“Dorian, wait.”
As he turned away from her, ready to walk away and go on with his day like this never happened, her voice immediately made him stop. But he didn’t dare look at her again, until she… asked him to skip? It actually took him a couple of seconds to comprehend what she said. Skip first period? With the Delilah? This wasn’t how he thought their conversation would end. She was supposed to continue pretending nothing happened and he was supposed to just walk away… without her.
“And miss science?” Jokingly putting on a frown, he finally turned to face her again. Now he was the one not being sure of her intentions, but he was pleasantly surprised… Which didn’t stop him from trying to read her actions. Trying to understand where she was going with the question, what she could possibly gain from it. But maybe he just wanted to believe she was being as genuine as he was, so with a soft smile, he simply nodded. “Can’t say no to that. Come on then,” waiting for her to move so he doesn’t end up looking like a fool if she ended up not following him, he kept a smile on his face trying to cover his confusion of the situation even if he was the one being nice in the first place. But what was he supposed to do now, go, with her, where? “How fun. Just two friends skipping first period,” mumbling more to himself as they started walking towards the door, he could notice the looks they were getting from others around them, but since when is he the one that cares about that? “Do you want to make it two? I have English later and I’m not feeling like it,” chuckling, he looked at her with a pleading look, now holding the door open for her. “And have you ever played pool? Because I think that’s where we’re going.”
”They are siblings” Theo laughed ”twins even” he said in response to her question, it was funny in a way, that they were dating siblings, but it was also kinda cool. ”I don’t know too much I just noticed you were getting along pretty well at the fashion show” he said with a light shrug
**”ne sois pas nerveux, détends-toi” he said ”être comme, ‘There’s something I need to tell you’, sit, talk, and tell him” he said ”If he doesn’t take it well , you don’t need him in the first place” he added, switching from French to English like a flash as he tended to do quite a lot. Obviously, telling a guy you’re pregnant is not even close to being easy, neither is getting the news, but eventually it just has to happen, can’t hide forever when there’s a growing stomach in the process…
“Do you think they could have your name for their middle name? I know its dumb to ask, but your one of the closest people in my life and I think it would be nice if they had your name. Its totally fine if you say no too, I can always change it.” ”Ah bon?” he asked, raising his brow at the girl ”Of course! Yes definitely” he said with a smile and hugged the girl ”J’apprécie cela. beaucoup.” he added
”Speaking of close people, are you going to Kai’s party?” he asked after, since it was happening pretty soon
“I look forward to seeing what you come up with.” ”Only good things” he said while cooking. “He’s just worried about me…” ”I know” he said ”Can’t blame him, I’m also worried about you. I just want to like, sit and talk to him because I don’t want him to not trust me” he said ”I’ll do my best I promise” he said
He then finished cooking a short while later, breakfasts didn’t take long to make anyway. ”And… done” he said. Pulling out some bread from the bread thing, Andy set up the table and put the pan with the food on the table ”One time we were touring with the band, and went to visit Jake’s family because they were close” he said telling her the story ”I think you met Jake before, never mind, great guy. Anyway, we were at his parents’ house and his family are Jewish. So his mom taught me how to make shanshouka which is that,” he said pointing at the food ”kind of a Mediterranean food thing” he added finishing the story ”Hope you like” he smirked
”Probably the night. The charade has gone long enough” she added with a smirk
"I… I’ll tell you later… Tonight… okay?” ”Anytime” she said with a light smile l’m digging my hair today, might even keep it like that for the party” she added with a chuckle ”Maybe not”
They went on and did things, bought stuff ordered stuff, made a cake. It was a very productive day, not to mention fun. She missed spending time with cc doing stuff, it never got tiring.
While the cake was ready and set on the table, Chris the (hot) bartender had just showed up to which Valerie came up with a hug and a smile, him being an old friend of hers.
Cc then came and took her attention, “I think, Val, you out did yourself today,” She said, ”Awe thank you c” she said to the statement which made Valerie smile as she looked around, it was indeed looking pretty good, almost everything was set, and the only thing they had to do, as cc stated, was change. ”Definitely underdressed” she said and the two went on to change, before everything started.
“Yeah. They don’t mind if we have friends over when they’re not home.” They reassured her with a smile. “As long as we clean up after ourselves and everything is where it’s supposed to be, we’re good.” They momentarily wondered if they should check with their brother before they invited people over, but they figured that having people in the house besides the two of them might be good for both of them. “Yeah, this weekend works! I don’t have any plans, so if you want to talk to your parents and figure out a time, I’ll plan a menu and make sure I go shopping.” They set a reminder on their phone and sent a quick text to their brother to give him a heads up before looking back up at Marie.
Marie nodded when Zion explained that their parents didn’t mind if they had people over, as long as they cleaned up. “Ok, that makes sense.” When Zion asked about a time, Marie thought for a second. “How about Saturday? Sophie has a volleyball game in the afternoon, but we can set up a time for the evening.” They suggested, smiling. She pulled out her phone just as Zion did, setting a reminder to tell their parents about it. “This is going to be fun!” @Caticorn - Zion
She wasn’t too sure why she asked Dorian to skip with her. Maybe Delilah wanted to stay with him long enough to find the crack in what might be an act, and then she wouldn’t make the mistake of telling him things. Maybe she believed him and wanted to tell him those things. Maybe she just wanted to miss science. Whatever it was, part of her had a feeling she would regret asking, perhaps they were supposed to go their separate ways right now and never speak of this. But Delilah was changing that, and whether or not that was going to be a good thing she was about to find out. Besides, people who dislike each other can still skip a class together.
After a moment of waiting for a response, Dorian finally gave a joking reply, that didn’t sound like he hated the thought of doing that. So was this hint towards genuineness? Whether or not it was, it still wasn’t enough to come to any conclusion yet. “That is the sacrifice that would have to be made,” Delilah replied with a shrug, before catching up to walk beside him despite the rumours that may be creating. She looked in surprise as he asked about skipping English as well. Either this was a really good act or maybe he was just being real, whichever it was she nodded in agreement, because people who dislike each other can still skip two classes together… right?
“I have played enough times to be able to keep up my ongoing winning streak,” Delilah replied, confidently, her competitive trait shining through as she walked through the open door and turned to him. “Have you? I can’t imagine enough times to win right now,” She said, raising her eyebrows and smiling.
Jezebel smiled at Daniel, laughing a little at him. It was good for him that he was a guy and didn’t have to deal with everything about being a girl. He wouldn’t be able to handle it well. Though, that didn’t change the fact that Daniel had to deal with having a niece instead of a nephew. He had to deal with a kid being around, even if she was a girl and harder for him to understand how to deal with. Soon, Daniel drove them to the building where Jordan lived, and Kai as well, where there was a party going on. They both ended up going inside, due to Daniel having someone to deal with. First Jezebel tried going to Jordan’s, but he wasn’t there, so she made her way up to the party. Since she had promised Jess that she’d come by for a couple minutes, have a mocktail. Maybe Jordan would even be there. Though, what she hadn’t planned on, was running into Riker.
She nodded as he told her what to say. Maddy always had a little anxiety over talking to people about something serious. It usually meant she did something to distract herself from how anxious she was feeling, tending to bite her nails or even chew the inside of her cheek. “Okay… thank you” She smiled slightly. “I have a feeling he will be… he’s really understanding” She gave a little nod. Obviously it wasn’t going to be an easy conversation, especially since he wasnt the father and if he didn’t want anything to do with it. That was something Maddy understood, she needed to respect his decision if he didn’t want anything to do with it. She couldn’t hide it forever, it would only be a few more weeks until she really started to show.
Soon the nervous expression on her face was wiped away as he spoke. “Really?” her eyes lit up, happy that he was excited about it. “It means a lot to me” She smiled.
Oh crap. “Yeah yeah I am. I need to go home and get dressed, obviously this attire is not appropriate for a party” she glanced down at the flowy skirt and bigish t-shirt. “I… don’t have a gift for him. What would he even want? Oh no” Okay so maybe Maddy forgot about his birthday… it was hard to remember when so much is going on in your life. First Elodies birthday, which her gift she made the day before… and now…
“You go put some clothes on. Anddd then I need to head home to change, and I’ll see you at the party?”
Jordan wiped the blood dripping from his face as he looked at Sadie; the worry clear in his eyes. He knew red - the man didn’t stop when he got his money. He always wanted… more. Red was one of the more violent people that used to work for his father; if the slits on his neck didn’t show that, the unsolved murders in beryl should. So despite Sadie talking; Jordan caressed her cheek while taking his phone out - calling his lawyer and manager. “I need 400,000.00$ in cash by 7 pm…” Jordan spoke into the phone. His lawyer knew about his dad’s dirty dealings so saying those words were no surprise to him; nor his manager. After a few words exchanged, they said they’d get the cash together and hand it to Jordan within a few hours. Again, he knew red. He knew the 300,000.00$ wouldn’t be enough for him. It was greed; it always was. But an extra 100,000.00 might keep him at bay… along with the cops that his manager was tying in. The money would be marked by the government allowing them to trace the trade. It would make sure he was clear but the money could be followed to take Red down… the whole damn organization if he could. But Jordan also knew it was bigger than him… bigger than his dad - though that he could do nothing about.
“Sadie…stop…” He whispered, looking her in the eyes. “I don’t need to know why it happened, it’s okay. I’ll deal with it. If you don’t pay him; he will hurt you and I’m not going to let anything happen to you,” he mumbled, pulling her in for a hug. Part of him hated being pulled back into this life. But he wouldn’t let Sadie get trapped in that world… it wasn’t a world anyone should ever be stuck in. A sigh escaped his lips as the man asked how he knew him and he gave her a soft frown as he pulled away. “My dad… Jesse… used to run all of that. Their gang of… you know, it doesn’t matter. But apparently, since my dad died; they just found someone else to run operations,” Jordan sighed. “I need you to promise me you won’t tell anyone about all of this… you’ll only put yourself in danger. They’re not good people Sadie,” he muttered; finally pulling away.
“I say keep,” Candice said pointing at the wig. “Being blonde is a mood” she continued with a soft smile. She appreciated the girl giving her a moment to tell her… it just… how do you come out and say Hey friend, I have a kid. Wazzup? it really wasn’t… a normal conversation. And perhaps part of the reason was that Candice enjoyed how Val and she were. Their normal selves and this would… change that.
So instead; C kept on her features of nonchalance and helped with the party. And soon it was done. People had started coming in; the dj, the bartender, the guests. It was almost nostalgic of how things used to be with C and Val. “That cake looks absolutely delicious by the way,” the girl added as the two walked towards the closet where they had bought new outfits to change into. Though as CC found herself changed; she gave Val a look. “Valerie… I have a kid…” she let out finally. “Remember that summer where I was doing that modeling shoot and it led into the school year so I didn’t get back until about 2 months into junior year?” C asked… “I face timed you every day… I…” Candice let out, trying to figure out how to word it… “I was pregnant… and I went into labor…”
Seeing her nod to his suggestion brought a soft smile to his lips, because he for once didn’t mind skipping school and not because he was happy to spend some extra time with her… that would just be weird. Yup, that was why. As much as he actually didn’t care about school, he had to keep his grades up and do well if he wanted to get a good sports scholarship and do what he really wants, but he can have some fun once in a while. And spend that free time with someone he wouldn’t often be seen with… or maybe he actually wanted to know what was happening in Delilah’s interesting life.
“You have?” Surprised by her answer, he just stood there still holding the door with a cheeky smile as she exited the building. He expected a weird look from her or snarky comment, questioning why she ever even asked him to skip with her… anything but mentioning her ongoing winning streak. Okay, interesting life it is. “And have I?” Repeating after her, he slowly walked over to her with raised eyebrows and a smile that matched hers. “Don’t smile at me, and don’t think about winning because that’s not happening. No more winning streaks,” lightly shrugging his shoulders, a smile was still on his lips as he just kept his gaze on her before adding “Sorry,” and walking past her towards the parking lot. Being the first one to reach his car and a gentleman he always is, he opened the door for her once again. “I might let you win once, but we’ll see… Or are you second guessing this?” Jokingly asking and referring to leaving with him, he leaned against his car with a little mischievous smile.
”definitely a mood” she chuckled as deciding to keep the wig. "That cake looks absolutely delicious by the way,” Valerie glanced at the cake and smiled, it definitely came out pretty, hopefully it was also tasty ”gotta love cake” she said ”Thanks tho. It was fun to make” she added
The two then went off to change, and after putting on her dress Valerie looked in the mirror fixing her wig and all, when Candice turned to look at her and told her one thing she definitely did not expect, she had a kid. ”A kid?” she repeated in a questioning surprised tone, raising her brow as listening to the girl explain ”Oh my god” she mumbled, mostly just in shock ”Who’s… where is it- Him/her…?” she asked, trying to build the story in her mind ”God, C, you’re a mother.” she then said, and pulled the girl in a hug
Overall, it had been a good day. Okay, look. Maybe Riker skipped school… again. Oops. But technically he already finished all his credits when he was doing online schooling. So he was going to graduate anyway… maybe with a few F’s on his transcript but hey; Riker did have an A in surfing. Alright fine. Elo would be disappointed… he knew that. Maybe that’s the only reason he hadn’t… well… told her that he had been skipping that much; despite her noticing his absence in school. But what was the point? Everything Riker wanted to do didn’t require a high school or college diploma. It involved enjoying life. And that was exactly what he was doing.
Riker got back to his apartment; placing his surfboard on the side as he took a shower in the empty apartment. It was hard not to hear the noise from upstairs and Riker knew it was coming from the party invitation he had gotten for Kai’s birthday. He had already gotten the man a present… even though Kai wasn’t one to brag about it being his birthday, Riker knew over his time in New York when he knew the man.
Changing his clothes; the man grabbed the present off the counter and ran towards the elevator with a “hold it open please,” though when he entered the space - a frown met his features when he noticed who was inside. Jezebel Sloane. “You have to be kidding me,” he sighed; letting the elevator door close. Though it soon hit him that there was a reason she was on this floor and not the one above - which prompted him to hit the stop button on the elevator; trapping them both inside for a moment. “You were here to see Jordan, weren’t you? For god’s sake, Jezebel, leave him alone. He doesn’t need your drama… let alone your pregnancy drama,” Riker muttered. He needed to protect Jordan and the one thing he knew was Jezebel Sloane was only going to drag him down. “He’s better off without you Jez… I’m not trying to be, I’m trying to be honest. Jordan keeps bending over backward for you. Ruining his morals… for you. And from where I’m sitting, it’s obvious that you don’t deserve him… so for god’s sake can you just leave him alone and go back to whoever put that baby in you?”
“Yes… a kid… I didn’t even know he was alive until Delilah came to see me while… while I was dead,” Candice added; placing her head in her hands. “My mom said I miscarried… but she lied,” a soft frown met her lips; though she hugged Valerie tightly. “He’s… he’s still with my mom. I have lawyers fighting her for custody but she’s saying that I’m mentally insane for faking my death…” It hurt. It hurt that after all Lily-Ann Collins had done, that she could still hurt CC this much. Her baby… she wanted to be with him but the monster… the moment she had found out she was alive had moved him somewhere else so Delilah couldn’t even take him. So here she was - fighting for custody of a child she didn’t know existed.
“There’s… Valerie, there’s something else,” Candice started looking at her friend… there were now tears in her eyes as she looked at her. “The baby… my mom told me to sleep with someone to make sure I got pregnant and I just… I wanted her to look at me like she cared so I did. I purposefully slept with him but… It was a mistake.” Candice whispered; hugging her chest. “I don’t regret my baby but… Valerie… he’s…” a frown met her lips. “He’s Kai’s son,”
@CerealKiller - this had to be revealed sooner or later man
“Yeah, Saturday evening should be good. Honestly, come over at whatever time you want.” They told her, putting their phone in their pocket. They smiled as she said it was going to be fun. “Yeah, it’s going to fun.” They agreed, nodding. “Is anyone in your family allergic to anything?” They asked her, wanting to know before they planned what they were going to make. The last thing they wanted was to ruin the night by feeding a member of Marie’s family something they were allergic to.
”You had a kid, you didn’t know, you faked your death, Delilah came to dead you in Italy…? and told you you have a kid?” she summarised the story in a lowkey confused yet understanding tone, trying to understand what kind of soap opera was going on there. ”Bloody Lily Ann I hate that b!tch so much” she muttered at the next part of the story, and sighed shaking her head, looking at the girl as she mentioned there was something else ”What is it?” she asked, and the last thing she ever expected was the thing she had heard ”HES WHAT???” she stared at her as her eyes widened in shock ”Kai has a son- I- does he know??” she asked
It was a normal day, like any other - wake up, go to school, sit through all the classes and then go home. Well, it started off as a normal day before she received a dm she was dreading, right before the end of her last class. She was never good at lying or hiding things, hiding she was disappointed in someone. Yes, she would never tell you something is wrong but you could clearly see it. So it wasn’t a surprise Kara messaged her asking what was happening with her. It was hard but Elodie has been ignoring her friend for some time, or just waiting for her to say something, figure out what she did wrong but she obviously never did. Didn’t even know she messed up. It was clear in her messages and Elodie wasn’t planning on telling her anything. She wasn’t planning on fighting with her… she was just never like that. Give her some time and she’ll come back to you as if nothing happened. But that whole conversation did ruin her day. Normal day turned into a really bad one.
Not even Kai’s party could save it. A party she found out about last minute because she’s been trying to stay away from her phone and the negativity. As much as she wasn’t in the mood for it, it was a perfect opportunity to just let loose and not think about her problems. Spending way to much time on getting ready, she rushed to the nearest mall to get a little expensive gift before making her way to his apartment.
Whoever decorated the place did a good but… questionable job? It was cute, yes, the whole London vibe was quiet nice but she didn’t pay that much attention to it. Leaving her gift to the side, she went straight to the bar, greeting the bartender with a sweet smile. “It’s starting to get a bit crowded in here, isn’t it?” Pushing her hair behind her shoulders, she rested her elbows on the counter, keeping the smile on. “Give me… just surprise me. Whatever you think it’s good.” Giggling quietly, she looked away at all the familiar faces. Getting drunk wasn’t her priority, she never really liked that and she wasn’t planning on doing it tonight but one drink can’t hurt.
Her continuous stream of thought was drowned out by Jordan getting out his phone and calling someone about the money. Sadie took his free hand, holding onto it with both of hers, shaking her head slightly from being against the idea of him doing this. But, really, Sadie had no other option. Well, no safer option. Sadie had genuinely thought she was done when she heard the leader of the organisation had died, and she had began to even forget the time where selling drugs were part of her daily routine. But clearly, as she had been the entire time, Sadie was naive to think she would be completely out of it.
As he put down the phone and looked at her, Sadie immediately felt guilt and worry. She found it almost impossible to imagine Jordan not hating her now. But somehow, he didn’t and so when he pulled her in for a hug, she almost instantly broke down, clinging onto him with continuous apologies between sharp inhales. Sadie hid her complete surprise when he revealed that it was his father that ran the whole thing, “Yeah, yeah, I promise, I won’t, no one will know,” She said, the first thing other than ‘I’m sorry’ coming from her, not knowing how to reply to the part about his dad for now. “Jordan I-I want to hel- you can’t go- I can’t let you go back into this on your own,” Sadie stammered, coming out as an almost inaudible whisper.
“… basically the gist of it,” she told Valerie with a frown. “Technically Delilah didn’t know he was mine; all she knew was there was a 1-year-old in Lily-Ann’s household but we put some pieces together and… he does look like me,” C smiled softly. She agreed with the girl with her “hatred” of Lily-Ann; she truly had a way of making her hate her even more.
Candice frowned slightly wit the scream of the girl… her mind going back to the party her mom had taken her to. The woman simply pointed towards a man and told Candice to go sleep with him; but the hidden intention clear. She told her not to use a condom. And Candice did; she flirted with him, the two got high, went to the roof of the party and did what her mother had wanted. And then there she was, pregnant. A man she never thought she would see again until… well until she realized he was Valerie’s cousin… an awkward meeting a few months later after her loss. Though Candice never said anything; kept her smile on. There was nothing to say - c never had the baby. At least… she thought she didn’t. She was told the baby had died.
“He… doesn’t… not yet… honestly I didn’t know he was still alive until a month ago… I don’t even know how to go about telling him. And sh!t, it’s his birthday. I can’t… tell him today.”
