As best friends for years, Daniel and Jezebel had gotten into a lot of trouble together, a fact she couldn’t deny whether she wanted to or not. Jezebel smiled slightly. “Not too much trouble, and nothing you can’t get them out of easily. Got it?” Jezebel laughed, shaking her head at Daniel saying that if the baby was a boy to name him Daniel, and if it was a girl to name her Danielle. “How about… No?” Jezebel smiled at her brother as he led her inside, glad to have him looking out for her. It was not long later when the doctor had come in, and Daniel was to the side looking at the information pamphlets there. Jezebel looked over at him, seeing the pained look from what he was reading. “Dan, if you don’t need to look at that stuff, be glad you’re a guy and save yourself from the mental scarring.” Soon, the doctor first checked that the baby was healthy and growing well. Then after making sure Jezebel still wanted to know the gender, the doctor confirmed that the baby was a girl. Jezebel looked to Daniel. “Looks like Jess was right. Sorry Dan, you’re gonna have a niece instead of a nephew.”
Zion smiled as Marie spoke about her parents, though their smile was bittersweet. “If they’re up to it, then I’d love to meet them.” They responded. They listened as she told them about Norway, chuckling with her after she told them about the food. “I was born in New York, but my parents are Mexican. We’ve never visited as a family, but I’ve seen pictures that my aunt takes whenever she visits. From what I’ve seen, it’s really beautiful. The food is amazing.” They told her, pausing before continuing. “My mother makes authentic Mexican food in her restaurant.” They explained, trying to ignore the fact that their mother may never be able to work in her restaurant ever again. When Marie explained that she’d taken points away from Daniel, they nodded. “Makes sense. I took points away from him a while ago. He told the entire school about my record.” They explained.
She raised her eyebrows, maybe with a trace of impatience, waiting for the reason as Dorian repeated her question. Delilah had no idea what kind of answer she was expecting, and it seemed like Dorian, similarly, didn’t really know what he would give as an answer. It wasn’t the fact that he was acting like he cared, Delilah realised, it would have been anyone showing worry for her that would have raised suspicion for her, as it was something that was unfamiliar territory for her.
After a joking mention of cheerleaders, Dorian gave the vague answer that was telling her it wasn’t what she thought. Her surprise that came wasn’t from the fact that he’d said that, but the fact that maybe she believed him. But before Delilah had a chance to reply, he continued, apologising and saying he would leave. “Dorian, wait,” Delilah blurted out, after letting him just talk, without really thinking. She wasn’t sure what it was, but it didn’t feel right to make him leave after him coming to her with concern and, dare she even say, care.
“Do you want to skip first period?” Delilah asked, seemingly confident in the way she asked though really she had no idea where she was going with the question when she began talking. Perhaps there was a part of her worried that he was about to say no, which would then confirm her thoughts about him being disingenuous, but she realised that maybe for a moment Delilah had to stop pretending she was above everyone else.
”Oh my god C- what-“ Valerie looked at the girl in shock as she told her about the apartment they had an eye on at the time ”The one in the village?” she asked **”Oh my god that’s amazing!” She grinned at the news and hugged her friend ”It was such a good one” she then added regarding the condo, thinking back on the plans they made before the girl… well, died.
“Alright; let’s sneak out”
And with a bit of effort the two brunettes disguised as a blonde and black haired girl, sneaking out from the back of the building, down and towards the hidden car. ”rodrigo’s sounds good let’s go there” she said ”theme is London” she smirked ”Kind of called for when both his girlfriend and his cousin are Londoners and he dares to say New York is better” Valerie chuckled with a mischievous smirk
“Any thoughts for a gift?” ”Ummmm I’ll think of that one later” she said and the two drove off and towards Rodrigo’s, getting lots of stuff to make a radly decorated party ”This is exciting” she smiled ”I ordered some party tray sized foods, but we still need to take care of the cake” she addes
Marie smiled when Zion said they’d like to meet her parents. “That’s great. I bet Sophie, my little sister would like you. She’s ten.” Her smile widened eben further when Zion said their mom owned a restaurant. “Oohh, Mexican food. That’s a lot better then Norwegian food. Trust me. Fermented fish isn’t good.” She said, pretending to gag. “The food isn’t all gross, though. The desserts are really good. Skolebrød is my favorite. They’re fried donuts with vanilla pudding inside.” She explained, making a hum of satisfaction when talking about the donuts. What’s the name of your mom’s restaurant called? I’ll tell my parents, and we’ll drop by, if that’s ok. That’s super cool.” Marie said, trying not to seem too eager about spending time with Zion. @Caticorn - Zion.
“Oh yeah, chocolat chaud making skills is definitely a talent” She sipped her hot chocolate, raising her eyebrows.
“Oooo” she grinned “Okay so I may have heard about it, but I wanted to hear it from you” she stated. “I’m happy for you! You guys seem happy together” she added, smiling. She has heard the stories of them dating, and she was even there during the breakup. Seeing them together made Maddy happy, especially since Theo was happy. It was hard to find someone so understanding, and that really liked you for who you are. Thats… advice Maddy herself should take.
“Okay okay soo…” she started. “Me and… this guy. So we uh… Nous nous sommes rencontrés au défilé de mode. Et nous flirtions beaucoup. MAIS CE N’EST PAS TOUT. D’abord, il a proposé avec un faux anneau gommeux, comme une blague dans les gicleurs d’incendie. Et puis quand nous sommes sortis dehors … je l’ai peut-être embrassé.” The words rolled off her tongue as she spoke about it. Somewhere in between starting the story she switched to French, her usual language when she got really happy. “Et puis les deux dernières semaines, nous avons eu des rendez-vous” She smiled to herself, happy with what had been going on the past couple weeks.
“But uhm… I still havent told him about…” she bit her lip, looking down at her stomach
We met at the fashion show. And we flirted a lot. BUT THAT’S NOT ALL. First he proposed with a fake gummy ring, like a joke in the fire sprinklers. And then when we got outside … maybe I kissed him.
“Got it,” Daniel laughed at her rules for his interactions with his future nephew. Though he knew it would probably be more trouble than that; but he wasn’t telling her that. At least not yet… it just wasn’t the moment for it. That’s what he was thinking about as the two reached the hospital room. And honestly; the moment Jez told him he didn’t have to look; he didn’t. That pamphlet looked like torture; and the paleness in his features were clear looking at it. “how does it… grow in size that much?” Daniel questioned - throwing the paper in the trash - haunted by the memory of what he just saw.
As the doctor came in, however, a smile met his lips as the woman begin working her magic. “Nephew, nephew, nephew,” Dan chanted though when the woman told them it was a girl; Dan’s features turned into a frown. “No… no I think you missed a d^ck in there. Go ahead and triple check please,” Dan asked; leaning over Jez’s stomach to look at the screen as the doctor confirmed again it was a girl. sh!t, Sh!t, Sh!t… dan thought looking at the screen as he went back in his chair with a grumble. “Not fair,” Dan whispered, “Mikel’s an ass; stupid female sperm,” he mumbled.
"And the baby looks healthy. You’re doing great Jezebel,
He looked at the doctor; a soft smile on his face. At least his sister was okay. And soon the woman was gone; a picture in Jezebel’s hand with the photo of the baby. “Well then… It’s okay. I’ll… sigh survive.” Dan whispered as he helped her up. “So what do you want to do with the rest of the day? We skipped school; so we can… go get ice cream… or… go back home so you can take a nap…”
“That very one,” Candice replied. She loved seeing Valerie smile… happy. Growing up, it wasn’t something people would often see from her. Fake smiles and laugher from things neither of them cared about - sure. But this was different - this was genuine. She melted into her friend’s hug; pulling the girl close as she wrapped her arms around her. Perhaps there was something more between them… underneath the surface. There always had been though Candice hid her feelings. And she continued to do so. If there was something C didn’t want to ruin - it was this friendship.
Candice laughed as the girl told her the theme as she drove to Rodrigo’s. “I almost feel like he has a fetish for London or something but he’s hiding it behind fake love for New York,” she added as she parked in the lot - leading her friend into the big building holding various party supplies. Though this place was more of a… upper-class version of Party City. The items were not only more expensive but also, more extravagant. “We can grab the cake afterwards,” Candice smiled; walking around with the girl with the people following them around. The two simply had to point at something for them to add it to their cart and they’d deliver it themselves. “Phone-booth photo booth?” Candice asked pointing at the red London photo booth on the side. “Wow that was a tongue full,” Candice added as she continued to walk around the warehouse with her. “Val… I… need to say something,” Candice said after a moment; the two walking down in one of the aisles. Though the look on her face; Candice quickly lost her nerve. “Uh… fireworks? Or no fireworks? I just needed to ask that…” Candice said; pointing at the fireworks shooter next to them.
“That very one,” ”That’s amazing!” Wrapping her arms around her friend, Valerie couldn’t hold the grin that formed on her lips as she heard the news. Honestly, it excited her, she was genuinely happy because for once, things in her life seemed to be going in the right direction. From the college acceptance, to having cc back in her life, to moving out of her mother’s house, to the way things have been going with Daniel, to the whole Jessica story fixing up, getting back on the blue royalty list… and now this. Things have been going good lately, really good to be honest. Probably better than they have in bloody years. And she was happy, genuinely happy.
”He definitely does” Val laughed lightly as cc mentioned Kai’s secret London fetish ”he can only keep hiding it for so long, eventually he’ll fold” she smirked ”Yes good” she said regarding the cake ”this first.” she added, though the cake unlike other things, was something she wanted to do on her own and not get from a bakery, especially because his favourite cake was a supermarket cake mix, but also because she enjoyed baking and wanted to do it on her own.
“Phone-booth photo booth?” ”Phone booth-” she tried to to repeat in agreement but wasn’t focused and, but then slowed and focused so she’d manage to say it ”phone booth photo booth. Yes” she said with a small laugh
"Val… I… need to say something,”
The girl said, ”What is it?” Valerie asked in response, but then cc went and asked about the fireworks next to her. ”A. Fireworks, always fireworks” she said with a small smile, and then raised her brow at her friend. She knew her well enough to realise there was something bothering her, something she’s trying to say but can’t. ”I know it’s not the fireworks c I haven’t met you yesterday” she added as she looked at the girl with a raised brow ”What is it? You know you can tell me everything” she added
”Sneaky” he laughed lightly as she said she had heard it before, ”so yes, all true” he added with a soft smile. Honestly, Theodore was happy to have Mareena back in his life in this aspect, he actually missed her, a lot more than he thought he did. But now… well, now he was happy.
"Okay okay soo… Me and… this guy…” she started telling him about this guy. As she mentioned the fashion show, his memory took him back and he knew who it was without her needing to say it. Or at least he assumed ”Elias?” he asked with a raised brow ”Je suis un homme occupé mais je remarque des choses” he added with a playful smirk.
“But uhm… I still havent told him about…” ”Hm.” he nodded, ”yeah that’s a bit of a big news thing. I think you should tell him, don’t take time with it he needs to know what he’s getting into if he does” he added ”C’est un bon gars, ça ira” he added with a soft smile
“Oui…” She thought about it for a second. “Wait wait wait… arent Elias and Mareena siblings? Oh no. We’re… dating siblings” she came to a realization. At least if something happened she knew his sister or what not. “Bien sûr, vous le faites. Alors tu l’as entendu dire ‘I love you Maddy’ comme une blague?” She pushed her lips together, a little embarrassed.
“Yeah… I was going to do it soon so I don’t keep leading him on if he doesn’t anything to do with it. But I really like him, so I’m just nervous…” a frown fell upon her face. “Je sais” she mumbled. “How do I even do it? Surprise im pregnant. Lift up my- no that wouldnt work im barely showing yet. This is too hard” she whined, finishing her hot chocolate and taking the cup over to the sink. Turning the tap on she began to rinse it out, making sure there was no left over chocolate which would later make it harder to wash.
“Oh I also had one more thing to tell you. Well more like ask” She paused, smiling. “The little one in here is…” she was nervous to ask him. What if he said no? That would be really awkward “Do you think they could have your name for their middle name? I know its dumb to ask, but your one of the closest people in my life and I think it would be nice if they had your name. Its totally fine if you say no too, I can always change it.” And… word vomit. Please say yes… please say yes
“I’d love to meet her.” They said in response to Marie telling them about her sister. “My brother is sixteen, his name is Christian. He’d definitely love to meet you.” They listened with a smile as she continued talking about food, but once she asked about the restaurant, their smile fell. “The restaurant is called El Restaurante de Pestana.” They answered, subconsciously playing with their necklace. “It’s not open right now though. My parents are on vacation.” They explained, giving her a more positive version of events. “Although, if you and your family want to come over to our house, I could make you something. I learned how to cook from my mother.” They told her, trying to conceal their excitement at the prospect of spending time with her.
They walked inside the house and were immediately greeted by Andy’s dog, who was very excited to see them. Ketziah laughed at him jokingly saying that the dog had heard the news too. “It wouldn’t surprise me if he did.” Ketziah said with a smile as she followed Andy into the kitchen, before sitting down on the floor to give the dog some attention. “Alright, no pancakes then.” She said with a laugh. “I look forward to seeing what you come up with.” Ketziah let Andy cook, while she played with the dog, looking back up at him with a small sigh when he mentioned Kasper. “He’s just worried about me…” Kasper had a right to be worried about her. Though he was overprotective of her, she was his baby sister, and his only family.
Kai smirked in response to Jess saying how he could see her in all the skimpy outfits he wanted, or her wearing less. At the table, Kai smiled as Jess kissed his hand, then listened as she began to talk about the event where he had met Jezebel. It was one night in which he actually let himself relax and have a good time, partly to blow off some steam, which just happened to lead to himself and Jezebel getting arrested and her friend having to come bail them both out. Kai nodded along slightly as she spoke to show he was listening. He looked down for a moment at the mention of her bailing him out with Jezebel. “Well, I didn’t get to tell you then, so thanks for bailing me out with her.” Though with the realization that they almost met that night, Kai smiled. “Didn’t meet when we were supposed to back then, and look where we are now. Guess we needed to meet.”
She couldn’t help but laugh when the girl talked about Kai’s secret London fetish. “Maybe tonight’s the night?” C asked as they grabbed more London themed items. Soon the two had more than 6 men following them around; each with their own carts full of items. Though when the question went back to Candice’s attempt at telling her something… she couldn’t. “I… I’ll tell you later…” C whispered. “Tonight… okay?” Candice questioned; grabbing the fireworks and throwing it towards one of the guys (though in retrospect that was probably a litttlllleeee dangerous).
And there they were; the two had spent the day together - going from store to store buying decorations, cake mix, even their own gifts. And in the meanwhile had told the warehouse to send the items in an hour. Soon they had made their way into Kai’s extravagant home; Val making the cake and Candice telling the people who were bringing all the items up where to put it in the house. And soon; everything was done. The DJ was there, the bartended had shown up, people had started coming in and putting gifts on the table. “I think, Val, you out did yourself today,” Candice stated; coming up to the girl who was talking to the bartender. "We, on the other hand, need to go change because we’re a little… underdressed.
“Well, I didn’t get to tell you then, so thanks for bailing me out”
“You welcome,” Jess laughed. “I was just proud of bailing my girl, Jez out. A first time for everything even if it did cost about 10 grand,” she added. “But really? Breaking and entering and public intoxication. I think I was wrong about you not being fun, Kai.” Jess explained as their food started coming out. She was drinking her milkshake when Kai added the comment of them supposed to meet and shrugged. “Apparently I met Akielah while you were a few feet away too, so maybe we were, Mr. Kingsly… but I personally quite enjoyed the meeting we had in the boys bathroom,” she continued.
The two of them soon finished the food (well most of it, Jess did have to take a to-go box of some of it) and Jess paid for the meal before the two-headed on yet another adventure. One that did include them going to a lingerie store and her doing a show for him. In all honesty; it did not take a lot to keep Kai distracted. The two of them later ended up going to a nearby carnival; playing the rigged games and mostly losing. But it was still fun. There was something about doing stupid, non-sensical things that just made her excited. Jess was on the Ferris wheel with Kai, her lips on his when she felt the vibration on her phone indicating a text from Val that it was good to bring him back.
With that; Jess brought her lips to his ear, “How about we move this back to your place and we can try on a few of the lingerie I bought?” Jess questioned; smiling as he soon led her back to his car and begin driving to his place. Standing outside his door; a soft smile met her lips as she held him back from opening the door for a moment. “Hey first…” Jess started, wrapping her arms around his shoulders as she looked him in the eye. “Kai…” she started… two months. That was all it took for Jess to know he had her heart. “Kai… 1. I’m sorry for what’s about to happen because you’re probably going to murder me but you know what it’s fine because you fed me a looottt today so if that’s the reason I’m going to die, it was sooooo worth it…” jess started; starting to ramble as she worked up the courage to say the next thing, “… and number two… I… love you Kai,” she whispered. “… and I know I’m putting a lot on you by saying that so you don’t have to say anything instead…” Jess continued, grabbing his hand and swinging the door open to the party where everyone screamed “surprise,” “Surprise Kai… and… happy birthday… and I should go change and not look like a mess.”
“I wonder if Sophie and Christian would get along. She’s your typical ten year old, if you get what I mean.” Marie said, laughing. “Well, I’d like to meet him too. Are you sure it’s ok if we come over without your parents being there?” Marie asked when Zion invited them over. “I don’t want to intrude, or anything…though I do like the idea of home cooked Mexican food. My parents would also love to meet you. Is this weekend ok?” Marie asked. She also noticed that they seemed to become uncomfortable when they said their parents were on vacation, but Marie didn’t want to overstep her boundaries by asking. @Caticorn - Zion
“Don’t do any more reading unless you need to Dan, and just don’t think about it or question it.” Jezebel had gone down the rabbit hole of research one night, and understood Daniel’s paleness as he was looking at the pamphlet. When the doctor said that the baby was a girl, Daniel had her check again, only to confirm again that the baby was a girl, leading Daniel to grumble as he sat back down. Jezebel couldn’t stop herself from laughing at her brother, though he attention was quickly brought back to the doctor. Though, she did still need to make sure to relax more and not stress too much, the doctor said she was doing good, and that the baby was healthy. Just knowing that the baby was healthy was a huge relief for her. With a picture of the baby in hand, she held it close, as Daniel helped her up and asked what she wanted to do. “As much as I’d love to go home for a nap, ice cream sounds better, and… I do need to see Jordan.”
“I will never understand… or underestimate the wonders of being a female; though I will thank whatever supernatural being made sure to give me a pen!s because that sh!t sounds painful - and then your periods too man… I could not,” Daniel admitted to the girl; his mind still unable to get that informative photo out of his mind. Just… why? Why the hell would anyone put their bodies through that for a screaming munchkin of evil. Dan would never. Honestly; Daniel with kids - it was a picture no one expected… let alone himself. Though it was just another reason that Dan was upset the baby was a girl… upset in a relative term of course. Yes sure, Dan was happy that the baby was healthy. BUT A GIRL? god damn it.
Despite that; Dan tried to not stress Jez out too much by complaining - though she had laughed at him earlier so she deserved to hear all the complaining in the world. Leading her to the car; Dan nodded when she explained she needed to see Jordan. Granted… Dan had revealed quite a big… thing that apparently Jordan himself hadn’t told her. So he understood the need to talk to the man. "Yeah… I get it. I’ll drive you to his apartment. And that he did; Driving the girl to the condo multiplex though dropping her off; he didn’t expect to see so many C High students heading inside. “Is there something I missed?” Dan questioned - opening his phone for the first time since being at the hospital. “Ah, party for… you know what, it doesn’t matter,” Dan explained before looking at the girl. “Do you want me to come up with you or stay here in the car? I don’t know how long you planned on this talk being,” Daniel teased; attempting to lighten the mood as he watched someone walk in. “Actually, that arse owes me something… call me when you’re ready to go, I’ll be dealing with… business,” Dan revealed; opening his door and helping her out.
When the two separated ways; Dan did as promised - went to the student who owed him and scared the living sh!t out of him. A usual for Daniel Parker - though, fun, nevertheless. Dan wasn’t planning on going to this party - but it was either go or wait for Jez in the car and Val was supposedly there so at least something could brighten up his day. Hence him making his way up to the top floor of the condo he was at only a few weeks prior. In a twist; he found the place decorated as good ol’ London and grinned before walking towards the bar and ordering a beer - not planning on getting drunk so he could drive Jez back safely.
Hearing Jordan’s voice reminded Sadie that he was there, seeing this, the part of her life that she never wanted anyone to know about. The part that was long gone and she had began to stop it from being in the back of her mind. All. The. Time. Now, not only was it back, but now it was in front of someone in the life she had made past it. Maybe part of her felt embarrassment, and she didn’t want to look back at him, in shame. But that quickly changed when Jordan appeared to identify the person, Sadie’s head turning, simultaneously with ‘Red’, towards him in surprise.
The bastard son. That’s what he referred to Jordan as. What did that mean? Well it could truly mean only one thing, but Sadie couldn’t quite believe that he was connected to the world that she had felt so trapped and alone in. While Red was here, Sadie didn’t move, in fear that anything would trigger a violent reaction from him. So as soon as the door slammed shut, Sadie immediately rushed over to him, despite him still being in the frozen state as they had both been in.
“Jordan I’m so sorry, I’m sorry, I thought it was over when— my brothers needed the mo— please don’t pay him, I’ll—“ Sadie tried to start a sentence, but every time she tried, she found something more important that needed saying. “I’ll do it this is my fault please, Jordan, don’t, I’m sorry,” She quickly said, her words almost inaudible from the speed. “How- how did you know him?” Sadie asked as her mind went back to him identifying, and though the answer to that had already been implied, Sadie didn’t want to start making assumptions.
