why not bring Andy who he can cause trouble with instead. “I don’t feel like being around any of these people.” He admitted and turned on his heels. “I will be that way if you want to join.” He told him while making a hand signal to show he would be drinking.

The coach arrived at the campground and Marie said goodbye to Kara, telling her everything would be fine. She grabbed her bag, getting off the coach and heading over to the mass of students. She found her group, heading over, happy she knew everyone there. She then felt a buzz in her pocket, Pulli out her on one to see a text from Blue Royalty about a quiz. She shrugged, putting her phone away and approaching her group.

Ruby grabbed her bag and got off the coach, making her way over to look at the groups. She was with Daniel, which was good, but she was also with Delilah, which wasn’t. “Well, sh!t…” Ruby muttered. She’d most likely just tune her out. Not like Delilah could spit out anything Ruby hadn’t heard before. The bullying she’d experienced in the past had basically made her impenetrable. She just didn’t care, she’s heard it all before. She sighed, making her way over to the group, standing there quietly, hoping not to draw attention to herself.
