Ajax • Outside the Forest
A little while after talking with Ajax and they had agreed to go to the celebration together, Karan found herself in her cabin picking out something to wear. Normally, she skipped out on these types of things, celebrations, balls, etc. Usually because she was sick or she wasn’t interested- and when she did go she often decided not to focus on what to wear. Being the child of a rich man however, Karan had many dresses and things to choose from but while most things she choose by random she found herself carefully selecting what she wanted to wear tonight. She chose one of her less elaborate dresses- even though it was still rather special and ten minutes later she found herself out of the door in heels. Karan wasn’t unused to heels, nor was she unused to dresses, while she did not regularly wear them in camp, she was familiar and comfortable in them from attending balls and galas. She easily walked in the heels towards the forest, where Ajax and her had agreed to meet up. She felt slightly nervous, for reasons she couldn’t quite decipher as she waited for her newest friend to arrive.
Connor • Outside Luna Cabin
Katherine was dressed in a dress that reminded her of the night sky and she hadn’t worn heels in such a long time, so she shifted from foot to foot as she awaited someone, her nerves getting the better of her. No, it wasn’t a date- was it? No, no. It was just friends going together to a party…Katherine didn’t quite know where it started, all she knew was that she met a Greek camper - Connor - and they ended up talking and now they’re going to the celebration together. Katherine took a deep breath and quietly opened up the door of her cabin and stepped outside, she fiddled with the tulle on her dress, a dress she had never worn before but found in her closet. Katherine didn’t think it’d be a stretch to believe that possibly her mother had dropped it there. She sighed slightly and continued to wait.
“I think this type of funeral is better. Instead of being sad they died, we’re celebrating that they lived”
Ariadne nodded in agreement, this way was less depressing. She swayed from side to side lightly with the music. She raised an eyebrow as he spoke, saying he was looking for a drink and one preferably without alcohol. A smile played on her lips, amused as she asked, “Ah, I take it you don’t drink then? Makes one of us.” Ariadne chuckled slightly before looking around, swirling her drink around in her glass before downing. Liquid courage, that’s what they called it. She leaned in closer to Caspian so he could hear her over the music and lively shouts of the other campers. She gave him a flirtatious smile before responding, “And say I do help you find one, what do I get?”
Anatolio smirked at Sienna and raised an eyebrow at her, surprised she could recall him. He ran his hand through his hair before giving an effortless laugh, “Is that what you think of me? A common drinker at parties?” He gave Sienna a teasing smile. “Now, Miss. Wardolf I’m deeply offended- besides, I for one follow the law. You seem a bit young for that drink in your hands.” He gave her a wink, amusement playing throughout his features as he observed the lady next to him, dressed in a black dress that flattered her rather well. He held up his hands in a mock sign of surrender before continuing, “Although I’m willing to not tip off the police if you offer me a dance.” He was a charmer, although through his enjoyment he hoped his power hadn’t turned on - the power to make others sexually and/or physically attracted to him. He held out his hand, “What do you say? I believe this to be rather fair game, wouldn’t you?”
Daphne Aliz Claramount
Daphne raised an eyebrow at the boy’s response, although a small smile found it’s way onto her face without her permission. “Ah,” Daphne began. “Than it seems I would need to introduce myself.” Daphne was infamous in the camp, for her quick anger and war-mongering habits and of course, being the Ares cabin leader. His playful demeanor was not lost on Daphne who adopted an amused expression for the boy before her. She tilted her head to the side as the boy introduced himself, “I’m Daphne, I’m the Ares cabin leader.” A small amount of pride tinged her voice, she was very proud of her heritage and the weight of her father’s name. She brushed a stray lock of black, curly hair away from her face before speaking again. “Non-alcoholic drink? Seems I’ve met someone with at least some level of class.” She took a sip of her own drink, savoring the taste, although she knew that a party like this would have her training for hours the next day- but it wouldn’t hurt to indulge slightly…especially after she herself had carried the dead girl’s body to the infirmary. “So tell me Demarco, which pantheon do you come from?”
