Camp Half-Blood: Siren's Cry || Official Roleplay

Eden Irvette |With Jax | Mess Hall

She felt more like a child being dragged around like a damsel in distress but she rather liked the fact that she didn’t have to engage in the battle. Everything passed in a blur and Eden hoped she would have to remember this day for the rest of her life. She was led to the mess hall and she thought they were going to part ways but the person just stood beside her. “My knight in shining armour , the danger has passed so you can let go,” she said while shifting her gaze from his face to their joined hands.

The sight of both their hands was unsettling. The way he was holding it reminded her of the way she was always led to that room and in fear she wrenched her hand from his and took a few steps away from him. “I’m sorry about that but I just wasn’t comfortable with you holding me like that,” she explained all the while looking at her feet.

I grunted with pain from the contact. “Alright 3 months. I can have a cast for 3 months.” Holy crap, three months?! Trying not to freak out visually I took a deep breath and closed my eyes shut. As Finn began patching up my face, I couldn’t help but wonder who released the monsters. Nothing like that has ever happened before. Monsters are well at detecting our scent but never has it been dozens at a time. Someone planted them there, someone with access to such things. “There’s a traitor, right?” I said. “Who is it though? I mean it has to be someone from the other pantheons, it has to be!”

“Hey I know you are upset about three months stop trying to hide your emotions from me you are not very good at it.” I tell him as I finely get the scratch on his face to stop bleeding. “Your scratch might leave a little scar.” I say as I listen to what he said about letting monsters in. “Reu don’t freak out they will find out who is responsible for this but you need to worry about healing up.” I tell him as I smile and look for some bandages to cast his arm with.

I frowned. I’m not the best at hiding my expressions… or emotions… or opinions… and coincidentally enough I’m not the best at lying either, but I am good at finding the truth! - Not sure how helpful that is though. -
I took a deep breath and listened to Finn, my eyes still closed. “Yeah, yeah just… worry about healing.” But that didn’t stop my mind from running.
“You still playing medic during Capture the Flag?” I asked, trying to distract myself from my injuries and the traitor.

I could tell that he was still thinking about it but I wasn’t going to push him about it. I needed him to rest a bit when I was all done. I got the bandages out and looked at the splint that I had already put on his arm. That is when I heard what he said and was brought out of my thoughts"Yeah I usually do I like knowing that someone is here to help the kids that come in here. Maybe next time you should join me in helping in here."

I opened my eyes and looked at the splint on my arm and gazed at it. Luckily I could still utilize my fingers and thumb without causing pain or discomfort. “Yeah, maybe. But right now I’m no shape to do either fighting or playing doctor.” I sat up - with difficulty - and swung my hooves back onto the floor and stood up. “Thanks Finn.” I smiled. “You heading to the Mess Hall? I heard there’s food.”

Molly? It fit the her really well. She just had the look of a Molly.

Emma considered her answer carefully before speaking. “Not a clue. Its probably someone we would least expect. I don’t think its any of the Roman demigods.” Emma paused for a moment. She wasn’t sure how molly would react to her heightened sense of smell thanks to her mother Lupa. “Their scent would of changed if they met a stranger.” Though the voice and snakes from earlier didn’t give Emma any signs of which Parthenon they where apart of. so her noise is pretty much useless right now. “Who do you think the traitor is?” Emma asked Molly.

“I got to draw whatever I wanted. Mostly I drew bunnies.” She explained to him, eating another item off her plate. She liked talking to Connor, he was nice. “I’m not good at reading in English, so I go to a special school. We did art every day.” She informed him, putting her now empty plate on the ground beside her. “What was your favourite part of school?” She asked him, curious.

Kaylen Vancille

Kaylen nodded, listening to her explanation. Okay, that shouldn’t be so bad. She thought, seconds later wincing as the sword was pulled out. I take that back. That was awful. She looked up to the ceiling taking deep breaths as Ariadne finished stitching up the wound. Memories began resurfacing from her accident when she eleven and she closed her eyes, counting in her head in an attempt to calm down. Only when she finished the stiticing did she fully relax. “Thank you.” She said with a tired smile. “I thought I was going to die.” She confessed, looking over at Ariadne.

She spoke of a smell, which honestly I found weird. But everything was weird about being a demigod, it wasn’t the most unusual thing I’ve heard today. “I don’t actually. It has to be one of the pantheons. Camp was fine before they came.” I shrugged taking a bite of my salad and looking back up at her. “No offense to you if you aren’t Greek. A- are you greek?” I hadn’t even begged the question.

:waxing_crescent_moon: Connor Beckett :waxing_crescent_moon:

I chuckled. “You and me both, I still can hardly read.” I shrugged. I was terrible at school. I never understood how I managed to pass each grade. It wasn’t until 6th grade I knew how to pronounce my last name… I always thought it was bucket.
I thought about her question. It was no secret I enjoyed talking - and that I was stupid. - I didn’t enjoy school nor did I pay attention. I hated sitting in a seat and listening to someone go on and on about the alphabet.
“Well, I really enjoyed talking! I didn’t really pay attention in school.” I frowned.
“Oh, I really liked recess! Recess was fun.” I nodded with a smile. “Did you like recess?”

Molly shrugged taking a bite of her salad and looking at Emma again. Emma wasn’t surprised to her molly think that way, After all her scent gave her away as a Greek demigod.

“No offense taken. I am the daughter of Lupa. She trains most of the roman demigods not to mention looks like a wolf half the time.” Emma rolled her eyes after bring up her mothers training. Her mothers training was criptic at time for normal demigods for her it was just harsh and hard to live up to her exceptions. “I would be surpised if you didn’t think that. after all this camp is your home before the fall of new york? You have a scent of greek demi good” Emma smiled trying to break up the tension.

Trial

The trial for the traitor has begun. Everyone must proceed to the Big House. You can have your characters starting that.

The Judge: Oracle (Karan)
The Jury: Cabin Leaders
The Executioner: Camp Leader (Ajax)

First Accusation: Azalea

“Azalea, daughter of Ceres, please come to the stand,” Karan said, reading off the tiny bit of paper. It was quite simple how it would work, the campers beforehand had put their accusations on a slip of paper into a box, and each person would come up to defend themself. Each cabin leader had a chance to come up and interrogate them, the campers could whisper their own comments among themselves but they couldn’t do a few things. For one, their camp leader was their leader, they were not allowed to scream or fight with them or any other Camp Leader. They weren’t allowed to talk with them either as to avoid persuasion until recess. Camp Leaders could come up one by one and interrogate the person on the stand and when they were seated another would take their place. The only person allowed to defend the defendant on the stand was a cabin leader of their own free will. “Do you swear on the Styx to say the truth and nothing but the truth?” Azalea nodded, and swore herself in. “The witness is yours,” she instructed to the first cabin leader.

@CHBRPers ~ If you want to be the first one to interrogate Azalea let us know on the sign-ups. If you want to be her attorney do the same.

Ray had been wondering about the camp trying to distract herself from Bryan’s quest and the monster attack. Ray wasn’t sure what to expect in the trail for the traitor. Hell she was even standing in as cabin leader since Bryan was away. She hoped to the gods that she would make her brother proud with how she is handling herself right now. she hasn’t been in that many fights. The room was silent waiting for the first person to be accused.

Azalea

the judge Karan called out. Ray wasn’t to sure what a cabin leader dose as jury for the trial. she decided waiting to see what someone else did was the best thing to do in this situation. Ray hadn’t talked to Azalea to know if she would do this thing or not.

Marcus has his suspects on who the traitor was that started this, and he wanted to see them. “I’ll go first, your honor.” He spoke up rising to approach the stand which Azalea sat. “Miss. Azalea,” Marcus began pacing around the room. “Would you mind detailing the courts of your impressive abilities?” He asked, tapping his foot slightly and waiting for her response. “In addition any physical and medical limitations or disabilities that might contribute you feeling unwell on any given day?”

Emma wondered how the Greeks did their trials. She knew it probably rarely happened like at Camp Jupiter. Being accused of being a traitor is a big deal. She wanted to be one of the people interrogating the accused. She hoped it wasn’t anyone she was close with. Ajax called out the first accused

Azalea

The new Oracle Karan declared. Emma had no recollection of talking to the accused. She wanted a crack at them. Another cabin leader beat her to it. Emma was a bit disappointed by her slowness but it was a great chance to see how the accused reacted and plan her questions out carefully.

Azalea had looked up in surprise when her name was called. She had been sick through out the whole day and now she had to face all of these people? She walked up proudly to the stand and swore herself in. The first person to interrogate her seemed to know his stuff. “Chlorokinesis is the ability to manipulate, change and occasionally generate plant life of all forms. This includes flowers, seeds, trees, moss, grass and more,” she replied boldly. If these people are going to accuse me, I might as well stand my ground. “I don’t think I’m comfortable sharing that particular piece of information, as it’s a very sensitive topic,” she said with a sneer placed on her face.

Marcus smiled, teeth perfectly white and grinning. “Ah, amazing.” He turned to jury, “I’m pretty jealous.” He turned back to Azalea and continued his line of questioning with her. “Interesting, Azalea tell us, do you have any living relatives or people you care about back in the real world?”

She just eyed him from where she stood, trying her best not to bring some vines and choke him until his lights dim out. He was too smug for her liking but considering she was suspected as a traitor already, killing a camp leader in front of everyone would just get her executed. “I have no living relatives I care about in the real world,” she replied her throat suddenly feeling tight. “I’m sorry to question your reasoning but how does asking me personal questions relate to the reason I’m standing in here?” she asked cooly.

Marcus cocked an eyebrow, “I don’t have to ansewer your question, you realize? You’re being interrogated, but as always, I’m two steps ahead of you my dear,” Marcus winked slightly. “Let’s see, no living relatives that takes one of the most common motives, protection.” But Marcus paused before grinning wickedly towards the rest of jury. “It also makes her all the more guilty, if she doesn’t have any living relatives she has nothing to defend herself with. Which shows her nothing less than a cold-blooded traitor and open to charges of attempted and premeditated murder instead of self-defense.” Marcus paced slightly. “Azalea, daughter of Ceres, was shown to be extremely sick on the day of the attack, and showed extreme case of nerves.” The iris mirrors paused, showing close ups of Azalea’s reaction to the breaking of the barrier. “Nervousness is one of the leading effects of participating in an actus rea or the legal term for: guilty act.” Marcus paused before walking back to his seat. “Your witness.”
