William kept listening to her wondering if he made the wrong or right decision in not telling her his story. But as he kept listening he found the answer to the question he kept asking. “Is it my fault I didn’t run sooner? Is it my wrong choice to go down this path instead of overcoming it when I could and bein a better man despite life bringing me down? Would I be different if instead of joining the army underage I would’ve found my own way to a better life?” Some of those were answered within minutes of him knowing this woman, something that he never experienced before so he knew if he was ever going to tell anybody about his backstory … It would be her. Either right now unless he gets too afraid. or sometime during this cabing thing, but he made a promise to himself he would have to tell her as soon as he was brave enough.
“Wow, Miss Miller, you might be the most considerate person and teacher I’ve ever met. Most people don’t usually care so much about something like that as much as you do. With such a view of the world I understand why you would feel guilty for doing things that aren’t so bad at all.” He came towards her and cupped her face. “Your purity and kindness … it’s as adorable as a puppy. I think I have one for you if you want it.” He knew he wasn’t ready to tell her his story, she was just going to have to settle for him sharing his suprisingly gentle and sweet secret interest. Out of the inside of his big jacket he pulls out a blanket and something moving seems to be wrapped up in it. A newborn labrador puppy looks sleepily out of the blanket as William tries to unfold it without waking up the lab. “Don’t tell anybody I gave him to you, but I found him close to here abandoned, unsure what happened to his mother. Now he needs somebody to take care of him and I belive somebody as compassionate, sweet, kind and just outright adorable as him would be the perfect step-mother for him because he’s also sweet, kind and just outright adorable. So what do you say? Do you want him?”
