Camp Half-Blood: Siren's Cry || Official Roleplay

:tada: Molly Beckett :tada:

As much as I didn’t want to spend time with Kaylen, I had to get my swordsmanship up to par and training was no fun alone. I sighed and shrugged. “Sure…” I spoke under my breath. As I said, I didn’t have interest in getting to know siblings I never was even aware I had. And it wasn’t like I was being forced to. Plus if I get to know her she’ll just turn into my brother, overprotective. “If I died that wouldn’t affect your role. And I mean, we all are without food.” I started my way to the arena without waiting for her or slowing my pace.

The guy–who Ace now knew as Ajax dismissed the cabin leaders. Ace left the Big House with the remnants of war in his mind. Something like that made him shiver with fear, war was scary. Nothing he wanted. Ace looked around once he was outside. He spotted a familiar ginger and walked up to Austin, a light smile on his face.

“Hellooo…” Ace dragged out the ‘o’, as he draped his arm around Austin’s shoulder. I need to go to my cabin and get some more booze… He thought to himself as he looked at Austin. “I am back, and we are going to my cabin!” Ace decided this would be the perfect opportunity to force Austin to clean his cabin with him, it was a mess lately.

Erik Falkenburg // with Remy

Erik was still musing over the list when Remy spoke up. Or rather, he wasn’t really talking to Erik, but Erik still heard the gist of the sentence nevertheless. Of all the campers he listed off, Remy went with Colton-Eliot. If Remy chose that name, then he had to be an amazing match. This quest was officially going to be amazing.

Still, he was young, like really young. Erik approached him, tempted to make some age joke before realizing that compared to every normal teenager, Colton-Eliot would be considered normal. At least that still left self burns about how old Erik was himself. Not quite something to brag about, but it was something to brag about.

“So uh, hey there. I’m Erik, we’ve met a while ago,” he started. Yep, what a good intro. “Wanna be a team leader in our death squad…I mean travel squad? Because you are a son of death and everything? We’re gonna save the camp, you saw the fire and the angry gods.” He remembered to smile to see if that helped in any way.

“And Remy’s coming,” Erik added, if that wasn’t already evident, “You guys know each other right? It’s a pretty small camp.”

Karan’s head slightly hurt as she attempted to rewind her memory but after accepting Apollo’s patronship, she was throughly confused and couldn’t remeber a thing until she regained conciousness. That was probably the most insane, awful experience had as if Karan was pushed out of her own body. Yeah…not a fan. At all. She heard footsteps but mainly stared down, her long curls tumbling down her shoulder. She wasn’t a fan of attention and hopefully whoever it was would walk straight by.

“Are you alright Kara?”

The voice was a familiar one, it was the sound of Ajax’s voice, the current Camp Leader. Karan was familiar with him, they weren’t the best of friends nor particularly close- Karan wasn’t close with most people at this camp but they were alright. “Hmm? Yes, yes, I was just possesed by an oracle spirit and blacked out and when I regain conciousness I see everyone staring at me. So yes, quite fine thank you.” Kara laughed bitterly before looking up to meet Ajax’s eyes. "But honestly, I’m all good now, and you probably got important stuff to do, right? "

Anatolio nodded thoughtfully, “Ahh, my apologies, there’s no way I’d ignore you Abigail! You’re too amazing to be ignored.” He tapped his chin thoughtfully before adding, “I’ll make sure to keep a lookout from now on, there’s no way I’d want to overlook you.” He looked down to see the little girl draw on his stomach and her comment. He gave her a bright smile, showing his beautiful pearly teeth. “Ah, I see, does this work?” It wasn’t that hard to conjure up a smile for Abigail, she was such a cute and adorable kid, although she technically was older than him, it didn’t quite seem here. “I see, yeah I used to recall magic prevented anything but perfect weather but apparently that’s faded.” Anatolio was quiet before asking, “What was Valhalla like? Was it fun?” Anatolio smiled, “Me too, it’s always a nice thing to wake up in the morning.” He winked slightly before dramatically adding, “If I woke up in the afternoon that would’ve been a nightmare! Ugh, just no imagine waking up to the pretty sun, you just can’t, can you?” b bv vb

But since I like you, I’ll be your Helena to your Demetrius, 'aight?” Marcus gave a wink although his laugh at the end ruined it, he was quite used to the harsh words and dislike he often got but he went along with his life anyways, no need for others to drag him now. “Of course I realize, do you realize? Aurelio kept his act up, and the fact that thing replied made him more confident. Although, one thing he noticed was that the thing hissed, A Snake? I don’t know any gods who possess that ability. He brushed it off and continued thinking about what this could’ve meant. He knew he wouldn’t be the smartest at the minute, basically because the whole camp would’ve been freaking out. He atleast wanted to calm a few people down before continuing. Instead he found himself, getting caught up in that thing’s words. Although he didn’t trust almost anything the snake said, why would he lie?

Until he saw Audrey running out, he knew that the cabins were on fire and starting running after her, making sure she was okay. He knew that one of the powers he possessed was fire magic, enough to put out a fire. He stood still for a few minutes, before channeling his energy and putting out the fires by her. He caught himself and tapped her. “That was a suicide mission, fire is my thing. Although I can’t control it, I’ll try. I managed to clear out this section.”

Byleth Goldsmith | with Ebony | Big House

The chaos that ensued took Byleth by surprise. He barely had the time to start forming a sentence, before he was pushed to the side by an older camper running out. It was justified, though. There had been orange lights flicking around the Big House for a while now. No one seemed to have thought much about it, until Byleth finally grasped what was going on. The meat locker was burning.

Other campers rushed to help, and Byleth followed -catching a last glimpse of the creature before it vanished. The next few minutes were a blur. Everyone was running about trying to save what they could, throwing stocks out of burning shelters while others put out the flames. When things seemed to finally go back to some degree of control, Byleth pat his ear lightly, checking that his earring was still there. It was.

It took him a while to find Ebony again, after that. He did, however, eventually recognise her silhouette in the crowd. What had been her last question? What makesss you think that and why would I want to help them ? Ah, right. Her eyes seemed as if they were back to normal, though.

‘Found anything?’ he asked as he reached her height.

After the ground rumbled cabins and crops caught fire. Everyone rushed to put them out. I watched the destruction and chaos. Usually these things are funny and entertaining, but this time… it left a bad taste in my mouth. My shoulder felt heavier as I looked over to see Ace. I looked back at his arm. Your arm is on my shoulder I spoke in my head. “Hi…” I said at him.

“I am back, and we are going to my cabin!”

Ace decided. I didn’t want to jump to conclusion but this sounded… what it sounded like. “Oo…kay?” I said hesitantly. Surely not I thought. We started making our way to where ever his cabin was. I don’t think I cared to ask him who his parent was. He mentioned Bacchus before though. Even though that sounded like an anime name I assumed that was his parent. “Um, why are we going to your cabin exactly?”

I was making my way towards my cabin to grab a sword or two and get to the arena as fast as possible. I hated the idea of the Hunters being the leaders of the hunt, but maybe I should propose myself. If I want to help the camp I’m gonna have to do it some how. And it’s not like training is going to work indefinitely.

Flames started being put out of the cabins without any water touching them. I was confused by this, but shook it off and continued walking. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around. I turned towards Aurelio. “Nice job. Great work.” I nodded and smiled. I turned back around still in the direction of Athena cabin. I was grateful for his abilities but I should start training soon of I want to be chosen for the hunt. “Heading to the arena… if you want to join.” I called back.

Although he was certain that the anger was still there, and rightfully so, it was nice to see that he had momentarily calmed down somewhat. He recognized that the anger was not necessarily about him-- at least, he hoped that Dustin was not truly angry with him --so he had to push aside the slight sting that his snappiness applied.
"Thanks. Yeah, a war is coming but you and I together, we’ll be stepping on the weak and defeat that voice thing.”
This made Akio smile, knowing that he would be alright for now. “Exactly. So let us save our anger for later when the actual war happens. It will be most needed then.” There was a bit of confidence in his voice, suggesting that he had faith in what the two of them could do on a battlefield, despite his own hesitations.
“Once we find out what this is all about, then I can beat you in a race. When I do, then I could show you… a thing or two.” By now, Akio felt more at ease as he nodded, ready for the race. He would think that the two of them were pretty evenly matched, but there was no way for him to be certain until it came time to race. Not long after Dustin spoke, Ajax began speaking inside of the Big House. He turned to look inside, listening carefully so that he did not miss anything. When it was mentioned that some people were seeking a change in leadership in their respective cabins, he shuddered. For some reason, it was a little unsettling and gave him a bad vibe surrounding some of the campers, to say the least. Perhaps it was just a little friendly competition, though. There were, admittedly, some cabin leaders that probably should change, but it was not his place to really think about that.
“Well then… supplies…” He mumbled to himself, thinking. Maybe he would check out the different quests when him and Dustin were done.

"J-ckass? All I did was ask a question.
A quiet, yet drawn out sigh followed as she listened to him use pretty words to cover up how he truly felt about her. The two had never gotten along before. Atleast, she never thought that they had. He annoyed every bit of her, especially when he laughed at the end, ruining everything. If she did not know him, she would have assumed that he had possibly meant what he said but she knew better than that. Arden gagged a little as he said, “… I’ll be the Helena to your Demetrius, 'aight?”
With a frown she mumbled, “Why am I Demetrius?” She did not bother giving in to her ridiculous superstition, believing that it was far from needed. Plus, it would just be another thing for him to tease her about, despite not even believing in the damn thing. Yes she decided to be as civil as she could, knowing full and well that he had not technically done anything to her yet.
“Yes. I just want to leave, honestly. Or get rid of this pent up energy. I can’t stand feeling this useless-- and don’t you dare make a comment teasing me about being so.”
She could hear Ajax announcing what he had wanted to tell the cabin leaders now, including the desired change in cabin leaders. Ajax didn’t know Kara very well, but they had interacted before. Partially since she was the leader, and only camper, of the Khione cabin. Although, she wasn’t the only child of Khione he had ever known. “Yeah there’s a lot of important stuff I have to do, but I am not sure what will be the best next step yet. ” Ajax sighed. “Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown.” he mumbled to himself. Being the son of Zeus and camp leader meant he had a lot of responsibility. Whatever happened next would be on him. The leader may be the one in charge, but that just meant they were responsible for the good and the bad. Ajax glanced out to where he saw the flames die down on the fields. Even if he went to help, there wouldn’t have been much he could have done to help. Ajax just needed a chance to process everything so he could figure out what to do. He looked back to Kara. “But I still wanted to check on you first. That would have been a lot for anyone, and if I don’t look out for the girl who just became the host of the oracle, what hope do I have of being able to look out for the camp?”

“Well I’m sure you’ll figure it out,” Karan shrugged slightly. “You have the Athena cabin and you’re not stupid so it won’t be too hard.” That was the closest Karan could probably come to giving a compliment, “you’re not stupid” is probably the equivilant of a person with normal social skills saying: “You’re an intelligent person.” She rose an eyebrow slightly at the quote he said, “So are you saying you don’t get enough sleep at night or you just concerned someone’s going to attempt a beheading on you.” Her lips twitched slightly as if to smile, but not quite. “Those are both very valid concerns.” Karan was a Khione child, which mean’t that unless everyone in the camp suddenly dropped dead and died she’d be long from being camp leader, which is how she liked it. Well, now things would probably change seeing as she was the oracle and all that, which was a very terrifying thought. She looked towards where Ajax glanced and sighed slightly as she saw the flames drop down and begin to go out on the fields, multiple things happening at once, it gave her a large headache. “Sweet words there,” she paused slightly, impressed with how committed Ajax was to his duty, his job as Camp Leader. “Alright then,” Karan shoved her hands into her jeans pocket. “I’m going to walk around in complete randomness while I contemplate my sad existence, are you coming?” Karan asked before she turned around and began to walk down the steps of the Big House

Boring was definitely an interesting word to describe how she felt about him right now. She did her best to hide her annoyance, but she was practically an open book when it came to this sort of thing. “So… you’re saying that you’re pining after me, then? And that you have reached a rather low point, Marcus?” She looked at him with raised brows, trying to turn the teasing back on him for once. Admittedly, it was not her strong suit but it’s the thought that counts, right? “I guess that explains why you constantly mock me then-- can’t properly come to terms with your emotions, hm?”
“You are quite useless- wait, I dare not make a comment about your uselessness.” A large frown finally broke through the surface, settling on her face. “That counts, *sshole,” she simply stated, trying her best to move past it. If there was one thing she could not handle, it was the idea that she was not good enough and/or was useless. So she tried to move past it, not wanting to discuss it further. Even though she could never believe a thing Marcus said, it still… it still irritated her.
Eventually, he mentioned sparring and her eyebrows furrowed, her face conveying the utmost confusion. “You? Win? Do… Do you even know who you’re talking to?” She thought about it for a moment, deciding that it would be nice to have a real excuse to fight the guy now. After all, she wanted nothing more than to punch him half the time and the other half, she wanted to kick him where the sun does not shine. So she said, “Fine. If you really want a beating from me so badly, we can spar.”

The state pf the camp was not something to be proud of. The walls had been shook to their core, the crops had been burnt and half the camp was frozen in fear. She and Samir included in that number. "No talking about death okay?"she said as lightly as she could. “You’ll get to see Grams and Mom later. For now you just have to be safe for their own piece of mind.” She couldn’t fault the boy for being scared out of his wits and the fact that he thought that he was going to die scared her a lot, because she would be tormented by his lingering soul and it would only make her hurt more. She was a little surprised by how he knew the way she spoke. "It’s going to be our little secret."she told him while trying to force herself to smile.

Just before they could leave, Ajax took started talking again. She paid as much attention as she could until the end of his speech. Quest One- Quintella, Arden, Bryan

~Chapter One~

Quintella Lola Amers wasn’t sold on the idea in the least, “What do I get for it?”

Bryan groaned slightly, he usually was passive but Quintella was an expert on pushing people past their edges. “To live in the camp! Everyone would be safe! The world!”

“Yeah…no… the world hasn’t done sh*t for me, I’m not even qualified for this. No thank you.” Quintella said as she wrapped her arm, the g-ddamned earthquake had caused her to smack into a drawer, cutting her skin.

“Quintella, you have to come.” Arden cut in, getting annoyed.

“Who died and made you praetor?” Quintella huffed slightly still sitting on her bed, her hair long and blue tied back into a ponytail with a headband on her head. “Who decided you guys could even lead the quest?” What happened was in fact that since there was only one male son of Harmonia Ajax had tasked Bryan with choosing the two others who had in turn chosen the other two girls.

“You are extremely childish and selfish, do you know that?” Arden snapped at Quintella, already 45 minutes and no progress.

“More reasons not to go on the quest then?” Quintella remarked as she studied her nails and the clear nail polish applied on them just because, why not?

“Ugh-”

“Let’s all keep calm here ladies,” Bryan interrupted. “Quintella, look, think about it. No chores for a week, at least. No need to deal with the people here, and even better, glory.” Quintella paused up and looked up at Bryan.

“That’s true…” Quintella agreed slightly, beginning to sway.

“C’mon, it’s not going to be that hard, we’ll probably also have some fun outside of this camp.”

Quintella paused, thinking on it for a moment before nodding and sitting up, “Fair, alright, off to our deaths let us begin.” Quintella swung her feet over the side of the bed and jumped off.

“Great, now we just have to figure out where we’re going.” Arden mentioned relieved as the group sat at the desk in the Venus, Quintella wasted no time sweeping the Dior lipsticks and eyeliner off the desk onto the floor.

“Excuse the mess, my siblings are too selfish to pick up after themselves.” Quintella commented sardonically as she sat down at the table.

Just like their cabin leader, Arden thought to herself silently as she stepped over the makeup objects on the pink carpeted cabin floor.

Bryan brought out a piece of paper, the prophecy written out on it. After some time they had come to conclusions, they were heading to Los Angeles, that’s where the underworld began and maybe they could begin to find something there to help them lead them the rest of their way.

“Okay, well time to start going-” Arden stood up, it was late at night and it was already time to start sleeping in preparation for the quest.

“Hold on, you do realize there’s a chance people would recognize you? Old friends, family members, monsters? It happens all the time.” Quintella said as she stood up before addressing both of them. “I suggest you guys change your looks, dye your hair, colored contacts, different clothes, stuff like that.”

“Seriously, colored contacts?” Arden huffed in disbelief, Quintella shrugged.

“Yeah, especially you, people will freak if they see a dead girl walking around. Bryan could probably go through, without changing his appearance though, just wear a hat.”

“Why can’t I wear a hat-” Arden paused as Quintella tugged on a lock of hair.

“You bleeed, no? You also have hair, right?” If someone were to get your DNA, it would cause some concern why there’s DNA of a dead girl.

“But it wouldn’t change a thing-”

“Yes it would, it would kill your hair cells, and therefore the cell would be dead and it would be much harder to get your DNA.” Quintella pauses, “And for Christ’s sake don’t bleed somewhere.”

“I’m not dying my hair-”

“It’s a simple thing, dye it or risk causing more trouble in the outside world.” Arden quieted and Quintella continued. “I’ve dyed hair plenty of times you’ll be fine.”

“…Fine.”

“See you later then,” Quintella pushed the duo out of her cabin. “Lovely, will meet you on the Camp’s Hill, prepared for possible death. Have lovely day, get out of my cabin, bye!”

~ Time Skip to few hours ~

It was later in the day when Arden knocked on the Venus cabin, it opened to show a pretty blonde with long hair and startling green eyes and a pretty smile paired with a white hat. “Hey there I’m looking for Quint-”

“That’s me, idiot.” The voice shocked Arden to the core, the usually edgy girl had transformed into a supermodel nearly overnight. She had heard rumors about the girl’s hair but wasn’t around long enough to see it transform into anything special. “Perks of having hair that grows way too long too fast,” Quintella remarked as she pulled Arden into her cabin.

The Venus cabin was mostly sleeping as Arden was led into the bathroom, decorated with fresh rose petals and pink walls with a gorgeous mirror. It took an hour or so and a little argument over the choice of color but eventually with the hair dye, and some other enhancements, Arden looked like a new girl.

“Wow,” Arden looked in the mirror unsure of whether to be horrified or surprised or both.

“You’ll look normal again when you return to the camp,” Quintella mentions offhandedly as she cleans off a pair of tweezers. “With the magic, our makeovers rarely stay permanent anymore.” Quintella said before opening the door of the bathroom and leaving it, Arden walking after her.

It was getting dark and they stood in the shed, it had all sorts of supplies. Ropes, daggers, crossbows, Swords, bow and arrows, coats and hats, dramachas, large backpacks with various items inside, flares, lighter, rubbing alcohol, bandages, ambrosia and a bunch of broken pieces which could’ve assumed to been a phone.

“So we need to each choose two things to bring along with us.” Bryan said.
