Mmm, you make a good point there now.
Valerie nodded, but didn’t really have what to say anymore. Oh, don’t I know it.
She smirked “sure do” she said and looked at her as she finished the braid “pretty braid for a pretty girl” she added with a light smile
Hopefully It will be. As much as I don’t like to be involved in drama, I sure do like watching it. I’ll be the one eating the popcorn.
“Is the popcorn butter flavored?” She raised a brow “in that case I’ll join” she chuckled
“Oh yes, for sure. I probably wouldn’t mind it if it did happen.”
“Well it does sound like fun” she chuckled “the literal definition of life of the party” @angelic
“Well, I have to say that I admire your attitude, even if it is a bit…strange.” She said while giggling. This guy was interesting to say the least.
“Well? Care to elaborate?
Kara really didn’t want to explain what she heard about him since that would be un-classy of her, but she already dug herself into a deep hole. “Nothing specific…just that your douchebag, but I hear that about myself too, so I guess it doesn’t really matter.”
“I was hoping it wasn’t." Looking at the flowers in her hands, he commented to himself with a proud expression on his face before looking up to meet her eyes. Well, he knew it wasn’t too much. From what he knew girls loved gifts and little signs of appreciation so he wasn’t worried about that. Would she really be different and not like it? Even if she was he was just proud of himself for doing something to fix his image. “And you’re welcome, it’s nothing, really.” Shrugging his shoulders, he flashed her a soft smile, placing his hand on her forearm only for a second before moving it.
“I just hope he wasn’t bothering you,” referring to Lyonrad, he chuckled and leaned against the lockers, forcing himself not to look in the direction Lyonrad left. She could probably see the two of them didn’t like each other so he wasn’t careful with his words, but that wasn’t something he wanted to talk about now so he quickly came up with another question.
“So prom… Are you excited?” With a slight smirk, he crossed his arms over his chest, curious about her answer. He could already guess what she would say but he wanted to start a conversation about that, maybe as a little hint even if he still didn’t know what he should do. But that was the main reason why he was there - talking to her. “And what about your list? Was it disappointing?” Quickly throwing in another question, he chuckled.
Elodie was too focused on admiring the gift, too lost in her own thoughts to realize someone was standing right there, next to her, until they spoke up. “You scared me,” she whispered through a chuckle, her fingers still on the little star as she looked at Lyonrad, who she was just thinking about. Seeing him there made her smile even brighter. She knew the gift was from him, she couldn’t think of anyone else who would do that now and seeing him, asking if she liked it only confirmed that. “I do. Of course I do.” She quickly replied with a smile still on her face. “Thank you.” She quietly added, still playing with the stars as she looked up at his eyes dreamily. Her smile softened as she stayed like that for, what she felt like, a long time but it was just a couple of seconds before she turned back to look at herself in the mirror one last time, before closing it.
“I actually thought you wouldn’t do anything so I was pleasantly surprised,” chuckling, she admitted, turning to face him properly once again. “But I’m happy you did. I really appreciate it. You’re too sweet,” not taking the smile off her face, she took a chance to give him a hug, as a proper thank you.
“Happy Valentine’s day,” she quickly added as she pulled back, not wanting to force a hug when she didn’t know how he felt about it.
“Touche,” Daniel muttered as he drank his 7th? No 8th shot of vodka after losing in the game of poker once again to Jessica. No one could say the girl wasn’t a formidable opponent. Daniel had just finished his interview at Oxford hours earlier and didn’t have his next and last interview for another week which meant he could get as wasted as he wanted. What he didn’t expect was for him to be doing all the drinking as Jessica beat him various times at the game of poker. If he was less drunk, he would have imagined she was cheating but his drunken mind could barely form concrete thoughts let alone put 2 and 2 together to see if she was, indeed, playing underhanded poker.
“I don’t like this - I need a game where you cannn get to mmyyy level,” Daniel slurred resulting in a laugh from his cousin who took a shot in front of him.
“See - there’s a freebie for you,” she muttered before putting the cards away, “You’re right, beating you over and over again is getting kind of boring. How about Dare or drink?” she muttered and he smiled.
“Fine, Dare me up Jessssssiicaaa,”
“Okay Parker. I dare you to prank call the girl you got first on your Oh My Valentines - and no bullsh-t pranks either. I need you to commit.”
Rolling his eyes - as blurry as they may be - Daniel looked though his phone (a device that held the phone number of every student at Cerulean high) and called Ruby Danvers with a sigh - putting his tongue out at Jessica as his phone rung.
Waiting for the girl to answer, Daniel cleared his throat before hearing a subtle “hello” on the other end. “Hello - is this Ruby Danvers? This is Dr. Pierce from Formida Medical. I’m calling you today to notify you of your test results and it seems… you’ve tested positive for HIV and Syphilis. This call is to gain a point of origin - can you please notify us about your most recent sexual partners so we can also give them a call so they can schedule an appointment for their check-ups as well?”
Suddenly, Ruby’s phone rang. “Hold on.” She said to Dominic, pulling out her phone. “Hello? Yes…this is. I-what the fvck?! I haven’t had s*x in half a year!” She screeched, completely forgetting she was in public. “Fvcking jerk!!” She yelled, hanging up. She was practically shaking in anger, red in the face. She stormed off, going to the girl’s bathroom. @benitz786 - Daniel @Caticorn - Dominic Approachable
Jess rolled her eyes as Daniel decided to use the old “Dr. Pierce” trick and stood up pointing at her popcorn to let Dan know she was going to grab more snacks. Was she drunk? Nope. Was she drinking soda the whole night while Daniel thought she was shooting shots of cherry vodka? Yep. What? Don’t blame her - Jessica knew when it was time to get drunk and when it was time to take care of her friend and right now, Daniel was the one who needed to get blackout drunk. Not her. Especially with what Daniel had told her moments before she offered to play poker.
Walking to her kitchen in her flat - Jess put the popcorn in and moved to the side to DM Jezebel again. Though, Jessica had never been a big fan of technology - rather “living in the moment” so she mumbled a slight “screw it” and called the girl while Daniel was distracted.
Waiting for the girl on the other line to pick up she sighed, “So… how’s it going cuz?” Jessica started with a slight laugh, “That is I’m guessing technically now we’re related too so that’s cool. How are you feeling babes?”
Daniel’s eyes widened as the girl quite literally hung up on her and laughed slightly. “Well… that wass fast,” Daniel muttered - finding that Jessica was still busy getting food. “Oh what the hell,” Daniel muttered - calling the girl again though making sure this time his phone number looked different from her end.
Ruby’s phone rang again, and she sat down on the toilet, trying to answer as calmly as possible. “…hello…?” She said slowly. She was practically seeing red, the voices in her head screaming loudly. She closed her eyes, breathing slowly. @benitz786 - Daniel
Daniel smiled as the girl picked up for the second time. Had she not learned yet? Oh well. Mimicking an American accent, Daniel spoke into the phone “Hello, is this a Ru… rudy Danvers?” Daniel questioned messing her name up on purpose. “We have an order of 12 cheese pizza’s waiting outside a Cerulean High. Do you just wait out here for you? The order total is 143.45$ if you’re paying cash or card,”
Ruby blinked in utter confusion when someone asked her if she’d ordered twelve pizzas, messing up her name to boot. “No…I didn’t order all that pizza. Why would I? Also, it’s Ruby.” Sure he muttered, hanging up. “What is up with people today?” She muttered, putting her phone back. @benitz786 - Daniel
“What is up with this girl and the hanging up. Most people at least try to argue,” a sigh left his lips as he found Jessica to still be in the kitchen. “Jess hurry up with the damn snacks - I have dares for you,” Daniel screamed as he called the number one last time. Third time’s the charm…, right?
When the girl picked up, Daniel did his best radio station voice “Hello hello hello! Is this Ruby Danvers? If so you have the chance of a lifetime to win tickets to the upcoming Ariana Grande concert. Ruby, are you ready for the 9.784 Station Answer the question game? Alright - you have one minute to answer this question and if you get it right, you’ll get front row tickets and a VIP pass. Ready?”
Ruby’s phone rang, yet again. She answered, listening to some guy from a radio station. “I don’t like her, but I’ll give them to someone else. Ok, what’s the question?” She said, sighing. Might as well humor the guy… she thought. @benitz786 - Daniel
“Alright alright! Here is your question. If a cow laughed really hard, would milk come out of its nose? You have one minute to give us your final answer startinggggggg now!” Daniel stated, taking another shot of vodka as he waited to see what she would say.
Ruby blinked in confusion when the guy asked her some bizarre question about a cow. “Ummmmm…sure. I…guess it makes sense…I think my brain just melted.” She muttered. “Did I actually get that right? I don’t even think there’s a right answer to that.” She said, waiting for the answer. @benitz786 - Daniel
“And you answered that… INCORRECTLY. The correct response is that a cow can’t laugh so no milk would come out of its nose. We appreciate you trying and tune in next time to RADIO RADIO RADIO 97.84. Also, Ruby - Daniel Parker says hi,” Daniel stated - hanging up the minute he had said the last part.
The guy, who revealed herself as Daniel Parker, her first match, hung up after telling her the answer was wrong. She groaned, curling up on the floor. “Oooohhhh mmmmyyyy ggggoooodddd…” She groaned. She wasn’t really sure what to think. Sure she was pi$$ed, but that was also kinda funny. She sat up, walking out of the bathroom, rubbing her temples. @benitz786 - Daniel mentioned.
A part of Jez was still shaken up slightly from her earlier call with Daniel, and the back and forth comments between her and him. On the bright side, he finally unblocked her. On the not so bright side, Jezebel really felt like there was no way to ever have her friend back. He was never going to let her back in. Then there came a phone call she didn’t expect. It was Jessica calling her. By that point, Daniel would have told her his side of things, there was no way that Jessica wouldn’t know everything by then. She smiled at Jessica’s words. “Yeah, we are, I didn’t even think about that.” Jezebel let out a small sigh. “I could be better. Thats for sure, but I’m ok I guess. I hate what I did, but there’s nothing I can do now to change it.” She had a date that she didn’t want to mess up, so Jezebel was holding herself together to make it through. Until she either was actually better, or alone enough to not have anyone see her upset.
“Wow - you forgot about me? I don’t know if I should be offended or not,” Jessica laughed - pulling the popcorn out the microwave and placing it it in the large bowl along with a few gummy bears, chocolate, etc. The perfect movie snack - or go-to snack when you were high/drunk. Either or.
“I could be better. That’s for sure, but I’m ok I guess. I hate what I did, but there’s nothing I can do now to change it.”
A sigh left her lips as Jessica peered out to where Daniel had laid down, speaking on his phone - likely still doing his prank. “Yeah… I wish I could tell you it would all be okay but Daniel’s sitting in my living room right now drunk out of his mind so I can’t really go that route. What I can say is please don’t let that w-nker bring you down love. Daniel’s… Daniel and he’s a mess 99 percent of the time even if he won’t admit it but after his crazy brain of his stops over-analyzing this whole thing, he’ll be fine. I’ve planted a few seeds into his mind though I’m not too sure how well that’ll pick up since he’s currently pranking calling your classmates.”
Jezebel laughed with a smile. “Definitely couldn’t forget about you Jessica, it’s just still weird that I have even more relatives than just who I’ve always known, especially saying it.” Jezebel just nodded slightly. “Maybe one day… it will be alright… Hard not to let it bring me down though. Even with all of this he still probably cares more about me than my mom does…” she sighed. “He’s a mess, but he was a mess I could count on, who kept me from being a mess.” Jezebel shook her head with a sigh. Daniel was not only drunk, but prank calling. Daniel prank calling was one thing, but him drunk prank calling was absolutely hilarious with a side of crazy. “So I guess that’s what that was. Nobody wants to be on the receiving end of one of those. Funny as hell though, and you get a front row seat.”
