Oh yeah, I remember their names being always used together, so when you said Margaret was getting married, I thought maybe Margo and Archie’s name being used together was because people shipped them, not cuz they were siblings …

I mean that stuff did happen but icky

Between cousins maybe, not between brother and sister (Thank God, it’d be hard romancing the Regency era if incest would’ve been common)

Right. They’re just commoners to everyone else. No title.

Hold on a minute, they are not commoners. Not having a title doesn’t make them commoners

Compared to those that have a title. They still have money.

Would you say Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy is common?

No it doesn’t, because if you aren’t part of the peerage, but have money and land, you’re part of the gentry, and if you have a job ( that isn’t in law, military or church) and rent your place of living then you’re common. If you have even less than that you’re poor.

I think its a matter of perspective tho
they dont have titles so to the ton they may be viewed as commoners
doesn’t make them necessarily correct tho

I feel like titled vs not is more important to the nobility than who does or doesn’t own land

True … Except for the men who have titles and need money ofc, because you can always have high standing and a title and be broke
