Delilah Rose Hawthorne

Delilah disbelieved that Maverick actually wasn’t planning to ask her to the prom, and so she rolled her eyes at his claims that he wouldn’t have asked her. Of course now he wasn’t going to ask her, after she had rejected the idea. Sure, She sarcastically thought out loud, too self-obsessed to listen to Maverick’s arguments against the fact. Then Maverick turned around to her, entertaining the idea that Delilah could have asked him. “Please, you’re not nearly interesting enough,” Delilah stated, not considering for even a second going to prom with him, despite him being second on her list.

“So who were the other unfortunates on your Oh My Dollar Valentine list?” Delilah asked, though not really caring, and acting explicitly obvious of that fact.

“Thank you,” Calen replied, only focusing on the first part of what Kara said, ignoring the additional comment about it being strange. Admire. That was the keyword Calen always wanted to be said about him, even if it was just directed towards his attitude about something. Though he knew he was admired by his large and growing fanbase on Instagram, it had more meaning to him when it came from people at the infamous and elite Cerulean High.

As she vaguely told him what she had heard said, Calen gave a short laugh. “How boring,” He stated, knowing that Kara was holding back from what she had actually heard. But still, people were talking about him, even if it were just what she had said, it was still a success as people were thinking and talking about him. “Why do people say it about you?” Calen asked, wondering what she had been doing to get the attention from people.

“Definitely couldn’t forget about you Jessica, it’s just still weird that I have even more relatives than just who I’ve always known, especially saying it.”

“Awe love, you’re going to make me tear up and we both know I don’t cry. Well just keep in mind - our family is way bigger than just Daniel and I’m here if you need anything.” Jessica explained, rolling her eyes when she heard Daniel scream from the living room about what was taking her so long.

“He’s still a mess you can count on. If you really needed him, you know he’d be there right?” Jessica responded to her next sentiment before laughing, “Yes Daniel prank calling is a different breed of crazy. Anyways I should get back to the man of the hour. Talk to you later babes and keep your chin up. Have a great day,” Jessica laughed before closing the phone and walking back out to hand Daniel the bowl.

“Alright then - hit me with your best dare,”

Sadie Elizabeth Monroe

Sadie was no stranger to social media. In fact, she practically lives on here, as she has an obsessive need to stay in the loop and liking everyone’s posts to stay on their good side. So, Sadie had also seen some of the stories from that morning and had realised, after slightly too long, where she had seen flowers with the same person tagged in them. Sadie had no idea what to make of that fact, but to perhaps be slightly cautious, though she didn’t want to show that she was.

“Oh, no he wasn’t,” Sadie quickly replied, but then realising that it probably seemed as though she was siding with Lyonrad over Dorian. “He wasn’t really, I mean,” She rephrased, to make her seem less on a certain side of the rivalry.

He brought the conversation onto the topic that had been on almost everyone’s minds. Prom. Even those in the younger years were talking about it, about what the seniors would wear, who they would go with, who they would leave with, who would be Prom King and Queen. “Yeah, of course, I am,” Sadie replied, despite knowing she would sound predictable by doing so. “Yeah, it’d be my first prom. What about you, are you excited?”

Before she could say anything else, Dorian threw another question about her, this time about the Oh My Dollar Valentine. Sadie was unsure how to approach the question, though, since he was up there on her list. “It was… good, yeah. Not disappointing,” “Why, was it disappointing for you?”

Lyonrad’s smile turned more genuine—Elodie turned out liking what he got her. It was a relief for his part, especially when he actually took the time to think what she might like. His gaze was still on the girl for a good matter of seconds, admiring the soft look on her face only to shake his head in disbelief of whatever he’d just done. What was that? he thought, quick to sway away his thoughts. He chuckled, “Sorry for startling you,” he said, watching as Elodie’s fingers played on the pendant. Hearing her answer made him feel happy, a feeling he didn’t even notice he has right now. “I’m glad you do, you’re welcome.”

He chortled, taking Elodie’s statement like small humor. When it came to this, there was never a “not doing anything” as a choice—that’s what Lyonrad knows best. In his past games, that was always true… even now; it’s always been effective to please people. “Well, I like to do what I say,” he said, even more with a wide smile. His tone was with confidence, as if he was hinting his skill in this… matter. It was no wonder he is, honestly—Lyonrad’s known for having a head bigger than how its limit should be.

But today, that was different. His confidence… it seemed to be more like something he hoped would attract Elodie. He received Elodie in his arms warmly, taking the pinch of time given for a comfort, pulling back as she did. “Happy Valentine’s Day, too,” he replied, “Got any plans for today?”

Now Prom’s just around the corner, today is the day for all the overly-extravagant and somewhat futile promposals. Even if you were planning on going solo, the blog post that emerged with the day announced the opportunities for points that would force people to pair up and pretend they stand each other for one night, hoping you look convincing enough to win Prom King and Queen. Sounds like Prom will be one interesting night.

Ruby got out of her car, walking inside the school. She had her head down, quite depressed about the promposals. She knew no one would do one for her. Part of her cared, but she wanted to take to take that part of her and destroy it. She went to her locker to get her books, hood hiding her face.

Now that prom was approaching, Delilah actually had to find someone she didn’t hate to accept their prom invite. She was scrolling through her many notifications on her Instagram DMs, but they were all the same, desperate for even her attention. None even close to Delilah’s standards. And certainly not Prom King material. She rolled her eyes and sighed, hoping that more substantial suitors cross her path today that she would consider accepting.

Just as she was about to turn off her phone, an alert popped up on her phone that caught Delilah’s attention. Delilah didn’t even hesitate to click and read the blog post that appeared on her screen. Her eyes scanned the page. Several times.

Her arm holding the phone dropped to her side, Delilah not wanting to see the revelation again. She had expected this would come out sooner or later. No, she didn’t care as much as she probably should - well, that certainly was the impression she was going to give off, at least. However Delilah was more so unsure about what this meant for her. Probably an argument with Candice, yes - nothing new there. But also how Candice’s mother would react to this when she saw it. Perhaps in her favour?

Walking down the corridor felt a lot different to Delilah, the eyes were on her for a less admiring reason and she had more than the usual number of people approaching her today. She rejected all with the statement ‘No questions,’ and turning her back to them. Delilah arrived at her locker, looking down at her phone to make herself look busy while she prepared her mind for the inevitable discussion with Candice she had been anticipating for years now.

Parking her car, CC nerves kicked in as she looked towards the entrance of the school. Candice hadn’t been back at school for two months. Within that time she hadn’t seen or spoken to any of her friends… besides Val when she snuck in for ten minutes a month ago. Not to mention the strict rules her mother had given to her about who she could, and couldn’t talk to anymore. And, on the top of that list, Candice was forced not to have any interactions with Maverick. Knowing her mother, Lily-Ann likely had paid a few of the professors off to make sure this was the case and with the impending threat, Candice couldn’t risk it… as much as she missed her friend Mav.

Taking a deep breath, Candice left her car and begin walking towards the school, waving at the surprised faces of her reappearance. CC had no doubt in her mind that no one expected her to come back… well ever. And honestly, Candice was surprised as well. As she walked through the hallways, she could almost feel all eyes towards her - though, as per usual, she ignored it. That was until she heard her phone dingggg alongside everyone else’s - meaning only one thing - Blue Royalty.

Candice had only just limited gotten access to her phone that morning, limited meaning her mother could see all texts she was sending as well as outgoing calls, and location; a simple fix with the help of Daniel, though she needed to find him first. Though what she saw on her phone caused her eyes to widen.

She read the text once, twice, almost fifteen times before it had completely soaked in. Placing her phone in her pocket, Candice attempted to hold in her frustration and anger. It all made sense - the reason Delilah just stopped talking to her randomly 12 years ago.

Taking a deep breath, Candice walked with an air of purpose towards Delilah’s “Sharpay” lockers - and slammed them once she reached the girl. “What the hell Delilah? Is it true?” Candice uttered, fury within her eyes though she hid it well.

Putting his sunglasses on, Daniel walked inside the school for the first time in months. Yes, he was that guy, the one who wore sunglasses inside with no care in the world… well, at least there was somewhat of a reason for it. He was getting over a hangover he had the night before after visiting his cousin again. After visiting her a month ago, he found himself depending on her more and more - what he once used to do with Jezebel, though this posed a bit more difficult since he had to either fly her out or fly himself out to her. This time it was the other way around with the girl sleeping off her own hangover in his house. Walking towards his lockers - which did, in a way, prove difficult with the sunglasses - he finally made his way there and opened the lock-up. Slightly distracted by his phone when he saw a buzz, a laugh left his lips with the revelation that Delilah and Candice were sisters - something he’s known about for years though kept his mouth shut on. Though, he didn’t appreciate the reference to his own issue with that Sloane girl.

Well, you could say someone should have told him not to “text and walk” because a moment later he felt his body plummeting into that of another. “F*ck,” Daniel muttered - his head pounding as he caught himself before he fell and the girl as well. “What the hell… .why don’t you wat-” he stared before he realized who it was. “Oh, Aline, love!” Daniel laughed, pulling her in for a hug, “How have you been? I heard Jordan’s featuring you on his new music video that comes out tonight. Can I just say I’m jealllouuus,” Daniel started, “I hacked a sneak peak and it looks great - didn’t know you could dance. But apparently everyone can dance better than I can,” Daniel laughed, leaning against the lockers as he attempted to keep his headache in control

It was only a few moments before she was approached by Candice Clarke. Not only was she back, which was annoying on it’s own, but she was back with knowledge of something Delilah had kept secret for years. The locker doors she had just opened were slammed close by Candice and Delilah looked up to temporarily avoid the conversation. No, Delilah had never seen Candice like this before, though she had frequently imagined in this conversation her like this, and the reality matched up almost perfectly. “Welcome back, Candice,” Delilah quietly said, facing her locker still.

Though it seemed for too long that Delilah was just going to leave it with that answer, she finally turned to face Candice picking up a completely nonchalant attitude as she did, her arms folded. After the revelation had been so publicly shared, everyone with a phone was looking in their direction, waiting for Delilah’s explanation that Blue Royalty had told them would come. “Yeah, it’s true, so what?” Delilah replied, defensively.

“Welcome back, Candice,”

Candice didn’t know what it was about that statement. Perhaps it was the way she said it, or the fact that it was the first thing she said after Candice confronted her that simply made her… more frustrated. Candice waited - for anything. For the girl to continue with any explanation of validity in the statement that Blue Royalty had revealed to her. Candice never thought she could be in Daniel’s shoes, but for once in her life, she felt what Daniel Parker likely felt when realizing that Jezebel was his sister. Only… her situation was a little different. While Jezebel had done everything to get close with Daniel after realizing. Delilah Hawthorne had done the utter opposite. She pushed Candice away. She made her life a living hell - most of the time CC never understanding what switched the flip on their relationship.

“Yeah, it’s true, so what?”

Candice didn’t know if it was the months without having physical interaction with her friends. Having to pretend that she was something she was not for so long without any sanity. But those words, those words had snapped something within Candice. She couldn’t stop herself from doing what she did next - her hand moved with the force that she didn’t expect, meeting with a loud smacking sound that filled the silent hallway. It took Candice, herself, a moment to realize what she had done. Candice Clarke had slapped Delilah Hawthorne… and for some reason, she didn’t regret it.

“Years. Delilah. You knew for years and what? You decided the moment you found out we were related that it was better just to slowly hurt me throughout the years instead of just tell me the truth? You don’t think I noticed the whispers, the rumors you spread even when you said that I didn’t matter to you and you didn’t have time to waste your breath on me? God Delilah, I’m not that dense.” A slight laugh of hysteria left Candice’s lips as she shook her head, crossing her hands as she looked towards the girl. “It’s funny. Growing up I always wanted a sister, a brother, anything just so I’d have someone there who understood what the hell I was going through. But you? I would never wish that on anyone. Let’s just say I’m glad you never told me because no one would ever want you to be their sister,” Candices whispered, looking at the girl one last time before she started walking away.

A new day of school meant another day to think about the upcoming prom. Prom was something she always imagined since she was little. She wanted the perfect date and perfect outfit, but she was really bitter about not being asked out to prom yet. Of course she didn’t want to show that or tell any of her friends; Instead, she wanted to pretend that she didn’t care about having a date. She was so lost in her thoughts while walking that she accidently went to the wrong locker.
“Why won’t it open?” She wondered. Suddenly she saw someone standing behind her.
“Uh…what do you want?” She asked, feeling more annoyed every second.

Ruby went to her locker, seeing someone trying to get it open. “Hey! Are you trying to steal my stuff?!” She asked angrily. She was getting paranoid again. She absolutely knew this girl was trying to steal from her. She couldn’t trust anyone. At all. She glared at the brown haired girl, arms crossed.

To Kara’s surprise, the girl started angrily yelling at her. “What are you talking about? This is my locker!” She yelled back. “Who do you think I am? I don’t steal things.” She crossed her arms. This girl she didn’t even know was yelling at her and trying to accuse her of stealing. This was not the kind of way she wanted to start her day at school, but if someone was going to yell at her she had to defend herself.

“No I-” Her frown vanished and she was left confused on how she could have thought this was her locker. She wasn’t usually this forgetful but she realized that she was probably so lost in thought while thinking about prom.
“Oh…That’s probably why I couldn’t open it.” She thought to herself. She felt a little embarrassed but she didn’t want to show it. “Whatever, i’ll just move.” She moved away from the locker so that the girl could move forward. “If you didn’t know I’m Kara Melbourne, and I don’t steal from people’s lockers.” She rolled her eyes sarcastically.

Holy f*ckity f*ck, so much had happened that Valentine’s that was nearly a month earlier. She had gotten flowers from Dorian of all people, and her brother had not only found out that his unrequited crush was, in fact, requited but also got a boyfriend that same day. Aline nearly died when she found out. She had badgered him for weeks after, and though he acted annoyed with her persistent questions and squeals, she knew that he enjoyed having someone to talk to about it, as it killed him to have to hide his relationship.

It was interesting to her, seeing him look happier than ever but also pained at having to keep the reason of his happiness a secret. She knew how much Luciano didn’t like closeted relationships but he seemed to be trying really hard to make it work. Aline had realized early on that Gio was really special to him. She had yet to talk to Gio about their relationship, but she would soon and then she would see for certain if he was as infatuated with Lui as he was with him.

She drove herself and Luciano to school today, but they parted quickly after entering the school. She assumed that he was off to do God-knows-what with Gio but there was a slight possibility that she was wrong. Though she highly doubted it.

Aline pulled out her phone to read the blog as she walked, reading the latest blog post as she moved. Her eyebrows lifted in amusement as she progressed through, snorting. She certainly had not anticipated this development, but it certainly was interesting to note. Similar to what had happened with Daniel and Jezebel, as the blog post had pointed out. Aline found it ironically amusing that Daniel, who knew the secrets of pretty much everyone in school, didn’t know this major secret about himself. She never would’ve guessed that anyone could withhold a secret like that from him, with all his resources, but obviously it was possible.

Distracted by her phone, she didn’t see the person walking right into her until she had already crashed into him. He caught her before she could fall, and while she was going to thank him, he started to mutter at her and she looked up at him, eyes flashing before she realized it was Daniel. The irritation dissipated and she smiled at him, a slight giggle escaping her lips as he pulled her into a hug. “Daniel!” She glanced at him, raising her eyebrows at the sunglasses on his face. “Sunglasses inside? Mm, going blind now?” He asked her how she was and she lifted a shoulder with a grin. “Been doing good, you? Exposed anything life-ruining recently?” She teased, a slight smirk forming on her lips. “I’d be jealous too, it was awesome,” she beamed, an excited glow washing over her face. “It was the funnest thing, I loved dancing with him.” He mentioned hacking a sneak peak and she frowned at him, playfully hitting him on the shoulder. “Hey, cheater! Seriously, you couldn’t wait some hours? No patience,” she tsked, shaking her head. “But it was great, so I can’t blame you for being so awed.” Aline laughed, giving him an amused glance. “If you’re the bar for a good dancer, then yeah, I’m sorry to say that everyone’s a better dancer than you.” Her mind flashed to the horrid moments she witnessed what could hardly be called “dancing”—and involuntarily shivered. “Yeah, you can’t dance. At all.” She added bluntly, giving him a consolatory pat on this shoulder. “It’s okay, we can’t all be perfect. Yes, I can though. I used to take lessons, you didn’t know? I was quite incredible.”

The girl started to panic and Kara didn’t know how to react. “Don’t blame yourself. It’s my fault.” She said. She resisted the urge to grab the girls arms because she didn’t know her that well. “Trust me, If you did something dumb I would have told you.” The girl said what her name was and she was happy that the subject changed to something else. “Isn’t your father Samuel Danvers? He was in my moms favorite movie.” She explained.
