Dance 1: with Lady Adeline Delaney
Feeling a surge of relief as Adeline accepted his invitation to dance, he scrawled his name on her dance card. He felt a rather odd feel, his heart beat faster, as if it was the anticipation of finally taking her hand to lead her to the fence floor. With a gentle yet confident grip, he led her there.
As they walked over, Magnus couldn’t help stare at Adeline’s grace and beauty from the corner of his eye. Her presence seemed to illuminate the entire room. “Lady Adeline, you truly are a vision,” he told her, in a quieter voice just for her, before letting go of her hand to take his place within the dance and bow to her. “In your words, I have found a kindred spirit, and in your presence, I find myself enchanted. Strong magic must be in play to keep me so deeply transfixed.” Magnus let out a rather dignified chuckle at that line.
With a smile remaining on his face as his eyes were locked onto Adeline, he had this feeling inside that their connection was growing stronger with each passing moment that they danced, yet, he didn’t want to make a swift. “May I enquire of what you’ve been painting as of late, Lady Adeline? Has there been a number of masterpieces?”
