Camp Half-Blood: Siren's Cry || Official Roleplay

Ajax Taylor - The Big House

The trial had Ajax on edge to begin with. Then as some began to whisper about the method of execution, Ajax’s posture grew more tense. When the time came, he would be the one to make the final decision. Technically anyone could have their own input, but it was a serious topic, not to be taken lightly. Then came the empousas. As the empousa that seemed to be the leader began speaking, he understood what was said completely. Ajax did everything he could to keep the camp running, but he was only one person. If everyone else kept going the way they were, then there would be no hope for the camp. Each problem the empousa listed was something Ajax had listed on the task list of things that needed to be done. He couldn’t do everything himself. Then the empousa offered a deal. To heal the two who were suffering from the tasks that were yet to be done, and to reveal the name of A Traitor. There was more than one, but there was no way to know how many. There could just have been the one they were looking for along with the one the empousas would name, or there could be even more. The biggest issue was that in trade, the cost was great. They would lose someone, but that didn’t change that the decision was made by the cabin leaders to accept the deal. The injured were healed, but an innocent camper was killed as they announced Mabel was a traitor. The entire time Ajax’s anger grew, and he wanted to go after the empousas for killing an innocent camper, but they disappeared. Ajax looked to Mabel, angry that she would betray the camp. She was welcomed into the camp, and she betrayed them all. Ajax, despite his anger knew there was a way to do things. Micah went after Mabel, and as much as Ajax would have like to do the same, he was going too far. That was something where she should not be left in a room in front of everyone. Ajax was seething at the sight before him as Kara reached her limit. He watched and listened as she spoke to everyone and made her way to Mabel. Everything Kara said was accurate, then after she left the tension in the room was still clear, as the argument of who should lock her away in her cabin began. Ajax stepped forward looking over everyone in the room. Anyone near him could have felt the static electricity in the air. “She is not the only one to blame here. You all are.” Those who did not know Ajax well, could easily tell he was angry, and those who knew Ajax well, knew enough to not risk pushing him any farther. Ajax was furious. Not just at Mabel, or the unknown traitors, or even the empousas. Ajax was furious with the campers. There were a few who Ajax knew there was no reason to be angry with, and they knew he wasn’t angry at them specifically. He was angry with the campers as a whole. He stomped over to Mabel, glaring at her. “You are going to tell us everything we want to know. Then I will decide what to do with you.” He snarled. Keeping Mabel within his sight, he looked to the other campers. “All of you take this place for granted! None of you had to be welcomed here. This camp was designed for those of us with Greek parents, yet we welcomed those of you who are Roman and lost your own camp, we welcomed those of you who are Egyptian and Norse, despite how different you are from us! However, none of you have tried to help us. Not even the Greek demigods who have been here for years! You all came here to be safe, somewhere you could be protected, but none of you are even trying to help protect this camp! I’ve done everything I can to keep this place, my home, from falling apart at the seams, and its all just fun and games for you all. Even the empousas could see that! You’ve all known about problems that have been needing taken care of, and not one of you has stepped up to help.” Ajax gestured towards the task list pinned to the wall nearby. “I have told you all myself that there are things that need to be done. Things that are necessary for the camp as a whole. With everything I do, I can’t do it all entirely on my own. You expect everything to be done for you, but here’s the truth. I can’t do everything around camp by myself, especially since you are all too lazy to do what I need you to do. You all think that you know better, but you haven’t even stopped to think about the consequences of your actions. You’re ready to just jump into action only thinking about right now and the immediate future. You are all just thinking about yourselves. Someone innocent is dead, and none of you have thought about her for even a second. This camp honors those we’ve lost. You’re just ready to see the next person’s blood on your hands. You should all be looking to prevent more deaths. By rushing into executing the guilty, you are sentencing more of the innocent to death.” With each word Ajax not only did not calm down, but grew more angry. “This all changes, Now. Things around camp are going to change starting now. You are all going to do your part to fix the problems around camp. There will be training so we can all be prepared for what comes next. There will be no more slacking off or taking the easy way. This is the beginning of a war. We are against a powerful enemy. One who is turning us against each other. By jumping at the opportunity to kill someone who has betrayed us, not even trying to discover the true problem is only going to help them. If you all don’t start looking forward at the big picture we’re all as good as dead.” Ajax was not going to sugarcoat a word he said. Everyone had to listen. “If anybody steps out of line there will be punishments. Rules are to be followed and things around here will be done. Fail, and we all suffer. You have seen that for yourselves.” He said in reference to Ariel having suffered from the poisoned water, and Austin having been injured by Elizabeth the anemoi. “You all have to start thinking ahead, and thinking about the good of the camp, not just yourselves. If you see a problem with this and refuse to help protect this place, then Leave and Never set foot in this camp again. And to anyone even thinking about turning on this camp and betraying us like she has, take this as a warning. The next traitor won’t be taken so lightly.” Ajax looked in the direction of Micah, Amara, and Negan as he grabbed Mabel by the arm, keeping a tight grip. “I will take her myself.”
