~ Quest Chapter 5 ~
Bryan, Arden, Quintella
It didn’t take long for them to realize they were outnumbered, Quintella wasn’t a fighter, more relying on charmspeak and she could do self-defense but she was mainly a healer person. Bryan was more of a pacifier of anything, and Arden definitely couldn’t take multiple of those monsters on her own.
“Come out demigodsssss, we promisssse a quick and painlesss death.” Bryan moved first, hands up as Arden and Quintella looked up at him rising in disbelief. Arden caught on and followed him, hands above her head and Quintella followed them rather sullenly. They glimpsed the snakes that slithered around, their lower body snake like and upper body human. “Masster will be so happy.”
They grabbed the trio by the arms, the second snake holding two of them as they marched them out of the hotel. “Will anyone notice this?” Bryan whispered.
“Mist, they won’t.” Quintella responded before wincing as the snake monster hissed again.
“Sssshut up both of you idiotssss.” They reached the elevator where the monsters tapped the buttons furiously. The trio looked at each and in synchronized unison they turned around on their captors, Quintella reached for the snake monster holding Bryan and her her other hand on her dagger before snarling, “Stay still,” So much charmspeak forced into her words, Bryan stayed still as well.
Arden meanwhile turned on the other one, running him into the wall before getting her own dagger and holding it against her neck and shouting behind her, “Bryan, Quintella, are you alright.”
Bryan gaped before responding, Arden looked behind her, pressing the dagger tighter to the snake’s neck and grimaced. Quintella and the snake monster were fighting tooth and nail, trading punch for punch, but it wasn’t an equal fight, Quintella obviously felt like this was life or death. She reached for the dagger on the floor and to Bryan’s horror, began to brutally stab the snake monster on the ground, blood poured from the wounds like a water fountain, staining the floor, her hands hair and clothes, tainting everything it touched.
She didn’t stop once it died, she kept on stabbing it until it turned to dust, leaving behind only snake skin. She finally got up off the ground and turned to the next snake, pointing at him. “Why’s he alive?”
