Jezebel Mallory Parker

Jezebel nodded slightly listening to Daniel’s mention of the difference in movement between Anna and Jess. “She was already there when I sat down, and she seemed off, but I don’t know Anna enough to know how off until she stood up.” They may be Jezebel’s cousins, but she really hadn’t spent that much time around Anna. In many ways, she was still a stranger to her, not much more than the girl who shares Jess’s face. “How did she…?” Jezebel muttered, confused as to how Jess actually left the hospital, without anyone stopping her or knowing she was coming to the wedding. Jezebel sighed, shaking her head as Daniel asked her if Jess had said anything. “She didn’t say anything about it yesterday. I had no idea she would come today. All we talked about was really that neither of us really thought we’d come today, and she asked where you were, which must have been because she knew you would know it was her.” She frowned slightly as Daniel apologized for adding to some of her stress. “It’s… it’s fine Dan.” Jezebel let out a small sigh as Daniel pulled up the video feed of Laurel, who for her size and condition she was doing well. “I don’t like being this far from her… how weak she is scares the hell out of me, but steady is good. Steady is really good.”

She laughed slightly and nodded,”I’m glad you agree because royals do tend to be kind of boring.” She joked around before speaking once again,”Let’s just hope Kai keeps being… well himself.” Mare wasn’t very close with Kai, but the are… well friends.

Being in his arms brought so much comfort to her. If she could just stay there forever she would, but she can’t. So she very reluctantly pulled away. They had more stuff to talk about and the ceremony was soon to start too. Mareena started to play with the strands that framed her face as she thought. What about? Everything. Which did tend to be a lot of things considering so much that’s happening right now. She was already grinning yet he made it grow much more with very few words. ”How did i get so lucky to have you.” She has never heard those words been said to her. Yes, others may have said something similar, but it didn’t have the same effect. It’s amazing how much one could care for another, for her. “I- Thank you for being my Moon.” She told him. He may not know what that means but he was her moon. The one that lit up the darkness for her and showed her a path. He spoke once again, but in french this time. She has learned quite a bit from him over the years… and she may have taken some lessons,” Je t’aime davantage.”

Her decision. Did she want to tell anyone? Of course, but not everyone at least right now. “Hmm, can we only tell the people close to us?” She suggested with a soft smile. That would do. She nodded with a small laugh. “Yes, must tell siblings. Elias would probably get a gut feeling somehow. Plus I love Celine so.” Celine was quite the girl. Honestly Mare can’t wait to see everyone’s reactions, but slowly.

Ria Azure

Once Ria had let Raphael know she was going to play, the young boy grabbed her hand, and his sister’s hand, then started running. It was simple for the three of them to run, weaving through to dodge the many people there. They were among the few, if not the only, children there, so all they had to entertain themselves was each other. With the boy at the lead, the three young children found themselves in a grand library. That in itself was a unique sight, but the most interesting sight of all was the adorable dog in the center of the room. Like the other girl, Ria would have also found herself running over to see the pup, but the boy had distracted her by telling her his name. She smiled brightly as he told her that his name was will, and the other girl was his sister Emmy. ‘I’m Ria.” The young blonde introduced herself, though she didn’t have a chance to act further in any way before he tagged her and ran off. She immediately turned and chased after him. “Hey! That’s not fair, I wasn’t ready!” She called out, having been surprised by the sudden game of tag.

Will Perspective:

“CATCH US IF YOU CAN RIAAAA,”

Will screamed as he ran as fast as his little legs would take him. As a kid - it seemed, at times, like the littlest of things could be the most important. They were in their own bubble. A bubble away from the troubles of adults. All they cared about was not being caught in the simple game of tag. They were distant from the lives of those in the other room; from a man marrying someone he didn’t love. From a woman who had her heart torn one too many times. From another finding love; a ring laying in his pocket as he prepared to ask the girl he loved to marry him. Or perhaps even the budding friendship of two ex-lovers. None of that mattered in the room they were in. What did matter, however, was the chase. The way the pretty little girl with blonde hair chased him. As they ran; the dog found excitement in their playfulness - running alongside them as Will dodged the girl under a table.

In reality; doesn’t everyone wish they could go back to this moment. This pure innocence. A few of the participants outside likely did. As children; many want to grow up. As adults, many wish they could go back. Why must someone always want something they can’t get? And why was this simple game be so fun? Though after a few moments; Ria had cornered poor Will against a dead end with a stack of books on every side. And… no matter what Will tried; there was no way to escape. Though that didn’t mean Will didn’t try to duck under her hand. Though as he did; the dog found its way by them and in a fit of laughter - William Pierce fell on his back - letting the dog tackle him.

“I like you Ria,” Will said after a few moments, petting the dog as his sister came next to the two playing with the dog once again. “You’re pretty,” he stated with very child-like ease. After, it was always easier for children to say simply what came to mind. Though as they played with the dog; William heard the door to the room opening and someone shouting “WILLIAM AND EMILIA PIERCE, COME HERE THIS INSTANT,” a frown meeting their lips as he looked at Ria with a sad look. “Those are our dog watc…watchers,” Will mumbled; frustrated that they had to stop playing. It was apparent that the two aids weren’t happy as the moment they approached the three - they roughly grabbed both Emmy and Will’s arms. Soon after Will and Emmy’s aids came in; a butler looking man came in to look towards Ria. “Miss, you’re needed. The wedding is starting and we need you to start throwing flowers,” the man said - and soon all three kids were being pulled out of the library.

Despite this; soon enough as they were walking - William muttered a “I need to go to the looooooo,” in a begging tone; seeing the annoyed expression on his aid - though the moment they let him go - little William Pierce ran off with a burst of speed. Though slowed down when he heard something - and no, not his aid yelling for him. Rather it sounded like crying…

Walking towards the sound; the little boy looked to see his big sister against the wall, her head in her lap as she cried. “Jessie,” he muttered, confused. He had never seen his sister like that… sad. She was never sad. The moment he said her name; she looked up - immediately wiping her red eyes. It was at that point that the aid finally caught up with him - though Will had already gone over to his sister and wrapped his little hands around her. A soft whisper of “why are you sad Jessie?” coming out of his lips; though instead of answering the girl just smiled, kissed him on the forehead, and continued to hug him. Perhaps Kids did know a little bit about situations; because at that moment - William immediately became quiet and just hugged his sister.

“What?.. no, I can’t I…”

A soft smile met Riker’s lips as he looked towards the girl. “Come on, Sadie. Live a little. None of those Royals will notice a dress missing; and it’s going towards a good cause anyways. Aren’t royals all about donating or whatever?” he questioned jokingly; handing her the… probably very expensive dress though Riker paid no attention to that as he leaned against the wall. “It suits you well,” Riker explained - pointing towards the small divider in the edge of the room. “Or there’s like… another 100 dresses you can choose from,” Riker said - pointing towards the filled room. Honestly, Riker liked Sadie. She seemed sweet… someone that Jordan deserved unlike that… god-awful Jezebel.

Raising his eyebrow; he listened as she explained that the Elena chick was targeting her because she kissed Dorian during the camping trip. Though what was interesting was the fact that the girl defended herself against something she didn’t need to defend herself against. “Sadie,” he laughed. He could read her like the cover of any book; her emotions were clear on her face. “That’s honestly not my business. And you kissing someone shouldn’t make that girl act like a total ass towards you,” Riker stated. “Also… I don’t know if you know this Saidie… but you didn’t start dating Jordan until way after the camping trip,” he laughed slightly.

“How…” Riker started, scratching his head ever so slightly trying to figure out how to word the next part. “How are you feeling by the way? I… can’t say I’ve ever been stabbed but from seeing how Jessica can’t even walk yet I’m guessing it’s… not fun?” he questioned. Jordan… alongside the 9 o’clock morning news had revealed to everyone what had happened a month and a half ago. “I hope Jordan’s been treating you right? If not I can give him a good wack over the head if that works?” he added; trying to ease her tension.

“Ahh yes… Jess can fake a lot but an injury she can’t exactly hide,” he mumbled with a frustrated sigh, looking behind his shoulder again; trying to see if he could find her. Why did she always do anything she could do to worry the hell out of him? Honestly. It seemed like every single damn thing she did - it was just to freak him out. He sighed as Jez asked how she did so and shrugged. “If Jessica wants something; she knows how to get it,” Dan stated. It was honestly one of the things he admired about his cousin. But at the moment… all he wanted was for her to be safe in a hospital bed surrounded by nurses and doctors and, maybe, JUST MAYBE not wearing heels. God bloody damn it.

Another sigh escaped his lips when Jez told him what they talked about. “Yeah… she knows I would have chewed her out the moment I saw her… Which I’m still planning on doing when that arse stops giving me a look because the damn wedding I don’t care about is about to start,” he sighed; though as the conversation moved over to laurel - his frown grew. He knew she wasn’t happy about his directive of prioritizing her over her daughter. But he did what he knew was right. “I know Jez… but you can’t spend the next three months right next to her in the NICU. You had to get out sooner or later,” Dan sighed. It was true… perhaps part of Dan was trying to prepare Jez for life without having a daughter… because of how it was looking… the little girl probably wouldn’t survive. But that was just a guess from Dan. He had done the research… the survival rate was exponentially low for babies in the girl’s condition.

“Have you decided what’s after graduation yet? I know dad offered you that internship position with Parker Industries. Are you going to take it?” Dan asked… partly to distract her from the phone… and partly to distract himself.

”I’m glad you agree because royals do tend to be kind of boring. Let’s just hope Kai keeps being… well himself.”
Theodore nodded a bit as she spoke, agreeing on the first part, as well as the part about Kai, the two were friends after all, Theo liked Kai, the two were friends and he even had the honor of being one of his groomsmen. And maybe royals tended to be boring… but in Theo’s eyes it was better than Jessica.

“I- Thank you for being my Moon.”
“moon?” he asked, slightly confused though he assumed it was a good thing since it started with a thank you. "Je t’aime davantage.” she said in response to his own french words and made him smile “french suits you quite well” he said with a light smile “Kinda hot” he added with a small playful chuckle and gave her a short kiss

“Hmm, can we only tell the people close to us? Yes, must tell siblings. Elias would probably get a gut feeling somehow. Plus I love Celine so.” she said, to which he nodded in a respectful agreement, respecting her decision. “Yes, if that’s what you want” he said and look her hand placing a soft kiss on it “We have nowhere to rush” he added, "Well maybe except for the ceremony we don’t want to miss. but otherwise, nowhere to run
"
he added with a small laugh.

moments later the door opened and Celine barged through it in her green dress, in an all combat vibe in her eyes “What happened” she asked “What’s the emergency” she added while looking around the room and seeing nothing but Theo and Mare, so needless to say she was a bit confused as for why her brother emergency signalled her to show up. “No emergency it was just easier than finding you on my own” he laughed at his sister’s extreme reaction
“You little shi-” she muttered and hit his arm “Hey by the way, if you ever need therapy to help you handle my brother let me know I have recommendations” she added turning to Mare as she spoke, “Or a hitman”

Theo turned to look at mareena, raising a brow at the girl in front of him “Do you want to tell her or should I?”

As Andy left Elo, he actually did go to the bathroom as he told her. Andy was never the type of guy to be nervous over something he wanted to do, he just did them, no being nervous before and no regretting them after. But this… this was different. This was a whole new territory for him, it was a place in his life he was never in, and no I’m not talking about the castle. I’m talking about the fact that Andy Wild Child Rocker Boy Tattooed Tall Ass Nugget McAllister was in a place in his life where he had this girl he loved, a child on the way, and for once in his life, he actually wanted to settle down and be an adult. Live together, make memories, and a family too.

So as he finished relaxing and freshening up in the bathroom, Andy went back out and looked around again trying to find the girl he loved so much. “Hey beautiful” he said softly planting a kiss on her lips as he found her standing there, as beautiful as ever. “Do you have a moment? there’s something I want to tell you” he asked

Maverick Weston

Maverick smiled in response to Yara. He knew dancing was not only a strength of hers, but it was something she loved. Maverick on the other hand thought it was alright. Watching someone, like Yara, dance was one thing, but being the one on the dance floor was another. He wasn’t a hopeless case, but he’d never be at her level. Most likely slightly better than average at best, with practicing with someone like her. Yara then twirled, leading to her placement of her arms on his shoulders, looking up at him. Though, what she did next, Maverick never would’ve expected. She kissed him. Yara Williams, the girl he had been friends with since they were kids, the girl he wanted nothing more than to go on a date with freshman year, the girl he truly thought had him friend zoned, who he knew was out of his league. He was shocked, he didn’t know what to think or say. He didn’t really get to react, but with her lips on his, what reaction there was from Maverick, consisted of him not pushing her away.

@CerealKiller - Well, I didn’t really know what to say, and Mav didn’t really have much of an idea of something to say either, so… sorry for the lack of dialogue there…

Ketziah had been on her own, just standing there taking a glance at the room around her as someone came up to her. Not just anyone of course, but Andy. There wasn’t a way to hide her smile even if she tried when he walked up to her. “Hey handsome.” Ketziah responded with before kissing him back. Though, he then asked her if she had a moment, and that he wanted to tell her something, but he wasn’t just outright saying it directly, which was unexpected. “Yeah?” She said with a slight questioning tone. “I’ve got a moment, what’s up?”

He nodded with a slight laugh and put his hands into the pockets on his pants. Elias started to walk ahead, he had gotten a few feet ahead of her before turning around as he heard her voice to see she hadn’t even moved yet. Along with being almost in tears,”Hey, are you okay?” He asked. It was almost rhetorical because he could obviously see she wasn’t. He only moved a few steps toward her for the time being as he waited for her answer.

“Well of course only for you.” He winked teasingly. It was nice and luckily she hadn’t stepped on his feet yet it wouldn’t have mattered anyways. “You’re holding onto me quite good, but this is only basic ballroom dancing or whatever people like to call it. But…” He spoke before moving her hand onto his shoulder and her other in his hand. Also moving his to the back of her waist, bring them closer. “Like such then just follow my lead.” He spoke softly as his mouth was near her ear. Then started to lead her around as they danced as best as they could. He was rusty and she was new, but they did make a good pair. “Easier? because you do seem to be improving slightly.” He teased, chuckling lightly under his breath.

She could barely say anything, just nodding her head when he asked if she was okay. It wasn’t often that the flashbacks hit, usually only when she was trying to sleep, which is why she didn’t sleep well often. “Yeah no its okay…” She whispered. It wont happen again, it’s over now. Everything’s fine. Her arms wrapped around her body as she began to take a few steps forward. The tears she was holding onto slipped out, rolling down her cheek.

“Why thank you, love” She spoke, emphasizing her accent even more than it already was. He moved her hands to a different position, her stomach turning when their hands touched again. Sometimes she felt like a teenager again, getting all flustered over a boy. As he brought his head near her ear and spoke a shiver went down her neck. She nodded and moved her feet again as he lead her around the room. “A little, this is really fun” She smiled, looking into his eyes. Although a wedding that she should probably be sitting in the main room for was about to go on, she was here dancing with Elias. Maddy knew that Kai wasn’t happy and she would much rather see him marrying someone else, but when it comes to family, I guess there isn’t much you can do. “Thank you”

They chuckled with Ruby as she commented on her outfit. “Yeah, I get that. You look cute, though.” They complimented her. “I’m okay. Things have been a little hectic recently, but I can handle it.” They said, responding to her question. When she showed them a picture of a pink dress, they lifted their hand to their face, stifling a laugh. The dress seemed completely opposite to Ruby’s personality and they really couldn’t imagine her wearing it. “Okay, that one is definitely worse than the one you’re wearing.”

“Yeah? I’ve got a moment, what’s up?”

She responded to his question, with a tone that showed she was surprised. And to be fair it was quite unlike him to do that, usually, he’d just say what he wanted to say… but not this time. This time was different.
”Not here” he said and took her hand, leading them away from the crowds and into a beautiful royal garden with a fountain and blooming plants. guess there are perks for being in a castle.

Andy let go of the girl’s hand and turned to face her “So there’s something on my mind for quite a while now, and I thought maybe I should run it by you and see what you think.” he said, trying to lighten his own mood as his heart was beating like a million mph, “I’ll just go, because I’m nervous as hell and I don’t know how to handle being nervous” he said, nervously running a hand through his hair with a deep breath

“You see, the thing is, I love you. I really fcuking love you K, and to be honest, I don’t want to imagine a life without you.” he started, the fact that he in fact actually did have to imagine a life without his potentially dying girlfriend even if he didn’t want to completely escaping his mind. Because frankly, Andy didn’t see it as if he had only a short time with her, he had hope, he just wanted to believe they had all these many years to live and take on this crazy journey, together though everything, every storm that came along, sickness, health, rich, poor, pain, happiness… till death does them part.

“We haven’t even been together for that long, but it feels to me like we’ve been together for years. I love every moment of having you in my life, and I don’t want to lose that. I want to spend whatever time we have left, with you, with this child on the way… We’re going to be a family. Dammit K, you’re already my family, my home… my muse” he added, his deep blue eyes fixed on her own in a piercing yet loving gaze.

“I don’t need anything more in my life, I just want you. I want to be there for you any damn step of the way and do everything I possibly can to make sure you’re happy and safe. I just want to keep loving you, wake up with you in the morning and having you by my side because honestly, it can’t get much better than that. I love you, I really don’t think I say that enough, but I do love you. I love you with every part of me and it only grows stronger with every day that passes with you in my life” he told her, taking a deep breath as his hand reached towards his pocket, going down on one knee, Andy pulled out a little black box, a ring inside it, purple, just like she liked, as he looked the girl he loved in the eyes, “I’m already the luckiest man alive, but still, will you marry me?

Kai watched carefully for Jess’s reaction to his plea. All he wanted was for her to say yes. Technically, neither of them could really run away, but that didn’t matter, Kai only wanted to leave with Jess. Jessica Pierce was one of two people he struggled with getting a read on and could never truly know what they would do, the other being his sister, so he stood there, just hoping with every part of his heart that she would say yes. At that moment, she stepped forward, bringing her arms around him tightly. His arms immediately went around her, holding her secure, but not tightly to avoid hurting her, or himself as well, even more. The pain of the tight hug, couldn’t have mattered less at that moment. That moment which seemed to last forever, which Kai wished could have lasted even longer. Their arms back around each other, holding each other close, just like when everything was good, when he was falling in love with her. When he was with her, there were no walls, and even if it was something he never planned, he had fallen completely, head over heels in love with her, and he never wanted to let her go. He was the happiest around her. She had become everything he wanted most in the world. Him and her, that was all he needed. Her arms around him, the smell of her hair, her head at his shoulder, everything, it was her, it was everything about the girl he loved and he never wanted to let her go. Then, as her hands ran through his hair, and she pulled him even closer, their lips met. Be it the moment and his plea for her to leave with him, how long it had been since they had last kissed, or just her and the way she made him feel, but the kiss, even just the sight of her, was intoxicating. Everything about her had him completely at her mercy. She had his heart, the fate of his heart was in her hands and soon the words came that shattered it. “Please Jess… I love you… it doesn’t have to be like this…” Kai watched her closely as she took a simple silver band off of her thumb, and placed the ring onto his pinky finger. She was right, he didn’t understand. She was telling him that she wanted to run away with him, but she couldn’t. She couldn’t be with him. Every word said between the two of them, broke him piece by piece. Jess then brought his head down, kissing him on the forehead, then turning away and walking out the door. “Jess…” he said, not wanting her to go, but she was already gone. It all started for them in a bathroom, that day she walked in the wrong door, where he asked her out on that first date. That date where they snuck into a wedding of all things, where they lied to the actual guests by saying she was his fiancé, where she started calling him Mr. Kingsley. If only that could have been what was real. Not this. Not how he really was engaged, but not to Jess, instead to a princess he was about to marry, making him a future king. Once again in a bathroom with Jess, but this time, her leaving and breaking his heart. He didn’t know how long he had been in there with Jess. He figured he was already late for his own wedding, but he didn’t care. Nothing really mattered at that moment. The best part of his life just walked out that door, and there was nothing he could even do about it. What was he supposed to do… what could he even do… He remained in that bathroom another few minutes, lost in thought, going over that time with Jess, everything leading up to it, everything he loved about her, but then to how there was probably a significant amount of security searching for him, because this was his wedding. A wedding he never wanted, but was forced upon him. He was getting married, when all he wanted was to be with the girl he loved. “F**k…” he muttered in anger, looking in the mirror and running his hands through his already tousled hair. Anger towards the situation, towards Elettra, towards his parents, and towards himself. The anger and the pain, had to be let out in some form as he tried to see some idea of what he should do, which lead to the way his right hand slammed down against the countertop of the bathroom sink. He could hear the crack, but it didn’t make any difference. It just added more physical pain he already felt, which still couldn’t add up to the pain of a broken heart. By the time he finally pulled himself out of the bathroom, having pulled himself together just enough to keep from having the entire world see what he felt, he was 20 minutes late for the wedding. Finding Jess, just wasn’t going to happen, and he couldn’t have taken it if he had happened to find her and gotten rejected again. Though, it was at that point, that he was found, and quickly brought back to where the groomsmen had been waiting for him. As the final fixes were being made, straightening up his suit again, and re-fixing his hair, he shot a look in his cousin’s direction, merely mouthing the words ‘I’m ok.’ Though, anyone who knew him decently well at all, particularly Val, but any of the groomsmen would immediately see that wasn’t the case. Kai knew he wasn’t fine in any way, but it couldn’t matter. His thoughts, his feelings, everything about him, didn’t matter. It was time to put on the mask. The front of a guy who wasn’t breaking inside, who didn’t just watch the love of his life leave. The facade of the perfect Azure son, of the guy who was about to get married, and soon the facade of the newlywed. There was nobody who he could truly let see everything there was to the real Kai Azure. After this, there could only be Malachi Azure, prince of Listaria. Kai had to be gone, buried under the walls he had to put up because of the life he’s forced to live.

Her eyes flickered up and down at him trying to read his response to her comment. Perhaps it had been taken more personally than what she had intended. But despite having that thought, she said nothing to clear up the possible misinterpretation, instead just listened as he admitted to her claims. “No, not really,” Delilah replied after hesitation, looking straight forward, when he asked if it bothered her, not saying anything else to maintain the ambiguous appearance, for no real reason.

Clearly some part of what Delilah said had been taken seriously, as Dorian stood up and began to walk away. “Yeah, you too,” Delilah replied with a nonchalant shrug when he told her to enjoy the wedding. Though this time he appeared to have the intention of actually leaving and this time, her eyes followed the back of him as it soon disappeared in the crowd. Huh. Maybe Daniel was right, she did push people away. In any context. She had managed to make him walk away three times and this time he didn’t come back. Not that she cared. Just a mere observation. But she stayed sat in her seat, regardless of whatever was going through her mind. She had a reputation to uphold, of course.

At this point, they’d been standing waiting for Kai to show up for the better part of half an hour. “Hey, I’ll be right back.” He told Jordan before stepping out of his position and walking down the hall. He was halfway down the hallway when he realized that he had no idea where he was going, figuratively and literally. He kept walking, hoping that eventually he would figure something out as he did. Eventually, he spotted a door and, though he could be mistaken, heard voices.

He walked closer to the door and lightly pushed on it. What he saw next froze him on the spot and sent an emotion through his body that he hadn’t felt since he received the news of Clara’s death. Heartbreak. He looked away, silently hoping that he was just seeing things, but when he looked back, they were still there. It was really happening. Maverick was making out with Yara.

He contemplated what he should do next. Should he make some kind of noise and make himself known to them? Should he pretend he never saw them and return to the wedding? Or should he leave so that he doesn’t have to see him again? Knowing that leaving wasn’t an option since he told Kai he’d be there, he took a deep breath, plastered an seemingly effortless smile on his face and turned to go back the way he came, towards where the other groomsmen were waiting.

There were many things in Yara’s life she could see coming, but this? Standing there in the middle of a royal castle kissing the boy who was one of her best friends for as long as she could remember, a boy she once had feelings for, but never thought he’d see her as anything other than a friend. And from acting and not thinking at all, Yara’s mind turned all hyper and thinking so many different things at once as soon as he kissed her back.

Holding herself up on her tiptoes, her hand cupping his cheek as the whole room as if dissolved into thin air, that moment was all that remained. No words coming out of her mouth as she broke the kiss, not even noticing Dominic coming and going as bringing her feet back to the ground and her hand slid down to his chest along with her eyes that turned to look down and away from his own as she slightly bit her lip. So impulsive, yet now she found herself clueless, why did she do that? what if he had a date? what if she just ruined years of a friendship that will never be the same again?

Yara slowly raised her gaze to look at his deep green eyes, not sure what to say at a moment like this. “I-” She mumbled quietly. Her instincts told her to say i’m sorry , but the problem was that she wasn’t sorry, either way this situation will go, right now she wasn’t sorry at all. But she also didn’t know what to say, as for now, she just wanted to ask him why?, why did he not push her away? why did he not say anything? why is whatever it was that was happening there even happening? “Mav…” she said quietly, looking at him trying to see any sort of answer to her cluelessness in his eyes. He wasn’t supposed to kiss her back why did he kiss her back? “I- Why?” she asked, though she didn’t expect him to have an answer “What am I doing?” she whispered, mostly to herself but he could hear her either way, “I just… I don’t want this to ruin everything…” She admitted, missing out on the chance of saying it was a dare even though it wasn’t just to get out of potential ruin. why did she do that? good question, and I wish I had the answer, but it is what it is, and right now there was only this moment, and the boy in front of her who’s reaction could change everything, for the better and for the worse.

“I’m not missing out on much, for all I care he can keep avoiding me.” Aline lifted her head at this, a smile curving her lips. “Ooh yeah, you aren’t. He’s the one missing out on having the awesomest son ever." She bumped his shoulder with her own, laughing slightly. “But yeah he sucks, and you’re better off without him.” Luciano watched this with a small smile on his face, relishing in the familiar feeling of happiness he got from seeing Aline get on so well with Gio. He may not have been with him anymore, but there was still the same sort of good feeling, as Gio would always be someone important to him, no matter if there was something more between them or not.

“I’ll let her know. And that sounds really nice, maybe we could make that work sometimes." She beamed, the happiness pretty much vibrating in the air around her. He couldn’t help but laugh quietly to himself. “Okay, and, with your birthday coming up, I did promise you the best day so remember that.” Aline lifted an eyebrow, grinning. “It’ll be very fun, promise.”

Aline dipped and Luciano embarrassed himself, though lucky enough for him that Gio hadn’t commented on it, allowing the conversation to move past his flounder. Gio agreed to going someplace quieter, and so the two of them walked away from all the business of the hall. “I feel like if I’ll end up getting lost here somewhere,” Gio said, to which Lui laughed a little at. “I honestly don’t know how anyone can not get lost in here.”

He followed him into a greenhouse, which, even for a greenhouse, was very luxurious and had embellishments that he wouldn’t’ve even have thought they’d have. The plants seemed to be flourishing though, so all this money obviously was worth it. It was peaceful in here, nothing but the silent sound of plants just doing that plant thing. Lui leaned against a column adorned with vines and mosses, glancing up at Gio as he waited for him to begin. He hadn’t been entirely sure of where this conversation was going to go, but he definitely wasn’t surprised that it went back to their relationship. Gio didn’t even remember their relationship and yet he still missed it… well, that was somewhat comforting. That sentence though, Gio saying, “Losing your memory sucks, but honestly from what I do know, the one thing that sucks the most is knowing that I lost… well, us.” That was like a knife to the heart, because really, it was Luciano’s fault that they had ended up in this whole situation to begin with.

“And that my odds are probably low… but I’ll still say that I’m willing to make an effort somehow, I know it’s super complicated and nothing is the same, but maybe… a fresh start? I don’t know… that, if you want…” That was all he wanted, really, he wanted nothing more than to be able to put the past behind him and just start anew… but despite the hope bubbling up, as he looked at Gio, he could feel the guilt pressing it down too. It wasn’t fair for Gio to go into a relationship with him when he didn’t even know the whole story.

“I…” He breathed out, taking a moment to gather his thoughts before he smiled slightly, though it was tinged with sadness. “G, I’m not gonna lie, of course I want a fresh start with you, that’s… the one thing I want more than anything. But you don’t even…” Lui sighed, looking down at his hands. He paused, pushing off of the column and wandering over to a low barrier that bordered a man-made pond in the greenhouse, sitting down on the flat top of it. “The day of… your accident, I was meeting with an ex I had from Brazil,” he started, watching his fingers drum out a beat on his thigh. "That relationship, it ended… badly, and I guess I was still looking for closure when he DMed me so when he came to Beryl, I… I agreed to meet with him.

“I really didn’t think that it would be anything more than just a brief conversation, but he had a different idea of what it was going to be. Aline… she saw that, but I just, I wouldn’t listen to her. And she thought that you should know, but I wouldn’t-” He shook his head, his brows furrowing. “I don’t know why I wouldn’t tell you,” he murmured softly to himself. If he had, that whole day, it would’ve all gone so differently. “But Aline, she took you to the cafe I was meeting him 'cause she didn’t want to lie to you and at the time, I remember feeling so betrayed, like how could she go behind my back like that-? But no… she was just being your friend. I should’ve–” His eyes fluttered closed briefly, the flashes of the day running across his mind.

“He kissed me,” Luciano said, his eyes opening to meet Gio’s for the first time since he began. “I agreed to dance with him because I thought it’d be a good end to that part of my life, but he kissed me and then you and Ali walked in and-” His voice broke, and he looked away again, hunching over to stare at the ground. “You said to me, ‘I should’ve known it was too good to be true.’ And then you were gone, and then you got into that crash and I-” He swallowed back a sob, wiping away a tear that had escaped the hold of his lids. “So yeah, you lost your memory, but you didn’t lose us.” Lui spoke in a low tone. “I did enough of a job doing that myself.”

”With that I can agree” he said with a light chuckle as she commented on his dad, it was in fact sad and not as funny, he did suck, and it wasn’t sometime Gio had learned recently at all, but there was no point in getting all down and sad about it, laughing instead was always good. Aline was a nice girl, it sucked that he didn’t remember just how much, but he could tell she was someone he wanted in his life, and… she promised to make his birthday great, though it was still a day he didn’t like, but a promise is a promise isn’t it? ”Not too fun” he pointed, ”but yes”

“I honestly don’t know how anyone can not get lost in here.”
”I bet they have a pocket map” he said as the two walked, finding themselves in the greenhouse. Gio spoke up, putting his fears aside as he said what he wanted to say, looking at this boy in front of him who was leaning against some column, responding to Gio’s words with a slight smile with a hint of sadness in his eyes before speaking up himself,

"I… G, I’m not gonna lie, of course I want a fresh start with you, that’s… the one thing I want more than anything.” he started, words that sparked a glimmer of hope in Gio’s heart, though of course, there was a but. The boy listened as Luciano told him what happened the day of the accident, what happened to them the day of the accident… As he spoke, Gio listened, he never actually knew what happened that day, all he knew even before the accident, was that he and Aline walked into the cafe where he saw the love of his life kissing another man, and from there… everything went black, even before he forgot the rest of it.

Gio stood there, silently listening as he told him how he met with his ex for closure, and how he kissed him exactly when he and Aline walked in, when Aline brought him there on purpose so he’d know what she thought was the truth. In this moment Gio appreciated Aline even more, how she chose telling her friend the truth over keeping her brother’s bad secret, it said a lot about her as a person, good things. Luciano looked at him for a moment as he spoke, the pain visible in his eyes which only made Gio’s heart ache as well.

“You said to me, ‘I should’ve known it was too good to be true.’ And then you were gone, and then you got into that crash and I-”
And all along with that whole story he was just hearing, now, like has happened only a small amount of times before, Gio had a flash, as if he didn’t get back his memory back altogether, but in flashes, pictures, short clips of specific moments.

He saw himself and Aline in his car, her tapping anxiously on her leg as he drove, then he saw the front of the cafe, cafe con amor, it was ironic how a place with a word meaning love in the title has caused so much heartbreak.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t-- I didn’t know.” The girl muttered as she saw the shocking surprise in front of her eyes. Anger, yelling, disappointment, regret.
“Gio, God, I’m so sorry. I swear I’m not cheating on you, this is the first time I’ve met with him.” Gio saw Luciano standing in front of him in his mind, and the feelings he felt in that moment came back to him, the surprise, the cluelessness, the pain. Was it a bad dream or was it reality? Tricky question, because in fact, it was actually both.

“So yeah, you lost your memory, but you didn’t lose us. I did enough of a job doing that myself."
Gio stayed silent for a moment as the flashes of the event ran through it, his eyes staring into the air as he stood there, not saying a word even though Luciano had already finished talking. ”No you didn’t” he whispered, closing his eyes for a moment, his head tilted down before turning up to face the boy. ”I-… I’m not mad” he said, and it was true, he wasn’t mad, but actually remembering that moment hurt like hell, even if it was just in parts. Like, dammit, there were so many other moments in the past three years that he’d rather remember, not this… but maybe being the moment leading to his accident, made that come in a memory, it was a key moment, it stick there in his subconscious even if he didn’t know it… but no, Giovanni wasn’t mad.

”I never was…” he added, looking at the water as he quietly spoke, ”I was hurt, I didn’t know the whole story even then, but walking into a cafe and seeing the one person I loved the most, kissing someone else…” the boy told him, the pain of the memory somewhat audiable in his voice ”I thought you got bored of me…” he admitted. Frankly, there was no surprise he thought it was too good to be true, because it was, and he out of all people in the world wasn’t the person who deserved that. There was nothing special about him, he was just Gio, that’s it. What about that deserved such a good thing as Luciano? They were never on the same level, and yet somehow they did end up together, and even with that, in that moment in the cafe, what Gio thought it finally happened , one of his greatest worries that in his mind was always around the corner, the day when eventually Lui would realises he can do better, and moves on.

Gio raised his gaze to look at the boy in front of him, ”It’s not your fault…” he said, genuinely meaning every word. Taking a small step towards him, Gio spoke again ”I said what I said… if it’s really the one thing you want more than anything, like you said,” he added, quoting Lui’s words from earlier as looking at him straight in the eyes. Doing that, Gio put all his insecurities aside, because if there was one thing he learned from this crazy experience, it was the fact that life was so damn fragile, there was no room for letting fear hold him back, especially not now. Not this”I’m right here”
