Eden Irvette |Mess Hall

Eden walked off the post as the next suspect came up but she wasn’t going to sit there and watch an interrogation. She walked up to the person in question and had a light smile on her face. “Would you kindly tell the court about your and give an account of your day?” she asked politely. Unlike all the other interrogations she had watched, she decided to choose a softer and more gentle approach. She had started running her hands through her hair again when she could feel everyone’s eyes on her back. “And please be as descriptive as you can be,” she added quietly.

Kai’s eyes shifted between the loud whispers and chattering of campers, they fixed on Karan when he heard his name being called. He stood up with a slight nod of his head before making his way to the stand, swearing to only speak the truth. He watched and fixed his glasses as Eden walked to him.

“Would you kindly tell the court about your and give an account of your day?”

“Well, not very interesting but, this morning, all I did was some research on this camp history and my abilities since I’m new, found some pretty interesting stuff about them, which include shape-shifting, teleportation and levitation as far as I know.” He said, recalling what he’d read and even being shocked at his own abilities. “After I’d just gone for a short walk before going to the big house, then after I pretty much ran and hid over near the back when the harpies had attacked because I don’t like to go after things like that and risk my health. Health is top priority me.” He finished before running a finger through his hair.

Hiding inside the cabin I squeezed my eyes shut, pressing my body up against the door assuming the danger would enter from there.
Boom. Boom. Boom!
My eyes slowly opened as I looked up to the roof. A single crack resided in the middle of the roof. A quiet shudder fell out of my mouth as the crack traveled through the roof. The roof began folding into itself, starting at the middle.
I let go of the door and gazed at the roof as it caved in, a harpy screeching above.
Wood logs fell from the ceiling, as I covered my head with my arms. I looked up at the harpy screeching, aiming for me.
My heart began jumping out of my chest. I looked around the room in panic, grabbing a sharp log, holding it up as the harpy dived, it’s beak open.
I closed my eyes and braced for the impact, as the harpy impaled itself on the sharp log.
I heard a thud as I opened my eyes, staring down at the harpy, I smiled with a scoff.

We were directed to head to the Mess Hall, but I managed to sneak away from the worried campers. I wandered the camp with furrowed brows and pursed lips. I found myself at the beach.
I sat on the cool sand and gazed at the small waves.
The smell of wet grassed raced into my nostrils.
It was… quiet.

I had lived such a hectic and busy life I never took the chance to just sit in quiet and relax.
My life wasn’t quiet.
Wasn’t

I heard footsteps behind.
I turned my head to a guy.
“Oh… hello.”
I said, shifting my attention back to the crystal waters.

:tada: Molly Beckett :tada:

I furrowed my brows.
"So, you had to… pass a training for… safety… at Camp Jupiter?’ I asked.
The stupidity of having to have a certain level of endurance to be protected from the harsh creatures hunting you down!
Life or death isn’t a cheer tryout.
I had to admit, the cabin system wasn’t the smartest. However, gods did have rivalry’s with others and it would be chaotic to put every camper in one sleeping quarters.
“So where did you sleep?”

:dna: Audrey Williams :dna:

I thought about his comments.
Why couldn’t everyone accept the fact that I had different opinions than them?
Why did everyone want to change my views on the traitor?
I sighed and shook my head, trying to calm myself down.
“Camp was fine before all of them came along…”
I thought about it more.
“Although… if it were a Greek… it would be the perfect distraction. All the focus would be on the new pantheons…”
Maybe he was right, it wasn’t Norse but I wasn’t going to tell him that to let him gloat.
My argument still stands.
If I think it’s the Norse, it’s the Norse- at least in my eyes and there’s no changing that!

I knew that I myself was on the chopping block and to be questioned on the stand.
I wasn’t the most… trustworthy.
I will admit, it’s smart to suspect I’m the traitor… giving my… lack of loyalty.

I looked at him and sighed with a face of reassurance.
I shook my head.
“I don’t think you want to know… you’ll see…”

Emma nodded. It wasn’t really for safety in Emma’s opinion more like her mother having her fun making sure the legion lives up to the standards of the empire, even if it had fallen many centuries ago.

“We had 5 barracks with 10 bunks in each. Each barrack was its own section of the New Rome army. I was apart of the 2nd cohort. Personally the 5th cohort although its the least respected seemed to be more fun and friendly kind of like here before the monster attack.” Emma started rambling about New Rome. She was sadden not as many of the older legionnaires made it to camp half blood. She just hoped they had fought valiantly like her mother trained them. Emma felt a single tear start to fall down her cheek. “On to a different topic, What do you think the trail will be like?”

Despite the killer headache that reappeared so suddenly, Laron managed to form a smile on his lips. Cress’ presence was ruining his plans to escape and her cheerful image was annoying as heck but in all honesty, her company was making him feel at least a bit better. Physically, he felt simply awful. He was sick and shivering non-stop, suffering from sleep deprivation and hunger, but his state of mind was quite good.
He would have never said it out loud but he was secretly genuinely thankful to her.
Hearing her… Concerned question? Whatever it was, Laron let out dry chuckle.
“Do I look okay? I guess I don’t… But I’ll survive, no worries Goldie.” He reassured her, shooting her a quick glance.
Luckily, they finally “reached their destination” called the mess hall and once Laron’s foot stepped inside, his first instinct was to go attack the tables full of delicious food and beverages. Totally ignoring the demigods around him, he quickly finished a whole sandwich and while taking another, he remembered he had lost his blonde friend in the process.
His eyes traveled across the room until they found her, standing only a few meters away from him.

@Daunt - Cress I hope the post is alright. My biggest apologies for the wait

:crossed_swords: Scott MacCallan :crossed_swords: || With Kathy || Infirmary

Shortly after he had sat down, the girl returned… With empty hands. Scott looked around the hospital bed to see if there was any ambrosia or bandages left nearby but there was nothing in plain sight.
His eyebrow shot up in confusion but before he managed to ask her if she had not forgotten to bring something with her, she was already busy checking the wound.
He was relieved for a moment after hearing her confirmation that there was no sign of infection in the wound, but his relief was soon gone, replaced by uneasiness.
What will feel funny? And what should A not fight~
As soon as Scott’s eyes noticed dark shadow-like things moving in their direction, he couldn’t help but flinch. Unfortunately, the girl’s hold of his hand was stronger than he thought. He ordered himself to remain calm and cautiously watched the shadows as they all gathered in her hand.
Scott wasn’t exactly sure what followed afterwards. There was only that tingling sensation and then… Nothing.
The skin on his arm was completely intact, there was no sign of a scar or a wound.
Scott stared at it with both awe and shock, then looked up at the girl who had just healed his wound with her shadow magic.
“Wh-” Scott whispered before letting out a laugh. “A’ve never seen a Greek demigod do such thing. Who are ye anyway?”

As Kai finished speaking up, the shouts and shrieks began to emerge as the empousas slithered into the camp, and attacking the harpies. Fire flew around and it didn’t take long until there were only feathers and carcasses of what remained in the camp. Campers paused, unsure of whether to attack or not, the empousas transformed before their eyes, turning into different girls, each one beautiful and flawless. They didn’t pause for a second, continuing until they reached the trial hall where many of the campers gasped and whispers ran around. Except for the children of Hecate and Trivia, who remained calm and looked at them. The empousas sat in the seats except for one. She stood up and adressed the hall, her silver eyes cutting through the campers. “Apophis visited you. Apollo gave you a prophecy. Artemis sent you arrows. Hecate sends you us.” Her lips tugged downward into a frown. “The way you treat this haven the gods have given you make us gasp.” She turned around before listing off on her fingers, “Your waters are poisoned, and you’ve done nothing to fix it, most of you will die of dehydration or poison,” Ariel’s cup falls to the floor as she clutches her stomach. An empousa rushes to her side. “There’s a girl outside your borders right now who can help you, yet she struggles with those of her own kind. An anemoi of your own has begun to feed on campers, when you’re sleeping.” At her words, Austin falls to the floor, clutching his neck from which blood as black as night has begun to pour from a small dot, a bite mark in his neck. The empousa looks at him in pity, “Another victim of hers. And you haven’t begun to do anything to stop the ice spreading across the lake which will soon trap in the poison and cut off your own water source.” The empousa finished bowing her head for a moment, letting silence ring throughout the trial. It was loud. “Although we must commend you, you’re looking for the one who started this. We can tell you one of your traitors, but we can’t tell you the traitor, even the gods cannot intervene with the Norns and Fates who are adamant.” She paused, looking up, her eye swirling red, “An eye for an eye, an arm for an arm, a life for a life, we’ll tell you but at the cost of one of your own. We’ll be generous, we’ll also heal the ones your ignorance has pained.”

@CHBRPers ~ The trial will continue as planned, you don’t need to react but you may, I just need everyone to vote on the poll below. If majority says yes, you’ll get a traitor name but one person will die. However Ariel and Austin will not die. Refuse and Ariel and Austin lay on a precarious edge of life and death and cannot be played until further notice.

Haeven Belleau

"Sucks for you. It’s funny how those little things got to you.” Pausing, Haeven tapped the scratched area of his face and continued on, “I guess you’ll get ‘em next time.” Haeven stopped, thought for a moment, and shook her head in slight disbelief. "It’s kinda suprising. With the invasion of these other campers, you’d think it’d be easier to protect this place. I guess not. We’ll just die even sooner now.” After a few minutes of looking around, Haeven looked back at him after he suggested that there was food in the mess hall. Haeven tilted her head, "Why else would I be here if there wasn’t food? To meet my new piers?” It was obvious that Haeven was disgusted by the thought of that. “Never.”

Just as she was about to head into the mess hall, she noticed that the area containing all the food was packed with other campers. Looking back at him, Haeven huffed. “Are you seeing this?” As she started to push through the crowd, she muttered, “This is stupid. Incredibly stupid.” After pushing her way through the other hungry campers, Haeven finally reached the table of food. There wasn’t much left, but it didn’t really matter. Haeven grabbed what she could and looked to see if the ginger had followed her or not.

Zaire Signon

Zaire continued to clutch his stomach, making it seem as if he was in real pain. After all, pretending was something he considered himself to be an expert at. After peeking up to see if anyone was approaching him, he noticed a girl rushing over to him. Works every time. Once the girl asked if he was hurt, he had the slight urge to laugh. But, there was no way that he could have cut the act so soon. No way. He nodded, “Y-Yeah, I’m hurt. I don’t know what it is though-“ he stopped talking, and pointed to a random area on his stomach, “Right here…I think.” Zaire noticed how she did in fact fall for his trick, and he found it quite amusing. As he has gotten older, it’s been harder to have people believe him, so it was quite interesting to see how easy it was with her to do so.

He reached over to touch the “wounded area”, and as he did, he let out a fake shriek, “Ow!” Immediately, Zaire looked over at her to see her reaction. By accident, he let out a slight chuckle, but he quickly covered his face and attempted to mask it with a painful facial expression.

Suddenly, Nika noticed a girl walking towards her. She gave a slight smile and proceeded to bite into her apple. To Nika, the girl seemed to be suprisingly calm, even with what was going on out there. Once the girl sat down next to her, Nika looked over at her. After she introduced herself, Nika smiled and proceeded to do the same. “Nika Abren. Nice to meet you.” After taking another bite into her apple, she continued, “By the way, cool name.” Once Azalea asked what happened, Nika’s eyes widened. “I’d describe it as complete madness.” Nika sighed and sat back. Then, she started to expain. “Basically, harpies invaded the camp. Somehow, they got through the border and started attacking all the campers. One second I was picking strawberries, and next thing I know, I was getting attacked by those meddling harpies. I got out of there as fast as I could, but a lot of campers ended up getting injured from fighting them off.” Sighing, Nika continued, “So yeah, thats what happened.” Nika looked over at the entrance of the mess hall, which was now packed with hungry campers. “Seems like the food shortage is getting to all of us, right?”

It was an unanimous choice, for the most part. The cabin leaders circled together before debating, some campers shouted in outcry. But it didn’t take long for the deal to be struck. The empousas laughed in glee in a synchronized symphony, with a wave of the leader’s hand the injuries on Ariel and Austin were healed. “Ah, a deal’s a deal, isn’t it?” They cast their eyes around before their eyes settled down onto one person, extending their hands, a damning set of fingers pointing at Mabel. “There’s a traitor for you.” The empousas looked around once more, this time for their part of the trade, their eyes settling on a girl in the corner with a sullen expression of a sort, when she noticed their movement towards her it was too late. An empousas’s fangs enlarged, grabbed Ebony by the color and sunk her fangs into the victim’s neck, breaking the barrier of skin a striking bone. Ebony went limp as two, lone drops of crimson blood ran down her neck before striking the wooden floor. The empousa dropped her in a heap to the floor before returning to the group. One of them gave a wicked smile, “She was innocent too, if you were wondering.” The sounds of wicked laugher echoed throughout the Big House as the empousas disappear into a cloud of smoke.

Bryan, Arden, Quintella

It didn’t take long for them to realize they were outnumbered, Quintella wasn’t a fighter, more relying on charmspeak and she could do self-defense but she was mainly a healer person. Bryan was more of a pacifier of anything, and Arden definitely couldn’t take multiple of those monsters on her own.

“Come out demigodsssss, we promisssse a quick and painlesss death.” Bryan moved first, hands up as Arden and Quintella looked up at him rising in disbelief. Arden caught on and followed him, hands above her head and Quintella followed them rather sullenly. They glimpsed the snakes that slithered around, their lower body snake like and upper body human. “Masster will be so happy.”

They grabbed the trio by the arms, the second snake holding two of them as they marched them out of the hotel. “Will anyone notice this?” Bryan whispered.

“Mist, they won’t.” Quintella responded before wincing as the snake monster hissed again.

“Sssshut up both of you idiotssss.” They reached the elevator where the monsters tapped the buttons furiously. The trio looked at each and in synchronized unison they turned around on their captors, Quintella reached for the snake monster holding Bryan and her her other hand on her dagger before snarling, “Stay still,” So much charmspeak forced into her words, Bryan stayed still as well.

Arden meanwhile turned on the other one, running him into the wall before getting her own dagger and holding it against her neck and shouting behind her, “Bryan, Quintella, are you alright.”

Bryan gaped before responding, Arden looked behind her, pressing the dagger tighter to the snake’s neck and grimaced. Quintella and the snake monster were fighting tooth and nail, trading punch for punch, but it wasn’t an equal fight, Quintella obviously felt like this was life or death. She reached for the dagger on the floor and to Bryan’s horror, began to brutally stab the snake monster on the ground, blood poured from the wounds like a water fountain, staining the floor, her hands hair and clothes, tainting everything it touched.

She didn’t stop once it died, she kept on stabbing it until it turned to dust, leaving behind only snake skin. She finally got up off the ground and turned to the next snake, pointing at him. “Why’s he alive?”

Karan Lander || Infirmary with Ajax Taylor ~ Before Trial

“That’s the question. For the life of me I can’t figure out why.”

Karan nodded, although that was a concerning thing for everyone. “Well, we can figure it out soon, maybe the trial will open up some things.” Karan shrugged slightly before responding, “A bunch of stuff, ambrosia mainly, but we’re making due with everything we have, including some of our magic to heal others and we’re only using ambrosia on those who are fatally hurt.” She motioned to her broken arm which was freezing cold but healing, although slower than it would usually whenever she attempted to use her ice magic. “It’d heal quicker if it were winter, but, I can work with it.” She paused before asking him, "Do you have any idea of the possible traitors in the camp? A- the snake thing hinted at it but never gave specifics.

“It’s strange that you’re in such a rush to, y’know, lose. I get the feeling that you must be some sort of masochist, right?”

Marcus raised an eyebrow, “I’m not going to lose so you can cross off masochist for me.” He chuckled slightly before adding, “But, for you, not quite sure about that darling.” He assesed her weapon and picked up a second dagger, both of the same make, sharp to the point, curved built to do damage and to throw long distances. He flipped one into the air and it grew larger, a sword forged from Imperial Gold. Flipped it once more and it turned to the dagger it was once before. He gave a wicked smile, filled with cunning, showing off her white teeth. “Alright, enough chit-chat,” Marcus didn’t waste anytime moving quickly as he walked into the center of the arena, analyzing Arden in a calculating way. He faked a lunge towards her before backing up, testing the waters to attack.

Kathy pulled at the ends of her latex glove in embarrasment as Scott laughed before looking up, raising an eyebrow. Ah, so your definitely a Greek. Katherine was trained in the 3rd cohort, and often they were often proud and analytical of Greek demigods. She didn’t have anything against Greek demigods of course, she was grateful they opened up their Camp to the Roman demigods. There was differences of it though, Katherine always admired how the Greeks were less bloody and military-like, they were more like that laid-back uncle who always arrived late. “Oh,” Katherine laughed lightly waving away the question. “That’s quite simple. I’m Katherine, daughter of Luna.” Selene to the Greeks. She paused before asking him, “What about you? Don’t know much about you other than you have a knack for getting non-infected wounds, quite a talent, I must add.” Katherine joked lightly.

“Right here…I think.”

Ariadne looked at the boy below her in concern, still unable to catch onto the trick. Her brows knitted slightly as he pointed to an area of his stomach, but she couldn’t see any outlying wound or anything actually hurt. She bit her lip slightly, doubt starting to creep in her mind until her attempted to touch the area he claimed was wounded and released out a shriek. Her eyes widened in alarm as he shrieked nearly stumbling back at the suddenness. “Oh dear…” She trailed off, crouching in the grass reaching onto the ground to steady herself but she was thrown off with the sound he made, sounding close to a…chuckle? She gave him a questioning look, as her eyes flicked back to his face before asking, “Are you…laughing?” A painful facial expression was laid out on his face but it bothered her, as if it wasn’t quite authentic. She didn’t want to be that person, but she still had to ask, “Are you messing with me? If so, that’s not very funny.” A frown tugged her lips downward, after everything that had happened, this was probably the last thing that would ever be funny. She rolled her eyes as she stood back up.

Akio Moore
With Audrey || Mess Hall

It was unusual for Akio to feel quite so defensive. Although he was not part of the Norse specifically, it would really be a bit difficult to differentiate considering that the three groups-- Norse, Egyptian, and Roman --arrived at right around the same time not too long ago. Of course, though, he held his tongue as he so often did. Instead, he continued listening to her, nodding in response to what she said. Although… he could not help but wonder… If there was one guaranteed traitor, then who was to say that there was not another? For all they knew, there could be at least one from each pantheon which was a bit of a terrifying thought. Why not cover all the bases? The thought made him sigh before stuffing a fork full of food into his mouth.
When Audrey shook her head, denying any sort of explanation, her simple response caused a feeling of dread deep within his stomach. “Ah… I see…”
He was silent as his eyes slowly drifted down to his near-empty plate of food. Had he really been eating that much as they spoke? “Well, onto a lighter topic… Do you… Do you need a refill for your drink?” Akio felt a little desperate to change the topic yet struggled to think of anything. Perhaps if he were gone for a moment, he could return and there would be a more… well, a more pleasant vibe. Right now, at least for him personally, the tension felt rather thick. It was not necessarily either of their faults, though, considering the trials were about to start any moment now.

Cress Keaton
With Laron || Mess Hall

And so the nickname seemed to stick much to her hidden annoyance. Perhaps it would grow on her, if she were lucky. Or… if she were even luckier, today would be the last day the two had to deal with one another. It was unusual for her to hang around someone. She was not a fan of it.
It would have been too easy to slip away once the pair arrived in the mess hall but she decided it would be best to stick it out until she could pass him safely back into the caring arms of the man with a funny accent. It was a bit difficult to keep up with him once he set foot in the area, after all. The boy was clearly desperate for some food-- he rushed to the tables with no second thought, abandoning her in the crowd. Thankfully, she had managed to get back to him and stood only a few meters away from him with crossed arms. Some sort of realization shone is his eyes though as he saw her. Or maybe she completely imagined it, either way, with her lips rolled inward, she got herself a drink and stood close enough to speak to him. “I know ya said that you’d survive, but I’m still a bit too worried to lose you in a mess hall overflowing with starved demigods, y’know?” Her brow rose as her eyes scanned the room. As she looked at him once again, she smiled, ready for whatever sarcastic remark he would produce this time. She figured that it was physically impossible for him to straightforward and genuine.

Everything happened too fast for Cress’ liking as a girl began to clutch her stomach and another camper fell to the floor, black blood pouring from his neck. Even she could not suppress the quiet gasp, her eyes widening. The situation felt kind of surreal. Cress felt kind of sick.

His nonchalant deflection of what she had thought was a pretty clever insult made Arden roll her eyes. Yet a confident smirk remained etched onto her face, taking the place of the usual scowl that she wore; there was no doubt in her mind that she would lose this fight. Even if “brains” surpassed “brawn” who was to say that he actually had any to begin with? “Fine by me, Marcus.”
She made her way to the center of the arena calmly, the two short-hand blades held rotating loosely in her hands once, twice. She was done. She had nothing to prove to him by showing off how she handled weapons with ease-- instead, she quickly looked him over, ignoring his surveying eyes as she ignored his lunge. Arden could not imagine that he would truly make the first move and because of that, she decided to attack, feeling as though she did not need any more time to look him over. She swung at him, light on her feet as she prepared herself to move in accordance to what was needed. A part of her hoped that she would have an excuse to jump in an attempt to dodge him. No particular reason, just so that she could look a bit cool. Plus, looking down at what she could only imagine as a shocked expression was… a pleasant thought.

Marcus expected Arden to move forward in an attack and she followed suit with how he had expected, he shifted his body to the left, dodging it cleanly, keeping his eyes on her body movement in order to anticipate her next move. He dug his foot into the dirt of the arena as his heart began to beat faster, adrenaline racing throughout out his body, a slight breeze of wind ruffling his hair lightly. His eyes danced all over the arena looking for an idea and area. Gripping the twin daggers he raised one above his head and moved froward to attack, he didn’t have any special abilities so he would have to rely completely on skill. He danced on the edge, close enough to strike but not yet, as if he was looking for an area. With a single quick flick of his right hand he ran forward flipping the dagger up in the air and it landing back in his hand as a sharply wicked sword and swung the large sword towards her.

He didn’t like the things he was seeing the Greek camp like this. It was in a chaotic state. The crops were burnt, no guards looking out for monsters or protecting the camp. the campers he did see looked like they could die at any moment they looked so frail. Drew wondered what he missed while he journeyed to the camp after leaving camp Jupiter after finding remaining 5th cohort survivors he could. The camp was now in ruins. Camp half-blood wasn’t much better. He casually walked around the camp trying to find out anything he could about the camp only to see some empousa declare “Mabel” a traitor and kill another.

The empousa where tricky things. Since Drew arrived after his fellow Romans he was going to keep his mouth shut for now. He needed more information before he could assess the situation.

Did mabel really betray us? Why did the Empousa kill Ebony. She looked so innocent in all this. if anything Ebony should of died a lot later in life than she did. These thoughts rattled around Ray’s head like an annoying song stuck in your head. Ray wasn’t up for looking at the people gathered for the trail let alone Ebony’s body on the floor. Ray left and started wondering about the camp hoping for any kind of distraction. She hoped to the heavens that Bryan was having better luck on his quest.

She wasn’t answering for a while and due to the mask covering her face, Scott couldn’t see her expression clearly. Maybe his words had offended her, or maybe she had just zoned out for a moment. It was hard to tell.
He was about to ask her again when she let out a soft laugh, introducing herself as Katherine, daughter of Luna.
Scott had difficulties remembering who exactly Luna was but then it hit him. Roman… Titan goddess of the Moon?
The fact that the girl was descendant of a Titan goddess slightly surprised him, but then he reminded himself that it was nothing to fanboy over. After all, he had some godly genes too.
Yeah… He was Zelus’ son.
Suddenly, Scott got overwhelmed by a strong feeling of jealousy, as if his father’s name had somehow activated it. Situations like that one really made him regret his godly origin sometimes. Zelus’ power over jealousy didn’t seem so cool once you realized you weren’t immune to it.
Luckily, his inner battle soon ended and Scott finally managed to put a smile on his lips.

She was more determined to keep an eye on him than he had originally thought, and her next words only confirmed it.
“You’re worried to lose me in a mess hall overflowing with starved demigods? Please… It’s not like they’re gonna eat me, Goldie. Stop worrying and relax.” He joked once again, then suddenly put his sandwich down on the plate, spotting something he hadn’t tasted for years.
“Are you seeing it too? Bubble tea?” He asked Cress, pointing at the other side of the table in surprise. Maybe the gods were playing tricks on his mind and he was only imagining it. Would they be so cruel?
Why would they try to remind him… Of his mother…?
In just a moment, all of his emotions became a tangled mess, leaving him numb to everything happening around him.
It felt like his body was in the present while his mind was wandering in the past, going through those horrible memories again.
His vision turned blurry but before he had caught a glimpse of two demigods covered in blood, fighting for their lives. The world around him spun and his legs didn’t seem so stable anymore.

Yay! He’s close to fainting! I’m sorry Cress :see_no_evil:

@Daunt - Cress I’m finally done! I hope it’s not that terrible. As I told Ani, you don’t have to rush with Cress’ post because I’ll be less active this week.

I looked up to her, while I was squatted on the ground. Her fingers grazed my forehead where a scratch resided. I flinched with a grunt.
“Yeah… sure…” I said, in hope this invasion would never happen again.
My cuts and scratches were beginning to heal, but they continued to sting. I looked down at the ground and took in deep breaths trying to calm myself down. I gritted my teeth and balled my hands into fist. Even though we vanquished the harpies, it felt as if we failed. Monsters entered our one and only home, that shouldn’t happen! Camp Half-Blood is- who am I kidding- was a safe place. Camp Half-Blood is our place of security, where we feel safe, how are we suppose to trust this tiny hill to protect us? How are we suppose to protect her leader to protect us?
We’ve already come to the decision that there’s a traitor… can we really trust anyone?

The girl headed inside the Mess Hall. I looked around to make sure nobody was around, and stood and kicked the wood barrel I found close by. It shattered into shards. I looked down at my hands at the marks of my nails digging into my own skin.

The sound of footsteps echoed as everyone turned around to the empousas, as they morphed into girls. Everyone’s breath were taken away, as everyone stood on the edge of their seat. I looked around for the nearest things I could grab, until one began speaking.
A cup hit the floor as I looked over to the source. A young girl began sobbing, clutching her stomach as the poison traveled through her organs and veins. Panic began rising in my stomach and throat.
I felt in itch in my neck. I scratched the side of my neck and looked down at my finger. Nightmare black blood rested on my two fingers as I collapsed to the floor clutching my neck, as the blood fled and I grew cold. Coughing and gasping as I grew short of breath I only had seconds. I stomped my foot on the ground as my only form of communication, to plead for an antidote.

Campers voices raised and anger flew in a wave. The empousas nodded towards each other, understanding the immediate decision. I could feel the blood flow stopping and my neck forming a small scab. I coughed and gasped for air as a single tear dropped onto the floor.

:fire: Mabel Jefferson :bouquet:

As empousas entered the room, Mabel could feel the tension begin thickening and the deal that was about to present itself. She closed her eyes and listened to the screams of horror, gasps for breath, and a cold lifeless body drop.
She could feel the pointing finger towards her and the stares and furrowing of the brows. She slowly opened her eyes and smirked. With a small shrug she spoke, “It’s true.”
Immediately she received backlash from the poor and weak girl she spoke to this morning. All she did was smile and remain quiet to leave her guessing.
Opening her mouth she shook her head slightly. “I don’t know…” Her brows slithered together as she left the girl with a face of remorse and reassurance- as if she felt any.
“Any other questions?” She asked with a bright face. “And if you could be kind enough, I’d like to choose my form of execution. Fire brings… such joy to me.”

:tada: Molly Beckett :tada:

I didn’t understand any of the words that tumbled out of her mouth but I nodded as if I did.
I shrugged. “Never been to one before. I assume like court… although I’ve never been to one either.” I scoffed quietly and drank more of my water.
“People have their guesses, I think everyone will be questioned?” I shrugged.
"I feel bad for the people who are suspected… they may be completely innocent and… we have no problem screaming ‘Off with their head!’ with no remorse are actual sense. No one here is a lawyer… no one knows how to question a witness!
“I swear everyone is stupid here.”
I shook my head.

:dna: Audrey Williams :dna:

I could tell I was frustrating him and shook my head. “I’ll shut up now…” I cleared my throat and shook my head as silence arrived at our little table.
This was the main reason nobody liked talking to me. I won’t lie, I was most definitely passionate in my opinions and tend to… shove it down other peoples throats. I had to work on that if I want people to look at me as a leader.
I wouldn’t mind ruling the camp, but I won’t get ahead of myself. The likely hood of that happening is… close to 0 however, my chances of cabin leader of Athena were not slim.
That was my main focus.

I chuckled. “Uh-” I looked over to the clock on the opposing wall and back to Akio. “You know the trial is starting soon, we should start heading there now!” I stood up and dusted myself off of crumbs. “Nice meeting you Akio.” I nodded towards him and headed to where the trial was taking place.

CLONE

 Colton-Elliot Novack

The day was so hectic.
I was tired and overwhelmed with the trial, traitor, deaths… all of it! Somebody died right in front of my eyes and two people were near death if it weren’t for our decision. But our decision cost a life in return. I mean, one death over two but it doesn’t make anyones passing any less valid.
I was shaken up and left in a state of worry and anxiety.
That dead body could’ve been me!
I couldn’t help but wonder… why did they choose her? Why did that girl have to die? I had seen her around the Egyptian cabins but never cared to approach her. Was she… somehow important? Those… monsters- whatever they are! - I’m sure they’re too intelligent to just choose anyone.
I was tired of my brain. I was constantly blabbing in my head, I just wanted myself to shut up and my brain to shutdown! I hadn’t gotten any sleep the past few days and it was really starting to affect me.
I entered my cabin to a guy with a darker complexion making himself at home and scouring the room.
“Uh… hello?” I said with a severe voice crack. My face burned as I clutched my neck and cleared my throat. “H- hello… uh, Colton.” I held out my hand for him to shake.
Hopefully he was comfortable with shaking ones hand.

Ajax Taylor - Infirmary ~ Before Trial - Kara
“Exactly. As much as trials cause tension, it should shine a light on things.” Ajax nodded slightly as he listened to Kara. “I will do everything in my power to get everything that’s needed as soon as possible.” He frowned looking at her arm. Ajax wasn’t a fan of seeing campers hurt like this, but especially now that Kara was made the Oracle, he was less of a fan of seeing her hurt. “Is there anything I can do to help you in any way?” Then at her question of who he thought could be the traitor he sighed. “I do not know. I don’t know many of the Norse or Egyptians, and I only know the Romans so well, and there are a lot of people here that I just can’t see why they would betray any of us. All I know is that there will be a lot of people hurt by this. Whether because of what happens, or because of being betrayed by someone they trusted.”

Vanya “Butterfly” Blake - Outside ~ Before Trial - Colton-Elliot
Most of the world scared Vanya, and she was still a mess from the rest of the events of the day. It wasn’t that he scared her, she just didn’t understand her own abilities. She just knew that everything in her head was messed up enough and any contact made it worse. Vanya tried her best to smile as he introduced himself. “Hi, Colton.” At the sight of his outstretched hand her eyes widened like saucers. She just shook her head, then brought her hands up to hold the sides of her head. There were so many times where someone had stretched their hand out and touched her that she could think of. Some worse than others, each time she saw visions she didn’t understand. “No. No, no.” She mumbled. He hadn’t even touched her, but just the near contact was enough to make tears form in her eyes. There was no way he would understand. The only person she knew that even seemed to slightly understand her was Holden.

Valdis Einarsdottir

All things that has happened these past days may be too much for some people to handle, but Valdis Einarsdottir was unbothered for the most part. However, some things just did not make sense to her. Sure, she’s used to serious and heavy deals, but taking a life for a knowledge? It just did not seem right for her. Taking an innocent life to know of the traitor was just like when the camp had judged the wrong person. The Empousas were wrong to take the wrong life in front of her.

For that very reason, Valdis could not stop but be angry. Why did they not just take the traitor’s life instead? That way, we could’ve been fair at least.

Zaire Signon

After seeing her reaction, Zaire had to admit that he was slightly proud of his shriek. “Yeah, I feel like it’s pretty bad…”’ As soon as he looked up at her, he could tell she was questioning him. She definitely heard it. C’mon, you could’ve done so much better than that dude. Zaire’s face was filled with surprise, “Me. Laughing? Why would you think such a thing?” He looked at her with a convincing look and continued to speak, “Why would I waste my time and pretend to be hurt, when I could be doing so much more?” Once she asked another question, Zaire face palmed himself with both hands, and dragged his hands down his face dramatically. “Okay, fine-“ he stopped midway, and pointed at her with a smirk, “but I got you pretty good though.” He stood up after she did and pouted, “Come on, don’t be a bore. It was funny and you know it.” Zaire walked ahead of her and laughed, “You know what? Tell me why you think otherwise. I’d love to know as to why it’s not funny.”

Micah was arguably lucky he hadn’t been placed on trial. He had several enemies within camp and many who had little to no trust in him. But they also knew just how serious he was about his name, his patron, and being the top semi God. That meant, well. Not betraying.
Everything had seemed to pass on in some type of haze. One minute he was grinning ear to ear fighting harpies, the next they were finding a guilty suspect, and now the empousas were trying to strike a deal. Their countenances already appeared suspicious, but the moment Micah heard the traitor would be pointed out, he was a bit more willing to accept their “gracious” offer.
“There’s a traitor for you.”
Everyone’s eyes and bodies turned to Mabel.
Micah’s jaw clenched and his fist followed suit.
“That little piece of-”
A scream interrupted the murmuring sounds of betrayal, and everyone watched in horror as one of the emposusas bit a girls neck.
They disappeared, and everyone stood there, almost silently. Almost frozen.
And it p!ssed Micah off.
He took a step forward and his half-sister Amara quickly grabbed his arm.
“Mich, don’t do anything rash. We have to take a vote-”
He shoved her arm away roughly, his nostrils flaring with anger.
A girl named Emma yelled out at her, but took no action.
“Any other questions?”
Micah pushed aside the crowd and scoffed, walking towards her as he lifted his chin up. “How’s your pain tolerance?”
“And if you could be kind enough, I’d like to choose my form of execution. Fire brings… such joy to me.”
“Oh ho ho,” he breathed out, a wicked smile painting his lips. “You think you get the luxury of choosing how you die?” The moment he was within arms reach his hand shot out and grabbed her by the collar of her shirt, lifting her up a few inches from the ground so his eyes met hers.
Gasps and shouts filled the room as his free hand pulled out the knife from his side sheath, putting it to her neck. “I will make sure you suffer a long, agonizing death,” he hissed.
“Micah! Let her go!” A girl cried. “She might have been blackmailed into doing it! We need to let her talk-”
Micah’s lips tightened as he lifted Mabel up higher, and threw her hard into the floor.
“Then she should have died instead of accepting being a traitor.” He kicked her in the stomach and ran a hand through his hair before flipping the knife expertly along his fingers.
He walked slowly towards Mabel once again, his footsteps heavy. “This girl killed your friends!” He looked towards the crowd, his arms outstrecthed as he pointed randomly at the spectators. “Killed your family!”
He crouched down, tilting his head at Mabel before grabbing her by her hair and standing back up.
“I think we all deserve to spill a little bit of her blood.”
“You’re a monster!” Someone else shouted.
Micah simply laughed. In that moment, he looked psychotic. In his mind, this was the right thing. The just thing.
“The monsters are out there. And they broke through our defenses and spilt the blood of our brothers on our own land.”
A small group stood apart from the crowd, weapons pulled. Amara and Negan included. Micah glared at her.
“We’re doing this the right way Micah,” she stated calmly, holding out her hand. “I know you’re upset, but don’t do something you’ll regret. You’ve known her. You’ve seen her around. It will haunt you if you pull through with this.”
Micah paused for a moment, as if considering it. “The only thing that will haunt me is if this thing doesn’t get what it deserves.”
He looked around the crowd. “Well? Don’t just stand there!”
