Dorian DeLoughrey

“I guess so,” replying in the same way, Dorian chuckled, not wanting to worsen the already intense situation… from his point of view at least. And if she was fine there was nothing else he was supposed to say or do. Once again, what else was he expecting from this reunion? Who else would be having the same conversation with? Sharing feelings and life stories, troubles… that was something he was hoping to avoid or not talk about as much. But talking about himself and everything he’d accomplished also wasn’t on the top of his list.

Smiling, he finished his first and last drink of the day, with a generic question trying to avoid a touchy subject and talk about something more exciting. Not like his life and everything mentioned wasn’t exciting… in fact, Dorian was actually happy with where he was. It took a while to get there but he was. “Oh, New York. Unreal for sure,” getting more interested in their conversation, he sarcastically replied but kept a friendly smile on his lips. From what he could see and hear, many of his friends actually ended up in New York or lived there for some time, and as nice as it is that city was never interesting to him. A big, busy city… not a dream for him. “And you’re joking, right? First time after graduation?” Now laughing, he could believe her words but it didn’t seem realistic. “You had to visit your family or friends at some point? Don’t tell me they all went to New York or wherever you were before just to see you?”

Year 0 - Before Graduation

The 16th of June, 2020. A day which would forever hold unpleasant memories in Kai’s mind. His wedding day. The day that sealed Kai’s fate to a life he never wanted, and that was only part of it. That day, so much changed for so many people. The fire was responsible for so much damage. People were hurt, and not everyone made it out alive, including a Cerulean High senior, and Kai’s own aunt, Valerie’s mother. No matter the relationship she had with any of the family, family is family. Love them or hate them, there’s still that connection. Then, there were all the people who got hurt, and were at risk from the smoke and fire, including Val, even Jess, and his baby sister Ria. So many of his friends and more of his family could have been hurt worse or killed, but even then, the decision did not come down to him for what happened to Ruby Danvers as a result of that day. He was, in a way, grateful to her for having helped Ria get to safety, but furious at her for the harm she had caused. It wasn’t long before the girl was sentenced to prison for her crime, forever unable to fully, truly make up for what she had done. A mere nine days went by, funerals happened and it certainly wasn’t long enough for most to get past what happened, yet life was moving on in Listaria and repairs were underway. For reasons that truly didn’t even matter, Kai didn’t even get to attend his high school graduation. He was simply sent his high school diploma. Graduation, for most of the senior class, meant freedom, a chance to go on to make your life what you want it to be, but for Kai that couldn’t be the case. From the moment he said ‘I do’ he had lost what was left of his freedom.

Year 1 - “First” Meetings

Despite the fire and everything that happened, there was one positive that came out of the day of Kai’s wedding. Kai found out that he had a child. A little boy he had with Candice Clarke. Kai hadn’t expected it, but that didn’t change that he had a son. He hadn’t even known of Zachary’s existence for the very beginning of his life, and there was so much keeping him from being the father that he wanted to be for him, but Kai wanted to know the boy and be in his life. Family would always be important to him, which now included his son, and even Candice in a way, so Kai would always be willing to do anything for her and their son. First, Kai just had to meet him. Once Kai was fully healed since what Elettra had done, he was off for the honeymoon he never wanted, but before returning to Listaria, Kai was stopping in New York. He had business to deal with, along with checking in with his family, seeing his brother, sisters and Val, and most importantly, meeting Zachary. Kai was normally good at concealing what he had actually been feeling, but he couldn’t hide that there was the side of him that was nervous about it as he stepped up to the door. Though, as soon as he met the kid, it seemed that there was no reason to have been worried. Kai was a father, with a little boy that loved him, and even if Kai couldn’t be there nearly enough, he wanted him to have what he never had. A life where he could do anything he wanted, and could have all the love in the world.

The final Blue Blood list of 2020, like always, added five new members to the ranks of Blue Royalty. This time brought Elodie DeLoughrey, just as Kai knew would win, along with her brother Dorian, Sadie Monroe, Elias Stokes, and Theodore Alarie. The five new additions were now among those with the connections to achieve anything they wanted. Assuming they played along with the rules, they wouldn’t have a struggle in getting what they want. Only one of them had any idea what to expect when they were each invited to come to an event, Blue Royalty only of course, as Kai had told Elodie about his own connection to Blue Royalty, but the others didn’t know of Kai’s connection to the game, what his family did, until he stepped out in the front of the room. Kai held a confident appearance looking at the Blue Royalty winners, past and present. It didn’t matter if he wanted anything to do with the control of Blue Royalty or not, he was still the person set to take over from his father, meaning that this was just the first step. “Welcome to the Blue Royalty.” Kai began. He knew the structure of the game, and how things ran regarding the winners better than most. He’d spent years learning it, even if it was never what he wanted, but there was an added challenge. One new Blue Royalty winner in particular, Dorian DeLoughrey. Simply put, neither had thought of each other as friends before, but Kai knew he was with Jess. Dorian was the guy she had moved on to after him, and he wanted her to be happy more than anything, but did it really have to be Dorian DeLoughrey, someone who Kai had no choice but to deal with?

Year 2 - Chaos Courtesy of A Parker

Daniel Parker, someone who Kai truly hated. Kai could tolerate the man, for the sake of his dear cousin who, for some reason Kai would never entirely understand, loved him, and for the sake of his little sister Akielah who looked to the guy as a mentor. Kai did contain some level of respect for Daniel Parker. One could not deny that the man was a genius, and someone who would do anything for those he cares about. That was worth a level of respect, but Daniel Parker would never let things be, and would do anything to get under Kai’s skin. Kai would never desire anything beyond a mutual toleration for the sake of the people they both cared about, but that wasn’t the case for Daniel. He couldn’t settle, and had to cause further problems. Whether he had thought it through entirely or not couldn’t be clear, but it didn’t really even matter. Daniel Parker, looking into everything about his father’s dealings with Blue Royalty, came to the decision of cutting the Parker family’s ties to their own company, effectively cutting the Azures from control over much of business dealings with the Parkers. Of course, the full connection between Justin Parker and Blue Royalty could never be entirely severed, Daniel Parker had managed to find each loophole available, though that doesn’t mean that one wrong move on the Parkers’ end wouldn’t be problematic. One thing Daniel had done though, was give Akielah a heads up that something was going to happen, she didn’t know exactly what would happen, so she could only do so much, but what she had been able to manage helped with controlling and repairing the situation, lessening the impact. The Azure family, people who had been investors and helped Parker Industries get its start to become what it was by that time were, for the first time, publicly associated with the company, and the reason for the Parkers leaving. Though, what would never be made public knowledge was just how the Azures had such ties to Parker Industries. The spotlight may have been on the Azures, but Blue Royalty remained in the shadows, as it had to, for the sake of the Azure family, and all previous winners. Daniel Parker was playing a dangerous game, one that wasn’t necessarily going to be about him or Kai winning or losing, but about how much collateral damage there would be.

What Daniel had done, brought a lot of complications to deal with. They weren’t necessarily complications Kai had to deal with personally, as Daniel intended. Kai’s parents were the ones putting out all of the fires Daniel caused. They had to fix it, but it was clear within the family that Kai’s parents held him responsible for everything Daniel Parker had done. Tension among the members of the Azure family were at an all time high. Everything with Elettra, everything Daniel had done because of Kai, Raphael’s announcement to the family that he was leaving New York to go after Eve and help her family with getting back on their feet with their family restaurant, even Ria was struggling with the complete change in family dynamic and acting out from feeling like she wasn’t getting any of the attention from her parents or older siblings. Akielah for a time was the only one who wasn’t an influence on the tension, though, that eventually changed with her reveal of her intention to test out of high school and desire to attend Oxford where Daniel, much to Kai’s dismay, and Jess both were.

Year 3 - So, What’s A Happy Marriage?

A whole two years of Kai’s life had gone by, and Kai still couldn’t say he liked how his life had turned out. Even in two years, he still didn’t have feelings for his wife. It was simply a marriage he was forced into. Like most of his life, it was nothing more than what he had to do for everyone else’s best interest. It was two years, two years of not being happy, but Kai had put on the facade of the happy husband, the charming American prince who knew what it was like not being of royal blood. So few people were able to see how he actually felt inside, so few he was willing to be remotely open with. Akielah, despite not wanting to let his little sister know about his problems, she knew her big brother enough to where he couldn’t hide much. Akielah would happily state that she was smarter than him, and she had seen him through highs and lows, so she knew better than most, how Kai had been. Then there was Val. Kai’s cousin was probably the one person that Kai could actually be willing to tell what was going on in his head sometimes, but even then there was still a distance there that Kai couldn’t stop. He closed himself off after Jess said no to leaving the wedding with him. How else could he deal with his life being the opposite of everything he ever wanted? He had a spotlight on him that he hated, so much of his life was decided for him, and he was in a loveless marriage that with time only became more clear that the marriage would never develop any emotional bond, clear in the fact that the husband and wife even slept in different rooms.

Of those who know Malachi Azure, they would know that calling him a manwh0re, wouldn’t really be the most inaccurate statement. He had a tendency to sleep around, one could say he was unable to keep it in his pants. If he wasn’t happy in a relationship, what was really stopping him? It was that instant of having a connection with someone, that moment where everything he hated about his life didn’t matter. It was the only part of his life where he felt like he had control, and likely it was one of very few parts, if not the only part, of his life where he actually could have full control. Kai and his wife didn’t get along with each other in a private setting, that much was clear, and each of them preferred the company of others, though most staff chose to look the other way, so when rumors were leaked by a maid who had been fired by the princess, the situation was quickly swept under the rug with little to prove the claim. However, it didn’t matter whether one believed the claim or not, they weren’t really rumors if it was true that Kai and his wife had both been partaking in affairs. To the outside, they were the happily married royal couple, but the closer one looks, the more they can see that there weren’t just cracks, but really nothing holding them together but the facade the world saw.

Year 4 - Almost Happiness...

Press conferences, by that point Kai felt like he had done a million of them as Prince Malachi. Just as always, the questions were sent ahead of time, allowing for every answer to be rehearsed ahead of time for approval, as even Kai’s answers weren’t necessarily his decision entirely. There were things he would change, but even if he was a prince, he was powerless to do anything. Angela tried helping to make improvements to the kingdom as she saw fit, but she wasn’t looking to change policies, instead being a face going to her people to help first hand. She was a true people’s princess even if she didn’t care about the crown that would next pass on to her, so then came decisions from Eva and the king, neither of which had all of the best intentions for the people, as the king resisted change, and Eva only wanted the power, not the love of her people. Kai, he didn’t have the influence to make change, the decisions were all out of his hands, even if he saw ways that things could be better, even more efficient.

Kai was merely a face for the public, only coming to the conference to answer questions as he was supposed to, standing by his wife’s side. Some of what he would say, was genuine, though not all. Some, was what he had to, whether he thought it should change or not, and the rest was more of keeping up the act for the part he played in his life. Kai took a breath, and alongside Eva, he stepped in front of the room of people who had the opportunity of interviewing the pair, as the crown princess wouldn’t be in attendance. He could feel the eyes drawn to him as he gave an introductory statement, saying how he was looking forward to the questions from them all. Kai didn’t know who all was there, he didn’t look to see where the questions were coming from, let alone the school one editor and chief were from. He had answered questions, but a girl from Oxford stood up to ask a question, which brought Kai’s line of sight in the girl’s direction, but not to her, but the girl beside her, who’s eyes moved up to meet his, Jessica Pierce.

Jess’s presence was something Kai would have never imagined going into that day, but nevertheless, there she was. Jessica Pierce, who he hadn’t seen since a small awkward interaction a couple years prior at Valerie and Daniel’s wedding. So much time had passed, but seeing her there, brought the memories back to feeling like just yesterday. He still loved her. In the short time that their relationship was good, she made her way so deep in his heart that she would always hold a part of his heart in her hands. Even as Jess broke eye contact, and the girl she was with asked their question, one which held a depth that would be expected coming from Jess in comparison to the others there with their surface level questions, his focus was only on Jess. He wasn’t letting her out of his sight, even as his wife answered the question about the inconsistencies, almost as if there was that subconscious fear that her being there was just a dream that he would wake up from at any moment. Though, any doubt that she was more than a mere figment of his imagination faded away as he heard her voice, when she took the mic to ask an unapproved question, in true Jessica Pierce fashion.

She first asked for a comment on the “rumors” leaked about the affairs the pair had. It was true that the questions were commonly dodged, which was why Jess had to ask, then as Eva began to answer the question, Jess looked to him again, returning to the eye contact they had for an instant before, with a second question, this time directed to just him as Prince Malachi, something which he still hadn’t grown a liking to being called. ”What’s the significance behind the ring?” she asked, bringing up the very ring she had placed on his finger that day. That last moment between them in that bathroom together before his wedding, a moment he had replayed in his mind so many times in the years since, even wishing he could have changed her mind for them to have left to be together that day. She placed that ring of hers on the only finger of his she could, his pinky, right next to the ring finger containing his wedding band. From the moment she placed that ring, it had only been removed from that location a handful of times as necessary. He wouldn’t hide that he wore another ring, even if he had yet to explain to anyone the importance it held, the way it was more important to him than his wedding ring was. He brought his other hand to lightly touch the ring she had given him, taking a slightly deeper breath. “The ring was from someone very important to me. Someone I care about that still means a lot to me.”

With the questions Jess had asked given answers, security pulled her out of the room, at which point Kai excused himself from the room. He didn’t know, or care for that matter, about whether or not there were anymore questions remaining from the group. Stepping to the side, Kai spoke to a member of the security team, one which held more understanding of Kai and his relationship with his wife than most. “I need to speak with her. Alone.” Kai instructed, having the man tell the security that was escorting Jess out, to instead take her somewhere else, the only place he actually had to himself where he could say or do anything in private. Just shortly after he stepped through the doors, security brought a struggling Jess inside. “Let go of her.” He stated to the guards who had a hold of her, before instructing them to leave the room.

“I can handle myself, Your majesty”
He knew she could handle herself, that was never a doubt, but that didn’t change a thing. Though, her calling him ‘your majesty’ hurt. He hated the way being called by that title felt. It was everything he hated about his life. He was called that, and so many other similar terms, far too often for his comfort, and he couldn’t take it being called that by Jess too. “Don’t… call me that.” Even if the two had been avoiding each other, and he could have let her just be thrown out, he just couldn’t. He had to see her, and talk to her. “You can’t ask questions like that…” Jess asking those questions, brought attention to the cracks in the facade, the parts that were harder to keep the public from seeing, the parts that made him think of her.

“You wanted to know why I still wear the ring? I answered you. Someone I care about gave it to me.” Kai didn’t tell people why he wore that ring, the story behind it, but he would never lie about it and how important it was to him. He still wore it because it was from her. She gave it to him, and it was a connection to her. She quickly responded by saying he didn’t care, and tried turning away, but he couldn’t let her go, not this time, not like that. Without letting her finish her words, he grabbed a hold of her hand, turning her towards him, and pulling her close, and bringing his lips to hers, kissing her like he hadn’t done in years. “You’re right, I don’t still care about you, Jessica. I still love you.” It didn’t matter how long they had been together before, or how long they had been apart since, she would forever have that pull on him, someone he truly loved, even if it wasn’t the same for her.

“That’s why I never took off the ring, That’s why I called you here, and I know I can never change your…” he began, but never finished because of the way her lips met his. It was as if no time had ever passed as she put her legs around him, and he brought her to his bed, entirely lost in the moment with her as their clothes came off and they were lost in each other’s bodies for a time, how long didn’t even matter. They were just… together. Nothing else mattered in that moment.

Laying in his bed with Jess in his arms, Kai was likely the happiest man in the world. At that time, there wasn’t a worry in the world for him. He had exactly what he wanted, who he wanted. He could spend forever right there with the girl who would always have his heart. When he was with Jess, everything felt right, and he never wanted to let her out of his arms again. Though with Jess’s next words as she looked him in the eyes, it became clear that he wasn’t the only one wishing that they would never have to be apart like they had been again, that they could be together like they could have had things gone differently years prior. “Kai… You asked me a question four years ago. Would you say yes if I asked you the same question today?” His response needed no words as he kissed her, giving a slight nod. She may have said no to leaving with him before the wedding, but now, there she was asking him to go with her. This was everything he wanted, they could be together for real, no secrets, nothing to hold them back. Not just together in that moment, but really together. He held no hesitation in wanting to go with her. Kai, for the first time in a long time, could say he was truly happy, at least in that moment, letting his lips trail from hers, down her body, against her skin, even to her stomach and the scar left behind from what his sister had done, something he still felt pain and guilt from. He nearly lost Jess forever that day, and he thought he had lost her when he got married, and he didn’t want to lose her again.

Wait outside and he would be right there so they could leave together. It seemed so simple, but turned out to become one of, if not the biggest regret of his life. Of course with being the prince and living in the castle for years now, there would be a few arrangements to make before setting off with Jess. Minor little things really, gathering a few personal belongings, a couple gifts he had set aside to give in person even, but as he was ready and mere moments away from going out to meet Jess, he had even just taken off his wedding ring, his wife came up to him with news. She was pregnant. His wife was pregnant, and Kai couldn’t exactly deny having had sex with her. The pair may have never held romantic feelings towards one another, but as they were husband and wife, there had been times when the pair upheld a relationship on purely physical terms. There was a small part of Kai that looked forward to having a child, one that he could know from the very first moment of their life and be there for every moment after, that he didn’t miss out on so much with, but there was what his heart wanted. He wanted more than anything to walk out that door, and to go be with Jess, but how could he after hearing that his wife was pregnant…
Reluctantly placing the ring back on his finger, Kai walked outside to meet Jess, breaking inside knowing he couldn’t go with her. It was all he wanted to do, but he didn’t have a choice, he couldn’t follow his heart… no matter how much he wanted to. When she saw him, she didn’t know. She hadn’t realized what was going on as she kissed him. Kai wanted to take her hand, and get as far away from Listaria as possible, but he couldn’t, not with what he was told. “I can’t Jess…” he began, barely able to get the words that were breaking his heart out. She didn’t even give him the chance to finish, as she let go and began to walk away, pausing to give him a look that expressed just as much pain as he felt, and only added more for him to bear. Forever, Kai would have to live with the decision he had made that day, believing his wife’s words that led him to say goodbye to the person he wanted to be with. Forever, not leaving with Jess would be his biggest mistake and a regret he would have for the rest of his life.

Year 5 - Sibling Bonding

“Akielah, do you want it?” Kai asked his sister with complete seriousness in his tone. This was a conversation Kai had been thinking about for a while. Akielah for the longest time, was just a kid in Kai’s view. He knew her, he knew better than most that she wasn’t just this innocent kid who had yet to experience the world. She had seen Kai at some of his lowest points. She was this insane genius who held herself back far too often, but her mind still worked in ways that Kai’s didn’t, honestly like Daniel Parker in that way. She was a girl who was more grown up than most her age since far too young an age, in a way because of him and her experience with watching him nearly die all those years earlier. Because of him, and his relationship with Elettra even then, Akielah had been through something she never should have, especially not when she was just an 8 year old little girl. She grew up too fast, and there was that part of Kai that in a way, tried to preserve whatever was left of the innocence in her childhood. That innocence she lost because of what happened to him. That event had given the two a strong bond, though he still felt he had to protect her, but he knew he couldn’t treat her like a kid forever.
“Kai… that’s not up to me. I can’t choose something like this for you.”
Kai ran a hand through his hair with a sigh. “You know I never wanted any of it. You’ve always been the one who showed interest. I only ever wanted to know if I could have won the game if I tried, but you wanted to run it. If you want it, it’s yours. Full control over everything with Blue Royalty is yours.” If Kai could have done anything to not be put in charge of Blue Royalty, he would have. He just couldn’t, he couldn’t let his parents make the choices for his siblings like they had for him.
“Kai? Are you really sure about this?” Now, things were different. Akielah was an adult now, and Kai knew he had to treat her that way. She was better with the game than he was. He could handle business and people, but running the inner workings of the game never felt right for him, but for Akielah it did. “You’re not just a kid Akielah, I know that, and I know you would run the game better than anyone else, much better than I ever could.” The look of surprise was clear on Akielah’s face at her brother’s words. She had never thought he’d stop treating her like she needed protection from the world. It didn’t matter how mature she was, or how old she was, it always seemed like she would be that 8 year old kid who was scared to lose her big brother, and needed him to protect her, in his eyes. Before saying another word, she pulled her brother into a hug. “Thank you Kai.” It was time that the mind behind Blue Royalty was someone new, someone like Akielah Azure.

Year 6 - Another Chance Ripped Away....

As royalty, it was only natural for Kai to receive invitations to attend a near unending list of events full of those who had connections to royalty, though, Kai was rarely in attendance at those types of events, but for once he actually opted to attend, unaware of the presence of a certain Pierce in attendance. However, the first Pierce he encountered was not one he actually knew, but instead a little girl who asked him if he would dance with her. Kai would never deny a little girl asking him to dance, even not knowing who she was. It would bring a smile to a kid’s face, and she would be safe and sound until she could be back with her parents, or whoever was watching over her. For that moment though, he was actually happy. The rest of his life didn’t matter at that moment, he was just happy to make a kid smile. The whole moment, reminiscent of that first date with Jess, and only more so when the girl in question actually appeared. Though Jess’s intervention put a stop to the interaction between Kai and the young girl who was revealed to be Jess’s sister. Just like Jess, it seemed that being told not to talk to strangers would stop her from talking, or dancing, with someone she had never met before. Kai hadn’t planned on meeting Jess there, especially not in this way. At that point, Jess told Paige to go, saying she’d get her ice cream. “Bye Paige.” Kai said with a smile, as he returned a wave. Though as his gaze turned to Jess, he couldn’t tell what she was really thinking, not in her look, actions, or her words even. They hadn’t seen each other since… that day… Kai still regretted not going with her. He regretted it more than anything, and he never had the chance to tell her why he thought he couldn’t go with her. “Jess…” he began, only to have her try telling him not to, but he had to tell her why, so he pulled her into the bathroom, of all places, so they could actually talk alone. Whether she still wanted anything to do with him or not, she deserved to know why he made the choice he did, why he hurt her. His wife lied to him, and with the lie she had told, there wasn’t a way for him to have left with Jess before he knew it wasn’t real.
Then, as Jess once again told him to just stop, he saw something that hurt to see. A ring, an engagement ring on Jess’s hand. She was with someone who clearly knew how Jess wasn’t someone you should let go. Though, maybe that was why Kai did what he did next. He knew he couldn’t just let Jess go. If the time since that day he had to say no to leaving with her, even since the time since his wedding and before, he was better with her. He liked who he was when he was with Jess, and he was happy with her. He just couldn’t stop himself from kissing her, simply with the word, please, as she kissed him back.
Kai could see the confusion, uncertainty even, on Jess’s face. He didn’t exactly know what he was doing, he didn’t have a plan, he was just going with the moment as he asked her to be with him instead. A request that he wasn’t sure would be granted, but soon enough the two found themselves escaping the party, being together just like they had been so long ago, when they were happy and could spend so much time together. Though, of course it seemed as though the world was against Kai actually having the life he wanted with the girl he loved, as once again, his wife brought his plans to leave with Jess to an abrupt halt, but this time wasn’t a lie, after all… it’s difficult to fake a positive pregnancy test.

[details="Year 7 - Regret… Definitely Regret.”]
A royal heir, that’s all that seemed to be talked about for a very long time. The pregnancy, the gender, the name, that’s what the media wanted to know. All the public saw was that their princess and prince were having a child, they saw the joy and excitement, though like always, there was more behind it than what the media saw, before and even after the birth of Listaria’s future king. A happy couple, a growing family in the eyes of the world, but neither was really accurate to what was behind the castle walls. The royal couple was in no way happy. Over the course of the pregnancy, the lack of care that the two had for each other only grew, especially when it was revealed to Kai that the baby wasn’t his. That’s right, Kai could have been with Jess not only the once, but twice, yet he wasn’t able to be with her because of what his wife had led him to believe. Both had been having affairs, so it shouldn’t have been a surprise to Kai, but it still hurt him in so many ways. The kid was princess Eva’s son, but not Kai’s. Not having a child with someone you don’t get along with should be a positive, right? Though, for Kai, he would have this kid around, one that he would be associated with in the press, that wasn’t his. Kai wanted to be a father, he wanted to be the best father he possibly could, but there he was, unable to be fully involved in the life of the son he actually had, yet the child whose life he could have been involved in from the first moment, wasn’t his. Without the child really being his, he didn’t have much say in anything. Decisions weren’t his to make, he wasn’t responsible for the baby’s care, which was left to nannies and tutors when he was old enough. Like usual, Kai was little more than a face for the public, unable to do what he wanted or much of anything that really mattered.

Year 8 - What Could’ve Been...

“Where do you think you’re going Malachi?”
Kai stopped in his tracks at the sound of the female’s voice behind him. “What does it look like, Evangeline?” Kai responded coldly. “I’m done.” Kai said, finally turning to look at his wife. “I’m leaving. I can’t do this anymore.” Kai had a bag in hand containing only a change of clothes and the belongings he had that mattered too much to leave behind. He had finally reached the last straw. It didn’t even matter to him what people would think. They could hate him for all he cared. He wanted nothing to do with the crown, with Listaria, his wife. He hated the life he had. He knew leaving and going back to New York wouldn’t be like how it was when he was just a teenager. He knew how his parents would react, they would hold it against him and he would be on his own. Akielah and Raphael would be willing sources of support where he needed it, but he would be living a life not like the one he once had in any way. He would just be Kai Azure, a guy who had done a lot that he regretted, but was finally going to live the life that he wanted. There wouldn’t be the same constant spotlight on him, with people telling him what to do, deciding his entire life for him. Kai was going to change things, and nobody was going to tell him what to do. He was going to find a normal job without his family’s connections, live normally, have friends he could simply relax and hang out with for a while, and he could be more involved in Zachary’s life like he wanted, even if Candice was doing a great job with the boy without Kai around much. Kai could be happy, living the life he wanted, and he could even be with someone he actually cared about. Maybe there would be that chance that one girl in particular could possibly forgive him for what he had done to her, and give him that chance. A chance that if Jess gave him, he would spend every day, for the rest of his life, trying to make up for everything that happened, trying to show her that giving him that chance was worth it.

“You would really leave your Pregnant wife?”
“Shut the hell up Eva. Don’t even try playing your f***ing games with me again. I’m tired of it, and I’m done with your lies and the hell they’ve put me through.” Was it really wrong for Kai to not believe a word that came out of her mouth anymore? Kai could be a manipulative jerk, he knew that and couldn’t even deny it if you confronted him about it, but there was a very short list of people who had the power to truly manipulate him. To an extent, his parents, though Kai only went along with it out of necessity. Elettra, his own twin sister, who could manipulate him like no other, pushing in just the right places to keep him wherever she wanted. Anna Pierce, Jess’s twin sister, after all, through blackmail, and the assistance of his sister, she had managed to even manipulate him for a time. Then, there was Princess Evangeline Langdon of Listaria, the person who manipulated him in the ways that probably hurt the most. Each time he had tried to be with Jess, she got in the way, pulling him away from Jess with her lies. First in lying about being pregnant that first time he was going to run away with Jess, then the next time, despite actually being pregnant, lying about the baby being his, just to keep him around.

“I’m not lying to you Malachi.”
It was clear that Kai wasn’t sure whether or not to believe her, even then. He didn’t want to, that was for certain. “Prove it.” No matter how he felt about her, what could he actually do if she was pregnant with his child. He couldn’t leave, no matter how much he wanted to, because then he would never get to see or talk to his own kid. Not getting to know his child wasn’t something Kai was willing to risk. Once it was proven that she was pregnant, Kai demanded that at the first instant possible, there would be a paternity test. He needed to know the truth, and he wasn’t falling for her lying to him again.

With his wife being pregnant, Kai became the sure choice of being sent as a representative of Listaria for peace talks with another country, Alexandra. However, there was an unexpected situation as he was sitting for a meeting with the prince. Jessica Pierce, or as the prince Kai was meeting with called her, Juliette. Jess was undercover, again after the year she had spent in North Korea that he had heard about. The encounter grew stranger as Jess accidentally spilled a small amount of tea on him, leading him to the bathroom to clean off. Taking the moist rag she tossed at him, he worked to limit any stains, as he was still on thin ice with some of the laundry staff after an incident with some wine, but that’s a whole different story. Though, even as he did so, his attention was just on Jess as she warned him about prince Victor. Someone who was just the age Kai was when he married Eva, and who honestly was the type of person who would be a more fitting pair with Eva than Kai was. Neither interested in caring for their people, only the power they could gain. There was that part of Kai that still wanted to just pull Jess close, kiss her, and apologize for everything he’d done and be with her, but he couldn’t, and one thing was clear. This encounter with Jess was different, because he had hurt her one too many times…

Year 9 - What’s Even Left After Pain?

One. Two. Three. Three heartbeats. The royal babies that the world heard all about. Well, they heard that there wasn’t just a royal baby, but royal babies. The princess hadn’t just been pregnant with a single baby, not even twins like herself and Kai both were, but triplets. Triplets can be tricky, born premature with heightened risks to mother and children. Odds were high that something could go wrong, something made all the more clear with the birth. One. Two. Two heartbeats. Of three born, there were two that survived. The two girls, identical twin girls, would go on to be princesses while their triplet half brother was to never grow up. Of the three infants, there were two fathers, one of Eva’s affairs, and Kai. Eva hadn’t lied. She was pregnant, with Kai’s second born son… The media would hear about the birth of the royal twin girls, but the boy would merely cease to exist in the minds of the few that knew, except for Kai. Kai would always remember and think about who he had lost. Once again, he wasn’t getting to be a father. Be with a girl he loved, have a family, that was all he wanted, but every time it was ripped away from him. The reason Kai stayed with his wife, in Listaria, was gone, not even because of a lie, but because his life just never seemed to work out in a way where he could be happy. Life just ripped away every chance at happiness he had, especially whenever it came to love and Jess. He hated what his life had become. He hated putting on that facade for the world. He never liked it from that first day, and he would never truly feel life the person he had to be. His life was nothing that he wanted, in fact it was everything he didn’t want, but that didn’t change a thing. How he felt didn’t matter. Every mistake he had ever made always managed to catch up to him. He had screwed up so many times in so many ways, hurt people, done everything wrong, by that point, Kai couldn’t even feel like he deserved happiness, or even if he did, it didn’t seem like it would happen for him. What was even the point of leaving anymore? Losing what he did have, would gain him nothing. He was better to keep on with his life as it was. Keeping his walls up, more closed off than ever, but what did it matter? He could do his best to not let anyone in, better yet, not feel, and not let anyone see how miserable and hurting he was, and had been. Kai had to be what he let people see. Be what people wanted him to be, because he couldn’t be himself. Afterall, most people didn’t care enough to look beyond the facade to the person really inside, even when the broken person had been through so much pain.

Year 10 - Back To High School We Go

If you had asked Kai back in high school where he thought his life would be in 10 years, you would get an answer relating to being in New York, married to a nice girl, working in business having taken over from his father. You may not have gotten much depth to the answer, but even then it wouldn’t have been close to his life over these 10 years. However, if Kai were to have truly admitted where he hoped his life would be, the difference would be so far from his reality, but it was a dream life that he still wished he could’ve had. Kai’s dream life would have been to be with someone he loved more than anything in the world. To fall in love, marry her, and spend every day of the rest of his life making her feel like the most important person in the world, because she would be. The girl Kai would marry would be the most important person in his life, the center of his world with the children they would have. They could live somewhere near, but not in, the city, maybe near a beach or the mountains. Somewhere peaceful in a way, where their children could grow up happily without worry. Even as a teenager he knew he wanted a close family that he would devote everything to. He knew what he wanted his life to be, for so long, but his dream hadn’t become a reality, and it was only becoming increasingly more clear that his dream life was nothing more than that. A dream. He would never seem to have that peace and happiness of being with someone he loved and growing a family, together, doing what they wanted, and Kai could be who he really wanted. However, with the upcoming announcement that would take place after Kai returned to Listaria, any small amount of hope Kai for a life of happiness, would slip away as the spotlight on him would only increase further. Angela, the crown princess of Listaria, would officially be abdicating her place in line for the throne, meaning that as soon as their father stepped down or died, Eva would become queen Evangeline, and Kai would become the king by her side. One last week to enjoy what little freedom he had remaining, to escape the public eye temporarily. First, the ten year high school reunion with his former Cerulean high classmates, then visiting his siblings, and seeing Zachary before heading back to Listaria. “I’ll see you two after the weekend, and you can tell me how your driving practice is going then, alright? I’ll be there for a couple days before I see Akielah and Raph. I have to go now though, bye Ria.” Kai finished with his video call with his sister, Ria, taking a chance to talk to her before going onto the yacht for the reunion. Ten years. That’s how long it had been since high school. Ten years since his life had changed so much, since he had gotten married, since he met most of the people there, since the time he was dating Jess. Among the former Cerulean high seniors, there were many he didn’t know, some he hadn’t spoken with in a long time, there were those five who had won Blue Royalty, and a few who could still be considered friends. Though, there was also Ruby having gotten out of jail, who despite Kai’s gratitude to her for helping Ria all those years ago, wasn’t exactly someone he wanted to associate with. Then, there was Daniel, unfortunately in attendance as well, and Val, Kai’s very own cousin, who even with Daniel involved, who would always be a friendly face. That being said, there was still that feeling inside that said it would have been better not to come, especially with the presence of both Pierces, one he hated, Anna, and one he’d always have in his heart, Jess, who had written a best selling book that would soon become a show, but both were best to be avoided. So much had changed in the past ten years, for so many, but for Kai, he was still that person stuck in a life he never wanted, still wishing for a life that would mean something to him.

Life never really ended up like anyone expected… did it? At least for Jordan Williams, it did… and didn’t in an odd way. If you asked him 15 years ago where he thought he would be, his immediate answer would have been growing a family with Jezebel Sloane while teaching dance lessons at a local youth charity center. That’s all he ever really needed to be happy. Someone he loved by his side while doing something he loved. And having kids of his own that Jordan could give everything to. Give everything… that his father never gave him. Safety… security… love. And an endless amount of love…

But did Jordan regret how his life turned out? Perhaps he regretted certain points of his life, but he didn’t regret the end result. Words couldn’t describe how much Jordan Williams loved Sadie Williams. The simple thought of her could make his heart race - even to this day. She was his light in the darkness and she had continued to be throughout the years. And Jordan knew that often, he had been too. There always had been more to Sadie than her bubbly exterior. Someone more complex… more human. And that was the person he fell in love with. That was the person he proposed to during one of his broadway performances.

Flasback:

“God… is it normal to be this nervous. I’ve never been this nervous before…” Jordan sighed, rubbing his hands as he looked out on stage as the hall filled with guests to the broadway show he was premiering in. It was late 2023 and Jordan had been dating Sadie Monroe for 3 and a half years. 3 and a half of the happiest years he had in a long time. And honestly, Jordan Williams wasn’t going to make the same mistake he made before. He wasn’t going to let her go… if she had him… oh god he wished she would have him. And that thought only caused him to pace more. Jordan heard a soft laugh, Riker looking at him from the side.

“I’ve never, in the 5 years that I’ve known you ever seen you this nervous over a performance,”

Jordan rolled his eyes, “You know it’s more than just a performance, Riker,” Jordan sighed. Though, within a few seconds he found his best friend stopping him in his pacing tracks and the man actually, ACTUALLY, slapped him. I kid you not. HE WAS SLAPPED. Not necessarily a hard slap, but enough to make Jordan jump in surprise with a wtf man look.

“Listen to me, Jordan. That girl sitting in the front row is your biggest fan and supporter. She is never going to say no to your proposal, not after you literally changed the whole broadway production for opening night to make it about your story with her. With the lovely me narrating. I’m sorry Elo couldn’t be here, the twins weren’t feeling well. They have a little fever and she was worried but she told me that you have to text her the MOMENT everything goes down. Anyways, stop freaking out. Get your big boy pants on and get it together. Do you still have the ring?,”

Jordan sighed a soft smile on his lips at his best friend’s encouraging words. A man who had, ironically, been freaking out only a year earlier about doing the exact same thing. But nevertheless, it was appreciated. Hugging the man, Jordan took the box out of his pocket and opened it up to reveal a ring. There was nothing necessarily extravagant about the ring, but there was one very important aspect to it. It was his mother’s ring before he died… something that Riker had actually given to him after revealing to him that he knew his mother growing up. Something that meant… the world to Jordan. Hearing stories about her… meant everything to him.

Jordan had gotten the ring reupholstered, added a few diamonds, fit it to Sadie’s ring size. And all he hoped… was that she would say yes.

“Mr. Williams, it’s time.”

Taking a deep breath, Jordan watched as they fit Riker with a headset so he could narrate the story. The story of his life with Sadie. The lead actress agreeing to play “Sadie”. Jordan had lied to all of his friends and family, saying that he was in a broadway musical. Really - he created this musical. A musical taking him a year. The music, the composition, the acting - every aspect created by him. And with a wink from Riker, going outside in his usual charisma to entertain the audience - soon Jordan followed suit.

A play that included meeting Sadie, dancing with her, falling in love with her, going on dates, and her being the person of his dreams. Up until the moment Jordan pulled the ring out. Though, instead of going to the actress playing Sadie - Jordan walked down the steps and walked straight to Sadie Monroe, telling her that she was the only person he loved and he couldn’t imagine another day without her… well… if we’re being exact, his words were…

“Sadie Monroe. I have been with you for the last three years, and for the last year, I kept thinking about the best way to do this. To express how much I love and the issue was, I could never put it into words. There were just… too damn many words I wanted to say. Too many songs I wrote but none of them were ever perfect. None of them ever captured how much you meant to me. All the damn songs in this musical were some I wrote and their only a fraction of what my mind was racking over for the past year. And then I realized, The only way I could do it was to show you. Sadie Monroe, you are my light… my love… the only person who can make me smile when nothing is going right. You will forever have my heart, and if you let me, I would be honored to call you my wife. Sadie Monroe… will you marry me?”

And she said yes. Somehow… somehow he was lucky enough for her to say yes. And since that moment, Jordan has never had a sad day. He’s had Sadie… two beautiful kids that he loved with all of his heart. Days and nights filled with dancing, with laughter, with happiness. And that’s exactly what it was… pure happiness. He loved her with his whole heart.

End of Flashback:

That’s all he could think of as he looked at his wife with a smile; the two on the boat discussing everything about the reunion. Kissing the woman on her forehead, he told her he was going to make his rounds. Though, instead, after a few moments - Jordan found himself walking around the boat just reminiscing. Thinking about the last 10 years. How damn happy he was. Did he have regrets? Maybe one. One specific one. One… Tinkerbell that he hadn’t talked to in years. Had he seen her? Yes. There were moments… weddings… events… where he ran into her. But there weren’t ever… the right words to say. Jordan was no longer… fully overwhelmed and upset by what happened, but part of him still couldn’t get over it. Perhaps that’s why when he saw a closed ballroom with a piano - Jordan made his way inside looking at the piano.

Perhaps it just the memory of everything… the thoughts about Jezebel that were in his mind. That as he reached the piano, he played a song he wrote 12 years ago. Parts of the implications of the song had changed. He had found true love again, and this time, he didn’t let it go. Sadie Moroe was his life. But maybe after 10 years, Jordan had to sing this song one last time. For the first time in a long time, he played the familiar keys of the song he wrote such a long time. That he never shared with anyone.

:musical_note: Play True Love - Jordan Fisher :musical_note:

If I could do it all over, maybe I’d do it different
Maybe I wouldn’t be here in this position
I found you, then I lost you
Looking back is torture
And it hurts to know I let you go

Did he regret Jezebel? He regretted a lot of things that happened with her, yes. And no matter what happened, part of him would always love her.

There’s no such thing as perfection
I’m still learning that lesson
And to forgive is key to forgetting me
And I’m staring at my reflection

He had made so many mistakes. He did so many things right… but that would always be his biggest regret. As he finished the last few cords of the song, he let the piano music harmonize with the last few notes of his song and then he heard it.

The soft shuffling of someone’s feet. Confusion filled his features though he soon turned his head and saw her. Jezebel Sloane… a girl who looked as beautiful as the day he had fell in love with her. But that time was now long gone. “I… what are you doing here?” Jordan asked, unsure of what to say after honestly pouring his heart and soul into a song she was never supposed to hear.

It’s been a bloody decade. That’s crazy, isn’t it? For Anna Pierce it honestly was. Mostly because everything she had learned over the first 18 years of her life was completely uprooted a fated day of one football game. And since that moment, Anna was trying… trying to be better. Be a better sister, a better cousin, a better person. And in retrospect, find who “Anna Pierce” even was. The thing was… for so long, Anna had been defined by being the younger twin, the girl who wasn’t ever as great… as fun as Jessica. Her life was revolved around her sister and it never should have been. And so… for the first time in a long time, it was time to determine what Anna wanted. Honestly, Anna wasn’t sure about what that was. For such a damn long time she had just wanted to one-up her sister. But now… now it was really her shot to be herself. The last time she remembered being herself was with Theo.

And honestly… it was a good feeling… a great damn time. Figuring out what she could do… who she could be. And… yes also use her strengths which still were excellent in manipulation which is likely why she ended up going into politics. Though that was technically always the plan as she wanted her father’s seat in the House of Lords. In retrospect, in the last 10 years - people had seen more of the true Anna Pierce than anyone ever had before. 10 years of getting closer to her older sister… to her younger siblings. Finding a place in the PIerce family that was just for her. It was her life. A life that she now enjoyed.

So what exactly had happened after graduation? After going to that party? After meeting the beautiful Celine Alaire? Well… with Celine, Ironically nothing happened. The two remained friends but Anna wasn’t ready to get in a relationship and neither was Celine. The two had just met each other and they lived in countries. She was a fun girl, but there was no future there… at least yet.

So Anna, instead, went back to London with Jess and took a gap year. She had finished her schooling early - which had originally allowed her to go after Jess with such ferocity with her mental instability. But during that year, Anna got healthy. Got on her meds. Found who she truly was and what she wanted - without surrounding her life over Jess. On the note of Jessica, Anna did everything he could to make it up to her sister. And the two found a new balance between the two of them. Even with Will, and Emmy. And later… Paige, who was honestly a surprise to everyone.

After a year, Anna went to school at the University of Cambridge - attaining her bachelor’s in Policy. And during this time was when she met Celine for the second time. Had she expected to see the girl 3 years later in a coffee shop in London? No. But was it a good surprise? Yes. And Anna was actually in a place this time to do something about how she felt about the girl in a healthy way… which is why they ended up having sex a few hours later in a hotel room. What? Don’t judge. Three years of sexual tension was a long time okay.

In any case, the two went strong for about two years until their eventual break up due to Anna getting an abroad job and Celine not wanting to come with her. See… long distance wasn’t a thing Anna did. Though they didn’t separate on bad terms. Instead, it was mutual terms. And then she had the opportunity to be in a relationship with a sweet man in Switzerland for a year.

Though, as most relationships go, that one didn’t last. Due to… let’s just say reasons. He wanted to marry her, Anna wasn’t ready to settle down. Poh-tay-toe, pah-tah-toe. Did she regret it? Perhaps? But Anna knew that there was a time for that and she wasn’t ready for it just yet. Hence returning to America for a few years and working in a political office from the ground up for the first woman president, aiding the woman all the way into the Presidency seat. It was around this time that Anna ran into Celine for the second time. Though this time, Celine was with someone, and honestly, the girl looked happy and Anna was happy for her. The two became friends again, catching up, laughing, having movie nights. And when Celine broke up with her new relationship, Anna was… also there to support her in that endeavor… in more ways than one. Which… is probably why they ended up in bed again? Together… yeah probably not the best to be the rebound of a girl you care about. Which is what happened when Celine’s partner came back into the picture to apologize and Anna simply told Celine that she wasn’t going to be that girl and left.

Back in London, Anna finally did what she had wanted to do. A policy with her father in the House of Lords. And for the past two years - she was being trained to take over her father’s role for when he retired. In this time, a few notable things happened. For one… Anna found a very interesting journal that her sister had written. About what she had done… about everything she had been through. And Anna knew that it was something that needed to be out in the world. So Anna sent it out to every publishing house that would take it, and it wasn’t long until one reached out and wanted to release a book version of it. Another thing that had happened was Celine was back in her life. A year after the previous events, the two were both single. Both ready for relationships. Both… ready for each other. Which is why… a few months ago Anna proposed to the girl… though that was a story for another time.

In any case, the brunette was currently standing in a yacht with her fiance who had disappeared to see if there were fries anywhere. In any case, Anna had a glass of wine in her hand as she looked around the room. Though there was one particular person that brought a sour expression on her face. Walking toward the man, Anna stood next to him taking a simple sip of her drink. “Never expected you to be here… though out of everyone here, I guess the two of us are the people who were least expected. Isn’t that right, Malachi?” Anna questioned, finally looking at the man with a raised eyebrow.

Anna had done a lot of reflection over the year and understood the extent of her mistake to what she did to Jess. But Kai could never say that he wasn’t just as much at fault. “Why the bloody hell are you even here, Malachi? Don’t you have… I don’t know… like a kingdom to run or something? You’re still doing that right? The prince of that tiny country in the middle of nowhere Europe? How’s that gig going?”

Jezebel Mallory Parker

It was a strange feeling to be on a boat with everyone Jezebel had graduated high school with. So much time had passed since graduation, so it was an odd feeling to be around so many she hadn’t seem in years. Maybe that was what led Jezebel to simply wander until she heard a piano, and upon approaching the room, it was clear who was playing the piano and singing a song that she had never heard, Jordan Williams. There was that small part of Jezebel that considered turning and walking away while she still could, before he could see her there. They had seen each other a handful of times over the years, but they had never spoken since that day he found out about the baby. Jezebel just never knew what to say. There weren’t words for it, and she could still picture the hurt in his eyes that day. Yet, Jezebel found herself still stepping closer. She couldn’t have known of the song’s connection to her, but it wasn’t hard to feel it when the words, in so many ways, expressed the way she felt, something which was only exemplified by the fact that it was Jordan there. There was so much that she would change if she could have, so that they could have had a life together, with kids and each other. Though, the song soon came to an end, and Jordan noticed her. “I was just… walking by and I heard the song… best one I’ve ever heard you do…” she paused before adding, “Sorry though, I didn’t mean to interrupt…” Even after ten years, she still had no idea what to say to him. There wasn’t that ease where they could talk about anything, or even nothing at all, like they had so long ago. He was still Jordan, the same Jordan she loved and would never entirely stop loving, but it had been so long…

Have you ever heard that the goal in life is to laugh forever with someone you take seriously? Or maybe you’ve heard that a relationship should be filled with a lot of laughter, smiles, and 0rgasams. Did Riker Tayor search up motivational laughter and relationship quotes to start this statement off? Yes, yes he did. But did make sense. Yeahhhh. Hell yea. Because both of those statements related so well to his relationship with Elodie DeLougrhey. Pure joy… pure happiness couldn’t be quantitated into a single word. His relationship with Elodie couldn’t be quantified just like that.

But here’s what he knew for sure. The past ten years had been amazing. Had been overwhelmingly filled with love… with laughter… with friends and family that he never wanted to let go of. The year after graduation, Elodie DeLoughrey had gone to a fancy-schmancy school in Europe. And well… let’s just say, Riker didn’t have that much to do so for a while, he followed her. After all, they had just started their relationship and honestly, he wanted to see where it went. So for a few months; Riker stayed with Elodie in her apartment. Supporting her as she went to class, and while she was busy, going on a crazy adventure in Europe. But here’s the thing. For the first time in a long time, after these adventures, Riker always had a place to go to at the end of the day. There was once a time that Riker would allow his adventures to take him wherever they desired. But now… he didn’t want to leave. He had someone, a beautiful girl to tell about his day. And let’s be honest, every damn day was a crazy adventure. Months of bliss. That was the only thing he could say to explain those days after graduation. Though soon, as Jordan finished his album, recorded it, and released it to the public - there were tours. Signings. And time away from Elodie. They still talked many days, face-timing as they did when she was in high school, and him visiting her every damn moment he got a chance. Well, when he wasn’t visiting the beautiful Ziah McAllister… god bless her soul… a girl he missed every single day. Though… that was something to talk about another day…

And perhaps it was just a general state of bliss that everyone was in? Riker was happy and in love with Elo, Jordan was finding happiness with Sadie who Riker adored, Ziah was happy with Andy and her baby Kaya, and Dorian was with Jess. Everyone was just happy and Riker fcking loved it. And for Riker… that only grew with a phone call he had gotten on tour with the simple message of “I need you to come back now… we need to talk.” Though… there was anxiety at first at what Elo wanted him for. Riker had returned the instant she had asked… but could anyone blame him for worrying that what she was going to tell him was going to be bad. That all the bliss he was in was going to end. It was around this time that bliss did start ending… Dorian and Jessica had broken up, and Riker had tried to console his friend, Dorian, though the man continually stated he was fine. It was sad since Riker actually liked Jessica and Dorian together. Knowing both of them for years, he was honestly in the #Jorian fan club. The two were simply happier together and anyone could see that… and hear that. Let’s not talk about the time Riker heard the two of them having sex… not fun. Well… fun for them. Not for Riker. Which is why he started a guitar solo to block out the noise and LET them KNOW he could HEAR them. Did they stop tho? No. How rude.

Anyways, after that breakup… perhaps there was a worry that he was next. That Elo was done with him. And if she was… Riker would be broken. Because out of everything else he had ever experienced… Riker loved the hell out of her. He loved her fully. 110%. Okay look Riker was never good at math. 110% probably didn’t exist but HEY he felt it. His whole heart belonged to a beautiful girl that he would give the world to.

So when he got the red eye… getting to Elodie as quickly as possible what he hadn’t expected was for her to say the words “I’m pregnant,”. Remember when Riker said there was no way to quantify how happy Riker had been over the past few years. There was no hesitation as Riker wrapped his arms around his girl, spinning her around with joy… before doing a few other things on a bed but we don’t talk about that. You just had to be there okay?

In any case - it wasn’t long until Riker led his beautiful girlfriend to a beach where he proposed to her. Would anyone expect any different? If you did, YOU CLEARLY HAVEN’T BEEN READING RIKER’S POSTS AND CAN GO THE HELL AWAY BECAUSE BEACH = RIKER, AND WE ALL KNOW THAT. God. Riker spent the next few months doing everything he could for Elo through the pregnancy process and soon… they had two little girls in their lives. And Riker couldn’t have been happier. He was in love with three girls. His soon-to-be wife, and his two babies - Amelia and Phoebe. For a while, as Elodie finished college - Riker became a stay-at-home dad and honestly; the best damn job Riker had ever had. And after a few years, when the two girls could walk - he finally took his girl down the aisle - marrying the girl he loved so damn much with their twins being the flower girls at their wedding. Have you ever seen those two walk down an aisle. The MOST adorable thing in the world.

And since then, since the two of them become Mr. and Mrs. Taylor-DeLoughrey, that happiness had only grown. His love never dissipated. Sure their relationship wasn’t perfect - no relationship is ever without it’s fights and flats - but Elodie was his life. And, she always would be. It was what was going through his mind as he woke up the day of the reunion. His Elodie in his arms. Riker kissed her forehead, moving his lips down to her neck smiling as he heard the soft moans leave her mouth. She was and forever would be his everything. Getting up, Riker whipped up breakfast for his three girls, meeting his beautiful wife in the bedroom with a glass of coffee to wake her up - before going out to get a quick morning “surf” in after kissing his daughters and son. Yes, YOU HEARD RIGHT THERE’S ANOTHER BABY, son, who was born a few years ago.

Elodie was going to drop the kids off at her parents and then meet the man at the yacht, but really, Riker was going to get his wife a gift. Technically… this was the anniversary of the first day Riker had met Elodie. And the cheeseball he is, Riker had to celebrate every occasion. Walking into the Jeweler, Riker smiled at the necklace he had bought his wife.

Picking it up; Riker paid the man, before taking his cycle and driving to the yacht - walking onto the boat. Though not seeing his wife yet, the man sent her a text before looking around the room. A soft smile on his face when he saw Yara Keller. The two were still close, though it had been a few months since they had seen each other. He had reached out after her divorce and the two talked though besides then, the two both had been busy.

Walking towards her, Riker grabbed the champagne out of her hands and smiled. “WOahhh thank you miss. I’ve been dying for a drink. Do you take tips?” Riker asked with a soft laugh, a joking tone playing upon his lips.

“I was just… walking by and I heard the long… best one I’ve ever heard you do…”

Was it bad that his heart stopped hearing her voice. The first time in 10 years he had heard her voice directed at him and he could still feel a pang of his heart aching. Jordan looked away for a second, trying to figure out what to say. What was there to say? Ten years. Ten years of him ignoring her… of him not even inviting her to his wedding because honestly - her presence just hurt him. And in a way, though dimmed in comparison, it did still hurt. “Right… thanks,” Jordan stated, still not looking at her - though trying not to show how much it meant that she liked that song. Her song. He listened to her apology though he didn’t know what to say.

It felt a if their relationship had shifted so damn much over the past decade. There was a time that it didn’t matter what they discussed. It could be anything… everything. And Jordan would love the simple ease of her voice. Of just talking to the girl. But now… god they couldn’t even say hi without it being awkward. Taking a deep breath, Jordan turned back towards her. They were adult. They should act like it right?

“I really appreciate that, Jezebel. How are you doi…” Jordan started, but looking at her he stopped. “I’m sorry, Jezebel, I just… I can’t do this,” Jordan stated after a moment, walking down the steps and making hi way towards the exit. But as he went to push on the door - it was stuck. The man gulped looking at the door and trying again. He didn’t know what had happened, but it seemed when Jezebel came in , the door had jammed… meaning… they were stuck… sh!t.

“I… I can’t open it…” Jordan said after a few seconds, putting his face in his hands. Jordan had avoided this argument for a decade. And perhaps it was time to finally have it… but maybe part of him would never be ready. “I guess we just have to wait for someone to unjam it…” Jordan whispered, more to himself than anything else. “Hello? Anyone?” Jordan yelled, knocking on the door from his side -though after about 10 minutes and hearing an announcement for everyone to go to the deck for departure, he had a feeling it would be a while before anyone found them. Yep… shi!t was the right word…

And then, Jordan did simply took a seat on the stage, glancing at Jezebel every few seconds - but for a long time, neither said anything. He had attempted to call someone, but there was no signal. “Fine… clearly someone wants us to have this conversation…” Jordan aid after a few moments… feeling this festering… frustration within him as he sat next to Jezebel.

“I loved you, Jezebel, god I would have done anything for you. Why the hell didn’t you tell me you were pregnant. I would have done anything you wanted I just… I don’t know was I just a fool in thinking you cared about me enough to tell me before making that decision? Because I cared about you more than anything else in the world and that day, you broke me,” Jordan let out after about an hour of silence.

”Yeah yeah, good for you. Do you have a point or are you just in it to be a 12 year old b!tch on her period? Because you’re doing a great job in that.” he muttered at Daniel’s ramblings on something something and kardashians ”I do what I love, I don’t care what you think about it, and I’m not going to stop even with my other career because this is what I want to do and you can go fcuk off for all I care. Go save little girls to try to prove you’re a good guy, news flash, you’re not. Who are you trying to fool?” he wasn’t in the mood for a fight when he first walked into the yacht, but being stuck it a closed space with Daniel had its effects on him, years and years of Daniel b!tching about him and for what? It wasn’t even Andy’s fault it was always Daniel’s, because that little piece of sh!t can’t keep it in his pants regardless of who it is. And Andy didn’t like that, especially not in his house.

”How the fcuk am I being delusional? Because I don’t want some d!ck to trash the woman I love? How would you feel if people started trashing Valerie if she died? Five years isnt the point that doesn’t change, if you had a heart you’d know that” he added and walked away and around the small room ”Honestly, sometimes I wonder how the hell she married you, she’s way out of your league.”

“You just had to fcking close the door didn’t you, Mcidiot? You’ve really fcking down it now,”
”Fcuking hell.” he muttered ”Maybe this will teach you not to go into things you’re not allowed to” he pointed ”You know, staff only rooms, 14 year old girls… things like that”

Gio chuckled at Luciano’s offended comment ”Don’t worry, I’m just kidding” he said ”Why would I try to get rid of the best thing in my life?” he asked. And frankly, it was true, his little family was all he ever wanted and never really knew just how much he needed it, Luci and Mila, they were his rock, his motivation and reason to get up and smile. He couldn’t even begin to imagine what his life would have looked like without them, and luckily he didn’t have to.

His career was a different story, and that was going pretty well as well, both in the drag section and the makeup section. In the past years he had gotten the opportunity to do so much, learn from the best teachers, work with celebrities and whatnot. It was just a dream come true with the effort of some hard work on the way, and he couldn’t ask for any better.
”Awe stop you’re making me blush” he smirked. Ten years, and Luci still had the power to make him blush with just a few words, a touch, it never lessened, he was still in love with him like day one, but more and more with each day. Luckiest man out there? You sure bet he was.

“Back then… did you think that your life would be like it is now?”
Gio’s lip side curved upwards a bit with a small huff of air out his nose ”Not even in my wildest dreams” he admitted ”This, my life, our life, it’s just so much better than anything I ever imagined having.” he told him, taking his gaze away from the sea from a moment to look at his beautiful husband ”I wish Aline was here though… she’d enjoy this” he added quietly, even though that was just sad, it was also true, and he missed Aline with all his heart.

@unsungcheerio hey I missed this notification too :v:t4:

“Did your remarks get any better over the last 10 years, or are you using the same period sh!t you used in high school because this is just sad, Andy,” Dan stated, rolling his eyes with his next motion about him trying to ‘prove himself’ to someone. Honestly? He wasn’t. Dan had this program for years. He didn’t need to prove himself to idiots like Andy McAllister -just like he didn’t need to prove himself 15 years ago when Andy kicked him out after thinking he had sex with his sister. As if - Daniel had morals. But it was clear Andy only had a one-dimensional way of thinking.

“I’m not trashing her, darling, I’m stating facts. I think it’s so interesting you bring up Valerie, do pray tell what you’re going to ‘trash’ her with.” Dan said with a raised eyebrow. Was he angry? Slightly - but he wasn’t going to let it show to the idiot in front of him. But in an odd way - Andy’s words made sense to Dan, despite his low understanding of emotional situations. He would never stop loving Valerie - it didn’t matter if she was gone, though Dan would never let anything happy to hi wife. “And I know she’s out of my league, is that the best come back you have?” Dan asked as the issue became shifted to the locked door.

“I DIDN’T SHUT THE FCKING DOOR,” Dan stated. He did walk in, though he had left the door open. “You didn’t have to follow me to continue those pointless arguments and are your really bringing that up again?” Dan stated, his frustration clearly showing at this point. “You know what, fck it Andy, I don’t care anymore. I didn’t screw your sister more than a decade ago. I didn’t touch your sister more than a decade ago. The fact that you still believe that to this day shows how idiotic you are.” Dan stated. He knew Dan hinted at this during a game of truth or dare years ago, but the two had never actually discussed it. “Do you want to know exactly what happened that night? or do you want to continue to believe this lie that has festered in your mind that I"m a terrible person who deserves terrible things? You know what. Never mind. You don’t deserve it.” Dan stated after a few seconds, going to the side of the room, and sitting down against a wall with his eyes closed. Stainless steal door meant knocking on it, no matter how loud, wouldn’t get anyone’s attention. In other words, this room was practically soundproof. Though it was fine - staff had to do a check on the engine room twice a day meaning sooner or later, they’d be let out.

Elodie May DeLoughrey
coming back with another playlist

{ Edith Whiskers - Home }
Did Elodie have the happiest life out of the whole family? It sure seemed like that, and she wouldn’t disagree. She spent the whole summer at home, last free days with her family before moving to London for a couple of years to attend college, but she wasn’t alone there. Truth be told, she wouldn’t survive a day there if she was alone if she didn’t know anyone. There never was a day when she was alone, at least not in high school - she always had Dorian with her, before he saw a cheerleader and went after her, but whenever there was trouble he’d always be there. Now she couldn’t have him, just some friends like Daniel, even Jessica who her brother was dating, and Riker, the most important person in her life at that point. And now, 10 years later.
She also tried to spend time with her friends before she left, tried to fix her friendship with Kara but in the end it didn’t really work. There were many times when Elodie forgave her for all the stupid things she’d done but that was enough. The two went their own separate ways and Elodie hadn’t heard from her. The only way for her to know what was happening with her old best friend was through Instagram, as sad as it sounds. But for a while she had to leave everything behind as she found herself in an apartment she shared with her boyfriend before he had to go on a tour - best days of that year. Not just that year but every year that came after, every year spent with him. A home they made for themselves, a place for both of them to come back to each other after a long day. For Elodie to welcome him back with a tight hug or something else when he’d come back from his little adventures. Two beautiful years filled with so much love, laughs, happiness… That was never what she expected would happen. She thought she would finish high school and then focus on college but this, what she got, was way better. She never really knew love before, knew what being in love felt like but that was it - she was madly in love with him. And I would mention how she became good friends with Harry Styles and how amazing it was to shoot a music video with him but this is not the time for that story.

{ Taylor Swift - Lover }
Elodie would never admit it but it was hard when Riker wasn’t around, no matter how much they’d talk or facetime it was difficult not having him around constantly. Being alone at night, doing things alone or without someone around her. It shouldn’t have been that way but every time he’d come back for a few days that would just make it harder, he’d have to leave again and she’d be all alone all over again. But she was happy for him and Jordan, for what they were doing and maybe that’s why she never said anything, why she let him enjoy their tour without worrying about her…Well, that was before she found out she was pregnant. When the first thought that crossed her mind was to tell him to come back as soon as possible, not explaining it because she was panicking. Yeah, she… she was panicking. Don’t blame her. Being so young and pregnant while still in college was scary. Being alone and away from her parents, her boyfriend when she found out was scary. Especially when they didn’t plan that and it was hard to really think about what was happening when she had no idea how Riker would react. Yes, she was happy but… terrified. So she not so patiently waited for him and as much as she wanted to act like nothing was happening, pretend she was calm, the moment he walked through the door she ran to wrap her arms around him, staying quiet for a while before sharing the big news. And never did she expect that she’d be having a child at such a young age… Not just one, but twins. Two beautiful girls that right away became her whole world but there were so many other things that came before that. This new and unfamiliar happiness she was feeling, having to finish her classes online later, having Riker by her side all the time making sure everything was alright… It couldn’t be better and the fear she had in the beginning now only seemed funny. It also didn’t take Riker long to propose to her, at a beach as one would expect but it was absolutely perfect. He could’ve done anything and it would still be perfect because that’s all she really wanted now. And have you seen him with kids? His kids? Yeah, you’d fall in love too. Best stay at home dad. Then came the wedding with the cutest little flower girls. End of college. Moving to South Africa for a bit and being with his family and let me tell you… she adores them. Another kid… yeah, little baby boy this time, almost the same time Dylan had his son. Their whole family was growing, but Dorian…?

{ Coldplay - Fix you }
It wasn’t a secret Dorian wasn’t happy. It was obvious from the way he acted and what he decided to talk about whenever the whole family would get together. Plus she heard about some things from her mother, like the time when Jessica broke up with him. Maybe other people couldn’t see that but she could, she knew him so well. Knew how much he was actually happy at that time. And it’s not a secret Elodie was never a big fan of Jessica, at least she didn’t like her as much as she once used to but she made her brother happy and that’s all that mattered. She appreciated her for that and if it meant Elodie wouldn’t be the favorite girl in the family anymore she would still take it. Especially after she found out from Dylan what actually happened that one day and how she only ended up being a really bad friend. But Dorian… Elodie has seen a lot from him, seen what he was like when he was happy, sad, mad but that… she has never seen him like that. That pure happiness… he had it, and she was so happy for him. It was what she wanted him to have and no matter what others would think or what he would think, it was what he deserved. She didn’t know how devastated he was, he never wanted to talk about it but she could see it, and she felt the same way. She’d always want him to have everything that was good and seeing him sad only broke her heart. It took a while for him to open up to her, to share his thoughts and feelings and Elodie was always there to listen. Always begging him to visit her wherever she was, always visiting him and being a person he could rely on. But there wasn’t much she could actually do and no matter how much she tried to help, she could only be his sister and a friend, someone who would listen. Maybe that’s why she wasn’t so supportive of his relationships, why she later didn’t think marrying a girl he didn’t even know that well was a good idea… she knew what his true feelings were and she didn’t want him to make a mistake he would regret. And she told him that multiple times but he didn’t listen… or she thought he didn’t before she found out he broke off that engagement. But did she know the real reason? No, that he never told her. He also never told her the real reason why he broke up with Clio. That really was just his little secret.

{ Harry Styles - Kiwi }
Ten years have passed and Elodie was happier than she ever was - a loving husband, three beautiful kids, moving back to Beryl and being closer to her family again, a job she always wanted. It wasn’t long before the reunion that they moved to Beryl, bought a nice house and planned to stay there, raise their family there. The twins started school and Xander kindergarten, with someone she never expected. Yara and her baby boy moved back to Beryl as well. It was nice to know another mom, have your child have a friend from the very begging. Nice knowing that mom was her very good friend and her kid would have a friend that’ll be just as great.
The morning of the reunion she let Riker do his thing but wanted to make sure he doesn’t end up being late, even if they were supposed to meet up there, as she drove the kids to her parents and stayed there for a few hours. In a house she grew up in, her room that didn’t change at all - she always felt strange being there and seeing how much her life has changed but she loved that life, it truly was a life she always wanted. Cuddling on a couch with sleepy Xander, with a soft smile she was watching her girls and parents at the dining table, while her idiot was missing… well, probably surfing and she was just hoping he wouldn’t lose track of time. It is something she got used to and knew when to expect and honestly, she didn’t mind it. She loved everything about him, even the annoying little things he would do, all his quirks and silliness. He was the only man she ever loved with every fiber of her being and the only man she ever will love. She always reminded him of that - when she woke up, went to bed or left the house, followed by a soft kiss and a smile. But he wasn’t the only one that was constantly getting that reminder. She was showering her kids with love and affection, making sure they were always happy, as much as she was.

So, a boat? Nothing she wasn’t expecting from a reunion and don’t tell the kids but having two days off didn’t sound so bad. They were safe with her parents and she was here with Riker, seeing her old friends after such a long time. Being in South Africa and coming back only recently, starting her job and not helping her dad just online, she didn’t really get a chance to see anyone until now. And can you imagine the surprise on her face when she received a text from her husband while she was still in the car, saying he was already there? Wow. Impressive. So with a sweet smile, she walked onto the boat, immediately being met with many familiar faces she hasn’t seen in a long time.

”I’m not going to trash Valerie, that wasn’t my point. She’s my friend I’m not that much of a piece of sh!t” he responded to Daniel’s question. Well at least he was aware she was out of his league, that was already a good start.

But that didn’t bother Andy as much as trying to understand WHO THE FCUK invented doors that don’t open on the inside, and why did they have those on a stupid boat with no reception. It wouldn’t matter to him that much if he wasn’t bloody stuck behind one of those with no other but Daniel fcuking parker. ”You don’t get to complain I didn’t come to this stupid reunion and decided to come insult you out of nowhere, believe me I have things I’d rather do than this. I’d rather do pretty much anything over this” he muttered

And then he said it. Bringing them all these years back to the day their friendship turned into the hate spreaded over the years, the day Andy chose his family over his best friend without even knowing there wasn’t even supposed to be a choice there, as it was all a misunderstanding. Andy was confused in a way, relieved, lowkey frustrated, and many other things in between. ”Then what the fcuk is your problem with me?” he asked with a frustrated tone You admitted to it. You let me believe in it all these years and for what? What did you get from that because I don’t see how any part of your story makes sense”

“Right, that’s what I thought” Dan said with a roll of his eyes as he settled into his corner with a childish huff. So that was the ongoing question. Why the hell did Dan hate Andy so much. Do you want the honest truth? The truth he never told anyone. Hating was easier than explaining… than trying to make friendships work. Especially friendships that were so damn ready to fall apart that Andy had the audacity to even think that Dan would do that to him. That’s why you could only ever trust family. That’s why his closest friends were like family to him.

So with Andy’s question, Dan imply rolled his eyes agains. “You said it yourself, McAllister. I’m just an assh0le. I always have been, always will be.” Dan stated - not wanting this conversation to go any longer. “If you don’t mind, McAllister, I rather sit here in silence than talk to you because you are a waste of breath,”

Jezebel Mallory Parker

Ten years. Ten years since Jezebel had last said anything to Jordan. It just hurt too much. Being around him, or even just hearing about him, still hurt. So many memories Jezebel had were tied to Jordan, so many of some of her best memories were tied to Jordan, but with the good comes the bad and some of her most painful memories were tied to Jordan just as much. It had been so long since the days where just the sound of his voice, his genuine smile, and the feeling of him pulling her close was all she needed to be at ease, and let all her worries slip away. For so long, he was her best source of comfort, but that had changed so much. They could barely be in the same room together, let alone try to speak to each other, it was too painful. Something that was clear as Jordan tried, but just couldn’t. Neither of them really could… but it seemed they had no choice but to be stuck with each other as the door was stuck. Any efforts made to try and get someone to help and let them out, to get the door open, were of no use, they wouldn’t be leaving that room any time soon. They found themselves sitting nearby each other, sharing the occasional glance in each other’s direction, for who knows how long, but not speaking. That is until Jordan finally broke the silence by mentioning that it seemed like there was no choice but to have that conversation. Even before any other words followed, Jezebel knew what conversation it would be. One that she knew she needed to have with him, but she knew the truth would come out if they talked. Jordan would know the truth that killed her inside. Jezebel brought her eyes to meet Jordan’s, and if he still knew anything about her, he would see that she was hurting. Just thinking about what happened still hurt her worse than most anything else. “Jordan… You knew me better than anyone else in the world, do you really think I didn’t want to tell you? If you really think that that, did you really know me at all? I almost told you that day at the airport, but I didn’t want to keep you from going and I was scared. I didn’t know what to do, but I wanted to tell you. You were the first person I wanted to tell about being pregnant, Jordan. I was planning on telling you, but then… I couldn’t…” Jezebel trailed off at the end, thinking of why she couldn’t tell him.

Narration:

They say life is a series of choices. Of decisions. One change. One moment. That’s all it takes to alter everything in your life. Now here’s the thing… actually… before I start, I will make a disclaimer. I’m simply the messenger. I went to Narrator school, not parallel dimension school. So, I don’t know all the intricacies of what I’m about to reveal. But here’s the synopsis. There are an infinite number of universes. Any decision that you’ve ever thought about - there is a world in which it occurred. Have you ever wondered “what if I…” well. Hate to break it to you. You did. In another world. You chose the other path. Is this confusing you? Well – it’s complicated. Kind of the reason I went to Narrator school instead and now I’m here talking to all of you individuals in a particular universe I was assigned to.

But let me explain this in a way that maybe you’d understand. In the topic of our lovely friends who live in Beryl; there is a universe where Daniel Parker never lost his sister. There’s a world where he was the one to get kidnapped instead, and rather than Daniel Parker attending Cerulean High, the lives of students were filled with Charlotte Parker. There is a world where Sadie and Dorian ended up falling for one another. Having 2 beautiful children of their own. There is a world where Ziah never died, and instead, it was Andy who left thi world. Hell, there’s a world where no one you know and love exists.

But in this series, I have a particular individual in mind. Jessica Pierce. We’ve all seen her struggle. Her life to its entirety. Have you ever wondered what would have happened if she never returned to Cerulean High? What if she never left in the first place. Hell, have you ever wondered what would have happened if Jessica was the triplet to die? A constant universe. Choices, decisions, mistakes. All changed with the flick of a wrist. The moment she was stabbed. A few millimeters to the right and her child would have survived. The decision to go to the doctor when she was pregnant with Dorian’s children. What would have happened?

So – out of sheer boredom of my job. I will narrate it. I will show you her life in another universe. In a parallel dimension. Where one decision was changed. Where she did one thing different in her life. And where that led her.

I hope you enjoy. I simply do not get paid enough for this.

To be continued…

Dorian DeLoughrey

It was supposed to be a good day, fun day. It sure started like that, even his conversations with people he hasn’t seen in a while weren’t that disappointing, putting to the side all the things he was hoping he wouldn’t need to talk about. But for many different reasons the day was good… that was until he walked away from Delilah and found himself wandering around the boat. Just like there were people he was genuinely excited to see again there were… well, there was one person he hoped he would avoid even if he knew he wouldn’t be able to do that. And we’re not just talking about the reunion. Daniel Parker always had a way of appearing when he was least needed and wanted. Was always there to remind Dorian how bad things were and how happy he was because of that, even if sometimes he didn’t know everything. Yes, that was possible but that never stopped him from playing this big genius.

Separating himself from everyone and walking into the unknown direction to just take a moment for himself, Dorian was too busy checking his phone and texts to see where he was. But even if he wasn’t doing that he would have no idea where he ended up and would still open the door that was right in front of him. A room in which he found his cousin and his biggest fan, Daniel. As he let the door close behind him, his first reaction was to subtly roll his eyes and ignore whatever they were trying to say before turning to leave, hoping he could just escape that situation but that wasn’t going to happen. The door was already closed and it didn’t take him long to realize it was not going to open again, no matter how many times he tried to push it. What a luck, huh?

Fck,” cursing under his breath, he faced the door, at that point regretting walking away from everyone and ending up in this beautiful situation before turning to look at Andy and Daniel with a forced smile. “Hello.”

“You said it yourself, McAllister. I’m just an assh0le. I always have been, always will be.”
Dan stated, but in that split moment, Andy found himself actually wondering if it was all just a mistake, a misunderstanding, a childish spat that was never meant to happen. When this whole thing started, Andy was simply trying to protect his little sister, even if it meant going against who was once his best friend. Because that was one thing the two had in common, they’d do anything for their family, family always have and always will come first. But what if she never needed protection and Andy was just being paranoid? Because somehow, it didn’t even matter how much he used to trust Daniel, in that moment he saw him with Nora, he didn’t think clearly, and every shred of common sense went down the drain in the matter of seconds. ”You weren’t always one” he said, ignoring the rest of what he said as going to the other side of the room and resting his back against the wall, hands shoved in his pocket hoping someone will show up and rescue them. And suddenly there was actually hope in sight as the door opened, his cousin Dorian walking into the room ”Dori wait- The door!” he called, but it was too late and the door closed behind him, adding yet another person to their little clubhouse ”Fcuk.” he muttered

Breathe in, breathe out

Dan’s eyes were closed, his cellphone in his hand after he attempted to send a message to his wife. Something along the lines of “please bloody send help. I’m stuck with a tattooed idiot in th engine room,”. Well… it was a little longer than that. But length didn’t really matter. It just needed a signal for a second and the message would be sent to his beautiful wife who would save him… right? Hopefully.

“You weren’t always one,”

Dan didn’t open his eyes with that sentiment. Perhaps Dan wasn’t always one towards Andy but there was another reason that Dan had let Andy believe what he thought he had seen that day. To Daniel Parker, family was everything. And if it was a choice between Andy’s sister and him, Daniel wouldn’t be making it. If Andy truly believed Dan was capable of fcking his underaged sister after Andy quite literally stepped out for a few moments to grab something - that was on him. It wasn’t on Dan to correct his mistake - nor would he. Because family mattered.

Though hearing the door open, Dan finally opened his eyes, assuming that it was one of the staffers - meaning escape. The two of them had been in the room no more than 10 minutes, but it was 10 minutes far too long. Though when he opened his eyes, Dan was rather met with that of a blonde buffoon. One that LET THE FCKING DOOR CLOSE. Soon reiterated as Andy screamed at the man - though to no avail. The door was closed. And now. NOW. Daniel Parker was stuck in a room with not only a tattooed idiot but also the OG idiot. “You have to be bloody kidding me. Is it just something that runs in your family or something? Do you all just have the idiot gene or something. For fcks sake DeLoughrey.”

Though within a second, Dan felt his phone buzz. It seemed the momentary door opening put the network back in motion. Though the message he saw from his wife was not one he appreciated. “Val,” Dan sighed, shaking his head as the girl instantly responded with “good luck with that”. A smiley-faced emoji next to it which implied she wasn’t going to be helping him. For fcks sake. He did raise his eyebrows at her condom comment. Funny, Val. REAL FUNNY. She was going to get it later hmph. Putting his phone down, Dan put a few things into motion that would send a message to the closest staffer the second they got a connection. But for now, it was simply a reloading phone with “no connection” showing.

“Well take a damn seat Dorian. It’s not like there’s anything else to do. I’m sorry, but sadly you won’t be able to take shirtless selfies in the bathroom until someone opens the door. I know how much you were probably hoping for that. Oh… how’s that ex of yours? Clio? I was hoping to get a wedding invitation but I was so saddened when I heard that you two broke up. What was it this time? Did she realize she was way out of your league? Thoughts Andy? I mean you are family - which I would say surprised me once upon a time but over the years you two have just started seeming more like each other on the moron scale. Thank bloody god that I got Jessica way from you,” Dan stated, stirring the pot as he finished the rest of the drink in his hand. Though clearly, he wished he had gotten more from the bar before getting stuck here.

The pain that resided in his eyes the day he learned of what Jezebel did found its way within his body once more. The anger, the frustration… but more so… the overwhelming sadness. Because more than anything, there was a time that Jordan would have done anything to have that with Jezebel. To have a family. To have her. Jordan was the happiest man in the world now. But that didn’t discount the fact that he once felt for Jezebel, what he now felt for Sadie. And those feelings could never fully dissipate. They couldn’t disappear into thin air. Maybe Jordan had kept her away, but that didn’t mean that part of him didn’t still love her. A person could never truly take their heart away from someone they willingly gave it to. And for some reason, Jezebel always had part of it in her hand.

“Jordan…”

What was he expecting? What did he even want to hear from her mouth? Honestly, after a decade… Jordan didn’t know. He knew she was right… he knew she was right about the fact that he knew her. And that’s why, for the last 10 years, he had been so confused. He never understood why she did it. How… she could do it to him.

"…I didn’t want to keep you from going and I was scared. I didn’t know what to do, but I wanted to tell you. You were the first person I wanted to tell about being pregnant, Jordan. I was planning on telling you, but then… I couldn’t…”

“Don’t use that on me, Jezebel. God. I didn’t care about going. I didn’t care about the job offer. I wouldn’t have even left you that day if I wasn’t doing it for you. To keep you safe.” Jordan let out, putting his head in his hands out of sheer frustration. “My father threatened you, Jez.” He let out after a few moments of silence. “He said that he was going to come after those I loved so I did the one thing I knew I could to keep you safe. I left. But I would have come back. I would have done anything for you, Jezebel. So don’t use that you didn’t want to keep me from going, Why couldn’t you tell me? Weeks? Months after I left. One text message Jez. One message that said I need you and I would have been there in an instant,” he whispered, his voice getting softer at the end. “I loved you more than I had ever loved anyone before. I loved you since I was 8 years old. I would have done anything for you. And a family with you. For the longest time that’s the only thing I ever wished for.” he muttered, his voice strained as he looked at her.

Dorian DeLoughrey

Ignoring Daniel’s snarky comment, something he just got used to by now, Dorian leaned against the door watching him struggle with his phone, obviously unhappy with what was happening. But so was he and Andy. Who could blame them? This was the worst thing that could’ve happened today… out of everyone. Everyone. It had to be the only person he couldn’t stand. “I’m sorry about this,” with a guilty smile, Dorian glanced towards Andy referring to him being there with Daniel for what he could guess a long time. But his attention shifted back to Dan as he began his little speech Dorian could only laugh at.

“I could always make you take them for me, wouldn’t you like that?” Stepping back from the door with a playful but forced smile, Dorian avoided looking at the man as he walked towards the opposite wall to sit down and lean back. Hiding how hurtful Daniel’s words actually were. It’s been a long time, Dorian was over what happened but he still couldn’t understand why and how someone could be so… rude and annoying. Especially repeating and bringing up the same thing over and over again. “Yeah, no wedding. Sorry to disappoint you, I was looking forward to you being there but she was just way out of my league. I love how you already know everything so I don’t have to explain it to you,” he laughed to himself before a certain thing Daniel said caught his attention. It didn’t have to mean anything but the way he said it made it seem like there was something much deeper than his happiness about Jess breaking up with Dorian. I got her away from you.

“What did you say?” Getting up, his playful act was quickly replaced with a serious expression; curious about what Daniel meant by that. Almost being scared of his answer… there were just many times when Daniel bragged about his power and claimed he would do anything to break the two apart. So it wouldn’t come as a surprise but it would certainly be very disappointing.
