Aline Ribeiro
Holy f*ckity f*ck, so much had happened that Valentine’s that was nearly a month earlier. She had gotten flowers from Dorian of all people, and her brother had not only found out that his unrequited crush was, in fact, requited but also got a boyfriend that same day. Aline nearly died when she found out. She had badgered him for weeks after, and though he acted annoyed with her persistent questions and squeals, she knew that he enjoyed having someone to talk to about it, as it killed him to have to hide his relationship.
It was interesting to her, seeing him look happier than ever but also pained at having to keep the reason of his happiness a secret. She knew how much Luciano didn’t like closeted relationships but he seemed to be trying really hard to make it work. Aline had realized early on that Gio was really special to him. She had yet to talk to Gio about their relationship, but she would soon and then she would see for certain if he was as infatuated with Lui as he was with him.
She drove herself and Luciano to school today, but they parted quickly after entering the school. She assumed that he was off to do God-knows-what with Gio but there was a slight possibility that she was wrong. Though she highly doubted it.
Aline pulled out her phone to read the blog as she walked, reading the latest blog post as she moved. Her eyebrows lifted in amusement as she progressed through, snorting. She certainly had not anticipated this development, but it certainly was interesting to note. Similar to what had happened with Daniel and Jezebel, as the blog post had pointed out. Aline found it ironically amusing that Daniel, who knew the secrets of pretty much everyone in school, didn’t know this major secret about himself. She never would’ve guessed that anyone could withhold a secret like that from him, with all his resources, but obviously it was possible.
Distracted by her phone, she didn’t see the person walking right into her until she had already crashed into him. He caught her before she could fall, and while she was going to thank him, he started to mutter at her and she looked up at him, eyes flashing before she realized it was Daniel. The irritation dissipated and she smiled at him, a slight giggle escaping her lips as he pulled her into a hug. “Daniel!” She glanced at him, raising her eyebrows at the sunglasses on his face. “Sunglasses inside? Mm, going blind now?” He asked her how she was and she lifted a shoulder with a grin. “Been doing good, you? Exposed anything life-ruining recently?” She teased, a slight smirk forming on her lips. “I’d be jealous too, it was awesome,” she beamed, an excited glow washing over her face. “It was the funnest thing, I loved dancing with him.” He mentioned hacking a sneak peak and she frowned at him, playfully hitting him on the shoulder. “Hey, cheater! Seriously, you couldn’t wait some hours? No patience,” she tsked, shaking her head. “But it was great, so I can’t blame you for being so awed.” Aline laughed, giving him an amused glance. “If you’re the bar for a good dancer, then yeah, I’m sorry to say that everyone’s a better dancer than you.” Her mind flashed to the horrid moments she witnessed what could hardly be called “dancing”—and involuntarily shivered. “Yeah, you can’t dance. At all.” She added bluntly, giving him a consolatory pat on this shoulder. “It’s okay, we can’t all be perfect. Yes, I can though. I used to take lessons, you didn’t know? I was quite incredible.”
