Delilah Rose Hawthorne

The moment he stood up was the conformation Delilah needed to be able to completely rule him out as competition tonight, and so she smiled to herself, satisfied. By getting out of his seat, the guy had proved he could barely stand on his own two feet without potentially falling on his face. So she found it impossible to believe that, if his tasks were anything like what hers were, Lyonrad would be able to accomplish anything, aside from getting drunk, during the night.

But she stopped trying to tell him that, as Delilah did find it amusing watching him try to convince her, and himself, that he could get the points he needed. And she could only guess it would be even more fun to watch him attempt to execute the tasks.

As he started attempting to walk, he still joked about her worrying about him. “Get your head out of your ass, please, Lyonrad,” Delilah called from the distance that was widening between them. "If you think I’ll be helping you then you will be in for quite the shock.”

“Yeah, I figured that you were drunk. Please… don’t do that again?”

The statement slightly shocked her. There hadn’t been many people in Candice’s life who truly watched out for her. Sure Candice had her friends, but depending on the person - most of them enjoyed watching the girl get wasted out of her mind just to see what crazy thing she would do next. There was only a handful of her closest friends that would take care of her - but something about Kara’s statement seemed… genuine. Candice smiled, a towel now wrapped around her body as the girl continued.

“I always thought you hung out with Elodie and her crew…” Candice revealed. It was part of the reason that Candice had avoided Kara - Elodie. Though Candice used to be friends with the girl at a young age, both of them grew apart years ago and Candice never really questioned it. Though there was no bad blood, it was always… strange for Candice to talk to Elodie. It was as if there was some unspoken rule that they no longer interacted - though, Candice never understood why. “… but hey! We finally get a chance to talk now!” Candice laughed - wiping the water off her body - although, her dress was still sticking to her skin like a bodysuit.

“How about this - I go to this small coffee shop off Melrose called Dayglow every morning from like 5 AM to whenever school starts - or if it’s the weekend I spend most of the morning there. Super cute place - but, how about you meet me there tomorrow whenever and we can catch up? I’d give you my phone so I could get your number - but I have absolutely no idea where I left it.” The girl smiled, though it soon turned into a laugh at Kara’s next statement. “Not used to… partying with friends?” Candice questioned - though shrugged it off as she pointed inside. “I have an idea,” she continued. It was as if, over the last few minutes, her mind had cleared up from the previous inebriation - likely due to the surprise of being in the pool. Though, it was resulting in a slight pounding in her head which Candice was attempting to ignore.

Candice maneuvered the two of them through the party - leading her to the grand staircase which led upstairs to the bedrooms. “I’ve heard the owner of this house has married someone half his age - gag - but that means a change of clothes for me and I’d love your help choosing,” Candice revealed as they walked upstairs, away from the music. It was obvious where the master bedroom was - the largest room by far - and Candice took the bobby pin out of her hair to pick the lock which took a few minutes longer than it would have if she was completely sober. “And… there we go.” Candice finished when she heard the lock open and smiled as she pushed through the doors letting Kara in first. “Help me look for something to change into?”

Calen James Hunter

When Valerie heard Calen’s name, he winced with confusion at her response. Valerie’s reaction to his name was certainly not subtle, despite attempting to make it so. Calen raised his eyebrows, in almost disgust, at her choking in shock. Before trying to think of the reason for her outburst, his head quickly jolted around to check if anyone had noticed that, but thankfully, it seemed no one had. He looked back at Valerie, interested in the reasoning she would give for that.

Valerie asked if his father was Warren Hunter, which took him by complete surprise. Calen knew that surnames were important, and everyone knew everyone here - but how was it even that possible to make a connection that quickly? Maybe his father was just that famous. Did that mean everyone knew he was the son of fame? If that was the case, he knew he would instantly be jumping to the top of the social ladder.

“Yeah, how do you know?” Calen asked, to confirm whether or not his family name was that well-known here. Or whether it was just because Valerie knew it for a completely different reason. But what reason would that be?

Valerie was seemingly glad when Calen had changed the subject onto the Blue Royalty. His eyebrows shot up at her reply, trying to work out whether that was an attempt to be flirtatious or not. If it was, it definitely wasn’t a good one. “Well, I should probably watch out for you then,” Calen replied with a small laugh, despite currently not really taking her seriously as competition.

Yeah, how do you know?
She didn’t know what to answer, she sipped her drink. How do I tell him? What do I tell him? she thought to herself do I just tell him what happened with his dad?
“Um. I’ve met him before… he umm, came to one of my father’s hotels” she said, which wasn’t technically a lie. “I just didn’t know he had a son”

Well, I should probably watch out for you then,
“You definitely should” she smirked “I’ll make sure to say hey from the top” she teased him

Calen’s brows furrowed at Valerie’s attempt to cover up her surprise. Calen could see that her answer was a lie. And a bad lie, at that. However, he didn’t bother too much about it, as he assumed this would probably be the last time they spoke, and so finding out whatever she was hiding would be useless. Unless it was something worth exposing, which would eliminate her completely as competition. Though, she didn’t seem like someone who would hide a secret like that. But, from how badly she was lying, he could assume that someone had already gotten a secret out of her and told everyone. So he decided to leave it. “Oh… right.” Calen said, simply, obviously pretending to seem convinced.

Valerie seemed very happy for the conversation to be changed, which only grew his suspicion more. Though slightly put off by her previous outburst, Calen still had to defend himself after her suggesting she will be above him in the competition. But Calen planned to probably avoid her in the future. Unless she was actually popular in school, then he would make somewhat of an effort with her. “Yeah, you’ll have to be looking upwards to say hey to me.” Calen replied with a smile, impressed with his own comment.

Mamoud Essa

“I’m doing fine” he chuckled semi awkwardly after swallowing. Mamoud wants to be outgoing. He tries to do social situations and he’s pretty good at it because of his sister conditioning him to be easy to talk to and encouraging him to familiarize people with the naturally warm energy that he carries. He hadn’t made any judgements about Brandon yet, with this interaction. He had also noticed his scent, which, generic.

“I’m just a little bit nervous because of the…tasks and stuff. You have them too right?” “Yea.” He nodded casually with a soft, polite smile. Mamoud thought this whole thing was silly, but he couldn’t possibly say that when they just met face to face barely two minutes ago. He stealthily noticed brandon’s outfit. He looked playful, like he should be dancing right now. And like he can probably moon-walk. Quirky detail, it would make Mamoud laugh if he heard it out loud. But he cares more to notice his surroundings. Like the pictures on the wall and the way the parents look at their children endearingly under the classic blue light.

“These snacks are pretty good though, they’re enough to distract me."* “Oh yeah I could stay here forever.” He grabbed a handful of doritos, to not waste any time. “I’m nervous because of the social interaction” He joked and then chuckled softly at himself, Shrugging. “I’m here, for, my sister.” He commented, feeling subconsciously self-pitiful.

Kara was glad that a towel was wrapped around Candice, she really didn’t want to slip in her new heels.
"I always thought you hung out with Elodie and her crew…” Candice said.
"Yep, We’ve been friends since like elementary school. " She said while tucking her hair behind her ear. She didn’t want people to know that she only had a small crew of friends. Even though she wasn’t ashamed of it, she still wanted to keep up the illusion of a huge crew. Then Candice told her about a coffee shop they could meet at before school. “That sounds nice, I mean its not like i’m going to a gym to do burpees.” Kara said while shrugging. She took her phone out of her purse and gave it to her. “Hey, you can put it in here.” She said while holding the phone out to her. Before she knew it, Candice was pulling her to a staircase and into some rooms. As soon as Kara heard the word clothes her ears perked up. “Now that’s what I’m talking about.” She said. If there were free clothes, she was involved. She didn’t even care where they were going. They entered the double doors of, what she considered, the master bedroom.

“Help me look for something to change into?” Kara was so enchanted by the humongous room that she didn’t even answer her question. Everything looked like perfection and there were so many clothes. She walked towards the closet and began to feel on the fabrics “Maybe I should marry someone twice my age for this one day. On second thought, that’s something Delilah would do. I’m no gold digger.” She suddenly remembered the question she asked her. “Heck yeah I’ll help you look for some clothes.”

Jezebel couldn’t help but giggle a little at Mikel sticking out his finger for a pinky promise. “That’s completely true. I doubt she could top that. Now, to just make certain tonight gets better by the minute.” Jezebel looked out to the crowd of people on the dance floor, then back to Mikel. “Sounds like a good idea.” She smiled at him as they walked to the bathroom. Truthfully, he had made her night better. Her night had started with receiving a task she knew she couldn’t complete. Then, things hadn’t even begun to get better after arriving at the party, until she began talking to Mikel. Thanks to him, her night was much closer to being back on track. She just had to make certain to complete her other task, and make the most out of the rest of the night. They soon arrived at the bathroom where Jezebel stepped inside. She left the door open to where she could still see Mikel and the party, then hopped up to sit on the counter with the sink. After just a moment at the sink to rinse the sticky drink residue off of her feet and shoes, she turned back towards the door to look at Mikel. Letting her shoes rest on the counter to dry, she stepped down and smiled at Mikel. “Thanks for making my night better.“ Taking a few steps towards him she leaned in and quickly, but softly, kissed him, then said, “Thank you for saving my night. I really needed it.” Part of Jezebel hoped he wouldn’t be put off by the sudden kiss, but either way she stood by the choice to kiss the guy she barely knew.

“Get your head out of your ass, please, Lyonrad. If you think I’ll be helping you, then you will be in for quite the shock.” Lyonrad laughed with Delilah calling out to him as he slowly made his way out of the bar, leaving the girl to herself alone.

“See you, too, Delilah!” he shouted back without looking, waving a hand and assuming Delilah would even bother to notice it. He hoped for her to actually follow him, to some extent; but he only snorted at himself for thinking that. What? She? Follow me? he laughed to himself again.

After seemingly over an hour of walking like a nine-month old baby, Lyonrad reached the residential pool. He stopped at the very sight of it, freezing as his heart beat fast. There were a number of other students surrounding the pool, but none of them were in the pool—or at least, from what he saw from his perspective.

He took deep breaths, and after calming himself down, he unbuttoned his shirt and took off his shoes. He took another deep breath again before swayingly walking to a corner of the pool. He walked far from the pool, where the water could touch his feet. It would be an embarassment if he suddenly fall there. Being tipsy, near drunk, was not the best state you can ever be in a party… or at least for him. The pool might just cure me from this… he thought as he massaged his face with both of his hands. I want to get home.

And, without thinking further, he jumped right into the water.

Lyonrad closed his eyes as he let himself submerge in the cold water. Faster did his heart beat the lower he sunk. He was right—water did make him feel better than earlier, but realizing again where he was, it did not make him anymore better. Air was nowhere under the surface.

The pool was deep, but he was tall enough to quickly whisk his way up to the surface. He could not think of anything at that point but getting his way out of the water. He was thankful to himself for jumping near the sides, though it was clearly risky if he ever fell short. Reaching for the sides, he rose himself to the ground with panic.

Shortly after he got out, he quickly ran to where his shoes were and ran off away from the pool. He heaved heavy breaths, his heart seemingly reaching his throat. He could not breath properly, and… he could still not walk properly, but it was better, at least. What did I just do?

“Hey don’t mock the 6 AM burpees - they can be fun sometimes…” Candice started, a smile playing upon her lips before she burst into a fit of laughter “Just kidding, that sounds absolutely horrible. I can’t even imagine why people would do that to themselves,” Candice stated before taking the phone the girl handed her to input her information… though her phone number definitely took her a few moments to remember - blame that on the alcohol.

New Contact:

Name: Pool Chick (Aka Candiceee Clarke <3)
Number: XXX-XXX-XXXX

At the very end, she took a selfie of herself rocking one of her signature poses - tongue out with while winking and handed the phone back to the girl.

Once they had broken into the master bedroom, a grin fell upon her lips as Candice’s lips as she opened the door to the walk-in closet, finding hundreds of designer dresses on display. “Hells to the no,” Candice stated almost immediately when Kara offered the option to marry into money. “Always remember, Kara, you are strong, beautiful, and independent and you never stand behind any man,” Candice stated, winking at the girl before disappearing inside the closet with the girl.

Grabbing a few pieces - one Dolce & Gabana, an Armani, a Herrera, and a few others - Candice disappeared momentarily to change into the first dress. Returning a few minutes later to show off her first look to Kara - posing the moment she returned. Laughter filled the air as she twirled around in the red dress - far too formal for the party, though fun nonetheless. After a few minutes, Candice disappeared once more to change into the second outfit. “I’m sorry, but how badass do I look right now?” Candice questioned with a smile. “I feel like I should be in a Criminal Minds episode” Candice stated. “Alright, last one,” she continued - disappearing for the third time to return in the last dress, and likely the most expensive. “Alright, so which one are we leaning towards?” Candice questioned, leaning on the wall to maintain her balance as she questioned the girl. “Anything catch your eye. I mean - your dress is fabulous the way it is anyways - but hey, free shopping spree from spoiled rich wives are sometimes the best ones,”

Oh… right.
“Yeah it’s nothing, I was just surprised” she said with light relief; seemed like he didn’t try to pry for anything else which was good. Very good.
Yeah, you’ll have to be looking upwards to say hey to me
“Made that one up on your own?” She smirked seeing on his face how pleased he was with his little comeback
“We’ll see about that” she said while playing with the last sip in her drink “See you around, Callen Hunter” she said with a slightly mysteriously teasing voice . She took the last sip of her drink and put the glass on the bar and flashed him a small smirk before walking away

He nodded to Jezebel and was happy to see that her mood had changed from the girl who originally snapped back at him when he called out to her. He followed behind her to the bathroom and leaned against the wall outside of it. He gripped his camera and clicked through a few images he had captured earlier in the night. A few of his classmates dancing, some laughing, one of a couple in his class who looked to be in an argument. He felt a little awkward standing outside of the bathroom and even had to tell a few people he wasn’t in line when they asked him. He let out a sigh and leaned his head fully back against the wall and closed his eyes. He could be the music still but there were too many people talking around him to clearly know what the singer was saying.

“Thanks for making my night better.“ He wanted to reply to her but what does he say so he was a little relieved when she kissed him. I mean he wasn’t expecting a kiss whatsoever. He didn’t kiss strangers much anymore, that was his past but she initiated the kiss and he wasn’t going to reject her. “Thank you for saving my night. I really needed it.” He knew the feeling of wanting to be saved and wasn’t going to let her feel that way this whole night. He smiled to her after the kiss and ran a hand through his dark black hair. “I guess I’m basically a super hero now.” He said yo her jokingly with a raised brow. He wasn’t going to mention the kiss so he just decided to continue on with the light heartedness. He knew he probably wouldn’t finish his second task tonight but he didn’t really care either. There would be more time and probably more tasks worth even more. “Think I can pass for Clark Kent?” He asked her with a low chuckle. Let’s all just be honest, of course, Mikel is the type to watch superhero movies over most other movies.

I’m nervous because of the social interaction.” Brandon was happy that he seemed to be opening up more. “This is the first time I’ve ever been this nervous.”

“I’m here, for, my sister.” Brandon noticed that it was probably why he seemed like he didn’t want to be here. Now that he thought about it, he also practically had no choice but to be here. He wished there was an easier way to get higher up but he had to do these tasks. “Oh, I see. I don’t think I’ve ever met you or your sister before.” Brandon said while thinking back on his times in high school. “Anyways, are you in any sports teams or programs?” He asked him. He didn’t think he would make any friends at this party because he thought that he knew everyone, but he wanted to try now and get to know him.

Ok, that was deep. ‘‘Ask and you shall recieve?’’ She shrugged, ‘‘Anyways I’m just a teen, what do i know about love. I’ve never really been in love,’’ Paris sighed and ran her fingers through her hair. Where is that coming from, huh? ‘‘I don’t know, It just came out.’’

Maybe he didn’t believe in love… he seemed very uptight so Paris assumed he had a quite positive life. Still not convinced* She slouched, ‘‘Very funny… just give me back my phone…’’ She crossed her arms playfully smirked. I’ve never been on such a date.

‘‘Probably because you haven’t met the right person,’’ she shrugged. ‘‘Now give me back my phone DeLoughrey!’’ She reached out for it.

“Eww, I don’t even want to think about marrying someone that much older than me, but thanks though.” She said. She watched as Candice went into the dressing room and came out with the first dress. “Okay, that’s lovely. It seems like something I would wear.” Then she came out with the second dress. Kara stood up to get a better look. “I’m sorry, but how badass do I look right now?"
“I mean if it had pants it would probably be better.” She said honestly. Then Candice came out with the last dress. “I’m sorry but no. You deserve better.” After analyzing the dresses intently, she finally came to a conclusion. “The first one is the best hands down. Now my turn!” She was so excited that she practically skipped to the closet. She put on the first dress and came out. “This one is nice.” She went back into the closet and put on a orange dress She came out and showed off that one. “So, what do you think?” She asked.

Calen James Hunter

Calen remained unconvinced at her emphasising the innocence of her surprise, and the more she said it was nothing, the more he believed it wasn’t. He could see the relief on her face when Calen didn’t ask about it, and that practically confirmed in his head that she was hiding something. Though he couldn’t even try to imagine what it was. How could Valerie have any connection to his father? What would that connection even be? Instead of getting answers to those questions, he merely shook his head, possibly to hint at his disbelief towards her.

Though, even if he wanted to ask further about it, he couldn’t, as Valerie told him she would see him around before leaving. After that interaction, part of him hoped he wouldn’t see her around. At this point, Calen didn’t want to know whatever she was obviously hiding. And so he was relieved when Valerie turned away, disappearing into the crowd to, he guessed, talk to someone new, which is what he planned to also do.

He turned and faced the bar, where it seemed a lot of people were grouping and conversing, clearly being the spot of most social interaction here. So, the question of whether to go over there had an obvious answer. Calen took a seat at the bar and looked around.

Candice nodded at the girl with a laugh and disappeared once more to change back into the first outfit. Ironically, she hadn’t had this much fun in… well… a long time. Raiding through other people’s closets - especially knowing they probably wouldn’t notice or simply buy a new dress once realizing it was missing - was truly exhilarating. Though… Candice can’t say it’s the first time she’s broken into someplace - and it probably won’t be the last either. She and her trusty bobby pin have snuck into hell and back without getting caught multiple times.

As Kara disappeared, Candice looked around the bedroom - her eyes getting caught by a small mini-fridge to the side. Opening it up, she was met with various small alcoholic bottles as well as a few snacks… though, after taking a moment to think - the words Kara had said about ‘not doing it again’ roaming her mind - Candice grabbed a large water and took a long drink. Hopefully, it would dilute the alcohol in her system. Though, as she was drinking the bottle, she heard the girl emerge and smiled at her outfit. “Sexy, sultry. I love it… but polka dots are fashion suicide right now” she stated, watching as the girl disappeared once again to change.

As the girl did, CC took a seat at the vanity - fixing the makeup that had since become ruined in the water. Mascara, powder, and dark red lipstick to match the dress, and she was done. After her makeup - she simply fixed her hair by brushing through the naturally wavy texture. Once she was done, she found Kara exiting with the second dress and smiled. “No… hmm…” Candice started, looking at the girl for a second. “Give me a second,” Candice stated - disappearing into the closet once again before returning with a dress hidden in the back. “Try this one on,” Candice said, handing the girl the sheer dress. “It would look amazing with your complexion and your body,” the girl laughed.

‘‘Probably because you haven’t met the right person."
“Yeah, it really is a pity there is no one to prove me wrong,” shrugging his shoulders, he played with the phone is his hand, waiting for her to say something but quickly gave up, looking back at her. “And of course, ma’am,” he said in a teasing way, handing her back the phone with a cheeky smile on. If there was nothing else he had to do tonight he would stay here with her, it was fun after all but there were things he had to finish. “Well, it was nice meeting you Paris,” as a subtle smirk formed on his lips he got up, intertwining his fingers behind his neck and stretched slightly. It was just a habit he had, it wasn’t a stretch but a way to “show off” what he was most proud of. Or the only thing he was proud of. “Hopefully I’ll see you around often?” Saying it more as a question, he kept his eyes on her as he picked up his clothes from the ground. Not caring if he was still wet, he put on his white shirt back on leaving it unbuttoned. “And you won’t delete my number.” Simply winking at her, he slicked his hair back before turning around and walking back in, heading straight for the bar. He didn’t care if water was still dripping down his body, that way he could grab some attention from people, maybe some weird looks but something was better than nothing.

“Give me something, whatever you have,” throwing his jacket on the first free chair at the bar, he rested his elbows on the counter addressing the waiter. Looking down at the shirt clinging to his wet body, he quickly buttoned it up and fixed the collar of it before he noticed someone sitting right next to him. A person he didn’t quite recognize at first. Leaning against the counter once again and crossing his arms on top of it, he looked straight at him staying quiet for a few seconds. He was definitely not someone from the school but the longer he looked the more he started recognizing him from somewhere. “Do I know you?” He quietly asked, slightly squinting his eyes as he tried to figure it out himself.

After making a deal with one of Satan’s minions, better known as Aalia Bhaduri, Daniel bid her farewell and made his way further into the party. Though he didn’t have his phone, and likely wouldn’t get it back from Bhaduri anytime soon, he didn’t need it to have a good time and he definitely didn’t need it to win this bet. In any case, he always had his Apple Watch on his body that he had tricked out to do anything he needed at the press of a button. With that in mind, he took a moment to press a button that deleted the contents of his cell phone that Aalia had, rendering it useless, as he was almost positive - he would not be getting the device back. Oh well, he could just as easily buy a new one in the morning.

As he walked through the dance floor, Daniel’s mind flicked over to the tasks he needed to get done. They were… easy, in all honesty. He simply needed to find the right place and people to complete them - though, he couldn’t help but become distracted by a girl in the middle of the dance floor, directing all male, and female attention to her easily: Delilah Hawthorne. Possibly one of his favorite customers - she was honest… well, at least when she wanted to be… and that was something he respected.

Making his way towards her, Daniel placed his hand to cover the girl’s eyes from behind her, leaning forward to whisper in her ear a simple “Guess who.”

Kara walked toward Candice while taking note of the fridge, that she hadn’t noticed before, being opened. Then she examined the dress Candice just showed to her. “I’ll take it. I need something new anyways.” Kara already knew that she was going to take all of the dresses that she saw. She dramatically laid down on one of the soft ottoman chairs beside Candice. The reality of where they were at just sunk in. “Oh sh$t we’re actually in someone’s room.” She kicked her legs up and down as excitement filled her body. “Wait, how the heck did you learn how to pick locks?” Kara said while chuckling. That completely went over her head as they were entering the room.
