lol idk
I was going to be the prettiest girl at the party.
I tightly pressed the curling wand to set tight curls into the hair that I had just straightened with an ecstatic smile, imagining all of the fun we were going to have in front of my early 2000s big bulb vanity mirror. The led lights in my room were bright pink and everything just felt right. Into place. I always put special effort into social events. They are oxygen to my lungs. And I want to make sure everyone is having a good time. The music would get everyone dancing, we’d all look at our most confident. I always have high hopes now matter how many times I end up disappointed. It’s who I am, I’ll never lose hope. Plus, it’s blue royalty, if you can’t carry a party yourself you can surely hire somebody to do it. Actually that’s kind of a good idea- For later. I giggled, getting up from the fuzzy seated stool and pulled my jacket off of my bed like a plushie box grappler, my purple acrylics barely grazing the fabric and then I threw it over my shoulder for when I stepped out into the chilly night time weather. But for now it was my door that I left wide open.
OH, DANG IT!!
I walked back to my vanity in a quirky way and shut off my little playlist. Wouldn’t want to leave that on. By now, Mamoud has been waiting for me in the car for like eleven minutes. He’s always the first one in the car, too bad ya can’t drive! I mean, legally he can, but only legally teehee.
…a few…hours later…
I had spent most of my time so far on the dance floaaaaaaa. But now I needed to pee.
…!
I was walking around saying hi to everybody. I know everyone and everyone knows me, And I guess I was being a bit quiet but I said “Excuse me” to Elodie DeLoughrey, while navigating through the crowd. And she saw me, and she said hi, rather formally. Which frankly seemed like no way to party. “Heyyyyyyy” I smiled. I’m a hugger but she didn’t seem like she wanted one so I kept that to myself… It took me a moment to process her question. I’m like that, *sigh *. I also noticed how pretty she was up close, the spotlight shined on her when she stood in the crowd. “Wouldn’t want to be anywhere elsee.” I curiously side-eyed both ways, she seemed to be alone. “I haven’t seen you all night. How’s the party been treating you so far?” I ask in a genuinely sweet tone. Like a female relative with her hand on your arm. Desperately I wanted to get everyone dancing, but you gotta talk to em first LOL.
