Camp Half-Blood: Siren's Cry || Official Roleplay

Val :ocean:

“Stop it. These questions aren’t helping anyone find the traitor.” Val called out. Her half sister didn’t seem to be liking how this was going. Though it was nice to hear what things they could do with their powers. "What if there is no traitor! Val continued to shout.

“Yep. don’t like it some days but it comes in handy trying to find people. Probably for the best we avoid that subject.” Emma said genuinely happy with her answers. Emma always forgets the Greeks don’t have an equivalent to Lupa as far as she knew. Molly surprised Emma with her caring nature. To be fair Emma didn’t know the girl all that well, she was nice and Emma would be nice back. “What do you think the camp like before all this stuff started” Emma was genuinely curious of what the camp was like before the fall of New York and Camp Jupiter.

I understood why she didn’t want to talk about it. I wasn’t fond of talking of my mother either. I ate another bit of my salad when she asked me another question. “Eh, normal.” I said nodding. "Well… as normal as it can be. I don’t know, I’ve only been here for a couple of days I’m pretty new. Just… training, dinner, capture the flag.
“Sometimes it felt like jail. Being locked up in an area for our own wellbeing. But then we just die at 20.” I shrugged and took another bite.
“The normal.”

While Molly was talking Emma took a sip of her drink. So young. Why didn’t they make it past 20? Emma did a spit take almost hitting Molly in the face with. The fact that they Greeks didn’t make it past 20 years old was a real shock. At Camp Jupiter their was kids playing, some older retired demigods. “Sounds like it was fun. I do have one question you don’t have to answer it if you don’t want to. Why don’t you guys live past 20?” Emma hoped that Molly would give her the answer she was looking for though she didn’t want to push molly if it was an uncomfortable subject.

I took a bite of my salad and looked back up at Emma. I didn’t like talking about that. Knowing I wouldn’t make it into my 20’s, the decades where I could drink legally, party, and just live my life. That’s why I did all of that now, because I wouldn’t be able to later.
I shrugged. “Beats me.”
Even though I didn’t want to talk about it, I couldn’t because I didn’t know!
“I don’t know a lot about greek mythology, and honestly I don’t care!” I chuckled taking the last bite of my salad.

Emma thought Molly was lying but didn’t want to bring it up. The subject must be hard to talk about. Emma could be wrong so she dropped the subject. “Sorry, if I made you uncomfortable” Emma didn’t like to apologise but felt it was needed. Emma would just have to ask another Greek demigod. What to do? A random thought popped into Emma’s head “What do cabin leaders do other than have to do what Ajax says?” Emma had a feeling Molly would know.

She was about to reply when someone interrupted her. Eden looked at the person in question and mouthed a silent “Thank You!” in her direction. She was right, after all, all of these questions were speculation based but if she wanted to get this over with, she had to say something. “Due to the head of the court not intervening in this, that seems to be a clear sign to me telling me I should continue” she was interrupted by a coughing fit. She hadn’t had water to drink and now her throat was dry.“I’m sorry about that.” she lied. “I have no living relatives but I have been accused of harming people,” she replied sharply, completely ignoring the first question. As for being accused of harming people, she didn’t particularly like that memory but brutal honesty was the way to go.

“It’s fine.” I said shaking my head with a small smile.
I didn’t want to speak on living until 20. Joking about it helped me be comfortable with it. I always kept in mind that I wasn’t going to be around for long and thus my childish behavior. I didn’t take things to seriously cause in the end, it wasn’t like it mattered.
I shrugged. “I don’t know. Cabin… leader-y things. In my opinion there’s no use for them.” I chuckled.
“Most of them are just party poopers.” I took a sip of my water.
“Have you been to one of these camps before all of this happened?”

Emma noted that Eden didn’t answer her first question. Emma followed Eden’s eyes to see who inverted on her behalf. Her assertion of there not being a traitor seemed to be weird. So Eden had hurt someone before. Why won’t she tell the court to defend herself. After all most people could probably understand her if she explained. the Oracle judge seemed to ignore the unexpected outburst and seemed to allow Eden to answer her questions. Fed up of Eden’s elusiveness Emma said “Your witness, your honour” Emma sat back down.

Being a cabin leader did seem like a select group. Emma wasn’t sure why and there was way more than what was needed. “Camp Jupiter. It was very different from here. First you had to pass the training in the Wolf house. Basically it’s stricter than here, more military like. We didn’t have cabins like there is here.” Emma tried to word her answer carefully as not to confuse Molly.

The room grew silent for a moment after Emma had finished, until Esme had finally spoken up. “Um- I have some questions to ask, your honor.” She said in a quiet voice but loud enough for most to hear. She sauntered over to where Eden was standing. “As for being accused of harming people, was there anything or anyone that influenced you to do so?” She said, softly exhaling and waiting for Eden’s response.

After the girl left the hall fell silent. It was pleasant at first, to have peace and be able to go over her thoughts but when she realised everyone was looking at her, she froze up and all that peace she had before was replaced with fear and uncertantity. She started dragging her fingers through her hair, a bad habit she had developed in that hell hole they called a hospital. She suddenly realized that there were sometimes things would happen to her and she wouldn’t be able to remember, maybe she’d be able to remember a few words or two. It was something she needed to speak to someone about but who would be able to do that for her, especially knowing that she’s considered a suspect. She was brought out of her thought and she startled, nearly doubling over by the sheer force of hitting her back on the banister. Why people brought people out of their thoughts so sharply, she would never understand. She looked at the girl in front of her with a confused expression, trying to remember what she said, seeing as she wasn’t paying attention. She was only able to remember snippets of words and hoped she wouldn’t make fool of herself, again. “Well, it was when I was trying to get out of the hospital, the guards were chasing me, so I used my hydrokinesis to… to… to…” she tried to continue but couldn’t. There was something about that particular day that she just couldn’t remember. All she knew was that she used her hydrokinesis to do something to them but she didn’t know what. She was trying to recall the events of that day but everything seemed so blurry or non existent. She grabbed on to the banister and was trying so hard. Her knuckles were white, her hair was sticking unto her face because of her sweat. “I’m sorry I can’t remember what happened. All I do know is that they got injured badly, how I don’t know.”

Kaylen strode up to the stand, it was her turn to interrogate the traitors. She pulled her hair back into a ponytail and straightened her posture. “I’d like to interrogate Dorian.” She said, her voice clear. She looked him in the eye, making sure she could see his lips and asked “So Dorian, during the attack, you were unharmed, correct?”

Dorian || With da girl who is enjoying this all too much || Being tried for leaving pineapples out in the sun for too long

Dorian’s automatic and natural response to normally high stressful situations was simply a good dosage of the average chill pill. Or in his case, chill drink. When he heard he was being accused of being the traitor within their already pretty destroyed unstable camp after the fall of New York, he’d of course denied it with a bit of anger and bark but was dragged to be interrogated anyway. Though on the stand, his face was compltely calm and relaxed. He’d of course prepared by drinking a bit too much just before, and he was glad the alcohol was taking effect. It meant people wouldn’t take him seriously, nor would they take the idea of some drunk being a betrayer seriously either.

Kaylen, a young but confident girl strode forward. Aries pursed his lips and blinked, not even staring at her as she spoke.
"So Dorian, during the attack, you were unharmed, correct?”
That’s when Dorian’s eyes met hers. It was not a look of hate or anger towards her for already having an accusing tone. It was total amusement.
He gasped and lifted up his elbow. “Does this look unharmed to you?!” There was a small scratch on his forearm, small enough to not even produce a large amount of blood.
He shook his head at her and crossed his arms. “I am offended, Kaylen. Offended!” He stated dramatically.

Kaylen rolled her eyes. Here we go. She thought as she crossed her arms, staring him down. She couldn’t help but admit to herself that she was impressed how nonchalant he was about his situation. “So I’m correct.” She stated, raising her eyebrow with a brief gesture to the scratch on his arm, which she was guessing hurt for a few minutes and no longer bothered him. “Try to be a little more serious.” She reprimanded him in relation to his attitude, her expression unwavering. “Care to explain to the court how you managed to ward off a harpy by simply waving an arrow in the air?” She inquired.

“So I’m correct.”
“Um, no,” He corrected, pointing to the scratch once again. He scoffed and shook his head at her. “Oh I see. This isn’t enough to constitute as damage. How about my emotional damage? Those Harpy faces are traumatizing.”
“Try to be a little more serious.” Dorian’s face did just that as he nodded, gesturing a hand to her. “I am being serious. I think the fact that you’re not taking me seriously just makes you a bad lawyer.”
“Care to explain to the court how you managed to ward off a harpy by simply waving an arrow in the air?” He lifted a curious brow at the next question before giving an recognizing “Oh” and proceeding. He leaned forward, a playful smirk on his face. “Would you believe me if I said I offered her free wine and she totally agreed to leave me be after a nice picnic during the chaos?”

Katherine Tania Kolchis || Infirmary ~ Scott McCallen

Katherine observed the wound as he sat on the hospital bed, she didn’t grab anything, she had no need to. She was relieved she let her see the wound, some campers attempted hobbling out with wounds in need of stitches because they were running out of ambrosia and had to make due with a needle and thread. When he first took off his jacket, she was concerned it was something serious but it was only a scratch, albiet long and it hadn’t recieved an infection. She lightly touched the ends of the wound and nodded slightly before speaking. “It’s not bad, just a long scratch and it won’t take long to heal.” She took off the latex glove on her right hand, the latex would interfere with her abilities. She paused, her hand above the scratch before glancing at the ginger she was treating. “It’ll feel funny for a bit, but try not to fight it so much.” She took a deep breath before getting to work, reaching for the shadows in the corners and crevices of the infirmary she summoned them to her hand, a dark collection of swirling shadows. She touched the edge of the scratch and imagined the shadows running into it, going under the skin and into the wound. The shadows did just that, pulsing under the skin for a moment before disappearing. Slowly skin started to grow quickly, closing the scratch and fusing the skin together, a small dark scar was visible at first until it began to fade into nothingness. Katherine turned away taking off her left latex glove and grabbing two more to replace the ones she’d taken off her hand. “You’ll be good for now,” she said softly. “Anything else I should look over before I go?”

~ Quest Chapter 4~

Bryan, Arden, Quintella

“Sleep sounds good. What was that you did to the receptionist?”

Quintella shrugged slightly, fingering her cap lightly before taking it off. “Charmspeak,” Quintella responded. “I can charm others to my will.”

They stood outside the office, the doors locked and the lights turned off, it was eeirly quiet for a hotel, but then again this was the floor restricted to employees, who were all asleep.

“How’re we supposed to get in?” Bryan whispered before shivering as a draft of cold wind blew through the hallway. Arden looked around before her eyes settling on a pool, grimacing she picked up the rusted pole before raising it and jamming it into the lock and bending it backward. With a pop the lock clicked and fell off the door, the door swinging open as of it’s own accord.

“Well I’ll be d-mned, good one,” Quintella murmured as she stepped inside the office without waiting for her companion flipping on the lights. Just as she had predicted, computers lined the reception desk. Quintella quickly moved behind it, shaking the mouse for the computer to wake up. A password prompt glared at them. “Sh-t,” Quintella whispered.

Bryan and Arden came over and stared at it, niether of them knew the password. Bryan paused, looking at the logo, “Lander Hotel Chain,” Bryan nudged Quintella aside gently before saying. “Every father wants to remeber their kid, have hope they’re alright, right?” He said before entering in a few short phrases before finally coming up with the the password: narak02014, (Greek Camper :heavy_check_mark: Harmonia :heavy_check_mark: ) the computer beeped before letting them in.

Bryan clicked on the Chrome icon before typing into the search adress, Los Angeles. Footsteps pattered by, they looked at each other, reaching for the emergency switch Arden quickly switched off the lights while Quintella turned off the monitor and they crouched behind the desk.

“Are you sure you smelled them?” Hissed someone.

“Abssssolutely, Venussss, Tyr and Harmonia. They ssssmelled deliciousss.” The trio glanced at each other in panic. “Thisss way,” the hissing sound came closer before stepping into the office.

with Levi|| The beach

With everything that was going on Damarco just needed some fresh air. He had wandered away from the battlefield, not even deigning to call it a camp and found himself at the beach. It was nice and cool out here. The air was clean, the temperature was amazing and water was so mesmerizing. He never got to go to the beach when he was alive but here he was. He wished he had brought a book with him but it was too kate to turn back now. He took off his shoes and socks and allowed the water to move over his legs. It was a fun experience but he didn’t like the fact that sand kept getting in between his toes.

Akio Moore
With Audrey

Admittedly, he was a bit unsure as to how he felt about Audrey thus far. Despite the at times offensive sarcasm, she still seemed interested in him enough to make conversation with him. Plus, she seemed to realize that some of the things she said could be taken poorly… As of right now, although still a bit hesitant, he liked her. Most people would probably be annoyed about the fact that they have to carry a conversation or would out-right ignore him no matter the circumstances. He was not exactly a confident charmer or anything.
He nodded in response to her apology, feeling as though it was not necessary to vocalize his acceptance. That, and he did not want to interrupt her since she began speaking a moment later. His brows knit together as disagreement transformed the features in his face. “Norse? I can not imagine any reason as to why the Norse would do it… Do you think it’s impossible that the traitor is Greek?” He asked hesitantly, hoping she did not take it personally. It seemed too cliché and/or predictable to have the traitor be a newcomer from the Norse or Egyptian pantheon. As for Roman… although he had only spent a short amount of time with them, he wanted to have faith in his fellow demigods. He wanted to believe that the traitor was not Roman. Granted, he did not want to believe that anyone was the traitor yet… here they were. “I hope so. Do you know what will happen afterwards?”
Akio had not heard much about what would happen after the trial and, for some reason, his stomach suddenly felt hollow as he began to wonder.

Next Suspect: Kai Zhang

“Kai Zhang,” Karan called out after the ending of Kaylen and Dorian’s back and forth. Campers were getting restless, so many suspects and so many were friends. They looked between each other as whispers of possible executions rumored around them.

“Burning.” Said one.

“Nope, I heard it was cuts.” Another whispered.

“Are you insane? It’s probably burying alive.”

“You’re all too violent, it’s probably a shot to the head, quick and painless.”

“Maybe poison? Cyanide?”

Kai walked up to the stand and swore to speak the truth before sitting down as the first interrogator came up: Eden Irvette
